Apple recently launched the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro lineup of next-generation smartphones from the brand. The highlight of the smartphone is the new Dynamic Island, the replaces the notch on top of the screen in the Pro models.
For this generation of phones, the Dynamic Island feature is limited to the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. Now, it is being claimed that all the models of iPhone next year will come with the Dynamic Island feature.
Ross Young says that he expects the Dynamic Island feature to be available on the standard iPhone 14 models next year. He adds that he is still not expecting the regular models to have an LTPO display.
If the report is to be believed, then the standard Apple iPhone 15 will have support for the Dynamic Island feature, but there won’t be support for the ProMotion display and an always-on display option, which will be limited to the Pro models.
Dynamic Island is a pill-shaped cutout area surrounding the Face ID sensors and front camera on the iPhone 14 Pro models. It is an interactive area that can display system alerts like incoming phone calls, and it will also work with Live Activities in third-party apps when iOS 16.1 gets released.
The new feature is tempting enough for the owners of the previous generation iPhones to consider buying the new models, which otherwise isn’t worth upgrading if the phone isn’t too old. If there are not many who plan to upgrade, then it affects Apple’s bottom line.
Google is gearing up to launch the Pixel 7 series smartphones on October 6 at the Made By Google event. The devices will feature new chipsets called Tensor G2.
Ahead of the launch, the Pixel 7 Pro has appeared on Geekbench, giving us an idea of the new chip’s performance. The chipset has an octa-core processor onboard with a base frequency of 1.80GHz. Two of the cores have a max clock of 2.35GHz and the remaining two can boost up to 2.85GHz.
It looks like the company is using the same combination of two Cortex-X1 cores, two Cortex-A76 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores, with higher clock speeds. The chipset has a new GPU onboard called the Mali-G710, which is expected to offer a 20% bump in performance and 20% increased power efficiency.
The benchmark shows that the Google Pixel 7 Pro scores 1068 points on the single-core test and 2149 points on the multi-core test of Geekbench 5. Other than that, the listing shows that the device has 12GB RAM and operates on Android 12.
Google Pixel 7 Pro specs (expected)
In terms of design, the Pixel 7 Pro will carry over the majority of the details from the Pixel 6 Pro with some changes. It is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display.

In June, Tecno unveiled the Tecno Pop 6 entry-level phone. Now, the company has unveiled the Tecno Pop 6 Pro as its successor in Bangladesh. Some of the major features of the handset include a large-sized HD+ display, a big battery, and a fingerprint scanner. Here is all the information on the specifications, features, and price of the device.
Tecno Pop 6 Pro specifications and features
The Tecno Pop 6 Pro has arrived with a 6.6-inch display with a teardrop notch. It offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. The handset runs on Android 12 Go edition, which is overlaid with HiOS 8.6. The fingerprint scanner is built into the power button on the right side of the phone.
Tecno Pop 6 Pro
The display notch houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera. There is an LED flash on the top bezel of the device for snapping brighter selfies in dim-light conditions. Its back panel has an 8-megapixel main camera, a depth sensor, and an LED flash.
The Pop 6 Pro features an unspecified quad-core processor. It is coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. For more storage, it has a microSD card slot. It packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. It offers other features such as face unlock, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. While it is not clear, it appears to feature a microUSB port like the Tecno Pop 5 Pro, which debuted in January this year.
Unfortunately, Tecno Bangladesh is yet to confirm the price of the Pop 6 Pro. However, it is said to be priced at around $110. It will be available in Power Black and Peaceful Blue colors. Since the company has started to officially tease its arrival in India, it is expected to launch soon in the country.
Vivo unveiled the Vivo X80 series of smartphones in April this year in China. The Chinese manufacturer is said to be working on the X90 series for the Chinese market. A tipster from China (via. TechGoing) has leaked some specifications of the Vivo X90 Pro.
The new leak states that the Vivo X90 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is not a surprise since several upcoming flagship phones are expected to feature the said SoC. As far as the SD8G2 is concerned, it is speculated to launch through Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Tech Summit, which will be held in November.
The Vivo X90 Pro leak further states that it will arrive with support for 100W fast charging. It is said to house a larger battery. The X80 Pro is packed with a 4,700mAh battery. It is likely that the X90 Pro may house a battery of around 5,000mAh capacity.
Vivo X80 Pro
For photography, it will feature a 1-inch camera sensor. To recall, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which was made official in August in China, is the world’s first phone to feature a 1-inch camera sensor. It is equipped with the Sony IMX989. It is not clear whether the X90 Pro has the same main camera. At the end of the leak, it is said that the X90 Pro’s camera will be a periscope zoom camera.
There is no word on the launch date of the Vivo X90 series. The Vivo X80 lineup debuted in Q2 2022 in China. Hence, it is likely that the X90 lineup may launch around the same time next year. Some Chinese flagship phones like the Xiaomi 13 series and OnePlus 11 Pro 5G are expected to debut earlier than their predecessors. So, it’s possible that the Vivo X90 line could come out as early as the first quarter of 2023.
The Xiaomi 13 series is likely to break cover in November this year. The series is expected to feature at least two devices, such as the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The former will be a compact flagship phone, whereas the Pro model will be a larger device, as it was seen in the Xiaomi 12 series. Well before the expected November launch, a leaked photo of an engineering unit of the Xiaomi 13 Pro is now doing the rounds of social media platforms.
Xiaomi 13 Pro leaked image
While the leaked image reveals key details about the Xiaomi 13 Pro, its authenticity could not be confirmed. The device can be seen sporting a punch-hole display with curved edges just like the Xiaomi 12 Pro from last year. According to a previous leak, the Xiaomi 13 Pro features a 6.7-inch Samsung E6 AMOLED display that offers a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The image shows the “Above Phone” page of the device. The “Nuwa” codename and the 2210132C model number, which belongs to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, can be seen in the image. A previous report had claimed that the “Fuxi” codename belongs to the Pro model. However, it can be said based on the leaked image that the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro could be codenamed Fuxi and Nuwa, respectively.
The 3.0GHz octa-core processor that powers the Xiaomi 13 Pro seems to be the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. The device can be seen running on the MIUI 14 flavored Android 13 OS. It has 12 GB of RAM and supports up to 3 GB of virtual RAM.
Other reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will feature three 50-megapixel cameras on the back. It may house a single-cell battery that supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Vivo X Fold+ is likely to launch by the end of September. Recently, the device was certified by the TENAA authority in China. Jia Jingdong, Vice President of Vivo and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, revealed key details about the X Fold+ before its launch.
In April, Vivo introduced the Vivo X Fold as its first-ever foldable phone in China. The device is not available in the global markets. Jia has confirmed that the company’s next foldable phone will be called the Vivo X Fold+.
Jia revealed that the front and inner foldable displays of the Vivo X Fold+ will support a 120Hz refresh rate. He said that the foldable screen can be folded at different angles, such as 30 degrees, 90 degrees, and 120 degrees. He added that the display has received 19 DisplayMate A+ certifications. Like on the original Vivo X Fold, the cover and inner displays are integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Some reports have claimed that it will feature the same 8.03-inch foldable display and a 6.53-inch cover screen that was made available on the Vivo X Fold.
Vivo X Fold Plus in red
Under the hood, the Vivo X Fold Plus will have the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile platform. It will house a 4,730mAh battery, which will carry support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. To recall, the X Fold has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, a 4,600mAh battery, and 66W charging support. Rumors are rife that the X Fold+ will inherit the 16-megapixel front camera and 50-megapixel quad cameras that were made available on the original X Fold.
Jia shared the above image to tease the design of the X Fold+. The original model was made available in blue and black. As can be seen in the image, the X Fold+ will come in a new red color with a leather finish. A recent report claimed that it will come in 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage configurations.

Earlier this month, an Infinix smartphone with model number X6815C was seen in the database of the Bluetooth SIG. The listing revealed that the device will be called the Infinix Zero 5G 2023 when it arrives on the market.

Next, the FCC document reveals that the Zero 5G 2023 has a 4,900mAh (rated value) battery that supports 33W rapid charging. The iPhone 14 just went on sale and a huge amount of people from all around the world purchased it on day one. It looks like it will be a great year for Apple, but all those sales do not necessarily mean that the new iPhone is the best device in its price range. That is the reason why we are comparing it to its best rivals from the other brands. Given its compact nature and its price, a bunch of hours ago we compared it to the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S22. Now, it is the turn of another compact flagship which a lot of people might prefer due to its more affordable price. Here is a comparison between the main specifications of the new iPhone 14 and the Xiaomi 12. If you are wondering whether you should save money for the latter or choose the former because of its amazing specifications, you are definitely in the right place.
Xiaomi 12 vs Apple iPhone 14

DISPLAY

6.1 inches, 1170 x 2532p (Full HD+), Super Retina XDR OLED
In terms of design, even though almost nothing changed since last year (the major changes were reserved for the Pro variants of the lineup), I prefer the iPhone 14. I would choose it not only because of its compact size but also because of its flat borders and its higher build quality. despite the presence of that ugly notch above the display. Its design is composed of a glass back protected by Ceramic Shield and a frame made of aluminum. It is waterproof with the IP68 certification and it can go underwater for up to 6 meters deep and for 30 minutes without damage. Unfortunately, the Xiaomi 12 is not water resistant, but it is still built with premium materials including a glass back protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and an aluminum frame. Further, it does not have a notch but a small punch hole placed centrally, as well as very narrow bezels around the display.
Display
If you are looking for the best image quality, then you would better choose the display of the iPhone 14. It is a Super Retina XDR OLED panel with a diagonal of 6.1 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels, HDR10 certification, and Dolby Vision support. But if you are a gamer, then the Xiaomi 12 may represent a better choice for you thanks to its 120 Hz refresh rate (the iPhone has just 60 Hz). With the Xiaomi, you get an AMOLED panel with a wider diagonal of 6.28 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, the HDR10+ certification, Dolby Vision support, and the ability to show up to 68 billion colors. It relies on an in-display fingerprint reader for authentication, while the Apple device does not have a fingerprint reader, but it supports 3D facial recognition thanks to the hardware sensors placed in the notch enabling the Face ID feature.
Specs & Software
When it comes to performance, here the most important thing is not the hardware but the software. Given that the iPhone 14 runs the iOS operating system which is optimized better than Android, it is able to provide higher performance. Under the hood, it sports an Apple A15 Bionic chipset built with a 5 nm production process and with an hexa-core architecture composed of two Avalanche CPUs running at a max frequency of 3.23 GHz, four Blizzard CPUs running at 1.82 GHz, and a 5-core Apple proprietary GPU. It also features 6 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. Even though the iPhone looks better in terms of performance, the Xiaomi 12 remains one of the most powerful Android phones thanks to the presence of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform running at a max frequency of 3 GHz and built with a 4 nm production process. It is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage.
Camera
Thanks to the sensors and the optimization of iOS, the iPhone 14 is able to shoot better photos in a lot of scenarios, if compared to the Xiaomi 12. It is equipped with a 12 MP main camera with sensor-shift OIS, a 12 MP ultrawide secondary camera, and a 12 MP selfie camera supporting 4K video recording. The Xiaomi 12 has a triple rear camera composed of a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 13 MP ultrawide lens, and a 5 MP macro camera, while on the front it has a 32 MP snapper with 1080p video recording at 60 fps.
The battery found on the Xiaomi 12 is much bigger than the one found on the iPhone 14: we are talking about a capacity of 4500 mAh instead of just 3279 mAh. Even if iOS has better optimization, often the Xiaomi 12 should provide longer battery life. It even charges quicker thanks to 67W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, but unlike its rival, it does not support MagSafe technology.
Price
The iPhone 14 starts from $999 or €999, while you need less than €600 or $600 to purchase the Xiaomi 12 thanks to current street prices. Which one would you choose?

However, one change is in the color options. Instead of the standard Black and White found on the earlier announced ROG Phone 6 smartphones, the ROG Phone 6D will be available in 2 new colors: Metallic Grey and Matte White.
Adding to the gaming aesthetic, the ROG Phone 6D has a vertical RGB strip on the back that can light up in two different colors at once, while the more premium ROG Phone 6D Ultimate will feature a second display on the back that can be configured with multiple animations and can be used to show notifications or system metrics.
Asus ROG Phone 6D Series Specs
Both the standard ROG Phone 6D and the ROG Phone 6D will feature MediaTek’s latest highest-end Dimensity 9000+ smartphone processor, manufactured on TSMC’s industry-leading 4nm process. Comparing it to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 found on the earlier released ROG Phone 6 series, Asus hints that the new ROG Phone 6D surpasses them in raw performance in benchmarks.
