Design

The designs of the Motorola X30 Pro and the Motorola S30 Pro are not so different. They both come with a glass back protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and a curved display at the edges: very elegant phones, and they are also splash and dust resistnat. The only noticeable differences between these handsets are the camera modules and the color options. With these two devices, you get a punch hole placed centrally, all the physical keys on the right side, and the whole rear side clean with the exception of the camera module. The design is definitely one of their strongest points and these are among the most beautiful Motorola smartphones ever.

Display

The displays of these two phones are not so different in terms of specifications. With the Motorola X30 Pro, you get a wider 6.7-inch panel, so better if you are a productivity user or a gamer, while the diagonal of the display of the Motorola S30 Pro is 6.55 inches. For the rest, they are pretty much the same. These are two OLED panels able to show up to one billion colors with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. The Motorola X30 Pro is the only one equipped with stereo speakers, while you get a mono speaker on the S30 Pro. Both the displays are curved at the sides and come with a centrally-placed punch hole, as we already mentioned above.

Specs & Software

The most advanced hardware department belongs to the Motorola X30 Pro, which is also one of the most powerful devices in the whole market. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset by Qualcomm built with a 4 nm production process and coming with an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.75 GHz, and four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, as well as an Adreno 730 GPU. The chip is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, but there is also a variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The Motorola S30 Pro gets a Snapdragon 888+ mobile platform built at 5 nm and with an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X1 CPU running at a max frequency of 2.99 GHz, three Cortex A78 CPUs running at 2.42 GHz, four Cortex A55 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 660 GPU. These devices run Android 12 out of the box, customized by MYUI 4.0.

Camera

The Motorola X30 Pro wins the camera comparison and it is the world’s first phone equipped with a 200 MP main camera. The main sensor includes the OIS and is paired with a 50 MP ultrawide lens and a 12 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. On the front, there is a stunning 60 MP selfie shooter. The Motorola S30 Pro has a triple camera composed of a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 13 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The front camera is a classic 32 MP snapper.

Battery

If you need a longer battery life, opt for the Motorola X30 Pro because it is equipped with a bigger 4600 mAh battery. It provides blazing charging speeds thanks to 125W fast charging and it even supports 50W wireless charging.

Price

The Motorola X30 Pro carries a starting price tag of €550/$550 at the actual change, while the S30 Pro starts from €330/$330 at the actual change. Currently, these devices are only available in the Chinese market, but they are supposed to head soon in the global market too. Which one would you pick?

YouTuber transforms the Galaxy Z Fold 4 into a Windows phone

The just released Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 could be in for a great run. A tech geek has posted a YouTube video that detailed how he transformed the latest Samsung foldable flagship into a Windows Phone. Mark Spurrel used a combination of two Android launchers and Bixby Routines to achieve his objective. The process holds some promise for the versatility of the Galaxy Z Fold 4.Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 have just become available with improved components from the first-generation Z-series foldable phones. The YouTube video covered how the tech geek transformed his new foldable to look like a Windows PC on the inner display. The process showed a folding phone having the Windows Phone tiles when closed. These tiles are customizable and match what you would expect on a typical Windows Phone. In addition, Spurrel was able to create quick access to other functions like the camera.

The transformed inner display of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has the Windows 10 desktop environment, with shortcuts and the start menu. The widgets for the clock, calendar, and other settings are located in the bottom left corner. There is also a full panel for settings and notifications. The innovator, however, pointed out that the transformation isn’t perfect, as the phone constantly switches between launchers. It is surely a great starting point however and he can significantly improve the process for greater efficiency.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 currently starts at $1,799.99. It is both an excellent tablet and a great smartphone combined in a single device. It has a lightning-fast Snapdragon chipset and an overall durable and performance-driven setup. There are a variety of trade-ins and network plans from several carriers like AT&T and Verizon, as well as retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.

Motorola Razr 2022 vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4: Specs Comparison

Samsung is currently the leader of the foldable phones market, but several other manufacturers are challenging it with their amazing flagship phones. Xiaomi released the Mix Fold 2 to take on the Galaxy Z Fold4, while Lenovo came up with the Motorola Razr 2022 in order to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4. Both these devices are clamshell foldable phones sporting flagship-class specifications and small external displays, but which one is the best? In order to answer this question, given that these handsets share the same form factor and even the same price range, we decided to publish a comparison between the main specifications of the Motorola Razr 2022 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4.

Motorola Razr 2022 vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4

3700 mAh, Fast Charging 25W, fast wireless charging 15W
ADDITIONAL FEATURES Foldable display, secondary external display, 5G, water repellent Foldable display, secondary external display, 5G, IPX8 waterproof

Design

As already mentioned, both these handsets are clamshell foldable phones: while unfolded, they look like traditional smartphones, but if you fold them, you can halve their dimensions and let them be extremely compact. This is the distinctive advantage of these devices. I personally prefer the design of the Motorola Razr 2022 because it reminds me of the older and iconic Razr feature phone and it has a wider external display. But you should note that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 is thinner and it is waterproof thanks to the IPX8 certification. The Samsung foldable phone has a better build quality, it has a glass back protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, and it supports eSIM in all of its variants.

Display

The displays are definitely the most important thing about these phones and after judging the specifications, I would personally prefer the Motorola Razr 2022. The foldable display looks more interesting: it is a P-OLED panel able to show up to one billion colors with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification. It is a very nice screen not only because it is foldable, but also for its image quality. And it includes an in-display fingerprint reader. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 has a 6.7-inch panel with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Motorola Razr 2022 looks more convincing even when it comes to the external display: a wider G-OLED panel with a diagonal of 2.7 inches and a resolution of 573 x 800 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 has a smaller 1.9-inch external display with AMOLED technology and a resolution of 260 x 512 pixels, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. Anyway, you can use both these displays to shoot selfies and use several features of the phones.

Specs & Software

The Motorola Razr 2022 has the best hardware. Both the handsets are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform by Qualcomm built with a 4 nm production process. It is a chipset with an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.75 GHz, four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 730 GPU. The Motorola Razr 2022 features a higher amount of RAM: 12 GB, while the Samsung stops at 8 GB. The maximum amount of internal storage is exactly the same: up to 512 GB. The foldable phones run Android 12 out of the box but are customized with different user interfaces based on Android 12. Currently, the One UI by Samsung looks more complete.

Camera

On paper, the camera department of the Motorola Razr 2022 is superior to the one found on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4. It has a dual rear camera including a 50 MP main sensor with OIS and a 13 MP ultrawide camera with a FOV of 121 degrees. The Samsung has two 12 MP sensors: the main camera with OIS and an ultrawide lens. The Samsung has a better front camera: a 10 MP sensor that can record videos with a 4K resolution.

Battery

Samsung managed to include a bigger battery on its phones, even though it has a slimmer design. With a capacity of 3700 mAh, the Galaxy Z Flip4 should provide longer battery life and, unlike the Motorola, it features wireless charging. On the other hand, the Razr 2022 charges quicker thanks to 33W fast charging. Do you prefer wireless charging or a faster charging technology on a phone?

Price

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 is available in the global market with a starting price of $750/€750 (prices vary depending on the market), while the Motorola Razr 2022 is only available in China with a starting price tag of €860/$860. Now you know all the differences: which one do you prefer?

You Need A New Phone For Sumeru: Genshin Impact 3.0 – Our Phone Recommendations

I believe these are exciting times for Genshin players. Because the game is finally updated with a new country, new storyline, and new characters. Some people are happily exploring Sumeru with their New wifu, some are being Spider-Man in Sumeru, and I was looking all over the jungle for this mushroom. Some people went crazy as soon as they downloaded version 3.0 because their phones were hot and laggy. And they didn’t have enough storage space. Maybe this 3.0 update made a lot of people seriously consider whether it’s time for a new phone.

Many of the features added to Genshin 3.0 are very much a test of the phone’s performance, and a good example of this is the Dendro Core, which is created when Hydro and Dendro react. It adds a lot more explosive effects to the battlefield, which is one of the sources of lag. Another example is the intricate structure of Sumeru City and Rainforest, which also has a high demand on your phone’s read and write speeds. Including the lovely Collie, whose skills are a nightmare for cell phones.

Best phone for Genshin Impact 19

Plus Genshin 3.0 game size is up to 17GB so how long will that old phone in your hand really last? As a Genshin player who has reviewed many phones, I can give you some recommendations.

Best phone for Genshin Impact 15

Best Phone to Play Games like Genshin Impact

I’d like to make our testing conditions clear first: all phones were set up with Highest Graphics on, 60fps, and motion blur off. The first test was to stroll around Sumeru City, then go to the Domain for 3 battles to simulate the player’s daily habits as much as possible. Only the frame rate in the Domain is used to calculate the average. Where the frame rate drops in the middle is in loading, not overheating.

Best Phones Under $400

Best phone for Genshin Impact 09

If you are just spending the least amount of money to get a phone that can run Genshin 3.0 smoothly, then I recommend any phone with a Dimensity 8100 processor. The Redmi K50 and realme GT Neo 3 that we tested before are representative phones of this chip and still pass our daily game simulation tests very smoothly. The temperature is low and if you just play Genshin, these are the two phones I recommend most.

Best phone for Genshin Impact 08

Best of all, they are very cheap right now, even the 12+256 version is around $450 and the battery is big enough to make it the perfect Genshin phone. If the budget is still not enough, then the POCO F4 at less than $400 is also worth buying. It’s just that Snapdragon 870’s performance is starting to fail for this game, requiring you to lower your Graphics a bit to reduce lag.

Best Phones Under $500

Best phone for Genshin Impact 06

If you have a little more budget, then I recommend a few of the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phones that have come out recently. After all, a new electronic device is always better than an old one. I recommend the Redmi K50 Ultra, after today’s update it became the best-performing phone in this video. The OnePlus 10T would also be a good choice. Although not as good as the K50 Ultra, where lag can be felt in Sumeru City, the performance in Domain is still very good.

Best phone for Genshin Impact 05The Chinese version of the OnePlus 10T, which is also called OnePlus Ace Pro, even has a 16GB + 512GB storage version to choose from, so no matter how big the Genshin gets in the future, you won’t have to worry about running out of space. In October, OnePlus will also launch a special edition phone in collaboration with Genshin, and we will make an Unboxing video for you guys after launch.

Best phone for Genshin Impact 03

For an extra hundred dollars, the realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition has a game insertion feature that allows you to get a higher frame rate while playing more stably. As we said in its review, this feature is particularly helpful for Genshin, and it also has a shoulder button, so it’s worth an additional hundred dollars.

Best phone for Genshin Impact 02

I don’t recommend you buy any brand of flagship phone that costs over $1000 just for playing Genshin, because most of your money is spent on their camera systems. If you just focus on the gaming performance of these expensive devices, they are no different than a $400 phone, or even worse. So with the $500 saved, you can get 200 Pulls, which is equivalent to C1 Tighnari or C6 Collei, which might be a better choice for Genshin players. And why I did not recommend any gaming phone, is because I think a phone is a communication tool. After all, not everyone is okay with a gaming phone’s looks. An ordinary phone with good performance is the best.

I believe that everyone who has experienced Genshin version 3.0 can feel that miHoYo is constantly improving. At the same time, the requirements of the game for cell phones are also increasing, so this video can help you choose the right phone for you would be great. By the way, the Quests are very long this time. So I’m off to continue my Sumeru trip. Ad astra abyssosque! I’ll see you next time.

Last year, Samsung manufactured Google’s first Tensor chip on its 5nm node process. The chipset was used in the Pixel 6 series and offered some decent performance. Now a new report suggests the South Korean company is working on Google’s next generation Tensor as well as its own Exynos 1380 SoC.

As per a report by GalaxyClub, Samsung is testing a next-gen Tensor chipset. The chipset with model number S5P9865 is said to be the third-generation Google Tensor chipset that will power the Pixel 8 series. The development board of the chipset has the code name ‘Ripcurrent’ and the chip itself is codenamed ‘Zuma’. The first-generation Tensor SoC also had a similar model number (S5P9845), so it is assumed that the mentioned chipset is a Samsung-manufactured Tensor Soc.

Reports have suggested that Tensor 2 would be developed on a developer board called “Cloudripper,” which means the newly discovered model number (S5P9865) would likely be the third generation of Tensor SoC.

As per the report, the Exynos 1280 Soc is being developed and tested under the product code S5E8835. The Exynos 1280 is found on the Galaxy A53, so we can expect its successor to power Samsung Galaxy A54.

Samsung is yet to confirm any details about the development of new SoCs. The information above is based on speculations, so we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt. We hope to learn more details in the coming days.
