iPhone 14 series launch could get delayed due to China-Taiwan tension

The upcoming iPhone 14 series from Apple, which is expected to launch in September, could be delayed. A recent report claims that the ongoing political tension between China and Taiwan may cause Apple to postpone the release of the iPhone 14 series.

iPhone 14

Everything started when Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, paid a visit to Taiwan, which China did not like. For those wondering how these elevated political tensions affect the iPhone 14 series launch, Apple outsources the manufacturing of its chipsets to the Taiwanese semiconductor giant TSMC. At the same time, China is the primary location of Apple’s component suppliers for the iPhone.

Apple has reportedly urged its Taiwanese suppliers to adhere to China’s new rules, prohibiting labeling products as “made in Taiwan, China” or “Chinese Taipai.”

Supply shipments from Taiwan to the Pegatron factory in Suzhou, China, which manufactures various products for American companies like Microsoft and Taiwan, have already been halted by China. These shipments are being held up by customs as they check the shipping documentation for any mention of Taiwan or its official “Republic of China” designation.

During her tour to Taiwan, Pelosi was photographed with Pegatron Vice Chairman Jason Chen and other business leaders from the chip industry. A trade war could result from the existing tension and impede the production of the upcoming iPhone before its release.

New Google Pixel phone with Ceramic back, 2K display is in the works: Tipster

Google did something unique with the design of the Pixel 6 series. The phones looked like no other from the back. The visor-like camera bar isn’t just aesthetic, but it also gives the Pixel series a new identity. However, it seems Google is going to do more with its phone’s design. As per a popular tipster, big G might be working on a new Pixel smartphone made from ceramic materials.

According to popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, Google is joining hands with Foxconn, the company that also manufactures the iPhone, to build a mysterious Pixel flagship and the long-rumored Pixel foldable phone in China (via 9to5Google).

Pixel smartphone with ceramic back

This comes as a surprise because back in 2020, Google moved its manufacturing operations from China to Vietnam. But what’s more interesting is the tipster’s claim that the unnamed Pixel device in the works will be clad in ceramic materials.

Google has already used plastic, glass, and metal in the phones, but it has never tried its hands on ceramic. So, if the tipster’s claims are anything to go by, we might soon be seeing the first Pixel smartphone with ceramics.

Details about the ceramic Pixel are pretty short, of course. But the tipster suggests it will feature a 2K display with a center punch-hole for the selfie camera. It will be powered by the Tensor 2 chipset which also be found in the upcoming Pixel 7 smartphones.

Further, the device is said to have a 50MP camera and a periscope lens. The tipster also mentions a Sony IMX787 64 MP sensor which would be used for the telephoto camera. It will be interesting to see how this alleged ceramic Pixel will compete against the iPhones and Galaxy S22 Ultras of the world.

We can expect it to feature an IPS LCD panel of around 6.6-inch size. It is likely not a performance-oriented phone and may feature a Unisoc processor.

Talking about the cameras, it will likely feature a triple rear camera setup because that’s what the phone industry is into these days. On the software front, it may run Realme UI R Edition, which is based on Android-11 and is optimized for budget smartphones.

Realme C33 will likely be priced under Rs. 14,000 (roughly $177). There has been no official word from Realme about the smartphone so take all these speculations with a pinch of salt. We expect more information to surface online very soon.

Qualcomm inks a multi-year sponsorship deal with Manchester United

Chipmaker Qualcomm has had a strong performance amidst the global chip crisis and the corona virus pandemic. The company unveiled two premium chips that are highly sought out among OEMs. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chips are top-end high-performance SoCs. Riding on the crest of its strong showing, Qualcomm has announced a new sponsorship deal with English club Manchester United. The company says it is a multi-year global strategic collaboration with one of the most popular football clubs in the world. The new arrangement will further help to establish the Snapdragon chipset lineup.Qualcomm

At the moment, Qualcomm is neither directly manufacturing any smartphone nor retailing direct products to consumers. It is also unlikely that the company will delve into phone production at the moment. It is therefore unclear what the specifics of the new sponsorship entail. Qualcomm will hope to leverage the wide global followership of the Manchester United brand to further market its chips. This strategic partnership could further establish the Snapdragon brand, although it seems to be ahead of any other competition with the top-notch Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

Qualcomm says that the new strategic collaboration will create unique events and experiences for fans at Old Trafford and across the globe. The collaboration will also see Qualcomm providing technical support for the club’s planned improvements to mobile connectivity at Old Trafford. This could afford the deployment of Snapdragon platforms to enable ground-breaking experiences for Manchester United fans around the world. So, we might see some Snapdragon branding within Manchester United from this season onwards.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Roundup: Launch Date, Design, Specs, and Expected Pricing

Samsung really changed the fate of foldable smartphones with its Galaxy Z Flip 3. The phone came at a reasonable price and featured the same processor as the Galaxy S21 series. It felt like the first foldable that actually appealed to the masses. Now, the company is ready to bring the successor to the Flip 3 and it definitely has big shoes to fill in.

The company hasn’t announced the foldable by name, but some promising rumors, press renders, and leaks have already revealed a lot about the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4. So, here’s everything that we know so far.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event Poster

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Launch Date

Just like last year, Samsung is said to announce the next Galaxy Z Flip this August. The company is holding its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10th at 9 AM and that’s when we can expect the Galaxy Z Flip 4 to launch. Alongside it, we’ll likely see the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Watch 5 series, and some new earbuds.

The launch date is almost certain because the promotional images and teasers clearly show us the silhouette of a foldable that clearly looks like a Flip phone. In addition, Samsung’s smartphone head also teased new foldables in a recent blog post.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Design

Numerous leaks and renders suggest that the design of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be almost identical to its predecessor. Sure, the device will carry a few changes here and there but nothing too prominent. The foldable is said to have tweaked dimensions, it will be slightly smaller and thicker with dimensions of 165.1 x 71.9 x 7.2mm.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
Image via Onleaks

We can expect the Flip 4 to feature a cover display placed in a black strip up top, along with the two cameras. The internal folding screen will likely be 6.7-inches while the cover screen is said to be bumped from 1.83-inches up to 1.9-inches. Moreover, rumors suggest that the crease will likely be less noticeable. The hinge on the device is said to be slightly thinner but there will still be a gap between the two sides of the smartphone when it’s folded closed.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
Image via Onleaks

The device is said to be coming in Graphite, Bora Purple, Pink Gold, and Blue colorways. Moreover, reports suggest that Samsung will bring back the “Bespoke edition” which will allow people to customize the color of the front, back, and frame of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Specifications

The specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 are all over the internet. The device is said to feature a foldable AMOLED 2X display that will offer a Full HD+ resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate.

If we talk about the processor, the Z Flip 4 will likely draw power from a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Soc and since the launch of Moto Razr 2022 is postponed, it may even get the title of the world’s first foldable device to feature this processor. The device could come with at least 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. The device will likely match the performance of Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series, in fact, it may even outperform them.

The device is expected to carry a slightly bigger battery than its predecessor. Leaks suggest it will be backed by 3700mAh dual-cell battery. The device is expected to support a maximum of 25W fast wired charging and sluggish 10W wireless charging.

On the software front, the device will run Android 12L based on One UI 4 out of the box. For the unversed, Android 12L is a version of Android that is optimized for foldable devices. The device will receive 3 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates (If it lasts that long).

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Cameras

From what we know so far, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will likely come with the same set of cameras as the previous Galaxy Z Flip 3. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which is launching alongside the device, is rumored to flaunt several camera improvements.

The device is expected to have the same 12-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and 10-megapixel selfie shooter as that of its predecessor. But it is possible that the new snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset that is said to be under the hood of the Flip 4 may bring new camera features and better photo and video quality.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Price

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is said to have only a minor increase in pricing. Samsung understands that in order to make foldables mainstream, it has to keep the prices under control. We think consumers will be more than happy to purchase the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 if the prices are somewhat similar to its predecessor.

A Report suggests the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be priced at €1109 for the base 128GB variant. The 256 GB storage model is said to come at a price of €1169 (roughly $1191).

Design

At first glance, the OnePlus 10T and the OnePlus 10 Pro have the same look. But there are a few important differences you should consider. First of all, there is no doubt about the fact that the OnePlus 10 Pro is the winner of the design comparison. It offers two main advantages: the presence of a curved screen at the sides, and the presence of an aluminum frame, as well as a rear glass protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The OnePlus 10T comes with a glass back as well, but it is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and the frame is made of plastic. Further, the phone is thicker, even though it has a smaller battery. So the Pro variant is definitely better in terms of aesthetics. Note that the U.S. version of the OnePlus 10 Pro comes with the IP68 certification making it dustproof and waterproof, while the 10T and the other global variants of the 10 Pro do not offer a certification against water and dust.

Display

One of the most important advantages of the OnePlus 10 Pro over the OnePlus 10T is the display. First of all, it comes with a higher Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels. Further, it has the LTPO 2.0 enabling an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. The 10T has a lower Full HD+ resolution and it lacks the LTPO technology. For the rest, the two AMOLED panels are not so different. They are able to show up to one billion colors and they support the HDR10+ certification, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. These phones also come with good stereo speakers for an improved audio experience. Note that the display of the Pro variant is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus just like the glass back, while the 10T has the weaker Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Specs & Software

When it comes to the hardware, the OnePlus 10T is the winner of this comparison. Indeed, it has a more powerful chipset: the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 found on the 10T is actually an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 found on the OnePlus 10 Pro. It is a chipset built with a 4 nm production process sporting an octa-core architecture. It is composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, as well as an Adreno 730 GPU. The chipset is paired with up to 16 GB of RAM, while the max amount of RAM found on the Pro version is 12 GB. The software is the same and there is not any change: Android 12 customized by OxygenOS 12.1.

Camera

The camera setup of the OnePlus 10 Pro is actually more advanced than the one found on the 10T. It is composed of a 48 MP main camera with OIS and laser autofocus, an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50 MP ultrawide camera with a FOV of 150 degrees, all with the Hasselblad Camera for Mobile features such as realistic color calibration and XPan mode. The cameras of the OnePlus 10T are not co-engineered with Hasselblad and, while the main sensor is a more interesting 50 MP Sony IMX766 camera, the secondary sensor are way inferior with their 8 + 2 MP resoultion. The OnePlus 10T loses even when it comes to the selfie camera, with a 16 MP snapper instead of a 32 MP one.

Battery

The OnePlus 10 Pro provides a longer battery life thanks to its bigger 5000 mAh battery, but the 10T charges faster thanks to 150W fast charging. However, the 10T lacks the 50W wireless charging technology found on the Pro variant.

Price

The OnePlus 10T is priced at €720/$720 in its base variant (prices vary depending on the market, while the OnePlus 10 Pro can currently be found at about €800/$800 thanks to online street prices. Now you know the differences: which one would you pick?

OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro: PRO and CONS

OnePlus 10T

  • Better chipset
  • More affordable
  • Faster charging
  • Up to 16 GB of RAM

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Roundup – design, pricing, specs & more

Samsung is gearing up for the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for August 10. The company is expected to launch many new devices at this event, however, the show-stopper will undoubtedly be the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. So, let’s take a look at what we know so far about the upcoming foldable flagship.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 renders by 91mobiles

Design & display

Design-wise, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to look quite similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but with a slightly slimmer body compared to the previous generation. It is also said to have 6.1 x 5.1 x 0.27 inches (155 x 130 x 7.1 mm) dimensions, which would make it a little shorter but wider and thicker than its predecessor. Other than these differences, the smartphone will ditch the camera module design of the previous generation in favor of a design more akin to that of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

Coming to the display, leaks so far suggest that the smartphone will have 6.2 inches (exterior) and 7.6 inches (interior) display panels like the Galaxy Z Fold 3, however, it is said to have a 6:5 aspect ratio, which is more square compared to the 5:4 ratio found on the current gen foldable. The outer display is expected to have an HD+ AMOLED panel, while the inner display will likely offer a QXGA+ AMOLED panel. Both displays are expected to carry support for a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Specs

Under the hood, the smartphone will house Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen Plus SoC which is built on TSMC’s industry-leading 4nm node and boasts up to 30% battery efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. The chipset will come paired with either 12GB or 16GB RAM and will be available in 256GB and 512GB storage options.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

The device is said to have a 4,400mAh capacity battery with 25W fast charging. On the software front, the foldable will get an Android 12-based UI packed with features like an easy split screen and bottom-mounted taskbar which are features introduced with Android 12L.

Cameras

Rumors surrounding the cameras suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom support.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

The device is said to have a 10-megapixel front-facing camera on the outer display, however, the under-display camera on the foldable’s inner panel has leakers divided. Some suggest that the company will offer an improved 16-megapixel under-display camera on the device, while others state that it’ll be the same 4-megapixel sensor featured on the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Pricing

So far, reliable tipsters like Ross Young have stated that there is a chance of a price cut with the upcoming foldable from Samsung including the Galaxy Z Fold 4. This would be quite the welcome news considering the fact that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 debuted with a starting price of $1,799.

However, recent leaks from European retailers suggest that the device will be getting a price hike rather than a price cut, starting at €1,799 for the 256GB storage model, while the 512GB model is said to cost €1919. We would suggest our readers take these pricing leaks with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for the official reveal scheduled for August 10.

Best Wireless Mouse 2022 – Logitech, Razer & More

Getting the right mouse can boost your productivity to a considerable extent. And a mouse isn’t just an ideal companion for your desktop, as it can be a great addition to your laptop too. After all, having a mouse will provide a lot of relief to your fingers. These days, you can get a mouse for as cheap as $10 and it go up to even $100. But if you are confused as to which mouse to get for your PC, laptop, or even your tablet, we are here to help.

g305 logitech lightspeed

In this article about the best wireless mouse of 2022, we mention the best mice from Logitech, Razer, and even Microsoft, so you’ll have at least one option which suits your budget and your need.

Note that if you wish to use the mouse on multiple devices, it might be a good idea to pay a little extra and get a mouse with Bluetooth support that can connect to your laptop, desktop, or even your tablet. But if you are going to stick to using the mouse on a single device, you have a bunch of cheaper options that feature a USB dongle for connection.

So, let’s take a look at the Best Wireless Mouse of 2022.

Logitech MX Master 3S – Best Overall

Logitech MX Master 3S

The Logitech MX Master 3S is one of the best mice that you can buy on the market right now. It comes with a very comfortable grip, plenty of customizable buttons, and multiple connectivity options like Bluetooth LE and Logi Bolt USB receiver, offering you an excellent user experience.

The Master 3, its predecessor, was already a fantastic mouse for your daily needs, but the new model brings higher sensitivity and quieter clicks, enhancing your experience further. There are multiple side buttons and scroll wheels that you can customize for different applications like Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Microsoft Office suite, etc., offering a truly customized user experience.

We agree that this mouse is on the expensive side, but if you have $100 to spare, it won’t disappoint you. Note that if you are left-handed, you will have to look for something else, as this Master 3S series model is specifically designed for the right-handed consumer segment.

WHERE TO BUY
Buy Logitech MX Master 3S @ AmazonIn or @AmazonGlobal

Logitech MX Vertical – Best Ergo Mouse

MX_VERTICAL Logitech

Ergonomic mice are gaining popularity these days, given the long hours we spend scrolling and clicking on our large screens. These mice are specifically designed to give a comfortable grip to your palm with the least amount of stress to your fingers and thumb. The resulting design might look very weird and will take some getting used to, however, in the long term, such an ergo mouse would minimize the damage to your hand, especially if you use a PC for a long period of time.

The Logitech MX Vertical is one of the best in this niche segment, offering a unique vertical shape that provides great comfort to your arm, wrist, and fingers. It comes with features that are similar to any other high-end Logitech mouse, so you do get customizable buttons and scroll wheels.

Like the Logitech MX Master 3S, the MX vertical also supports Bluetooth LE and USB dongle receiver and can switch between 3 wireless connections, using a dedicated quick swap button at the bottom.

You should get around four months on a single charge, which is pretty good for a high-end mouse. The Logitech MX Vertical retails for around the same price as the Master 3S series, but you’ll often find it at good discounts under $100.

WHERE TO BUY
Buy Logitech MX Vertical @ Amazon or @Aliexpress or AmazonIn or @Walmart

If you are looking for something more casual, with a relatively ergonomic design, Logitech has another ergo mouse in their lineup, the Logitech Lift Vertical, which retails at a cheaper price than the MX Vertical model.

Logitech G305 Lightspeed – Best for Budget Gamers

g305 logitech lightspeed

An ergonomic mouse is good for your day-to-day productivity tasks, but when it comes to gaming, you need something a lot faster and more accurate. Meet Logitech’s G305 Lightspeed gaming mouse, which comes with a rated sensitivity of 12,000 CPI, all thanks to Logitech’s proprietary Hero sensor. The Hero sensor can hit a max velocity of over 400 inches per second with up to 40G of acceleration.

While the G305 Lightspeed is marketed as a gaming mouse, it lacks RGB lighting. However, to make that up, the brand offers the mouse in multiple color options, often unseen in the gaming mouse market. It offers a comfortable experience even during long hours of gaming sessions, and also features the nifty G-Shift button found on Logitech’s other gaming mice.

The G305 also comes with an extender for its 2.4GHz USB Type-A dongle, ensuring lag-free connectivity, and is rated for up to 250 hours of gaming.

WHERE TO BUY
Buy Logitech G305 LightSpeed Gaming Mouse @ Amazon or @Aliexpress or AmazonIn or @Walmart

Razer Viper V2 Pro – Best for Hardcore Gamers

Razer Viper V2 Pro

While the Logitech G305 Lightspeed is good for gamers who are on a budget, the Razer Viper V2 Pro, the latest addition to Razer’s premium gaming mouse lineup, goes all out when it comes to the gaming experience.

It’s ideal for hardcore gamers and comes in a lightweight form factor. The mouse features Razer’s excellent Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor which offers extremely accurate tracking, while its 2.4GHz dongle ensures a zero-lag gaming experience. There’s a reason why gamers prefer Razer’s hardware, and it’s because of its impeccable performance. The same continues with the new generation Razer Viper V2 Pro. You’ll get somewhere around 80 hours on a single charge, which is decent for a performance-oriented gaming mouse.

This extreme gaming performance does come at a staggering price – the Viper V2 Pro is priced at $149.99, but if you have the money to spare and are a competitive gamer, the Viper V2 Pro will eventually justify its price tag.

WHERE TO BUY
Buy Razer Viper V2 Pro @ Amazon or @Aliexpress or AmazonIn or @Walmart

Razer Pro Click Mini – Best Portable Mouse

razer pro click mini

Not all Razer mice are ridiculously priced. For example, one of the best portable and compact mice on the market right now, the Razer Pro Click Mini comes for under $60. For this price, Razer offers a comfortable design, seven programmable buttons with two scrolling modes, both Bluetooth and Wireless 2.4Ghz connections, and pairing with up to four devices at a time.

Its optical sensor has a maximum resolution of 12,000dpi and offers excellent precision and accuracy. Clearly, looking at the compact design, you would realize that this is a mouse ideal for your laptop. Plus, you get a pretty long battery life, up to 465 hours with a 2.4GHz link or 725 hours with Bluetooth.

WHERE TO BUY
Buy Razer Viper V2 Pro @ Amazon or @Walmart

Logitech M720 Triathlon – Best for Multi-device Setup

m720-logitech

The Logitech M720 Triathlon is good for users who want an affordable mouse with multiple programmable buttons. In addition to offering good precision and accuracy while scrolling between multiple monitors, the M720 Triathlon brings up to 8 buttons. The mouse is targeted at users handling a multi-device setup, as it includes a dedicated toggle-and-connect button that can switch between three connected devices at a time.

The M720 Triathlon comes with Logitech’s Advanced Optical Tracking sensor, boasting a resolution of up to 1000 dpi. It can also be connected via Bluetooth, which isn’t surprising given its multi-device support, however, note that it does not support iOS devices.

That said, for under $40, the M720 brings a comfortable design and built quality, with precision tracking, and multiple programmable buttons, making it easy to recommend it for consumers who are on a budget.

OnePlus Nord Watch color options, specifications leaked online; could launch soon

OnePlus entered the smartwatch segment with the OnePlus Watch, which was launched back in 2021. The watch was good but not earth-shattering. Now, rumors are rife that the company is working on another smartwatch that will be called the OnePlus Nord Watch. Details about the watch are still short.  However, a noted tipster is here with information about the OnePlus Nord Watch’s color options and features.

Popular tipster Mukul Sharma hinted in a recent tweet the upcoming OnePlus Nord Watch will come in at least two color options- Black and White. The tipster claimed that the possibility of more finishes cannot be zeroed. Sharma further added that the Nord Watch will carry fitness-centric features on a budget and will also feature a solid battery.

Recently, the smartwatch’s design got revealed via health app. As per the app screenshots, the Nord Watch will have a rectangular dial instead of the circular one used on the OnePlus Watch. The watch appears to have a metal frame with rounded corners. It is also seen to have a crown button on the side.

The Nord Watch is rumored to feature all the monitoring features like a SpO2 sensor, heart rate monitoring, and sleep tracking. Like all the Nord branded products, the watch is also said to come with an affordable price tag and a decent feature set. The watch is rumored to be priced between 5,000 INR and 8,000 INR.

In addition, the smartwatch is also expected to launch in India soon as it has already been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database. The launch date and other details about the smartwatch are yet to be revealed. OnePlus is still mum about the existence of the watch, however, we expect to learn more about it in the coming days.

OnePlus 10T First sale in India Starts Today: Price, Specifications, Offers

OnePlus 10T is all set to go on sale in India today. The new OnePlus smartphone was launched in the country earlier this week. It comes packed with a powerful chipset, immersive display, and a decent camera setup. The smartphone is probably the best choice under Rs. 50,000 but it’s also the most “generic” OnePlus flagship ever. It neither has the company’s iconic alert slider, nor the Hasselblad tuned cameras or wireless charging. Let’s take a look at its specifications, pricing, and other details.

OnePlus 10T Specifications

OnePlus 10T flaunts a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 10-bit color depth. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and also houses an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone draws power from Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 Soc paired with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

OnePlus 10T 5G

For photography, the OnePlus 10T features the tried and tested 50-megapixel Sony IMX769 primary camera sensor which is also found on the Nothing Phone (1), Asus Zenfone 9, and a slew of other phones. The main sensor is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, the device gets a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. The handset is backed by a decent 4,800mAh battery that supports 150W fast charging because why not?

On the software front, the OnePlus 10T runs Android 12-based OxygenOS 12. The OS is basically ColorOS 12 with a few (unnecessary) tweaks.

OnePlus 10T Price in India, Availability

OnePlus 10T price in India is set at Rs. Rs 49,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The phone also comes in a 12GB + 256GB model at Rs. Rs 54,999 and the 16GB + 256GB option at Rs 55,999. It comes in Jade Green and Moonstone Black finishes.

OnePlus 10T vs iQOO 9T: Specs Comparison

OnePlus already released a top-tier flagship phone in the first half of this year: the OnePlus 10 Pro. That is why, for the second half of the year, it decided to opt for a flagship killer: the OnePlus 10T. Meanwhile, another device identified by the letter T went official, and it is a flagship killer just like the OnePlus one. We are talking about the iQOO 9T. Both of these devices are amazing phones for gamers and for all of those people who seek awesome performance with a pretty low budget if compared to the most expensive phones in the market. That is exactly the reason why we decided to publish this comparison between the specifications of the OnePlus 10T and the iQOO 9T. This will surely be a very interesting comparison for gamers and power users out there.

Design

The design of the iQOO 9T is more original than the one of the OnePlus 10T, even though it is a bigger phone in terms of overall dimensions. Its rear side is made of two different textures and it is also bi-color. Further, it is made with premium materials: aluminum for the frame and glass for the rear side, with a front glass protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Last but not least, it has the IP52 certification protecting the body against dust and water. The OnePlus 10T comes with a glass back, a front glass protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and a plastic frame. It does not have any certification against dust and water, but it is a more compact phone thanks to the presence of a smaller display. Its design is reminiscent of the one of the OnePlus 10 Pro, with a big camera module and a 2×2 matrix of sensors.

Display

The display of the iQOO 9T is slightly wider with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, but these two panels have the same specifications. They come with the AMOLED technology guaranteeing brilliant colors and deep blacks, as well as a Full HD+ resolution of 1080p. They have a 120 Hz max refresh rate and the HDR10+ certification, as well as a very high peak brightness and an in-display fingerprint reader. The iQOO 9T adds an important technology for gaming: the Monster Touch, allowing the touch screen to be pressure sensitive. This is important in the most competitive games as it allows for more commands in a single screen area, without the need for air triggers or physical triggers outside the display. Both these phones are equipped with stereo speakers providing a great audio experience, but they lack a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Specs & Software

The chipset powering the OnePlus 10T and the iQOO 9T is exactly the same: the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, currently the most powerful chipset released by Qualcomm to date. It is built with a 4 nm production process and it has an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at a max frequency of 2.75 GHz, four Cortex A510 CPUs running at a max frequency of 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 730 GPU. What makes the difference is the memory configuration, better on the OnePlus 10T which provides up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of native UFS 3.1 storage, while the iQOO 9T stops at 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of native storage. Both the handsets come with a very advanced cooling system and Android 12 out of the box, as well as highly customized user interfaces on top.

If you are searching for the most advanced camera phone, you should opt for the iQOO 9T without thinking twice. It is equipped with a triple camera setup including a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor supporting OIS, a 12 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 13 MP ultrawide camera with a FOV of 120 degrees. The OnePlus 10T has exactly the same main camera (and even the same 16 MP selfie shooter), but the secondary sensors are inferior: an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a useless 2 MP macro lens.

Battery

The OnePlus 10T has a slightly bigger battery with a capacity of 4800 mAh and it should last a bit more on a single charge, due to similar hardware components. It also features a faster charging technology, with a power of 150W. The iQOO 9T has a smaller 4700 mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

Price

The iQOO 9T carries a $630 or Rs. 49,999 starting price in the Indian market, and you need at least $630 or Rs. 49,999 even to purchase the OnePlus 10T in India (for the base configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage). The iQOO 9T looks a bit more interesting because of its premium design, Monster Touch, and better cameras, but the OnePlus 10T has more RAM, a bigger battery, and faster charging.

Which one would you pick?
