Vivo will be unveiling the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro smartphones on May 18 in India. Both phones have already been launched in China and global markets. New reports by MySmartPriceand Pricebabahave revealed the configurations, color options, and pricing of the X80 series for India.
Vivo X80 series configurations, color options
The new leaks reveal that the Vivo X80 will be arriving in two variants, such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It will come in Cosmic Black and Urban colors.
Vivo X80
On the other hand, the Vivo X80 Pro will come in a single trim with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. It will come in one color only: black. It appears that India will not be receiving the orange edition of the X80 and X80 Pro that are available in China.
There is no information on the pricing of the Vivo X80 Pro. However, the X80 is expected to carry a retail box price of Rs 56,990 (~$736). This means that the smartphone may have a much lower selling price.
Vivo X80 Pro
In China, the Vivo X80 Pro is available in two chipset variants, such as Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000. It appears that India will only receive the SD8G1 edition of the Pro model. The vanilla X80 is expected to arrive as India’s first phone powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset. The rest of the specs of the X80 series for India could be identical to the Chinese variants. However, instead of the OriginOS UI available on the Chinese models, the Indian variants will offer the FunTouch OS 12 experience. Like the predecessor models, the X80 lineup heading to India will offer a stellar photography experience.

The latest entry-level phones from mainstream Chinese brands are very interesting devices. Some of them come with an attractive design, each of them sports a huge battery, and most of them is even providing good performance thanks to the latest entry-level chipset by MediaTek and Unisoc. This is a comparison between the specifications of three devices which we consider among the greatest entry-level phones in the current period. We are talking about the Motorola Moto E32, the Redmi 10A by Xiaomi’s sub-brand, and the Realme C31.

Design
The design of the Motorola Moto E32 is too good to be a design of an entry-level phone. First of all, it comes with a punch-hole display instead of an ugly waterdrop notch. The rear side looks clean and elegant with that small camera module sporting the same color as the rest of the rear side. Further, the smartphone is water-repellent, which will be great for those who want to use their phone in the rain. Another device with a stunning rear side is definitely the Realme C31, reminiscent of Realme’s flagships such as the GT 2. The Redmi 10A is not so beautiful with that huge camera isle and thick bezels around the display including a waterdrop notch.
Display
The image quality provided by the displays of these phones is more or less the same. They are three IPS LCD panels with diagonals around 6.5 inches and an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Nothing special, but they are sufficient for most of the people out there. The phone which wins the comparison is the Motorola Moto E32 because it is the only one with an above-average refresh rate: it goes up to 90 Hz for a smoother viewing experience. This device and the Realme C31 come with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, while the Redmi 10A has a rear-mounted biometric sensor.
Hardware/Software
The most convincing hardware department belongs to the Xiaomi Redmi 10A. It is fueled by the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset which provides higher CPU and GPU performance than the Unisoc chipsets found in its two rivals. Further, it offers up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage, way more than the highest-end memory configuration of the Redmi 10A and the Realme C31 stopping at 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. The silver medal goes to the Realme C31 sporting a Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset, up to 4 GB of RAM, and up to 64 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. All of these phones run Android 11 out of the box.
Camera
The best cameras belong to the Motorola Moto E32. First of all, it has a better 16 MP main camera. Further, it comes with two secondary sensors with 2 MP resolutions for macros and depth calculation, as well as a better 8 MP selfie camera. The Redmi 10A has just one single 13 MP shooter, while the Realme C31 has a 13 MP camera, a 2 MP macro lens, and a useless 0.3 MP depth sensor.
Battery
The batteries have exactly the same capacity: 5000 mAh. These phones should provide almost the same battery life because the components have more or less the same efficiency. But the Motorola Moto E32 is the only one with fast charging support.
Motorola Moto E32 vs Xiaomi Redmi 10A vs Realme C31: Price
You need at least €150/$160 for the Motorola Moto E32 and the Realme C31, while the Redmi 10A starts from €100/$105. The Motorola Moto E32 wins the comparison thanks to a higher refresh rate, better cameras, and fast charging, but you should consider that it is the worst one in terms of performance. The best hardware is provided by the Redmi 10A but all the other specifications are inferior, while the Realme C31 sits right in the middle between its two rivals.

Xiaomi India has leveled an allegation of threats of physical violence by the agency investigating its royalty payments in the country. The company alleged that its top executives were threatened with physical violence during an investigation by India’s financial crimes watchdog. Xiaomi is also alleging that the agency employed coercion in its quest to unjustly nail the company. These claims were from a court filing by the company.
The exclusive details about Xiaomi’s accusations against India’s Enforcement Directorate were first reported by Reuters. The court documents stated that both the former India managing director and the current Chief Financial Officer were warned of dire consequences during questioning. The financial watchdog stated that Xiaomi’s claims were untrue and baseless. It further stated that the company executives had deposed voluntarily in a very conducive environment.
The court filing by Xiaomi was dated May 4 and is the latest twist in the matter relating to royalty payments by the company in India. The agency says Xiaomi remitted about $725 million in dubious royalty payments abroad. Xiaomi continues to deny any wrongdoing, saying that its royalty payments were legitimate and truthful. It feels it was unfairly targeted in the investigation. Already, the court had put on hold, the freezing action on Xiaomi’s bank accounts by the financial watchdog. The next hearing has been fixed for May 12.

Even though the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 have not been announced yet, both devices seem to be garnering attention across the tech world for the past week because both devices have appeared on several national consumer electronics safety certification platforms across a few key international markets as of late.
As the conversation for both Samsung’s next generation of foldables continues to flare up, famous smartphone industry insider and leakster, Ice Universe, has taken to Twitter today to share some key specifications about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3
In his tweets today, Ice Universe reveals that the Z Flip 4 will be sporting a more generous 3,700mAh battery, which is 12 per cent larger than the 3,300mAh battery found on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. Coupled in with the latest news that the Z Flip 4 is confirmed to feature 25W charging over the 15W found on last year’s Z Flip 3, it seems that Samsung has created the 2022 Galaxy Z Flip 4 to solve the battery endurance complaints of its current-generation Z Flip users.

On the other hand, the bad news here is that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will retain the same 4,400mAh battery as last year’s Z Fold 3. Although battery performance on the Z Fold 3 was not bad per se, it was not great either. Foldables fans will be disappointed to hear that the Z Fold 4 this year will also only sport 25W fast charging instead of the 45W charging that Samsung had introduced on its Galaxy S22 Plus and S22 Ultra devices this year.
However, there was good news about the Z Fold 4 revealed today. Ice Universe has also shared the display aspect ratios for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 on Twitter. He shares that the Fold 4’s external cover display has an aspect ratio is 23:9, and the inner folding display has an aspect ratio of 6:5. For context, the Z Fold 3, has a 24.5:9 external cover display and a 5:4 inner folding display.

If those aspect ratios sound confusing to you, then here’s the TLDR after all the math is done. Assuming the height of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will remain the same as the Z Fold 3, the Z Fold 4 will be featuring a 6.5% wider cover display, and a 4.17% wider inner folding display. This design means that the Z Fold 4 will be having an overall broader body, with more screen real estate, and the inner folding screen will now resemble more of a 1:1 square than that of a rectangle.

The squarish design change for the Z Fold 4 sounds rather off-putting at first, but if Samsung can manage the proportions and ergonomics of its foldables just right, the design change may be a welcome one for the future foldable smartphone users worldwide.
Samsung launched the Galaxy F41 in India in October 2020 with Android 10 (One UI 2.x). The smartphone was updated to Android 11 (One UI 3.x) in January 2021. More than a year from that, the handset has now started receiving the Android 12 (One UI 4.1) update.
According to SamMobile, Samsung has begun to roll out One UI 4.1 update based on Android 12 for the Galaxy F41 in India. The latest software update for the phone arrives with March 2022 security patches carrying firmware version F415FXXU1CVD1.
Like any other OTA system update, this one is also being pushed in batches. Therefore, it will take some time to reach every unit. Some users may get access to the update earlier, while others may have to wait.
Additionally, the Galaxy F41 is also known as Galaxy M21s in Brazil. Hence, that device should also receive the Android 12 update soon.
Having said that, since the phone has received two Android updates since its release, it will no longer get any more OS updates. However, it will be receiving security updates for a while.
The Galaxy F41 was one of the best Samsung budget smartphones of its time. It offers features like a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, Exynos 9611 SoC, 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage, 64MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 5MP (depth) triple camera setup, 32MP selfie camera, 6,000mAh battery, and 15W charging.
