The new version is a lot cheaper than the previous Amazfit GTS 2 Mini smartwatch which retails for Rs 6,999. The new version of the smart wearable comes in three new colors, namely Midnight Black, Flamingo Pink, and Sage Green. The original GTS 2 Mini also offers three color options being Meteor Black, Flamingo Pink, and Breeze Blue.

Also, the entire Play 6T series is equipped with exclusive self-developed cache compression technology, which enables the expanded 2GB to achieve 3 times expansion, making 2GB equivalent to achieving a 6GB expansion effect. For photography, the Play 6T Pro is equipped with a 48MP AI main camera which uses a 1/2-inch outsole and has a single pixel size of 0.8um. The four-in-one pixel is equivalent to 1.6um. Thus, it delivers images with vivid clarity and good background detail under low light conditions.

The Best Realme GT 2 Pro Alternatives in India

Earlier today, Chinese consumer tech brand Realme finally launched the Realme GT 2 Pro in India. The latest handset from the company is its first proper flagship smartphone. The device offers almost all the bells and whistles that are found on a premium phone. However, not everyone may like this handset. Hence, in this article, we have listed the best alternatives to the Realme GT 2 Pro in India.

Realme GT 2 Pro
Realme GT 2 Pro

The Realme GT 2 Pro is priced aggressively in India. It ties with the Motorola Edge 30 Pro as the most-affordable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphone in the country.

The device costs ₹49,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB variant and ₹57,999 for the higher 12GB + 256GB model. These price tags come down to ₹44,999 and ₹52,999 respectively via HDFC Bank and SBI card transactions. You can learn more about the offers here.

One of the main highlights of the smartphone is the material used for its back. The handset’s rear panel is made of biopolymer, which gives it a paper-like feel and texture. Customers can also opt for a regular glass back version. Visit this link to learn about the phone’s design.

The device will hit the shelves on April 14. If you can’t wait that long or looking for alternatives, we have got you covered.

As of writing this post, the Realme GT2 Pro does not have fierce competition in India. Despite that, we have 5 alternatives. Out of which, only two of them cost the same or more than the Realme flagship smartphone.

Let’s have a look at the competitors one by one. But before that, here’s a quick rundown of Realme GT 2 Pro’s specifications.

realme Q5 series tipped to feature flagship-grade 80W fast charging

Digital Chat Station broke the news that the realme Q5 series will support 80W fast charging, which has the ability to fill a 5,000mAh to 100% in just 30 minutes.

The realme Q5 series is supposed to be a budget-friendly offering, so flagship-level 80W charging is surprising. 80W fast charging is a fairly new standard and is associated with flagship-level devices since it’s seen on the likes of the OPPO Find X5 series and the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Redmi Note 12 series given the green light by Xiaomi, model numbers emerge

New Xiaomi phones with model numbers 22041216UC and 22041216C were given the green flag recently by the company, and the duo is expected to be a part of none other than the Redmi Note 12 series.

The certification doesn’t reveal any useful information about the two devices aside from showing that both will support 5G. 5G will be enabled by high-performance MediaTek Dimensity series chips, tipster Digital Chat Station had tipped earlier. While flagship offerings from the chipmaker seem to be a stretch since the Redmi Note 12 series will be mid-range, the Dimensity 1300 or Dimensity 8000/8100 look within reach for the lineup.

Aside from this, barely anything’s known about the Redmi Note 12 series currently, but we should be seeing more info leak ahead of their launch, slated to be in the second quarter of this year.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ supported 120W fast charging while the Redmi Note 11 Pro supported 67W, so we should be seeing similar speeds with the Redmi Note 12 series as well.

Last year, Lu Weibing, general manager of Redmi brand, has started a new iteration strategy where two generations will be launched each year, mainly to satisfy the increasingly diversifying needs of users. He added that the series will be focusing on performance.

Realme GT2 Pro has an eco-friendly design and an interesting color palette

Realme has officially refreshed its GT series in the Indian market with the release of the Realme GT2 Pro. The smartphone comes with revamped design and has an interesting color palette.

The Realme GT2 Pro has three color variants – Paper White, Paper Green, and Steel Black. The smartphone adopts the new design language as opposed to the predecessor and has an eco-friendly textured back.

Realme GT2 Pro
Realme GT2 Pro

The back of the smartphone is made with the use of biopolymer material. It is claimed to be the world’s first smartphone to use this material. It replicates a paper-like look making the phone’s in-hand grip better.

As per Realme, they tested hundreds of combinations and finally carved 5612 textures based on biomaterials for the smartphone. Lastly, the design was finalized in collaboration with Realme Design Studio and the Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa.

One interesting thing about the back design is that you can use a pencil to sketch on the phone’s back. Since it is a paper-like design, you also use an eraser to rub off the sketch. Considering the eco-friendly design and the TCO 9.0 certification, Realme plans to use this material in its future GT-series phones. Realme GT2 ProOne thing to note is that the Steel Black doesn’t have this paper-like finish. The Steel Black GT2 Pro is made out of AG glass material that is claimed to offer a tactile metallic feel without the weight of metal. Something different from the other two colors, and it is made for those who want a metal-like feel to their device.

Other than the back design, the phone replaces the boring triple camera array from its predecessor, where the sensors are placed vertically one by one, with a new layout where the two lenses are placed one after another and the third lens offset.

Realme GT2 Pro

This camera positioning is similar to what we see on some new phones. For instance, the Realme 9 Pro+ has a similar camera positioning. Even the newly launched OnePlus Nord CE 2 (Review) has such a type of setup with tweaked camera positioning. On the front, the phone has a regular punch-hole display with thin bezels. Nothing fancy for the front.
