The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is easily one of the most-awaited devices of late. The flagship series from Samsung that is expected to go live sometime early in 2022, is being leaked on a spree by the likes of Ice Universe. And now, the same leakster has revealed that the most economical S22 device – Samsung Galaxy S22 – will feature a 3700 mAh battery.
The S22 battery has only 3700mAh. Yes, it's true. But S22 is Samsung's smallest flagship phone in recent years. Its length, width and thickness are a little smaller than iPhone 13. I like such a small phone and I will definitely buy it. pic.twitter.com/BGADgJ2POO
The battery size is tiny by today’s standards, especially considering that processors that power flagship phones are known to be real fuel-guzzlers. However, the size makes perfect sense considering that the phone will be quite compact, even more pocket-friendly than the recently announced iPhone 13, in fact.
The size difference is across all dimensions. Ice Universe says that the S22 will be smaller in length, width, as well as thickness than the iPhone 13 which already measures 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.7 mm.
This effectively makes the S22 one of the most compact Android flagships in recent times. The last time Samsung pulled off something similar was with the S10e that had a screen size of 5.8-inches. The S22 will be sized a tad larger though with a diagonal of 6.06 inches.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra concept render
Lastly, the compact upcoming Samsung flagship will feature a charging speed of 25W. This is slower than the 45W (10V 4.5A) charging speeds supported by its larger siblings – the S22+ and S22 Ultra.
Other known stuff about the Samsung Galaxy S22 includes it and the S22+ skipping on Samsung’s GN1 and GN2 camera sensors and instead opting for the recently launched ISOCELL GN5 camera sensor. Further, the S22 lineup may feature that Snapdragon 898 processor in India. The devices will not come with under-display cameras and will stick with punch-hole ones. They are expected to into mass production next month and will likely be available for purchase from January 2022.
Google TV, the smart TV platform from the search engine giant which is based on the Android operating system and is powering devices like Chromecast as Smart TVs, could soon get support for free TV channels.
As per the report coming from Protocol, Google is in talks with free and ad-supported streaming television providers about the possibility of adding those channels to its smart TV platform. It will have a similar feel to the traditional TV with commercial breaks.
Google TV
It is being speculated that the free streaming channels could get launched on Google TV in the coming weeks or months, but the company may wait to announce the initiative with its Smart TV partners sometime early next year.
As for the usage, it’s likely that the users will be getting a dedicated live TV menu to browse through the channels. On smart TVs, the streaming channels are expected to be presented alongside over-the-air programming that can be accessed with an antenna.
What Google is trying to do isn’t something new. Smart TV platform Roku has already launched a similar platform that boasts around 10,000 TV episodes and films. It also has more than 200 free channels. Even TV makers like Samsung and LG have also integrated free streaming channels on their platforms.
Google first forayed into the free TV streaming category when it unveiled the Android TV platform in 2014. It had a live channels framework for aggregating live programming from streaming apps and over-the-air broadcasters, but it never gained much traction.
After announcing the new iPhone 13 series smartphones a couple of days back, technology giant Apple has now started taking pre-orders for all four models in the lineup. On the same day that they opened pre-orders, the delivery time for the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro has already been pushed to October.
Those who are pre-ordering the smartphone will be able to get their hands on the latest iPhone models on 24th September. However, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have slipped back in delivery estimates.
On Apple‘s official website, if you try to pre-book the iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max, the delivery estimate for it lies between October 18 and October 25 which indicates a delay of almost a month than what the company announced at the time of launch.
The issue of delayed deliveries isn’t limited to the United States. Customers in the United Kingdom are also facing the same with the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max and even with the standard iPhone 13 model, with deliveries estimated to begin in October.
All four models come powered by the company’s latest Apple A15 Bionic chipset. The Pro models feature a 120Hz Super Retina XDR ProMotion display protected by a sheet of Ceramic Shield. It also comes with upgraded camera configuration and features.
The Apple iPhone 13 series smartphones come in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options while the Pro models also get a 1TB storage option for the first time. While the pricing starts at $699, the top-end variant costs $1,599. The Pro models also come in four color options — Sierra Blue, Silver, Gold, and Graphite.
When it comes to knowing the detailed specifications of Apple products, there is not much that we get out of Apple. The company, in its launches, only reveals relevant information without mentioning the exact details. For example, it’s hard to make out how big of a battery is packed in iPhones, and all we get to know is that there will be enough juice to get an 8-hour SOT. Well, that’s how Apple has been, and we don’t expect them to get into details either. But an internal datasheet has recently surfaced online that takes us through some crucial information about Watch Series 7 that Apple probably won’t tell you.
There’s a clear mention of specs of the latest Apple smartwatch along with older Series 6, Series 3, and SE watches. The most prominent bit is the weight of the Watch Series 7 models. The 41mm dial model weighs just 32 grams with the Aluminum casing, the weight increases significantly for the Stainless Steel model and is at 42.3 grams whereas the Titanium build is again on the lower side with just 37 grams. As for the larger 45mm models, 38.8 grams (Aluminum), 51.5 grams (Stainless Steel), and 45.1 grams (Titanium) respectively.
While there’s absolutely no change in the internal storage that stays the same 32GB as it was on the previous two generations of watches, the chipset sees a significant increment with the new S7 System-in-Package (SiP). This processor is claimed to be 20% faster than the S5 SiP on last year’s Apple Watch SE.
Lenovo Xiaoxin series laptops are going to see an upgrade later this month, starting with Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 14 2021. The company has confirmed that the launch is set to take place on September 28 that will upgrade this machine’s performance. It has also been confirmed that the device will house the Intel i5-11320H processor and the GPU will be upscaled from the existing Iris Xe Graphics G7 80EU to 96EU, which turns out to be a 24% boost in terms of performance.
The older version of Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 14 featured an i5-11300H processor with 4-core 8 threads, a maximum Turbo frequency of 4.4GHz, and Graphics Max Dynamic Frequency of 1.30 GHz.
The upgraded Core i5-11320H processor comes with some upgrades that set the maximum Turbo frequency to 4.5GHz, along with a Graphics Max Dynamic Frequency of 1.35GHz thereby increasing the device’s performance capabilities.
Not just performance, Lenovo also takes the viewing experience on Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 14 2021 to an all-new level with a 14-inch 2.8k 16:10 screen, 400nit high brightness, a resolution of 2880×1800, on top of which is a refresh rate of 90Hz, and DC dimming. The screen also gets a TÜV Rheinland protection certificate, low Blu-ray Certification, and supports Dolby Vision. Overall, it will be a delight to use a laptop with such a quality display.
Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 14 2021 will be available in two variants, one with an Intel processor and another one with an AMD Ryzen processor. More details to follow on September 28.
Razer has launched the Huntsman V2 wired gaming keyboard and it offers some innovative features when compared with traditional gaming keyboards. The optical switches use an infra-red beam to activate the switch, unlike a traditional gaming keyboard. This also improves the performance of the device as there is no debounce delay.
Of late, Razer has been on a cruise, with several products launched in quick succession. The new Razer Huntsman V2 gaming keyboard is an improvement of previous models together with the incorporation of the Razer linear optical switches. The optical switches provide faster actuation, higher polling rate (8KHz). The device also includes a silicon sound dampener to reduce the sound when a key bottom out. In addition, the switches and stabilizers are well lubricated to produce a seamless and smooth typing experience. Razer also claims that the new model, in line with previous reports, is capable of making 100 million keystrokes in its lifetime.
The new model the Razer Huntsman V2 is a name that has been used previously by Razer. The existing Razer Huntsman V2 Analog is a keyboard where the keys can detect changes in the level of pressure. The implication of the faster polling rate is that the device’s response time to key commands is very fast. Both the red and purple color variants of the Razer Huntsman V2 keyboard, although the higher polling rate is felt more in the red version than the purple clicky switches. The Razer Huntsman V2 adds a multifunctional dial and four media keys. The device has an aluminum top plate and wrist rets to offer greater stability and comfort.
The Razer Huntsman V2 is now available at $189.99. There is an additional price for several other accessories like the optical red switches which are priced at $10.
After the initial launches in China and India, OPPO launched the Reno6 series in Europe as well. The European market got two variants of the lineup: the OPPO Reno6 5G and the Reno6 Pro 5G. The latter is not the same Reno6 Pro we saw in China, but it is a rebrand of the higher-end Reno6 Pro+ 5G as it features the same specifications. Is it worth spending more for the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G or the vanilla version is enough for your needs? This comparison between the specifications of the two handsets will help you to find out.

The vanilla Reno6 5G has a very original design: just like the last two generations of iPhones, it has a brick-like design with flat borders, and currently, there is not any phone from a mainstream brand in the Android world that features such a design. It is also a more compact phone than its Pro sibling, thanks to the presence of a smaller display. On the other hand, the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G features an amazing design as well: with a thickness of just 6.99 mm, it is one of the thinnest phones in the whole market. Further, it is lightweight and it has an elegantly curved screen at the sides. Both the devices are built with the suggestive OPPO Glow finish providing an opaque but shining back cover inspired to crystallization.
Display
The differences between the displays of these handsets are not big. Both the phones are equipped with AMOLED panels sporting a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G has a slightly bigger panel with a diagonal of 6.55 inches and the HDR10+ certification: the image quality provided by the Pro variant is slightly higher if compared to the vanilla version. The phones feature an in-display fingerprint reader for authentication and the Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display, as well as a single punch hole placed on the top left corner of the screen.
Specs & Software
The OPPO Reno6 5G is a good mid-ranger that can withstand most of the usage patterns from the average user. It is fueled by the Dimensity 900 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage in the European market. In terms of hardware, the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G is a flagship: it is powered by the Snapdragon 870 mobile platform supported by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 native storage. The Reno6 Pro 5G is perfect for all the power users, despite the Find X3 Pro provides even better hardware. The phones ship with Android 11 out of the box, customized by ColorOS 11.3, but they will be among the first to get the ColorOS 12 update.
Camera
The OPPO Reno6 5G is a good camera phone, but its camera department is nothing so special. It has a 64 MP triple camera on the rear side which includes an 8 MP ultrawide sensor and a 2 MP macro camera. The OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G is a high-end camera phone with the same main camera as the Find X3 Pro: the Sony IMX766 with a resolution of 50 MP and OIS. It also features a 13 MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, a 16 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro sensor. It is not among the best camera phones ever as it could have better secondary sensors, but it is great in every scenario.
Battery
The OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G houses a slightly bigger battery than the OPPO Reno6 5G: its capacity is 4500 mAh, while the vanilla version has just 4300 mAh. This said, both the devices are always able to provide a more sufficient battery life, but the Reno6 Pro 5G lasts more on a single charge. Both the phones support 65W fast charging.
Price
In the European market, the vanilla OPPO Reno6 5G carries a price tag of €499/$585 and it is only available in the 8/128 GB memory configuration. The OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G carries a price tag of €799/$937 and it only comes in the configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. For the initial period, there is a launch promotion that offers these devices in a bundle with a few official gadgets in several countries. The OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G is better in every aspect, but it is currently very expensive, so not suitable for everyone.
It is common to see phone users who use an Android smartphone and an iPhone at the same time. For such peeps, it is essential that they move around with two charging cables; a lightning and Type-C cable. Perhaps in the future when the proposed policy by the EU for Apple to switch to the USB-C port comes into effect this might not be need. But at present, the two cables are vital.
Chinese tech company Teclast took this challenge into consideration when it was designing its latest power bank. The power bank dubbed Teclast E10 Pro Fast Charging Power Bank is now official in China. The power bank is loaded with several features, including a powerful battery but what stands out the most is the dual built-in USB Type-C and lightning cables that it features. The cables are not very long so as not to become a challenge but are ideal for charging two devices at the same time while on the move.
The power bank supports up to 18W fast charging from the USB-C cable while the Lightning cable outputs a maximum power of 12W. It is also compatible with fast charging protocols such as QC3.0, PD3.0, and FCP.
The Type-C data cable supports bidirectional output and input at the same time, which means that you don’t need another cable to charge the device. It has a fast-charging rating of 18W and Teclast claims it can be fully charged in about 4.5 hours. It also features a dedicated input Type-C charging port as well as a 22.5W USB-A and 18W USB-C port for charging other devices.
In terms of appearance, the Teclast E10 Pro is similar to a mobile phone in volume. It has an overall thickness of just 17mm and weighs 260g. There is an LED display at the front of the power bank which shows the battery level of the charging brick in real-time.
The Teclast E10 Pro carries a retail price of 89 yuan (~$14) and is presently available in China via Jingdong (JD.com).

Earlier today, iQOO revealed the battery details of its upcoming iQOO Z5 smartphone. In the past, the company has also teased some other specs of the smartphone for the Chinese market. Now, a fresh piece of information suggests the phone’s Indian pricing and sheds light on its availability.
According to GSMArena, the iQOO Z5 will be priced under ₹30,000(~$410) in India. Unlike the predecessor iQOO Z3’s global launch, which took place months after its Chinese release, the iQOO Z5 will land in India immediately after the Chinese launch. The publication stated that the phone will launch by the end of September in India. In case you were unaware, the phone is scheduled to launch on September 23 in China.
Getting to the specifications of the smartphone, the iQOO Z5 will be a mid-range phone with a 120Hz punch-hole display. It will have support for HDR10 and a faster 240Hz touch sampling rate. The device is likely to feature a triple rear camera system with a 64MP primary sensor.
Under the hood, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The phone will house a 5,000mAh non-removable battery and may support 44W fast charging support. As per iQOO, the device will offer 96 hours of music listening, and up to 10.4 hours of gaming.
In related news, Xiaomi is also slated to launch a Snapdragon 778G smartphone in India dubbed Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G. Rumors have it that the phone may arrive for a starting price of ₹21,999(~$299). This is way less than what iQOO Z5 is expected to start at. Considering that both phones have the same chipset, we may see stiff competition in the market.
Last week, Vivo took wraps off the Vivo X70 Pro and X70 Pro+ smartphones in China. The latest series has some incremental upgrades in cameras and also brings refreshed internals with up to the Snapdragon 888+ SoC. Today, the phones went on sale in the Chinese market starting at CNY 4,299(~$665).
Recently, Vivo revealed that the X70 series achieved the highest number of pre-registrations in the CNY 4000+ segment. Out of the three phones in the series, the X70 Pro and X70 Pro+ are now on sale and can be purchased from all online and offline authorized channels in China. Here’s the pricing of the X70 phones in the country.
The Vivo X70 Pro comes in Nebula, White, and Black colors, whereas, the X70 Pro+ has Glass Black, Blue, and Orange colors.
Vivo X70 and X70 Pro+ Specifications
The Vivo X70 Pro has a 6.56-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution. It has a quad-camera system with a 50MP Sony IMX766V main lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 12MP portrait lens, and lastly an 8MP periscope sensor. Xiaomi recently launched the Mi 11 Lite 5G NE in the global market for a starting price of EUR369(~$433). The device offers a 90Hz punch-hole display and Snapdragon 778G for the asking price. Now, the smartphone is heading to the Indian market on September 29, and ahead of its arrival, the tipster Debayan Royhas tipped its variants and pricing details.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE will be called Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G in the Indian market, and it will come in three variants – 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. As per the tipster, the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost ₹21,999(~$299).
However, it is unlikely that the Mi 11 Lite NE 5G launches at this price. Since the global price of EUR369(~$433) is close to ₹31,000, we can expect the NE 5G model to launch under ₹30,000 in India. But it probably won’t be as low as the figure mentioned by the tipster.
Additionally, the tipster reveals that the phone will launch in four colors out of which one of them will be made available later, whereas, the other three colors will be for sale immediately after the launch. Although the tipster doesn’t mention the colors, we can still speculate that the Indian region will get the same four colors as the global model i.e. a Truffle Black, Peach Pink, Bubblegum Blue, and Snowflake White. The names might differ in the region.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G a.k.a the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE sports a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ display with an FHD+ resolution. It is an AMOLED panel with a 90Hz screen refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It has a 20-megapixel selfie camera and a triple camera system a the rear. It has a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel telemacro sensor.
At the helm, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It packs a 4,250mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging technology. It has a side-facing fingerprint scanner and it boots on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 OS.

Chinese tech brand realme has scheduled a launch event for September 24 in India. A few hours back, we reported that realme Band 2 and realme 4K Google TV stick will be unveiled at this conference, As per the teasers on the brand’s official website and social media, these two devices will be also accompanied by realme narzo 50 series and realme Smart TV Neo 32”.
realme narzo 50A
The realme narzo 50 series is in the news for the past few days. Yesterday, a report even tipped the lineup’s launch timeline. Now, we finally know that these devices will be announced on September 24.
The landing page on the realme website merely says realme narzo 50 series. It does not mention the name of the models that will be debuting next week. Going by previous reports, we can expect the company to announce realme narzo 50A and realme narzo 50i.
The realme narzo 50A is said to arrive with a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, 50MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) + 2MP (macro) triple camera setup, and a 6,000mAh battery. These specs are also mentioned on the teaser page. Unfortunately, not much information is available about the realme narzo 50i.
Further, apart from these phones, realme will be also unveiling a smart television called realme Smart TV Neo 32”. As the name suggests, this TV will come with a 32-inch panel.
According to the landing page, the television will pack 20W dual speakers with support for Dolby Audio. Also, its display will have TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light emission.
realme Smart TV Neo 32″
Interestingly, unlike other realme TVs, the upcoming model may not run Android TV. It could ship with some other software, however, the brand confirms that the television will have ‘YouTube 2021’ and other popular streaming platforms.
Apart from the above-mentioned details, we know nothing about the forthcoming realme narzo 50 series and realme Smart TV Neo 32”. But we expect to learn more about them, including the price ahead of the launch event.
Since entering the Indian smart TV market in 2018, Xiaomi has cemented its place in the market as the leading brand, edging out Samsung who had held sway for several years before the emergence of the Mi brand. Last year, Samsung made a push for more market share with the release of multiple models spread across different price segments. Apparently, the Korean giant’s effort is still not enough as the latest report by Counterpoint Research’s TV Tracker Service for the second quarter of 2021 shows that Xiaomi still controls India’s smart TV market.
The report shows that the smart TV market in India grew 65% YoY in Q2 2021. This is attributed to an increase in the demand for smart TVs. This has subsequently led to an increase in the number of smart TVs in their portfolios.
Xiaomi, with a 23% share leads the market and is closely followed by Samsung with a 17% market share. LG occupies the third position claiming an 11% share with Sony at the 4th spot having cornered a 9% market share. The top-five is completed by OnePlus which raked in a 7% market share, recording a 20% QoQ growth.
The report also shows that the non-smart TV market grew 46% YoY in Q2 2021 but the growth is being hampered by the smart TV segment, taking an 80% share of the overall TV market during the quarter.
Despite failing to control the smart Tv market, Samsung leads the overall TV market propelled by the entry-level T4000 series which emerged as the main volume driver in Q2 2021. In addition, the 2021 version of the Crystal series influenced the brand’s market presence. Further, Samsung’s QLED TV business saw a 400% YoY growth in the quarter.
Speaking about India’s TV market, research Associate Debasish Jana stated, “India has always been a very lucrative market for TVs. With a large installed base of CRT and non-smart TVs, the country holds great potential for the growth of the smart TV segment.”
Jana added, “During the COVID-19 lockdowns, people were forced to remain at home for longer periods, resulting in a spurt in the demand for home entertainment, which in turn made the smart TV more popular in the country. Besides, OEMs are offering smart TVs with high specifications at very competitive prices, attracting consumers even more towards the smart TV.”
The rise in prices of panels (or open cells) and other TV components, along with chip shortages, in the global market, is keeping OEMs under pressure and we expect some price increase by a few top TV brands in the country. However, the Indian TV market is growing at a faster pace and is expected to reach the pre-pandemic level by early 2022.

In late August, OPPO F19s was tipped to launch in India ahead of the upcoming festive season in the country. A few weeks later, specs, price, and low-quality renders of this smartphone have now emerged on the internet. Let’s check out what this new OPPO handset has to offer.
OPPO F19s marketing images in Glowing Black & Glowing Gold color options. All specs are similar to OPPO F19. Launch expected by end of this month. -6GB+128GB: ₹19k – 20k
The information about the forthcoming OPPO F19s comes from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore. The low-resolution shared by him on Twitter showcases the phone’s design. Additionally, he also reveals the specs and price of this handset.
As per the leaker, the OPPO F19s will be available in two colors, namely Glowing Black and Glowing Gold. Other than that, the device will have exact same design as well as specifications of the vanilla OPPO F19 from earlier this year.
It is not surprising to learn that the OPPO F19s will be similar to the OPPO F19 (review). Because it was reported to launch as a special edition of the already available phone. Perhaps, OPPO could have kept the same name and added some special edition buzzword like last year’s OPPO F17 Pro Diwali Edition to avoid confusion.
OPPO F19
As far as price is concerned, Sudhanshu says that the OPPO F19s in a single 6GB + 128GB storage configuration could debut at around ₹19,000-₹20,000. This means it will cost as much as the OPPO F19, which currently retails at ₹18,990 for the same memory variant.
Last but not least, according to the tipster, the smartphone will launch by the end of September.
The yet-to-be-released OPPO K9 Pro smartphone has been spotted on multiple websites since August 2021. The K9 Pro was certified by TENAA last month and even appeared on GeekBench recently. The device has now been listed on the websites of Chinese retailers Jingdong (JD.com) and Suning with a possible September 26 date linked to the smartphone.
The listings bare the entire design of the device confirming previous images and also revealing a few details about the K9 Pro. The upper third of the OPPO K9 Pro is taken by the unique triple camera. The triple rear camera setup is headlined by a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide snapper, and a possible 2MP depth camera. The Oppo K9 Pro is primed to deliver super performance with its Dimensity 1200 chipset with 12GB of RAM and a 3.0GHz CPU. There are physical buttons on both sides of the smartphone which could mean that the fingerprint scanner could be under the OLED panel.

These details and listings on various websites could indicate that the K9 Pro is set for its unveiling very soon. Although there is no official confirmation yet from the Chinese company on the rumored September 26 launch date, we expect more details in the coming days. These details will include definitive information about the battery capacity of the K9 Pro, its screen size and capability, as well as pricing and global availability information.
