Last month. OPPO was tipped to launch OPPO Enco Buds and OPPO Enco Air in India soon. A few weeks later, the company has now officially confirmed to announce the former product in the country this Wednesday.
The OPPO Enco Buds will launch in India on September 8. This new pair of truly wireless earphones is already being sold in other markets. It is the successor to the OPPO Enco W11 from last year.
The latest entry-level TWS product from OPPO is near-identical to its predecessor in terms of design. However, it is an upgrade when we talk about features.
The OPPO Enco Buds not only feature Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity but also support quick pairing with devices running ColorOS. The buds feature 8mm dynamic drivers and come with 80ms low latency game mode as well as ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for calls.
Like any other pair of truly wireless earphones, they also have touch gesture controls. The earbuds are IP54-rated for dust/water resistance and they only weigh 4g each.
Last but not least, OPPO claims that the buds offer 6 hours of music playback time on a single charge and up to 24 hours with the USB Type-C equipped charging case.
Since the OPPO Enco W11 debuted at under ₹3,000 in India, its successor OPPO Enco Buds will probably cost the same in the country.
There have been reported about Huawei planning to launch its next-generation Nova series smartphone — Huawei Nova 9. Now, the Chinese company has officially confirmed that the device will be launched on 23rd September.
The poster shared by the company shows that the phone’s back panel which is consistent with what we’ve heard so far. There’s a gradient finish for the smartphone and the camera module is placed in the top-right corner.
Huawei usually faces availability issues for its smartphones but that won’t be the case this time as the Chinese technology giant reportedly has prepared sufficient stocks for the Nova 9 series. Apparently, the stock is more than the Huawei P50 series which was previously launched by the company.
The smartphone was recently certified by 3C as well as TENAA, revealing some key specifications and features. The phone, which carries model number RTE-AL00, features an OLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
It is likely to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. The device is said to have support for only 4G LTE connectivity and not the latest 5G. But, there’s a possibility that the company may launch a 5G variant at a later date.
Coming to the camera department, the device will have a quad-camera setup on the back while the front-facing snapper will be housed in a pill-shaped cutout on top of the screen. As for the software department, the smartphone has been confirmed to come running the company’s own HarmonyOS, likely with support for Android apps.
The Huawei Nova 9 is said to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery while the Pro variant in the lineup will reportedly pack a 4,000mAh battery. The device is also expected to ship with a 66W fast charging support. We expect to know more about the phone’s specifications and features in the coming days, as the launch date nears.
The news arrives from Weibo tipster @肥威 who stated that the upcoming next generation flagship Dimensity 5G SoC will be quite power efficient since it will be based on TSMC’s latest 4nm process node. He further added that the specifications of this chip will be notable thanks to its ARM V9 architecture, which will enable it to offer better performance over the previous generation.
On the other hand, we had also reported on a new rumor Known tipster Digital Chat Station that stated that the Snapdragon 895 or 898 is expected to be based on the 4nm process from Samsung. The South Korean tech giant will manufacture the base variant while TSMC will reportedly make its Plus variants later on. Although, keep in mind that these are still unconfirmed reports so take it with a pinch of salt for now.
However, MediaTek has been gaining grounds in the smartphone processor market in recent times. It is now a notable contender in multiple segments and through the upcoming chip might seek to better rival Snapdragon processors in the high end market, which has been dominated by Qualcomm. So stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available.
REDMAGIC, the sub-brand of ZTE has launched yet another gaming smartphone in China. The new model called REDMAGIC 6S Pro is a slightly upgraded version of the RedMagic 6 Pro from earlier this year. Samsung Electronics has just sold its 1.6 percent stake in China’s BYD, which is worth around 1.5 trillion Won (roughly 1.3 billion US Dollars). The move arrives as a surprise considering how many consumer electronic brands are racing to develop electric and self driving cars.
According to a KedGlobalreport, the South Korean tech giant has stated that its remaining stake at the Chinese automobile maker is now at 0.3 percent as of the end of the first quarter. In other words, it previously held a total 1.9 percent stake that was worth 1.7 trillion won at the time. The world’s largest smartphone brand had bought the stake back in 2016 as an effort to strengthen its bond with the Chinese electric car and battery manufacturer.
Furthermore, it was also to boost its automotive chip business as well. Although, the company selling its stake has puzzled many since various tech giants are moving towards next generation vehicles. So selling its stake at an established automobile brand would seem like a step in the opposite direction. As per some, the company decided to sell the BYD share to make profit as BYD’s shares have risen significantly in the past few years.
Although other stated that Samsung doesn’t have any major reason to sell off its BYD stake since the company already has a sizeable cash reserve of its own that amounts to around 100 billion US Dollars. On the other hand, the firm is also currently aiming on investing 17 billion US Dollars to build a new chip plant close to its existing factory in Austin, Texas.
Nubia has just held a new launch conference in which it announced its Red Magic 6S Pro smartphone. However, the company also unveiled a series of new accessories and peripheral products as well along with its new Red Magic Watch Vitality Edition.
Earlier this year, the Chinese smartphone maker had released its first smartwatch alongside the launch of the Red Magic 6 series. Now, the brand has launched a new variant of its wearable product. It is the Red Magic Watch Vitality Edition, which will be smaller and more affordable than the Red Magic Watch. Similar to the previously launched variant, it also features a round display with a metallic case and two buttons. Furthermore, its arrives in two color variants, namely black and silver.
It sports a smaller 1.19 inch screen compared to the 1.39 inch screen of the Red Magic Watch. Although, it still offers an AMOLED panel with AOD (Always On Display) support. The new version is also lighter, weighing 23 grams over the 30 grams of the Red Magic Watch. Like most modern smartwatches, it arrives with support for multiple sports modes along with sensors to monitor health metrics as well.
Apart from the new smartphone and smartwatch, the brand also launched a number of accessories and peripheral products. This includes its new Red Magic themed T Shirts, Figurines, and Face Masks, as well as electronic peripherals like a new magnetic power bank that is themed after Minions and another Red Magic branded power bank that has a massive 10,000mAh capacity. Meanwhile, it has also released a new 65W four port GaN3 gallium nitride charger along with a 20W and 30W chargers and a new Red Magic G1 Controller. While the pricing for these products is currently unavailable, stay tuned as we will provide an update for their price tags and availability.
Realme will be announcing the Realme 8s 5G smartphone in India on Sept. 9. It will be debuting as the world’s first Dimensity 810 powered handset. It appears soon after its announcement, the company may unveil another Dimensity 810 phone in China. It has been found that the Realme phone with RMX3381 model number, which was certified by the TENAA authority last month, will become equipped with the said chipset.
The Realme RMX3381 smartphone has been spotted at the Geekbench benchmarking site (via. Nashville Chatter Class). The listing reveals that the device is powered by the MediaTek MT6833V/PNZA chip, which includes six CPU cores working at 2.00GHz and the remaining two cores clocking at 2.4GHz.
It appears that the RMX3381 is powered by the Dimensity 810 chipset. The listing further reveals that it has 8 GB of RAM, and it runs on Android 11 OS. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, the handset scored 609 and 1803 points, respectively.
Recent reports have revealed that the RMX3381 will feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a front camera of 16-megapixel, and its rear camera setup has a 48-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit.
Realme RMX3381
The RMX3381 offers up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. It offers other features such as a 5,000mAh battery, fast charging support, Android 11 OS, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
It is speculated that the Realme RMX3381 may debut as a V-series smartphone. The specification of the RMX3381 is similar to the Realme 8s 5G. It appears that the only major difference between RMX3381 and Realme 8s 5G will be in the camera department. Reports have revealed that the 8s will be equipped with a 64-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit.
Google is expected to release Android 12 stable this month. Certain partner OEMs are also anticipated to drop new versions of their mobile software based on the latest version of Android following that. One such company is OPPO and it has officially started teasing its next major release called ColorOS 12.
The official ColorOS Weibo account of ColorOS shared a teaser image for ColorOS 12 earlier today. The picture shows the ColorOS Clock icon showing 12 o’clock. The post reads that the company will share more information in detail tomorrow (September 7).
We believe OPPO will be announcing the date for ColorOS 12 launch event tomorrow, which was recently leaked – September 13. For those who don’t know, OPPO held a dedicated event for ColorOS 11 last year after Android 11 hit the stable channel.
Hence, the same could happen this year. This means Android 12 Stable could get announced as early as today or some other day before the OPPO event.
As of now, we only know a few tidbits regarding ColorOS 12 based on Android 12. The new OPPO software is said to come with a new feature called ‘Cross Screen Interconnection’, which is nothing but a clone of HUAWEI Multi Screen Collaboration. The company is also tipped to implement features and design languages from various other Chinese Android skins like MIUI, Flyme, Smartisan OS, and HydrogenOS.
ColorOS 12 will not only be found on OPPO smartphones but also on OnePlus and realme. That’s because OnePlus phones sold in China run ColorOs for OnePlus, whereas in international markets, the same software with some tweaks is called OxygenOS. Lastly, it is a known fact that realme UI is nothing but ColorOS with certain changes.

From what we could gain from the reports over the last few years, it was expected that AMD Rembrandt would arrive sometime in early 2022. But if recent claims are anything to go by, we may see a launch sooner than expected. According to a renowned leaker, AMD Rembrandt (Ryzen 6000) APUs have already hit mass production and may arrive in the first half of 2022.
AMD's packaging plants in mainland China will complete six new products in the first half of next year.
Rembrandt is AMD’s next-gen APU that is based on the enhanced Zen3+ architecture and integrates RDNA 2 GPUs. Utilizing both LPDDR5 and DDR5 capabilities, these APUs will be fabricated on TSMC’s 6nm process nodes. With a maximum of 8/16 cores/threads, these APUs are expected to join the Ryzen 6000 series.
Followed this, would be the Zen3+ AMD Rembrandt-H and Rembrandt-U with TDP of 35-45 watts and 15-25 watts respectively. Rembrandt-H will feature 6nm process node, Navi2X (RDNA2) GPU architecture whereas Rembrandt-U will have Navi 2 (RDNA2) GPU architecture. Coupling with them will be the processor, codenamed Barcelo-U that will be based on Zen3 technology, 7nm process node, Vega 4th gen GPU architecture, having a TDP of 12-25 watts, and the same core/threads as the other two, 8/16 max.
The H-series is supposed to power high-end notebooks, U-series is meant for ultra-low-power notebooks. The other two, DragonCrest and Pollack families of processors, scheduled to launch alongside the above-mentioned ones, will power the ultra-low TDP notebooks. The current AMD Ryzen lineup, Ryzen 9 5980HX, shares a lot of the same features as the upcoming APUs with an exception to the updated LPDDR5/DDR5 memory capability and making use of the Ryzen 6000 series of processors.
That said, we will continue to track this, as the exact timeline for these launches is not defined yet.
Vivo is gearing up to launch its next-generation premium smartphone lineup — the Vivo X70 series which includes three models — X70, X70 Pro, and X70 Pro+. It has also been confirmed that these phones will come packed with the company’s self-developed Vivo V1 Image Signal Processing (ISP) chip.
Ahead of the launch of the Vivo X70 series smartphones, a new phone from the company was recently spotted on TENAA, carrying model number V2130A. Now, a new report claims that the smartphone is Vivo S10e.
Vivo S10 Series
The report also speculates that the Vivo S10e could get launched along with the Vivo X70 series smartphones on 9th September. However, there’s no such indication from the Chinese company so far.
For the uninitiated, Vivo had launched the Vivo S10 series of smartphones in July this year, which includes two models — Vivo S10 and S10 Pro, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset and up to 12GB of RAM.
As the name indicates, the Vivo S10e will be a trimmed-down version of the Vivo S10 smartphone. The TENAA listing reveals that the phone will feature a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels screen resolution.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz. It is likely to come in three RAM options — 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB, coupled with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
It will come with a triple-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary lens, a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. On the front side, there will be a 32-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
The smartphone will be running the Android 11 operating system out-of-the-box along with the company’s own custom user interface on top. The device will be powered by a 3,970mAh battery with 44W fast charging technology.
A hint was dropped by a renowned analyst that iPhone 13 could support LEO (low-earth-orbit) satellite communication, allowing users to communicate via messages and phone calls even when cellular coverage is unavailable. Being such a unique addition, it comes with its own set of limitations. It has been reported that iPhone 13s sold in certain markets might not get to see this feature from Apple.
As per the reports, the emergency satellite feature is only going to work in areas that do not have a cellular presence and is further narrowed down to only a few countries. Even though apple envisions deploying more of its satellite to democratize satellite communication, it is still years away. It has been further clarified that there’s no way it can be used as a satellite phone to make calls anywhere in the world without cellular coverage now. It’s only a thing for the future.
Having this feature onboard is a tedious task and requires hardware that isn’t quite ready yet and therefore, will have its own high costs. Also, this will certainly ignite a revolt between mobile carriers and Apple.
Apparently, Apple is working on two ways in which this feature could be integrated, one is to transmit short emergency text and the second is to send SOS distress signals, initially via iMessage, to contact either an emergency service or close friends without any cellular signal during a crisis, for example, in a plane crash or a sinking ship. This will eventually be extended to phone calls as well.
This, however, is going to be a little slow and may take a minute or two to get a signal, and will require iPhone 13 users to be outdoors to make use of the LEO satellite communication feature.
iPhone 13 lineup is expected to be officially unveiled in September, and we are yet to find if Apple will introduce this feature for sure.
Xiaomi has already confirmed that the company’s latest budget true wireless earphones under the Redmi brand, dubbed Redmi Buds 3, will be officially launched on 6th September. Now, the company has revealed its availability and pricing details.
The Redmi Buds 3 will be available through a crowdfunding campaign in China from 8th September. Although the true wireless earphones are priced at 199 yuan, they will be available for 159 yuan during the crowdfunding campaign.
In terms of design, the upcoming earphones from the Chinese company will have a semi in-ear design, which should make them comfortable to wear. Xiaomi says that the earbuds will offer stable connectivity and excellent sound quality.
The company will also be adding support for noise cancellation but it’s unlikely to be an Active Noise Cancellation feature. Further, there will be support for Fast Connection where a connectivity pop-up appears on the smartphone screen when the charging box or carrying case of the earphone opens.
The Redmi Buds 3 will also come with a low latency mode but details about that has not been revealed yet. It is claimed to offer a long battery life but the battery capacity is not yet known. To know more about the features and specifications of this upcoming true wireless earphones from Redmi, we will have to wait for the official launch tomorrow.
The leaked renders of the Realme GT Neo2 appeared last month. Today, the company released an official confirmation that it will be soon launching the GT Neo2. Hence, it appears that the smartphone may launch later this month.
Realme is yet to spill any information on the specs of the GT Neo2. A Realme phone with the RMX3370 model number was spotted in the database of China’s TENAA telecom authority last month. The images and specs of the phone suggest that it will be debuting in the Chinese market as the Realme GT Neo2.
Realme GT Neo2 specifications (Rumored)
The TENAA listing of the RMX3370 revealed that it measures 162.9 x 75.8 x 8.6mm and weighs 199.8 grams. The device houses a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen with a punch-hole design. It offers an FHD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is expected to offer a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The 3.18GHz octa-core processor, which fuels the RMX3370 phone could be the Snapdragon 870 chip. It is expected to arrive with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. The device will run on Android 11 and Realme UI 2.0.
A 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit is available on the backside of the smartphone. It has a front camera of 16-megapixel. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery, which reportedly supports 65W fast charging. Rumors have it that this device may debut with the Realme GT Neo Gaming moniker in global markets.
Google Camera Go, the trimmed-down version of the Pixel smartphone’s Google Camera application was launched by the technology giant in March last year. Over time, the company kept adding more and more features and capabilities.
Now, the latest version of the Google Camera Go 2.5 has a new MOD version by “Greatness” that brings support for several more devices. It comes with added features like Portrait Mode and Night Mode, among others.
There are now basically three versions of the Google Camera application available — the normal Google Camera, the lighter version as Google Camera Go, and the new MOD version with support for auxiliary cameras.
The company has also added Google image processing which has been well-received by the users of the Pixel smartphones. Although the Google Camera Go is a trimmed version of the app on the premium Pixel phones and the company is also adding features from its flagship phones, do not expect the performance to be on par with that.
The latest Google Camera Go 2.5 MOD should be available for almost every Android smartphone running version 8 or above but there’s a possibility that it won’t work with some devices, especially those that are very old or outdated.
Google had said that the Camera Go application was built for Android Go smartphone users with a clean and simple interface so that it’s easier to use for first-time users. The app also tracks how much photo and video storage space is available and helps users clear up space to ensure that there’s ample space for storing new memories.
BMW, the company known for its luxury cars, has lately been focusing on electric vehicles and has revealed several concepts over the past few years. In the latest move, the firm has unveiled a new concept — BMW CE 02 mini-bike.
The BMW CE 02, which is revealed just a week before the IAA Mobility Conference in the company’s home market Germany, is a two-wheeler that resembles the CE 04 concept bike which the company plans to start producing.
It has a minimalist look in silver and black colors with “technoid typography.” There’s a circular LED headlight as well as a small display sitting between the handlebars for displaying information like speed and battery status.
Interestingly, the company has opted to make it a simple digital display for necessary information, without the need to connect the bike to a smartphone or an application, which is frankly refreshing to hear at a time when everything is getting connected to the phone.
The product packs an 11kW belt-driven motor that can reach a top speed of 90kmph (approximately 55 miles per hour). While the company has not revealed the battery capacity, it has shared that a fully charged battery in CE 02 can provide a range of 90 kilometers. The whole package weighs 120 kilograms (approximately 265 pounds).
It appears that BMW is trying to position this product as a missing link between a scooter and a motorcycle, and is focusing on urban youngsters.
Although this is just a concept product from BMW, there’s a chance that it could actually go into production. If that happens, then there will be a few changes to its design as the company will need to add license plates, turn signals, reflectors, and fenders.
The Realme Pad will break cover as Realme’s first tablet on Sept. 9 in India. The landing page of the tablet went live on the Flipkart retailer site last week. The listing revealed that it will be a slim and lightweight device. The updated landing page now showcases the front and rear design of the tablet.
As can be seen in the above image, Realme has confirmed that the Realme Pad will be sporting a 10.4-inch display that offers a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. With thick bezels around the screen, the tablet promises a screen-to-body ratio of 82.5 percent. While past reports have claimed that the Realme Pad has an AMOLED display, the Flipkart listing does not mention it specifically.
The rear view of the tablet reveals that the Realme Pad will be sporting a single camera. It will be an ultra-thin device measuring only 6.9mm in thickness. Past reports have revealed that apart from Gold, the tablet will also arrive in Gray.
Realme Pad specifications (Rumored)
The Realme Pad will feature a 10.4-inch screen and it will be fueled by the Helio G80 chipset. It will offer 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. It will be backed by a 7,100mAh battery.
Realme Pad
