US e-commerce giant Amazon is reportedly planning to launch a new line of its own-branded smart TV in the United States. The TVs are said to be planned for launch in early October according to a report first carried by Business Insider.
Amazon isn’t new to the TV segment per se. The brand presently sells a wide variety of self-branded products in India under the AmazonBasics label. The line includes Fire OS-powered smart TV models in different sizes. In January this year, the brand expanded its portfolio by releasing three new models that are targeted at first-time smart TV buyers.
Business Insider quotes sources with knowledge of information described as a “closely guarded secret” to have hinted that the smart TVs will pack Alexa support. The TVs will also be available in different sizes ranging from 55- to 75-inches in size. Just like most of the Amazon-branded products, the TV will reportedly be manufactured by Chinese firm TCL but this time around, one of the models will be manufactured directly by Amazon.
We believe Amazon is bringing the smart TVs sold under the AmazonBasics moniker in India to the US. Although there is a basic 32-inch version with FullHD resolution in India, there are other models ranging from 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch displays with 4K resolutions.
There is no word yet on the pricing of the smart TV models but the AmazonBasics TV 55-inch is on sale in India for Rs 42,999 in India (~$589). Thus, the smart TV will start at around $600 in the US.
There has been a lot of rumors and leaks surrounding the Galaxy S21 FE series. The device is also highly anticipated even though Samsung is yet to disclose when it will be launched. There are rumors that the device will go official in October. Apparently, the rumors may be true after all. The Galaxy S21 FE’s quick start guide has just leaked from a US carrier Cricket Wireless. The carrier is an AT&T-owned prepaid carrier that offers affordable phone plans that aren’t tied to annual contracts.
The guide shows that the phone will be offered by the carrier and that the launch is close by. It also confirms some of the vital info for users as well as live images of the affordable flagship device.
The Galaxy S21 FE is a highly-anticipated device mainly due to its ability to offer flagship features found on the Galaxy S21 series at an affordable price. The device will take over from the Galaxy S20 FE which was a hit when it was released last year.
This new leak comes not too long after the user manual for the S21 FE leaked online showing the device won’t have a MicroSD slot, among other things. The manual also reveals the device will also come with an IP68 waterproof rating, a high display refresh rate, and will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor among others. The device will also miss out on a charging adapter inside the box.
While the Galaxy S21 FE 5G is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, a recent GeekBench listing shows that there will be an Exynos 2100 version as well. This has left some fans disappointed considering the below-par performance the Exynos version will provide compared to the Snapdragon-n model.
There is still no word yet from the Korean tech giant regarding a launch date but we expect an announcement to be made in that regard soon.
Once in a while, we publish a comparison between the most affordable 5G phones released by mainstream smartphone manufacturers. We do it because they are among the hottest handsets in the market: a lot of people want to try 5G connectivity but, at the same time, they want to save money as 5G phones are generally more expensive than 4G ones. In this article, we compared the specifications of three of the main 5G budget phones from Chinese manufacturers sold in the global market: Redmi Note 10T 5G, Realme 8 5G, and OPPO A54 5G.

Design
OPPO always pays a lot of attention to the realization of the designs of its phones, including the affordable ones. The OPPO A54 5G is the device with the most interesting design not only for attention to the details but even for its sleek body. It is thin and lightweight despite its big battery, and it has a high screen-to-body ratio. The Redmi Note 10T 5G has bigger dimensions and a less impressive design, but it comes with the Gorilla Glass 3 protection which makes the display panel sturdier. All these phones are built with polycarbonate and they do not include premium materials.
Display
On the paper, the OPPO A54 5G has a superior display: unlike Redmi Note 10T 5G and Realme 8 5G, it has an LTPS panel which is a more advanced kind of LCD display. But the specifications are the same for each device: a diagonal of 6.5 inches, a Full HD+ resolution, and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The phones are equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint reader for authentication and they have a single punch hole on the front.
Hardware/Software
The most advanced phone if we talk about the hardware department is the Realme 8 5G. It has the same processor as the Redmi Note 10T 5G: an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 built with a 7 nm production process and belonging to the mid-end segment (low-end if we only consider 5G phones). But the amount of RAM is higher: in the most expensive configuration, it comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 native storage. The Redmi Note 10T 5G goes up to 6 GB of RAM, but it features UFS 2.2 storage. The three handsets run Android 11 out of the box.
Camera
If you need the best camera phone, you should go for the OPPO A54 5G without thinking twice. It has a brighter focal aperture for the main 48 MP sensor and it adds an 8 MP ultrawide camera, unlike Redmi Note 10T 5G and Realme 8 5G. Further, it has the best front camera with a 16 MP resolution and an f/2.0 focal aperture.
Battery
These phones come with the same battery capacity: 5000 mAh. And given that the components are similar, you should not expect important differences in terms of battery life. Note that OPPO A54 5G lacks fast charging, while Redmi Note 10T 5G and Realme 8 5G support it.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10T 5G vs OPPO A54 5G vs Realme 8 5G: Price
You can actually find OPPO A54 5G and Realme 8 5G for less than €200/$240 in the global market, while in India they start from Rs. 13,990 and Rs. 15,499 online. Redmi Note 10T 5G is priced at Rs. 14,999 in India and it is still not available globally. Overall, the OPPO A54 5G is slightly more interesting (even though not for everyone): despite it lacks fast charging and it has an inferior chipset, it comes with better cameras.

South Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly planning to start including Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) on the mid-range Galaxy A series from next year. Before now, OIS is only included in the flagship Galaxy S and Note series. However, the company had started including the feature on some of the upper models in the Galaxy A series.
Reports emanating from South Korea indicate that the company is now planning to expand the availability of OIS on its smartphones to the entire Galaxy A series models from next year. Optical image stabilization involves mounting a gyro sensor on the camera module which moves the lens in the opposite direction to counter any form of shakes or movements, thereby maintaining stability. OIS is usually applied to the main rear camera in most smartphones.
This year, the Galaxy A series models that came equipped with OIS include the Galaxy A72 packing a 64-megapixel camera, the Galaxy A52 also equipped with a 64-megapixel sensor, and the Galaxy A22 4G which packs a 48-megapixel camera. All other models in the series such as the Galaxy A32 4G/5G, Galaxy A22 5G, and Galaxy A42 utilize autofocus (AF) with lower performance than OIS.
Samsung has in recent times been losing market share to Chinese manufacturers such as Xiaomi who offer high-end smartphones at pocket-friendly prices. The move to expand the OIS usage is in a bid to strengthen the competitiveness of its mid-range segment. Even Apple is expected to bring OIS to the budget iPhone SE 5G that is rumored to be released later this year.
The Korean company recently invested 150 billion won in Jaeyoung Solutech, a secondary parts supplier for its smartphones. The company announced a few days back that it would enter the OIS camera module market with plans to supply OIS camera modules to Samsung Electronics as early as the fourth quarter.

Motorola recently launched a slew of smartphones under the Edge series. The series is made up of the Motorola Edge 20, the Edge 20 Fusion, and the most powerful Motorola Edge 20 Pro. The flagship Motorola Edge 20 Pro has now gotten the teardown treatment, thanks to PBKreviews.
The teardown shows the Edge 20 Pro is pretty difficult to repair with a reparability score of 4.5/10. That means it won’t b a good idea to attempt to repair the phone yourself if you haven’t got the expertise.
The teardown also gives us a good look at the internals showing a group of graphene films for heat conduction. The video also shows the sideways-mounted telephoto camera lying next to the 108MP main camera.
The Edge 20 Pro’s battery does not come with pull tabs to detach it from the phone. This makes it risky and difficult to remove the battery. Caution will need to be exercised so as not to damage other components due to the strength of the adhesive.
In the same vein, screen replacement might pose some serious challenges if the need arises. This is because the phone has to be opened entirely, starting from the back to the front. Replacing the side-mounted fingerprint sensor will also require opening the entire screen first but thankfully, you may never need to do that.
As a reminder. the Motorola Edge 20 Pro is a Snapdragon 870-powered phone sporting a 6.7-inch FHD+ 144Hz OLED display. The processor is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone packs a 108MP primary rear camera, an 8MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and 50x superzoom, and a 16MP ultrawide angle camera that can also shoot in macro. While for selfies, there is a 32MP camera.
Microsoft is gearing up for the official launch of the Windows 11 OS. It arrives with various new features and other improvements, but perhaps most notably, it brings native support for Android apps without requiring an emulator. Now, a new report has suggested that this feature could also arrive in the company’s popular gaming consoles, the Xbox.
While the Android app support on Windows 11 won’t be available immediately after its first launch, it is expected to arrive soon after. However, the American tech giant did announce that it was working with Amazon (and its App Store) and Intel to bring this feature to its latest Windows version. As of right now, you can find the feature dubbed “Windows Subsystem for Android” on the Microsoft Store, although, it doesn’t do anything at the moment.
But interestingly enough, the Store listing offers us quite an unexpected device being mentioned in the system requirements category. In this list, we can see the Xbox One being mentioned as well, which hints at the possibility of this Android app support feature also making its way to the popular gaming console (Via SlashGear). However, it is unlikely that this would bring Android productivity based apps and would likely include more entertainment based software like games. This wouldn’t be too far fetches considering the control schemes of mobile games are directly inspired by the controller gamepads.
Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed speculation so take this report with a pinch of salt. We will also have to wait and see what Microsoft has in store for us with its new Android app support feature, so stay tuned for more as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this matter.
World’s fastest-growing smartphone brand realme is all set to launch the realme 8i and the realme 8s in India on September 9. The brand has even confirmed to debut its first-ever tablet called realme Pad at this event. Now, a realme exec says that the company will be also making an announcement regarding the realme 9 series at this conference.
realme 8 Series
A few days back, news broke out that the realme 9 series could soon go official. A tipster even revealed that the new lineup will be launched in October ahead of Diwali festive season, which will kick off in early November.
Today, Francis Wong, CMO of realme India and realme Europe officially confirmed the existence of the realme 9 series via a tweet. According to him, the brand will make a ‘big announcement’ concerning the upcoming smartphones at its September 9 launch event.
As of now, we know nothing about the realme 9 series, except for the name of some models. The new number lineup from realme is expected to include realme 9, realme 9 Pro, realme 9 Prime, and realme 9A.
Additionally, the brand is also said to debut the realme Note 9 series consisting of realme Note 9 and realme Note 9 Prime. The duo will be the first-ever realme Note series phones. Perhaps, the ‘big announcement’ teased by the brand exec is related to these devices.
Having said that, since these handsets are at least a month away from launch, we expect to learn more about them in the coming days.
Brendan Greene, the creator of the massively popular PUBG franchise, has announced that he is leaving Krafton Inc. He now plans to launch his own game development studio that will be called Playerunknown Productions.
For those unaware, Playerunknown was Greene’s nickname in the gaming community and is the reason as to why the battle royale game is dubbed PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Now, he plans to take this name forward with his own studio in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Notably, Krafton will hold a minority stake in this new venture. The new ‘PLAYERUNKNOWN Production’ will develop games around massively multiplayer open world games that have a large scale, which isn’t surprising due to his expertise in the battle royale genre.
Brendan said in a statement that “I’m so very grateful to everyone at PUBG and KRAFTON for taking a chance on me and for the opportunities they afforded me over the past four years. Today, I’m excited to take the next step on my journey to create the kind of experience I’ve envisioned for years. Again, I’m thankful for everyone at KRAFTON for supporting my plans, and I’ll have more to reveal about our project at a later date.”
As per recent research conducted by market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung emerged as India’s “biggest smartwatch manufacturer” in Q2 2021. According to IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker, Samsung recorded an 860-per cent year-on-year growth in shipments.
In a statement to IDC, Samsung said that the popularity of Galaxy Watch Active 2 and Watch 3 series helped the company capture 41.2 per cent market share in June ’21. Samsung also said, “the company strives to enable smartwatch users lead a healthier lifestyle and hopes that the new Watch 4 series will usher in a new generation of individuals into the Watch family.”
Samsung Galaxy Watch3
Further, a recent report from Counterpoint suggests that India emerged as the fastest-growing market in the last quarter for smartwatches. India used to be the smallest market in the same quarter last year with a 2% market share of the total market but last quarter it accounted for 6% of the global market.
According to the Counterpoint report, Apple emerged as the winner in Q2 2021, but the company witnessed a slight fall in its market share compared to last year. The firm cites increasing competition from Chinese and Indian brands as a reason for Apple’s decline. Meanwhile, Samsung had a great quarter with a 43 per cent year-on-year growth, whereas Garmin showcased 62 per cent year-on-year growth in the last quarter.
Samsung Galaxy Watch4
Samsung recently announced the Galaxy Watch4 Series, which includes Watch4 and Watch4 Classic. The new Watch series comes with the company’s bio-active sensor comprising three sensors – Optical Heart Rate, Electrical Heart, and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis. These sensors help users monitor their blood pressure, blood oxygen levels and AFib irregular heart rate. The Galaxy Watch4 Series is now available for pre-orders in India starting at Rs. 26,999 for the Watch4 and Rs. 31,999 for the Watch4 Classic.
WhatsApp is rolling out its new chat transfer feature to a number of Samsung smartphones. This feature was first revealed back in the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event and would allow chat migration between iOS and Android devices.
As of right now, the popular social media platform only offers this feature to Samsung smartphones. It allows users to to transfer their account information, profile pictures, personal and group chats, media, and even settings from an iPhone to a Samsung device. In a recent blogpost, the the company announced that it seeks to expand this chat transfer feature, by having including more smartphones from the South Korean tech giant in the compatibility list.
Now, any Samsung phone that runs version 3.7.22.1 or higher of the Samsung SmartSwitch app and runs Android 10 or above can use the WhatsApp Chat Transfer feature. Although, the chat messaging app also added that it is working on soon including other Android smartphones soon as well. On the other hand, iPhone users need WhatsApp iOS version 2.21.160.17 or higher to use this feature. Notably, Samsung users would also need a USB Type C lightning port to make the transfer as it is a local migration rather than having the data pass through a cloud to ensure privacy.
For those interested, here are the steps to perform the chat transfer from an iPhone to a Samsung handset:
Turn on your Samsung and connect by cable to your iPhone when prompted.
Follow the Samsung Smart Switch experience.
When prompted, scan the QR code displayed on the new device using the iPhone’s camera.
Tap Start on your iPhone, and wait for the process to complete.
Continue setting up your new Samsung.
When you reach the home screen, open WhatsApp and log in using the same phone number used on your old device.
Tap Import when prompted, and allow the process to complete.
Finish activating your new device and you’ll see your chats waiting for you.
Redmi Note series is probably the most popular smartphone lineup by Xiaomi in India. But unfortunately, it is not known for getting early access to updates. The older Redmi Note 8 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro have started receiving the MIUI 12.5 update only now.
Redmi Note 8 Pro
The last major update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro in India was MIUI 12 over a year ago. Similarly, Redmi Note 9 Pro got its last big update in the form of Android 11 in late 2020.
The two phones are now receiving the MIUI 12.5 update together in the country. The latest system update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro also brings along Android 11. However, the new build comes with July 2021 security patches instead of August 2021 like the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
The new software update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India bumps up the build numbers to V12.5.3.0.RGGINXM and V12.5.1.0.RJWINXM respectively.
Like any other OTA system update, the MIUI 12.5 update for these handsets is also being rolled out in batches. Hence, they might take some time to reach every user. But at the end of the day, everyone should be able to experience the new software in the coming days.
Nubia has been teasing the upcoming Red Magic 6S Pro a lot over the last couple of days. Its launch is set for next week (on September 6) and we have seen glimpses of the device in a recent video teaser as well. Now, a new unboxing video has revealed the design of the smartphone and also revealed some specifications as well.
Display
In a new video from Zollotech, the Tech YouTuber shared a full unboxing video of the Red Magic 6S Pro that showcased the device in all its glory. Zollotech also went as far as to setup the smartphone while also offering some of his own views of the new handset. While the pricing has yet to be revealed, the YouTuber revealed that the 6S Pro will launch in multiple storage variants, which includes a “Cyborg 12GB RAM + 128GB Storage,” “Cyborg 16GB RAM + 256GB Storage,” and a “Ghost 16GB RAM + 256GB Storage” variants.
Rear Camera Specs
This is somewhat in line with our previous reports, although, the device was expected to also arrive in an 8GB RAM and go up to 512GB for storage. In the box, we can see the usual charging cable and brick. However, the most interesting aspect of the unboxing was the design. While the Chinese smartphone maker has teased a transparent rear panel for the device in teaser image posters and videos, this variant of the smartphone has an opaque and glossy back. So, the transparent version might be exclusive to a high end storage model or a special edition.
Gaming Mode
The version the YouTuber unboxed featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ along with 128GB of storage. It sports a 6.8 inch AMOLED display that has a FHD+ resolution with 165Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 700 nits. The front panel also houses an in display fingerprint reader as well. On the rear, the 6S Pro features a triple camera setup with a 64 megapixel primary camera, paired with an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and another 2 megapixel sensor. As per Zollotech, the phone is powered by a massive 5,050mAh battery pack that support 120W air cooled fast charging.
Notably, the video clearly showcases the gaming mode of the device that lets users customize various options regarding the smartphone. This includes the touch sampling rate, refresh rate, turning the turbo fan on and off, boost performance, and much more. He also noted that the phone’s rear panel did get warm after playing Real Racing 3 and COD: Mobile, although, this was with the fan off. Zollotech found the camera decent and even did a camera and audio test as well. The video arrives prior to the official launch of the Red Magic 6S Pro, so it might be taken down soon but you can check it out by clicking on the video above.
Earlier today (3rd September 2021), Nubia shared another teaser for its upcoming Red Magic 6S Pro smartphone. The teaser arrived in the form of a new video that showcased the device’s cooling system and its RGB fan.
The brand shared the teaser video on its official Weiboaccount, a Chinese microblogging website. Looking at this video, we can see a user playing a game with the upcoming smartphone. The person turns on the gaming mode, which lights up the RGB fan that is visible through the transparent back panel of the device. Since devices tend to run hotter when playing intensive games, the company included a fan with its new gaming phone.
Meanwhile, the RGB fan helps add more of the ‘gaming aesthetic’ that the Red Magic series is known for. The Chinese smartphone maker also added that the upcoming handset features ICE7.0 nine layered multi dimensional cooling system that will help keep the thermals low during tasks like gaming. Previously, it had also teased the space grade materials used in the cooling system.
Under the hood, the device sports the high end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC, so it is understandable that the brand is using an advanced cooling system to ensure performance over longer periods of gaming. The new Red Magic 6S Pro is set to launch on 6th September 2021, which is next week. So stay stick with us as we will be covering the launch event or any other teaser that might surface over the weekends.
Apple is apparently in talks with another established automobile maker for the production of its self branded car. The company could strike a deal with Toyota to make the Apple Car, with production starting by 2024.
According to a DigiTimesreport (Via MacRumors), representatives from the Cupertino based giant have apparently met up with South Korea’s SK Group and LG Electronics and are now looking at Japan’s Toyota as the next potential partner. For those unaware, the iPhone maker has been rumored to be working on its self branded car for a while now. But its a major shift from making consumer electronics to a whole vehicle, and thus, the brand is looking to partner with established firms to get access to a new supply chain.
Interestingly, recent reports have also revealed that the company aims to develop its own EV batteries in the US that aims to “radically” reduce the cost of batteries and increase the range of the electric vehicle. Furthermore, the report also added that the company is aiming on starting production for its self branded Apple Car by the year 2024, which is in line with previous reports that stated the same year for production. Keep in mind that this is still an unconfirmed report so take it with a pinch of salt for now, and stay tuned for more updates.
Earlier today, realme confirmed that its first-ever tablet called realme Pad will be launching in India on September 9. It will be unveiled alongside the realme 8i and the realme 8s. Ahead of the official announcement, the key features of this product have emerged on the internet.
Tipster Yogesh Brar has tweeted the primary specs of the upcoming realme Pad. According to him, the tablet will feature a sleek and light design with materials like aluminum alloy and plastic.
Further, it will sport a 10.4-inch display, which could be an AMOLED panel. The device will be powered by a MediaTek G80 chipset as hinted by a Geekbench listing a few days back.
Although the tablet will have LPDDR4x RAM, it will come with inferior eMMC5.1 storage. As far as capacity is concurrent, it is said to arrive with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with support for MicroSD cards.
Like most tablets, this one will be also equipped with quad-speakers with support for DTS HD and Hi-Res Audio. However, as per renders, it will lack a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As per previous reports, the realme Pad will have an 8MP rear camera. It will be available in WiFi-only and cellular (LTE) variants with up to 6GB RAM. Last but not least, the device will run Android 11 and will be backed by a 7,100mAh battery.
As of now, it’s not known how much will the realme Pad cost in India. But Yogesh says that it will be priced competitively.
Almost every major smartphone manufacturer has its own voice assistant. With advancements in technology, companies want to put a smart device in the user’s pocket and home, raising questions about privacy.
In line with that, a lawsuit was filed against Apple alleging that the company’s voice assistant, called Siri, has improperly recorded private conversations. In a ruling related to that case, the judge ruled that the company will have to face the lawsuit, reports Reuters.
Apple had requested to dismiss the lawsuit, and Judge Jeffrey S. White of the federal district court in Oakland did dismiss one piece of the lawsuit that involved users’ economic harm. But he ruled that the plaintiffs, who are trying to make it a class-action lawsuit, could continue pursuing claims about violating user privacy.
The judge said the plaintiffs may pursue claims that Apple violated the federal Wiretap Act and California privacy law and committed a breach of contract. However, he dismissed an unfair competition claim. The case claims that Siri turned on unprompted and recorded conversations that it shouldn’t have and passed the data along to third parties.
One Siri user said his private discussions with his doctor about a “brand name surgical treatment” caused him to receive targeted ads for that treatment, while two others said their discussions about Air Jordan sneakers, Pit Viper sunglasses, and “Olive Garden” caused them to receive ads for those products.
Apple isn’t the only one facing a lawsuit for this, but its competitors Google and Amazon, are also facing allegations of violating user privacy by voice assistants. The companies deny that they are listening to conversations for any purpose other than the intended ones.
The production of smartphones has been severely impacted because of the global chip shortage as well as rising cases of COVID-19 in some regions of Asia, reveals a new report coming from TrendMicro.
The report adds that in the second quarter of this year, smartphone production totaled 307 million units which is a significant drop of 11 percent compared to Q1 2021. However, when compared to Q2 2020, the numbers represent an increase of 10 percent.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3
Samsung, which has been dominating the smartphone market for years, was the largest smartphone manufacturer by production volume in the second quarter of the year, making 58.5 million units. Compared to the company’s production in the first quarter of 2020, this is a massive drop of 23.5 percent.
The company has production facilities in India and Vietnam which have been hit hard with the COVID-19 outbreak. The South Korean giant had to temporarily halt production in some local factories or scale back production.
Apple iPhone 12
Coming to Apple, the production of the iPhone declined in the second quarter of the year but that is normal given that the company entered a model transition phase. In the third quarter, the Cupertino-based giant launches its new iPhone model and this time, it is set to launch the iPhone 13 series in the coming days.
The production of the iPhone went down 22 percent quarter-on-quarter to 42 million units. If the companies are to be ranked based on the production numbers, then Apple is moved to the fourth position, but it’ll make a comeback in the third and fourth quarter.
With Samsung getting the top position and Apple ranking fourth, Chinese smartphone makers OPPO and Xiaomi have secured the second and third position based on the smartphone units produced in Q2 2021. Both the companies produced 49.5 million units each and the count includes their sub-brands.
Vivo has just shared another teaser for its upcoming X70 series of smartphones. While the company has teased the rear cameras of the device previously, it has now revealed certain specifications of its display.
As per a new image poster shared online, the Chinese smartphone maker revealed the X70’s front side. The company adds that the new smartphone uses Samsung’s fifth and latest generation of luminous material for the new AMOLED screen panel. The E5 panel offers various improvements over the previous E4 generation of OLED displays and arrives with 25 percent lower power consumption, higher contrast ratio of 8000000:1, and a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits.
Furthermore, the brand also revealed the resolution of this display, which is a 2K panel. Unfortunately, Vivo did not reveal any finer details regarding the new smartphones, although, we had covered key specifications of the X70 Pro+ that were found on a TENAA certification listing. The higher end variant sports a QHD+ 6.78 inch display. Notably, the teaser image also confirmed the center aligned punch hole front facing camera as well, which is expected to be a 32 megapixel selfie camera. So stay tuned for more, as we will be covering any new updates or leaks that surface prior to the September 9 launch of the new lineup.
