Apple Watch was allegedly used as a tracker for robbery in the United States

Apple Watch has been featured in news several times and most of them are related to good instances, like the smartwatch saving the life of a man who fell into an icy river or saving the life of a British cyclist caught in a flooded river. This time, the wearable device has found an alternative use case.

The Apple Watch was allegedly used by a crew of seven people to track down and rob a suspected drug dealer of over $500,000. The Department of Justice in the United States claims that the wearable device was used by the leader of the seven-people crew to track down the victim.

Apple Watch Tracking Robbery

It adds that the group stuck the device on the dealer’s bumper and tracked him to Hartford, Connecticut. As per the reports, Darren Lindsay, a 30-year-old leader of the crew registered an Apple Watch to his AT&T plan. On July 18th, 2020, he, along with two collaborators, tailed the car to a hotel parking lot in Hartford, broke the window, and looked for drug money.

After not finding anything, the team left and then returned for an overnight stake-out. Prosecutors claim that the following day, they shoved the victim in an SUV, and punched him in the face until he handed over his hotel key card. Then, Indigo Grant allegedly smuggled a bag containing about $500,000 from the room, and they dropped the victim in the nearby town of New Britain.

Darren Lindsay then uploaded a private image of a massive pile of cash to his iCloud account while Antoine Koen, another member of the group, took a similar photo which also displayed his face in the frame.

Several pieces of evidence related to the robbery were revealed through the group member’s iCloud account, including toll records, text threads discussing the watch passcode and the stake-out, updates on whether the news had reported the robbery, divvying up the cash, among others.

Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud) is coming to the Xbox Series S|X and Xbox One this holiday

Xbox Cloud Gaming or xCloud is Microsoft’s game streaming service. Available on Android, PCs, and iOS, Microsoft is now bringing the service to its game consoles including the last generation Xbox One in time for the holidays.

Xbox Cloud Gaming coming to Xbox consoles

xCloud allows users to play up to 100 different Xbox games on devices that normally wouldn’t support these games such as your smartphone. Now, the service is being extended to the Xbox Series S|X as well as the Xbox One. The news of the service coming to the last-gen console was first reported in June.

The big winners here are the Xbox One owners as this means they will be able to play (via streaming) next-gen exclusive games not originally released for their console. Microsoft has already revealed that new Xbox games will be available on Game Pass, the subscription service required for Xbox Cloud Gaming, on the same day that they are released.

Xbox Cloud Gaming will also allow users to join their friends in multiplayer games without the need to finish downloading the said game. Games available for streaming on Game Pass will have a cloud icon as seen in the image above. The Verge reports that an update to the Xbox dashboard will roll out to the consoles to include the cloud icon. It is said that users will be able to stream in 1080p at 60fps.

The game streaming service will first be made available to Xbox Insiders this fan before a wider release in time for the holidays.

realme 8i leaks in its entirety before official launch

Earlier this month, realme confirmed that it will be launching the realme 8i alongside the realme 8s in India. Ahead of this announcement, the realme 8s had already leaked in full glory. Now, we also get to learn more about the realme 8i.

realme 8i Render Leak Featured A

Reliable leaker @Onleaks (Steve Hemmerstoffer) has partnered with Digit India to reveal the upcoming realme 8i. The tipster has not only exposed the design of the smartphone via renders but also its specs.

According to the renders, the forthcoming realme 8i will be identical to the other models in the lineup in terms of design. In other words, it will have a matrix camera array design. However, unlike the expensive 8 Pro, the 8i will have a glossy finish but will retain the plastic build.

Talking about specifications, the realme 8i will be the world’s first smartphone with a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. It will sport a 6.59-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole at the top left corner.

The device will have a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. It will also have a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

Interestingly, the leakster says that it will only have 4GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. But we believe there could be a higher RAM variant as well.

The remaining features of the handset include a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 5,000mAh battery, unknown fast charging, 8.6mm thickness, and 194g weight.

Unfortunately, though we know almost everything about the realme 8i, the phone’s launch date is still a mystery.
