Xiaomi has today launched its latest product in the Chinese market — Mi Water Purifier 1200G which is now available for pre-sale. It carries a price tag of 2,999 yuan ($462) during the pre-sale period and can be pre-ordered with a deposit of 500 yuan. The company has said that it will be officially available for purchase from 26th July in China.
The Mi Water Purifier 1200G comes with the industry’s innovative dual RO filtration technology which has reached a new high terms of water flow, pure waster water ratio, and filter life, as per the company’s claims.
It is said to have a water dispensing speed of 3.2 liters per minute and takes only about three seconds to fill a glass with 150ml water and just 18.9 seconds to fill a 1L kettle.
The company adds that the wastewater filtered by the main RO filter element is then filtered by the auxiliary RO filter element. In the lifting mode, the ratio of pure to wastewater is 5:1 and in the standard mode, the ratio of pure to wastewater is 3:1.
The wastewater can be used for washing dishes, watering flowers, and mopping. The secondary RO filter element protects the main RO filter element. It also comes with an RO anti-clogging separation technology, which can offer around five years of long-term performance without degradation.
It contains eight levels of deep filtration, which can effectively filter out harmful substances such as bacteria, heavy metals, disinfection products, and deeply purify the water quality to meet the water quality requirements of direct drinking water.
The use of a new 8-cavity pump design can effectively improve the water supply efficiency. By reducing the speed of the pump while balancing the working torque of the pump, the noise and vibration of the pump have also been effectively reduced.
The Mi Water Purifier 1200G comes with pure water backflushing technology. When it’s idle, the water will flow back to the original water source to ensure that the pure water end of the RO membrane is circulated and flushed to prevent wastewater infiltration.

The phone had piled up several leaks and now it has finally appeared on TENAA. Additionally, the Xiaomi CC series, which everyone thought might be dead is getting a new device, dubbed Xiaomi CC 11.
So far, we’ve learned that model number 2106118C belongs to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4. Now, the phone has appeared on TENAA confirming its presence. But, unfortunately, there’s nothing that firmly confirms its specs sheet. The listing also misses the ID images, which we can expect to see soon.
On the other hand, Xiaomi CC’s product manager, Wei Siqi took it to social media confirming the launch of new generation CC series phones. According to him, the upcoming Xiaomi CC phones will launch in the third quarter of this year. Interestingly, a CC branded phone which is said to carry the 2107119DC has also appeared on TENAA. Just like the Mi Mix 4, this listing also misses on ID images.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 Specifications(Expected)
Apart from the listing, the Mi Mix 4’s specs were leaked by a Weibo tipster. The smartphone is touted to feature a 6.67-inch OLED panel with curved edges. Xiaomi is said to opt for a custom-made panel for the Mix 4 smartphone with unique viewing angles.
One of the major highlights of the device will be the in-display selfie camera. The device will boast a triple rear camera system with a 50MP Samsung GN1 primary lens.
Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to come powered by a flagship chipset, likely the Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, and will be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 onboard storage. It is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with a whopping 120W fast charging support.
Xiaomi Mi CC 11 Specifications(Expected)

The vanilla model is expected to feature a 90Hz refresh rate OLED panel and a 64MP triple rear camera system.
Regarding the launch dates, the phones are expected to launch next month in China.
After the success of the original Nord, OnePlus is all geared up to launch its second budget-centric smartphone dubbed the OnePlus Nord 2. While the launch is scheduled for July 22, rumors about the phone have been all over the Internet. With so many leaks, it is hard to keep a track of what’s expected from a particular device. So today, we are rounding up all the rumors circulating the Nord 2.
OnePlus Nord 2 Rumor Round-Up: What to Expect?
Display and Design
Out of all the leaks, the most recent Nord 2 phone renders give us a clear idea of the phone’s design. Unlike, the predecessor, the upcoming Nord will borrow design elements from the flagship OnePlus 9 series.
The smartphone is said to feature a 6.43-inch punch-hole AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It is a 90Hz refresh rate panel that will double up as an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Cameras on the Nord 2 5G
As for the optics, the smartphone is touted to have a similar camera island as the OnePlus 9. It will feature a triple rear camera system with two lenses placed vertically and the third lens and the LED flash placed horizontally beneath the first two lenses.
The setup will be led by a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP tertiary camera. Upfront, it will boast a 32MP selfie camera at the top left.
Hardware and Software
Back in April, leaks claimed that the Nord 2 smartphone will come powered by a MediaTek Dimensity SoC. The flagship Dimensity 1200 SoC was expected to be paired with a base 8GB of RAM on the phone.
Recently, OnePlus officially confirmed that the device is coming with the Dimensity 1200 Soc. Later, it was also seen in a few benchmarks. The smartphone scored 203.1K on the AI benchmark, which is slightly higher than other phones powering the same chipset. This is primarily because OnePlus has revealed that it will be using a customized Dimensity 1200 in the phone, which will be AI-boosted.
OnePlus has made it clear that the upcoming Nord 2 will be the first device to feature an integrated codebase with ColorOS. Interestingly, the entire UI won’t change, in fact, there won’t be any noticeable changes in the user interface and users will get the same old speed and fluidity in day-to-day usage.
The Chinese tech giant has also confirmed that the phone will be running OxygenOS v11.3 based on Android 12. And, it will be getting only two major Android updates.
Color variants of the Nord 2 5G
A renowned tipster named Ishan Agarwal recently shared high-resolution renders of the OnePlus Nord 2, and it seems to come in three colors – Blue Haze, Gray Sierra, and Green Woods.
The OnePlus Nord 2 is reported to start at ₹31,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, whereas, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant will likely cost you ₹34,999. This would be a major price hike from the predecessor’s ₹24,999 starting price.
Once the phone is unveiled on July 22, we can expect it to go on sale by the end of this month.
A few months ago, Google launched its second true wireless earphones in the market — Pixel Buds A which carries a starting price of $99.99. Google was expected to launch a premium offering, a successor to the Pixel Buds 2 but instead, the company announced an affordable variant in the form of Pixel Buds A.
Now, the technology giant has stopped selling the original Pixel Buds, its first true wireless earphones in the market. The company is yet to confirm the discontinuation through an official statement but the product has disappeared from the company’s online store in the United States, confirming the development.
And not only Google’s online store, but the Pixel Buds are also not available for purchase through other stores like Best Buy. However, there’s a refurbished version of the headset available for purchase but it’s carrying a hefty price tag.
It will be interesting to see what Google has planned for its upcoming true wireless earphones to compete against the likes of Apple AirPods 3 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. We expect the search engine giant to launch a successor to the Pixel Buds pretty soon with some premium features like Active Noise Cancellation.
The Google Pixel Buds A comes in two color options — Clearly White and Dark Olive. It comes with features like Adaptive Sound and can automatically adjust the volume to fit your surroundings. There are touch-based controls for answering calls and control playback by simply tapping on the buds. The earbuds are rated IPX4, so you don’t have to worry about rain or sweat. The battery life is around 5 hours (2.5 hours for calls) and goes up to 24 hours with the charging case.
Update: A fresh leak by the same tipster has revealed that the V2141A Vivo phone will launch as the iQOO 8. It will be equipped with a screen that offers 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution, Snapdragon 888 Plus, 12 GB RAM + 4 GB virtual RAM, and 256 GB storage, OriginOS 1.0 based Android 11 OS. Some of these specs are mentioned on the leaked screenshot shared by the leaker.
Original story follows…
An iQOO official released a teaser video to hint that the company will be holding an unveiling event in China on Aug. 4. It also hinted that it may announce the iQOO 8 series on the said date. A new Weibo post by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station reveals what to expect from the iQOO 8 lineup.
The tipster claimed that the iQOO 8 series could be powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset. As it is known, the SD888+ that offers up to 3GHz processing speeds is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 888 that max out at 2.84GHz. It remains to be seen whether the company manages to launch the iQOO 8 is the world’s first phone powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus chip.
He added that as compared to the previous generation, the iQOO 8 series will offer users a larger display and better fast charging capabilities. Unfortunately, he did not share specific information on the innards of the iQOO 8.

V2130A CMIIT
V2133A CMIIT
V2141A CMIIT
Recently, a couple of new Vivo phones such as V2130A, V2133A, and V2141A were spotted in the database of the CMIIT authority. Probably, these models may belong to the upcoming iQOO 8 series and the Vivo X70 lineup. Hopefully, newer reports will confirm the identities of these models in the coming days.
iQOO 8 is expected to replace the Snapdragon 888 powered iQOO 7 that debuted at the beginning of this year. It came with specs like a 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, a 4,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 48-megapixel triple camera unit.
Smartphone manufacturers have been focusing on the fast charging technology for their premium devices for the past few years and it seems that the development in this direction isn’t going to stop anytime soon.
OPPO has been one of the leading players when it comes to fast-charging technology and the company has today announced that it has another major development in mobile charging technology. The Chinese company has confirmed through a poster that details about the same will be revealed on 22nd July.
In the poster shared by OPPO on Weibo, it reads: “From 22.5W to 125W, can mobile phone charging only get faster and faster?” It also adds that the company will talk about something other than “fast.”
Last year, OPPO had unveiled its 125W Super Flash Charging Technology that can charge a 4,000mAh battery-powered smartphone up to 41 percent within five minutes and can fully charge the device in 20 minutes.
The technology is built on the existing 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging protocol. The VOOC charging protocol has always focused on increasing the current (instead of the voltage) to increase the total wattage. It is also compatible with the previous versions like SuperVOOC and VOOC protocols.
While the technology was announced last year, the company is yet to incorporate this fast charging solution in its smartphones and the upcoming announcement could be related to that. Recently, ‘Digital Chat Station’ had revealed that the OPPO 125W Super Fast Charging Technology is undergoing reliability and aging tests at the Huizhou factory.
Are we finally getting the 125W fast charging support in a commercial smartphone? To know for sure, we will have to wait for the official event on 22nd July which is just a few days away. So, stay tuned!
Back in May, OPPO teased a smartwatch during the Reno6 launch event in China. Several details of the OPPO Watch 2 had also appeared on Weibo around the same time. Today, the company released a poster to reveal that the OPPO Watch 2 will be announced at 3 PM (local time) on July 27 in China.
The launch poster does not reveal anything about the specifications and features of the Watch 2. In May, XDA Developers had revealed that model numbers such as OW20W3 and OW20W1 belong to the 46mm edition of the Watch 2. It also mentioned that the 46mm variant will arrive in three colors like Dust Gray, Mine Shaft, and Steel Blue.
It further revealed that the model number OP20W2 model number belongs to the smaller 42mm variant. This model is expected to arrive in colors like Mine Shaft, Gold Sand, Water Leaf, and Matisse.
The OPPO Watch from last year was the company’s first device in the smartwatch market. It was powered by the Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip, and it ran on Wear OS in global markets. In China, it came with ColorOS.
As far as the Watch 2 is concerned, it is expected to arrive with the newer Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC and an Apollo 4s secondary chip. While its global version is likely to run on Wear OS, its Chinese edition could be running on an OS based on Android 8.1. The Watch 2 may offer 16 GB of native storage, which is twice more than its predecessor model.
The Watch 2 is likely to sport a square-shaped dial like its predecessor. It is expected to offer features like new watch faces, a stress detection function, a new OPPO Relax app, and LTE support through e-SIM. The company is also said to be working on a smartwatch called the OPPO Watch Free, but nothing much is known about it.
Apple is expected to unleash the iPhone 13 series in September this year. Since the launch is not too far away, the rumor mill is actively leaking information on the next-generation iPhones. Fresh information that has emerged on DigiTimes does not talk about the iPhone 13 lineup, but the next generation iPhone SE arriving next year. Recently, well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that the iPhone SE will be equipped with an updated processor. The new report also supports this claim and mentions that it may launch in the first half of 2022.
The new report states that the Cupertino-based firm is now hiring chip probing specialists through its partner Xintec. While Xintec is known as a subsidiary of TSMC, it has been supplying components to Apple since the time it launched the first iPhone SE back in 2016.
iPhone SE 3 concept renders
The iPhone SE 2022 (or the iPhone SE 3) is expected to feature an Apple A14 Bionic processor that fueled the iPhone 12 series last year. The company is expected to advertise as the most affordable 5G-ready iPhone.
Probably, there will not be any major design on the third-generation iPhone SE. Hence, it may continue to sport a 4.7-inch display with thick bezels and the good old Touch ID sensor. The other details of the device are under wraps.
The iPhone SE 2020 has a 4.7-inch IPS LCD screen that offers 750 x 1334 pixels, an Apple A13 Bionic chip, 3 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and a 1,821mAh battery. For photography, it has a 7-megapixel selfie camera and a 12-megapixel rear camera with OIS support. It was introduced with a pricing of $399.

Xiaomi is expected to announce the Mi Pad 5 series of tablets in August. Probably, the company may announce the new tablets along with the Mi C11, Mi MIX 4, and the MIUI 13 in the coming month. A poster of the tablet has appeared on Weibo to reveal its design and key specs.
The poster reveals that the Mi Pad 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 860, which is the same chip that fuels the POCO X3 Pro smartphone. The back panel of the tablet seems to be equipped with a pair of cameras and an LED flash.
The front view of the Mi Pad 5 shows that it is equipped with ultra-thin bezels, which seems too good to be true for a tablet. The screen supports a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
According to a recent leak, the company may announce the Mi Pad 5 variant featuring the Snapdragon 870 chipset first. This model is expected to arrive with a 48-megapixel main camera and is likely to carry support for 67W fast charging.
The variant featuring the Snapdragon 860 may arrive a bit later. It is expected to house a 12-megapixel primary camera and a much slower 22.5W rapid charging tech. Both models are likely to come equipped with an 11-inch (10.95-inch) display. It is speculated that a new Xiaomi device with model number 2017119DC that has approval from the TENAA authority recently could be one of the Mi Pad 5 series tablets.
Rumors have it that Xiaomi may announce the Mi MIX 4 flagship phone in China in August along with other products like the MIUI 13, Mi CC11, and Mi Pad 5. Well ahead of the launch, a tipster from China has leaked the key specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi flagship.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 specifications (Rumored)
The leak reveals that the Mi MIX 4 will be sporting a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with curved edges, Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset, and a 5,000mAh battery. The OLED screen will come integrated with an in-display selfie camera.
The Mi MIX 4 is expected to arrive with support for 120W rapid charging and 70W or 80W fast wireless charging. The back panel of the phone will have a triple camera setup led by a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1s camera.
Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha concept phone

The Mi MIX 4 is expected to weigh around 226 grams. Readers are advised to digest the leak with a grain of salt as its authenticity could not be confirmed.
A recent leak claimed that the Mi MIX 4 will be able to offer a truly full-screen experience as its in-display camera will not be visible to the naked eye. The Mi MIX 4’s screen could be a custom-made panel that will deliver a unique viewing experience. It is believed that the M2016118C device that has popped in the database of China’s TENAA certification site could be the next Mi MIX series. The flagship is likely to be priced around 6,000 Yuan (~$924).

There have been reports that Sony’s Xperia 1 III flagship will receive only one OS update. The news has spread like wildfire and Sony has received backlash. It turns out that isn’t the case and the Japanese manufacturer has clarified the matter.
In a statement to GSMArena, Sony said the info about the Xperia 1 III receiving only one Android OS upgrade and two years of security patch is incorrect. It clarified that the flagship will be supported for two years and it plans to update the OS more than once during the period.
We can deduce from Sony’s statement that the Xperia 1 III will receive Android 12 and Android 13. However, the chance for an Android 14 update is slim as software support for the device will likely have ended by the time the new OS update arrives.
Sony’s statement reaffirms that its software support hasn’t improved especially for its flagships considering competitors such as Samsung and OnePlus will be offering three OS upgrades for their own flagships. Samsung will even offer four years of security updates for several of its phones.
The Xperia 1 III costs $1299 and will go on sale in August since it was announced back in April. It has a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a Snapdragon 888 processor under its hood along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.
Cameras are one of the highlights of the phone. The main rear camera is a 12MP f/2.2 sensor and it brings along a 12MP ultrawide angle camera and a 12MP variable telephoto camera. There is also an iTOF 3D camera for accurate and fast autofocus. There are tons of camera features built into the camera app and even a dedicated shutter button on the side. The front-facing camera is an 8MP sensor.
Audio is another strong suit of the phone. It has an audio jack, front-facing stereo speakers with 360° Reality Audio, and Spatial Sound. Sony will ship orders with a free pair of its WF-1000XM3 wireless noise-canceling earbuds.
There is a 4500mAh battery inside the phone and it supports fast charging. Users will be able to charge the battery up to 50% in 30 minutes. There is also wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. One neat feature the phone has is that when playing games and you have your charging cable plugged in, rather than charge the battery and cause the device to heat up, the system draws power from the adapter.
Other features are an IPX5/IPX8 water-resistant rating, IP6X dustproof rating, dual SIM hybrid, Gorilla Glass Victus on the front, and Gorilla Glass 6 on the rear, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6.
Mobvoi keeps expanding its product portfolio with new categories. The manufacturer which is best known for its TicWatch line of smartwatches has added earphones, a security camera, a treadmill, and a smart light to its lineup. Now, its latest product is an AI recorder.
The Mobvoi AI Recorder is a portable recorder that features an AI-powered transcription technology that can convert recorded conversations into editable and shareable text. Mobvoi says it will even break long speeches up into paragraphs and that the accuracy rate is as high as 94% “in a normal situation”.
Using Neural Machine Translation, the recorder will also create a transcript summary and extract keywords in the conversation. Users will be able to make corrections to the transcript while listening to the recording via a special website. The transcripts can be exported in various common formats.
Mobvoi says the recorder uses a dual-microphone noise cancellation technology and an advanced AGC algorithm to reduce background noise.
The Mobvoi AI Recorder has 16GB of storage which can provide 500 hours of recording. Users also get 200 hours of free cloud storage space. There is a 300mAh built-in battery that will provide up to 10 hours of recording time and up to 40 days in standby mode. It has a USB-C port and connects via Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi, though the latter is recommended for transfer because it is faster. Supported audio formats are OGG and MP3.
The recorder is already available for purchase on Mobvoi’s website for $99. It comes in gray, weighs 20 grams, and can easily fit in your pocket.

The Mi Walkie-Talkie was first launched in 2017 and won the Japanese Good Design award that year. The Good Design award, together with the iF Design award, the Red Dot award, and the IDEA award, are known as the four major global design awards. Xiaomi followed up with the MIJIA Walkie-Talkie 1S in October 2018. In April 2019, the company updated the lineup with the Mijia Walkie-Talkie 2. Xiaomi’s Mi Walkie-Talkie Lite was the last model launched in September 2020. The core quality of the products include their affordable pricing and a minimalist yet sleek design. The prices range from 129 yuan (~$20) to 449 yuan (~$69).
