A new report has revealed that Apple might be planning on further exploring with its iPads lineup of tablets. Currently, the 12.9 inch iPad Pro variant is the largest iPad available at the moment, but this could soon change as the company might be looking to release future iPads with larger screens.
According to a 9To5Macreport, Mark Gurman recently stated that new iPad screen size might be arriving in the near future. The known Apple analyst stated that the iPhone maker is still exploring with its iPads. The Cupertino based giant is rumored to be developing a redesigned iPad chasis with a rear glass cover for 2022, which is expected to ship in the existing 11 inch and 12.9 inch display sizes.
Furthermore, Gurman also speculated that the larger screens might even further make it harder to differentiate the company’s tablets and laptops. In other words, with the productivity based capabilities of the iPad rising, Apple might launch larger screen variants to further supplement the tablets multitasking and productive functionalities that could rival MacBooks. As of right now, the 16 inch MacBook model is the largest laptop offering from the company.
Interestingly, the inclusion of a glass back cover on upcoming iPad models would also imply the arrival of wireless charging for the first time. This could also have the iPad also support reverse wireless charging as well. Unfortunately, this is still an unconfirmed report so take this news with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates regarding this matter.

Ren Zhengfei, the founder of Huawei Technologies, has told the company’s employees to learn from the United States. The official said in a newly published speech that the firm has to remain open and learn to continue to grow in the international markets.
According to a SCMPreport, the senior executive of the Chinese tech giant made the statement despite the US having applied pressure through various sanctions on the company. Ren Zhengfei made this statement in a company forum back in May 2021. This speech was published the brand’s internal online forum earlier this week. During this forum, the founder also answered questions from employee representatives.

Therefore, our insistence on globalization also includes the domestic market. We cannot be closed. We must stay open.”
The official added that the firm still needs to learn from the US since the country is flexible as well as stronger in both science and technology. Ren further added that “Just because the US is trying to suppress us does not mean we do not recognize it as a teacher. This will lead to isolation.” In other words, Huawei still aims on expanding its presence in the global market.
Nvidia has recently received support from three of the world’s largest chip makers that have expressed support for its deal to take over Arm. This deal was valued around 40 billion US Dollars and has also been under scrutiny.
According to a SCMPreport, the known graphics card maker has gotten a boost from MediaTek, Marvell Technology, and Broadcom Corp as well. These firms are also the first customers of the UK Based Arm to publicly support Nvidia’s takeover of the chip designer. For those unaware, the deal has come under fire recently over national security grounds as well as competition within the industry.
Furthermore, the news arrives as the UK Competition and Markets Authority has been gearing up to deliver a review that could oppose this acquisition deal. Previously, other tech giants like Qualcomm and Microsoft along with Google had also expressed their concerns with this takeover, stating that the company might raise prices for its rivals in the market. Arm is a major chip designer with its tech being sold to more than 500 companies across the globe. At the moment, the company is being sold by Japan’s SoftBank Group.

Ming-Chi Kuo a known analyst has just revealed a few interesting details regarding the upcoming Apple iPhone 13 series smartphone and future iPhones. He believes that the iPhone 13 Pro variant will sport an ultra wide angle lens that supports autofocus.
According to a 9To5Macreport, the analyst believes that this year’s iPhone 13 Pro’s ultra wide angle sensor will also arrive with autofocus. This is a change from the previous generation’s fixed focus, which doesn’t let users change focus to a particular object. In other words, the addition of an autofocus on the ultra wide angle lens would enable users to have more options when taking stills or videos.
Furthermore, the analyst also added that the ultra wide angle camera on the iPhone 13 Pro will also have six elements instead of just five. This would likely translate to the smartphone being capable of capturing better pictures or video recordings. Notably, Kuo claimed that while only the Pro model from this year will received the benefits of the autofocus on the ultra wide angle sensor, future iPhones starting from the next year will also receive this upgrade.
Meaning, the Cupertino based giant will bring the feature to all iPhone models in 2022. Keep in mind that this is still an unconfirmed report as of right now, so take this news with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this matter.

A new report has revealed that Huawei is increasing its efforts to become more self sufficient. While the US sanctions had cut off its chip supply from TSMC in the past, the company is now apparently seeking to set up its first chip production factory in China to offset the sanctions.
According to a DigiTimesreport (Via AsiaTimes), the Chinese tech giant is planning on building its first wafer fabrication manufacturing company in Wuhan, Hubei Province. This new ‘HiSilicon Factory’ is expected to begin the production in stages from next year. Furthermore, the report claimed that the factory will be used to produce optical communication chips and modules to gain self sufficiency and to manufacture microcircuit designs as well.
For those unaware, HiSilicon is Huawei’s chip designing subsidiary and is a fabless chip maker. In other words, while it has the capability to design advanced chips it used to contract TSMC for chip production. As per sources close to the matter, Huawei is set to invest 1.9 billion Yuan (roughly 278 billion US Dollars) in the Wuhan HiSilicon chip factory project, which will have it develop its own chipsets for smartphones and other IoT (internet of things) devices as well.
With the various US sanctions that have crippled its operations, Huawei and even China has been placing an emphasis on accelerating the development of domestic fabrication plants to localize the supply chain for its local tech firms. This would even have it reduce its reliance on foreign chipmakers as well. Although, keep in mind that this is just an unconfirmed report at the moment, so take it with a pinch of salt for now and stay tuned for more updates regarding this matter.
