WhatsApp has announced that its earlier decision to limit functions of the messaging app for those who don’t accept its controversial privacy policy has been overturned.
The info was revealed to The Verge and was confirmed by Android Central that it is not limited to users in India. The former quotes a statement by a company spokesman that said “given recent discussions with various authorities and privacy experts, we want to make clear that we will not limit the functionality of how WhatsApp works for those who have not yet accepted the update.”
However, WhatsApp says it will keep reminding users periodically although there are “no plans for these reminders to become persistent.”. It also revealed that the majority of users have accepted.
The Facebook-owned company had announced that its new policy will see more personal data shared with Facebook, though it clarified that it will only be messages sent to business accounts that may be stored on its servers.

Motorola already announced a Moto G Stylus phone early this year but that won’t be the only model planned for 2021. There will be a second device that will launch as the Moto G Stylus 5G, and now a press render of the device has surfaced on the web.
The render was posted on Twitter by Nils Ahrensmeier of TechnikNews and it shows the phone from all angles. As seen in the photo, the Moto G Stylus 5G will have a hole in the left corner of its display. The side bezels are pretty slim but the chin is thicker.
Motorola has gone with a camera design different from the model that launched earlier this year. While it still has four sensors, they are arranged in a way that reminds one of a cooker. The camera housing protrudes and there is a pill-shaped LED placed horizontally below the cameras. Motorola’s batwing logo sits in the middle and you can be sure there is a fingerprint scanner beneath it.
Motorola Moto g Stylus 5G (US only), it's the one @OnLeaks released in January and everyone was confused. Has decent Storage (256 GB) pic.twitter.com/LCaZ15vtwM
The Moto G Stylus 5G has an audio jack at the bottom alongside a USB-C port, a speaker grille, and the silo for the stylus. The top of the phone is bare.
According to the source, this is the Motorola device codenamed “denver” and according to earlier reports, it will be powered by a Snapdragon 480 5G processor. This is Qualcomm’s entry-level 5G chipset and we have seen it appear in phones as the OPPO A74 5G, Vivo’s revised Y52s, and HMD Global’s Nokia X10 and Nokia X20.
The phone is said to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage but it has also been revealed that there will be a 256GB version. We expect this variant to have at least 6GB of RAM.
For the cameras, it has been revealed that the primary camera is a 48MP sensor and it comes along with an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a 16MP sensor.
The Moto G Stylus 5G will be exclusive to the US according to Nils but we won’t put it past Motorola to announce it in another market under a different name. When the launch will happen is still unknown but if you want a budget 5G phone with a stylus, then you may want to hold on for this one.

Samsung has been developing foldable display technology in recent years, as highlighted by its patents in this area. A recent patent listing at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) shows that the company was working on a design titled ‘Method and device for providing (a) user interface in (an) electronic device having foldable display’. The patent was published on May 21, 2021, and gives an insight into the possible usage scenarios of such a multi-foldable device.
Earlier on, the same design was patented at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The patenting information has now yielded some renders of the device, which are pretty illuminating. Editor-in-Chief at Yanko Design, Sarang Sheth, has provided some pretty hi-res renders of the Galaxy Z Fold Tab (via LetsGoDigital), using the details contained in the Patent. There is no need for a cover display in the device because of its foldable design. The device’s name is not yet clear, although it could be named Galaxy Z Fold Tab or Galaxy Z Flex, which is in line with the naming convention used in the foldable Samsung 2-in-1 laptop. The Galaxy Z Fold Tab is designed to operate both as a smartphone and a tablet, with a decent form factor resulting from its minimal folding mechanism. The design of the Z Fold tablet also incorporates a position for the S Pen, which could be more efficient in the model.
Foldable technology holds much promise, as several OEMs are pursuing active research along such a line. Recently Huawei and Xiaomi have released affordable foldable-display smartphones to the Chinese market.
However, Samsung will have to decide whether this device is worthy of being released into the tablet market and its market viability. The Galaxy Unpacked event slated for August 2021 will provide further perspective on the possible trajectory of the new foldable device.
Xiaomi has launched the Tinymu Smart Toilet Cover Pro-H Version under crowdfunding in China. The smart toilet seat is a trimmed version of the Tinymu Smart Toilet Seat Cover AI version with XiaoAI Assistant that was released in 2018. The new Pro-H version starts at 999 yuan (~$157) excluding the filter element and installation while the smart toilet seat with two filter elements and installation is priced at 1299 yuan (~$204).
The Pro-H version of the Tinymu Smart Toilet Cover has the capability of electrolyzing the water with the addition of hypochlorous acid which can sterilize efficiently, more than 99% against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Thus, it can effectively block fecal-oral transmission, making the toilet truly clean. The sterile water also can be automatically restored to natural water, making it environmentally friendly.
Each time the toilet lid is opened, it will automatically start the pre-wetting function. During this phase, there is multi-directional automatic spraying of water mist to moisten the inner wall surface of the toilet to prevent dirt from adhering to the surface when flushing.
The smart toilet seat cover supports 8 cleaning modes. These include Menstrual care, Spa, Children’s cleaning, Women’s cleaning, Buttocks cleaning, Massage cleaning, Reciprocating cleaning, and Selection cleaning. Most children cannot use the washing function normally because of their small buttocks. The one-key operation of this product is specially designed for children and can be used without being seated.
After the flushing is completed, the Tinymu Pro-H supports four-block warm air, which are room temperature, 40°C, 45°C, and 50°C, with a four-block seat ring for temperature adjustment, which is suitable for all seasons.
You can start the deodorization function by yourself when you sit down. The activated carbon is combined with a catalyst deodorant, and then a fan is used to ventilate the room so that it smells fresh when someone else wants to use the loo.
In terms of design, the Tinymu Smart Toilet Cover Pro-H adopts a new slim design with smooth lines. It packs a remote sensor at the side for remote control operation. Further, the seat is said to be compatible with 95% of mainstream toilets in the market. It can be adapted to arc, wall-mounted, and small toilets.
The product is presently up for backing on Xiaomi Youpin. It will start shipping in June.

The Huawei Watch 3 series is set to launch along with the company’s proprietary HarmonyOS (also known as HongMengOS in China). But just prior to its official announcement, images of the wearable have leaked, showcasing the device running the new OS.
These images were spotted by ITHome, which found that a number of bloggers on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website, have shared these images on the platform. The images of the wearables are allegedly for the Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro that was taken in an offline store. The design of the Watch series is somewhat minimalistic but with a sleek and classy look. Notably, the images of the packaging box have also been observed and it sports the phrase “Powered by HarmonyOS.” One image showcases the home screen of the device, which displays the time, date, and direct shortcuts to certain apps.
Similarly, the notifications can also be seen with alerts for missed calls and messages from the WeChat app. The leaked images also showcase the readings for what appears to be a SpO2 monitoring system that would track the users’ blood oxygen levels. This has been a rumored feature for the device.
