Apple‘s first foldable iPhone is shaping up to be one of the company’s most ambitious hardware projects in years. While Apple has yet to confirm its plans, a new leak suggests the device could feature a vapor chamber, designed to keep temperatures under control during demanding tasks.
According to Weibo tipster Fixed Focus Digital, development of the alleged iPhone Ultra is progressing rapidly, and prototypes have already been sent to global carriers for testing.
The foldable is expected to deliver surprisingly strong thermal performance despite its ultra-thin design. Earlier reports have suggested the device could measure roughly 4.5mm to 5mm when unfolded.
The use of a vapor chamber would help address that challenge. Apple already brought the technology to the iPhone 17 Pro series. Bringing it to a foldable makes sense, as the larger display will likely encourage multitasking.
The tipster also repeats earlier claims that Apple will use a liquid metal hinge. The material is said to offer better durability and flexibility than conventional hinge components, while potentially helping reduce the appearance of the display crease. Previous reports have pointed to a folded thickness of around 9mm to 9.5mm.
Although foldable devices remain a relatively new category, Apple appears determined to avoid some of the compromises previously seen in rival products. A fresh leak today revealed the rear camera specs of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. The device is rumored to feature a 200MP main and a 200MP telephoto lens. Alongside these camera modules will be a display that Xiaomi first introduced with the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max. This has already been confirmed.
A Weibo tipster known as Smart Pikachu has now revealed details about the rear display on the Xiaomi 18 Pro models, and the specifications sound promising.
According to the leak, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will feature a 4-inch rear display, a massive jump from the 2.7-inch secondary screen found on the Xiaomi 17 Pro.

That alone would be a significant upgrade, but the tipster goes further, claiming the display will offer high brightness, a high pixel density (PPI), large rounded corners, and built-in privacy protection.
If true, it will be a clear evolution from last year’s model. The Xiaomi 17 Pro‘s rear display measured 2.7 inches and featured a resolution of 572 × 904 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.
A 4-inch panel would provide significantly more space for features Xiaomi has already introduced on the current model, including live translation, teleprompter mode, and interactive widgets.
Xiaomi is reportedly evolving the rear display into an AI-powered smart window, enabling more dynamic and context-aware interactions rather than serving as a simple auxiliary screen. A larger, brighter display with improved color accuracy would make that vision far more practical.

Caviar, the customization company known for modifying Apple devices with materials like dinosaur bone and meteorite, has a new project. The brand has announced the Masters of Time collection, a series of heavily modified iPhone 17 Pro Max devices designed to physically house high-end Swiss watches in their back panels.
Design Details
Instead of just gluing a watch face to the phone, Caviar has actually built a quick-release mounting system into the chassis. The company calls it the Watch Vault. It’s a mechanical latching system that uses a short-thread ring to lock a compatible watch into the back of the phone. According to Caviar, you don’t need any tools to use it; you just twist a lever, and the watch pops out so you can attach it to a standard strap and wear it on your wrist.
To keep the metal watch cases from getting scratched, the inside of the phone’s mounting cavity is lined with a soft protective material. If you decide to wear the watch rather than keep it in the phone, Caviar includes a decorative metal plate, like a silver cover etched with an astrolabe design, that snaps into the empty slot so the phone doesn’t just have a gaping hole in the back.
Celestial
The collection is launching with two primary, single-edition models. The first is the Celestial, which is built around a Patek Philippe Celestial. The phone’s modified body is made of 18-karat white gold, blue enamel, diamonds, and a piece of Muonionalusta meteorite. The second model, the Portugieser, holds an IWC Portugieser Tourbillon Mystère Squelette. Its chassis features white gold, hand-engraving, and a mix of white diamonds and orange sapphires meant to match the watch’s exposed tourbillon.

Naturally, the pricing reflects the materials and the target demographic. The white gold Celestial model is priced at $215,360. There is a relatively cheaper titanium option designed for an Omega watch that starts at $49,640. It’s a niche product for a very specific type of collector, assuming they are okay with the added weight of carrying a mechanical watch vault in their pocket.
Huawei has started rolling out a new software update for the Huawei Pura X Max foldable smartphone. The latest HarmonyOS 6.1.0.125 SP13 update arrives with a package size of around 1.67GB and introduces several new features, including a limited-time camera watermark, theme enhancements, 3D visual effects, and a new single-app volume adjustment tool.

According to DCS’ latest Weibo post, one smartphone sub-brand under a major Chinese manufacturer has already decided to advance the launch of its next flagship to the third quarter of 2026. While the tipster did not name the brand, it is believed that he may be referring to the Redmi K100 series. In an earlier post, DCS had suggested that the next-generation K100 lineup could arrive ahead of schedule in Q3.

The Baseus Bowie MC2 has an oval-shaped case with a slightly more premium fit and finish compared to competitors in the same price range. Although some people may not like the oval-shaped case, it is more pocketable than most of the competition and is one of the best cases for jeans.
While this kind of open-ear earclip fits almost all ear shapes, Baseus has still added some thoughtful design touches to make it even more comfortable. For example, the replaceable CloudComfort 2.0 air cushions. These cushions help distribute pressure across the contact area, minimizing any wearing discomfort.
In fact, their SGS and TUV comfort certifications are the best proof of just how comfortable they are. The box also includes two other sizes of spare cushions, so you can choose the perfect fit for your specific ear shape.
Wave-Pattern Ultra-Thin C-Ring also makes for a surprisingly secure and comfortable fit. The C-Ring uses a memory titanium alloy that keeps the clamping force to a minimum. Sound
The Bowie MC2 uses 11mm dynamic drivers with metallic diaphragms, in addition to upgraded BISA special audio. Last year’s Inspire series featured tuning expertise learned from a collaboration with Bose, and that same technology has been packed into the MC2’s SuperBass 3.0. It also supports Hi-Res and LDAC codecs. And since the Bowie MC2 is recommended by a Grammy-winning audio professional, you know the audio DNA of this earclip is already solid.
The overall sound signature is V-shaped with good resolution and a surprising amount of depth. The bass is full-bodied, and the subbass is present with a moderate roll-off below 80 Hz. The bass is not boomy or bloated, and the vocals are clear. And clearly, it’s highly capable when it comes to vocal-heavy pop music. It may not perform quite like the flagship Inspire XC1, but the overall sound quality comes pretty close to top-tier models and is highly competitive for the price.
The Baseus app has several sound profiles and a customizable 8-band equalizer. You can create your own custom sound profile with the equalizer. For me, the default setting is easily the best overall choice, and it’s the one I use the most during my daily testing. Overall, the Bowie MC2 produces a full-bodied V-shaped sound with great resolution and depth.
Calls
In the video at the beginning of our article, there’s a call test — you can click to listen for yourself. To me, the call quality is pretty good. In theory, the 4-Mic Call Clarity and Smart Awareness help with ambient noise reduction and provide better-than-average call quality regardless of the background noise. Again, Bluetooth 6.0 allows for an excellent range from your phone.
Connectivity
A small button on the top side of each earbud controls all functions. With a little practice, all the functions are easy to master. Bluetooth 6.0 allows for a strong connection despite multiple walls and is a notable improvement over Bluetooth 5.0 devices I have tested. Latency was quite low and worked well for watching YouTube videos. For gaming, low-latency mode is accessible through the Baseus app.
Dual-Device connection should be standard on every pair of earbuds by now, but I still want to give it a quick mention. The Bowie MC2 does a great job with this; even when connecting between an iPhone and a MacBook, it delivers a switching experience that is just as seamless as AirPods.
Battery life

After carrying it on a five‑day trip to Japan and capturing over a thousand photos, I came to fully appreciate just how impressive its strengths really are. That said, I also discovered quite a few weaknesses. So let’s dive into the sample shots and break down the camera performance of the Find X9 Ultra.

Master Mode
Since Master Mode tends to reduce shutter time, photos often come out slightly underexposed. Combined with vignetting and lighter post-processing, the results look more cinematic. Shots taken at dusk also appear much closer to what your eyes actually see, while the default mode makes it feel like the sun never went down. The downside, however, is that exposure can sometimes be pushed too low, turning sunny days into scenes that look overcast.
As for the default mode, its characteristics are very aggressive HDR, heavy sharpening, and highly saturated colors. Well, sometimes it really does make your photos look better, like sharper details and higher dynamic range. But it depends on the scene, and sometimes it completely ruins the shot. For example, the excessive HDR processing can make daytime photos look flat, and even the sun no longer feels blinding.
At night, shadow areas may also exhibit slight color artifacts.
Based on my experience of taking over a thousand photos, I still recommend using Master Mode for daily shooting, and only switching back to the default mode when the scene doesn’t suit it. Because honestly, after looking at too many high-contrast and over-sharpened photos, it really feels like they’re assaulting my eyes. So, unless otherwise specified, every photo shown was taken using Master Mode.
23mm
Although the sensor has become smaller and the glass elements is gone, the actual image quality has not regressed. You can still take photos with an extremely shallow depth of field. Though sometimes a shallow depth of field is not necessarily a good thing, especially when shooting food.
Thankfully, this time the main camera is 200MP, so OPPO added a new option in the Find X9 Ultra: High Resolution mode. Once enabled, under good lighting conditions, the photos you take will be 28MP. This allows the camera to fully take advantage of the high-resolution sensor.
Well, there’s honestly not much else to say. This main camera is simply one of the best cameras available right now, and it can reliably capture what you want in almost any situation.
For example, the photo was taken in an environment where I could barely see anything with my own eyes. Under conditions like that, only the main camera could capture the black cat walking by at night.
230mm
Because this new 10x optical telephoto lens requires light to go through five reflections before reaching the sensor, theoretically, its optical quality was never going to be amazing. And in practice, that’s exactly the case. If you zoom in and inspect any photo taken with this lens, you can almost always find red or green outlines appearing around object edges.
Since chromatic aberration exists, spherical aberration naturally exists as well. Simply put, the image just doesn’t look sharp enough. And if you’re using Master Mode, the photos can end up looking like they have a soft diffusion filter applied. So it’s obvious that the bottleneck of this camera is not the sensor, but the lens itself. Compared to the Samsung S23 Ultra, this telephoto camera only wins by a very narrow margin in image quality.
The scenarios where this high-resolution sensor truly shines are cloudy weather or scenes beyond 230mm. Without harsh lighting, the aberration issues become much less noticeable. And thanks to In-Sensor Zoom, it can extend to 460mm, making bird photography barely usable as well. Even though I complained quite a bit about the aberration problems earlier, realistically, if you don’t zoom in, you probably won’t notice them at all. And once the photos are uploaded to social media, nobody will notice those tiny flaws anyway. In reality, I’m still pretty satisfied with this lens. It may not be perfect, but it genuinely allows me to capture more distant scenery.
Have you ever thought about this question: under what circumstances would you even photograph such distant objects in pitch-black darkness? So even though it does perform better than Samsung at night, I honestly think that advantage is meaningless.
70mm
Between the ultra-long telephoto camera and the main camera, OPPO chose a 200MP sensor as the transition camera. But with an aperture this large, calling it a “transition camera” doesn’t really feel appropriate. In fact, out of all four cameras, this one is my favorite. With its massive sensor size and huge aperture, this is the best 70mm camera ever made on a smartphone.
Just like the main camera, it delivers professional camera-level background blur. At 6x zoom, image sharpness drops slightly, but it’s still acceptable. Most telephoto cameras struggle badly at night, but the Find X9 Ultra does not. This camera can still produce satisfying results after dark.
For example, in this photo taken at dusk, both the white house nearby and the signal tower in the distance remain incredibly sharp. Just like the main camera, I genuinely cannot find anything to complain about with this 70mm camera. It is simply one of the best smartphone cameras ever made.
14mm
The ultra-wide camera is slightly better than the one on the Find X8 Ultra, but compared to the other three cameras, it feels pretty bad. Purple fringing is quite severe. Even without backlighting, you can still spot purple edges once you zoom into the corners of the image. And if you combine backlighting with scenes full of high-frequency detail, the results become downright terrible. This once again proves that the bottleneck, just like the 10x telephoto camera, lies in the lens rather than the sensor.
At night, the gap between this camera and its siblings becomes even larger. Besides the obvious loss in sharpness, the lack of OIS also dramatically increases the number of blurry shots. The only solution is to take multiple photos and hope one of them comes out sharp.
Although this ultra-wide camera drags the whole system down, I can understand OPPO’s decision. During my trip, only about 1/10 of my photos were actually taken with this camera. Even when facing extremely grand scenery, the main camera’s 23mm focal length was already wide enough. Sacrificing the ultra-wide camera in exchange for more space for the telephoto system was honestly a smart decision.
Photography Kit
Unfortunately, OPPO’s photography kit and teleconverter are not sold separately this time. If you want them, you’ll have to spend nearly $1800, together with the 1TB version of the phone. I’m not rich, so I didn’t buy it, but I did get some hands-on experience with the kit at an OPPO offline store. My first impression was this: compared to practicality, it gives you far more emotional value.
Although the teleconverter is only 300mm, it is physically larger and longer than vivo’s 400mm one. The grip and phone case are integrated together, but the grip itself is very shallow, making it difficult to hold such a heavy phone securely. The only buttons are the shutter key and zoom lever, and it connects via Bluetooth. There’s no doubt that the design is ahead of both Xiaomi and vivo, but in terms of practicality, it also unquestionably ranks last.
Considering the Find X9 Ultra already has a 230mm camera, and the global version could potentially exceed $2000, I’d still recommend saving your money for the hardships of life instead.

Every clip was recorded in 4K 30FPS, converted from O-Log2 back to Rec.709, without any color grading. I set the bitrate to the highest setting, so every clip basically exceeded 75Mbps. For a smartphone, this level of stabilization plus such clear image quality is already top-tier.
But there are still some flaws. For example, the telephoto camera occasionally shows slight jitter. And once again, this ultra-wide camera drags everything down. Not only does it still suffer from purple fringing, but its dynamic range is also noticeably weaker. Even enabling O-Log2 cannot recover the highlights.
At night, the image quality also drops dramatically, with noise dancing all over the screen. You can clearly see how massive the gap becomes once I switch back to the main camera. But aside from that, I’m still very satisfied with the video quality from the other cameras.
Verdict
In the past, whenever I traveled and wanted a full focal‑length photography experience, I had to carry a massive lens—bigger than this phone. Now, OPPO offers a much smarter alternative. The Find X9 Ultra is the first true all‑focal‑length smartphone I’ve ever seen. And for me, the essence of smartphone photography comes down to one word: convenience.
Even if its image quality can’t quite match a mirrorless camera, it lets you carry fewer lenses, climb higher mountains, travel to more places, and meet more people. That, to me, is the true essence of smartphone photography. And the Find X9 Ultra is the ultimate device that fully embodies that philosophy.
The handheld camera market is about to get a lot more crowded. Prominent Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared new details suggesting that both Oppo and Vivo are independently developing compact gimbal cameras, and the specs sound flagship, to say the very least.
Both devices are said to pack a 200MP sensor on a 1/1.12-inch imaging chip. The specs matches to that of Sony’s LYT-901 sensor, although the tipster hasn’t shared the exact sensor details.

Last week, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro flagship phones for the global market. Today, the brand held a dedicated launch event to unveil the Xiaomi 17T as well as the Xiaomi TV FX Mini LED series. The Xiaomi 17T features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2756 x 1268 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. The panel also supports a 480Hz touch sampling rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming. Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
For photography, the Xiaomi 17T sports a Leica-tuned triple-camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with OIS and a 115mm focal length, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera housed within the display cut-out.
Battery duties are handled by a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 67W HyperCharge, 50W PPS charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. The OnePlus 15, which debuted last year, is the only flagship smartphone to feature an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Reports suggest that the OnePlus 16, which is expected to arrive later this year, could push the refresh rate even higher to 185Hz. Now, a new Weibo post from tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that OnePlus may already be considering an even more ambitious display upgrade for future devices.
OnePlus continues to prioritize ultra-high refresh rates
According to the tipster’s post, OnePlus is expected to continue using 1.5K displays across its next-generation flagship smartphone lineup. The company is reportedly prioritizing ultra-high refresh rates, with plans to move from 165Hz to 185Hz and potentially up to 240Hz in future devices.
The tipster added that if 2K panels become capable of supporting such extremely high refresh rates without major compromises in power efficiency, performance or display quality, OnePlus could consider returning to 2K displays in future flagship models.
So far, 2K OLED panels on smartphones have generally topped out at 144Hz refresh rates. While the OnePlus 16 is expected to offer a 1.5K resolution and 185Hz refresh rate combination, it remains to be seen whether the OnePlus 17, which could arrive in 2027, may introduce a 2K + 185Hz or even a 2K + 240Hz display.
While such high refresh rates sound impressive on paper, they could be overkill for many users. In everyday tasks such as browsing, social media, video streaming and messaging, most people are unlikely to notice a significant difference compared to a standard 120Hz display.
However, the benefits could become more apparent in high-end gaming, where supported titles may deliver smoother animations, lower perceived input latency and more responsive gameplay, especially in fast-paced competitive genres such as first-person shooters and racing games.
As far as rival brands are concerned, OnePlus 16 competitors such as the Redmi K100 Pro series and iQOO 16 arriving later this year are also expected to feature refresh rates of up to 185Hz. With smartphone makers increasingly focusing on gaming and display performance, the race for higher refresh rates appears far from over.

Information shared by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests the company is streamlining its future product roadmap, with greater attention being given to smart glasses rather than expanding the Vision Pro family. The reported changes come ahead of a leadership transition at Apple later this year.

According to Kuo, incoming Apple CEO John Ternus has approved significant changes to Apple’s wearable strategy. The analyst claims that plans for a second-generation Vision Pro and a lighter Vision Air model have been shelved, leaving the company focused on two smart glasses projects currently under development.
One of these products is said to be a display-free AI smart glasses model designed to compete with offerings such as Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses. Kuo believes this device could arrive in 2027. The second product is a more advanced augmented reality glasses model equipped with optical waveguide technology that can overlay digital content onto the real world. That device is reportedly targeted for 2029 or later.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has offered a slightly different view. While he agrees that Apple discontinued several headset-related projects, he claims the company still has a Vision Pro 2 prototype in testing. However, the broader Vision headset category is said to be on hold, with any potential successor unlikely to arrive before the end of the decade.
The reported strategy reflects the wider industry’s growing interest in lightweight wearable devices that can be used throughout the day. Smart glasses are expected to be more affordable and practical than high-end mixed reality headsets, potentially making them attractive to a much larger audience.
While Apple’s long-term plans remain unconfirmed, both analysts agree that smart glasses now appear to be a key priority for the company. If the timelines prove accurate, Apple’s first AI-focused smart glasses could arrive in 2027, followed by advanced AR glasses a few years later.

According to the latest information, the Vivo X500 Pro Max’s engineering prototype is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony LOFIC primary camera featuring a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. While the tipster has not specified the exact sensor, it appears to be the upcoming Sony LYT-838.
The telephoto department is said to include a 200-megapixel periscope camera with an even larger 1/1.4-inch sensor, which could deliver significant improvements in zoom photography and low-light performance.
The ultra-wide camera is also reportedly under evaluation. The OnePlus Turbo 6X is coming very soon. OnePlus executive Li Jie Louis, in response to a comment in a post, has now confirmed that the phone will launch before June 18 in China.
According to a leak by tipster Experience More on Weibo, the OnePlus Turbo 6X will sport a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone will be the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor.
On the camera side, the phone is said to carry a 50MP rear camera using the OV50D sensor, paired with a 2MP secondary shooter. For selfies, there will be an 8MP front camera. These are modest but functional specs for the price segment the phone is targeting.
The Turbo 6X could, however, pack a large 7,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
Design-wise, the phone is said to have a plastic frame and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It could also come with an IP64 rating for protection against splashes and dust. Dimensions are said to be 165.85 x 75.85 x 8.55mm, with a weight of 208g.
