Best 8K Smart TVs to buy in India: Are they worth it?

Buying an 8K TV in 2026 is still a bit of a luxury. Most of the content you watch every day is available in 4K, so the jump to 8K is not as straightforward as it sounds. But if you are looking at a big-screen TV that’s future-proof and offers the best picture quality money can buy, 8K TVs are the way to go. While there aren’t many 8K TVs on the market, we have curated three best options you can consider in 2026.

How to choose an 8K TV in 2026

While there are a number of 8K TV options, there’s still very limited native 8K content to watch. That said, you should look for features such as AI upscaling, which can make lower-resolution content appear sharper on an 8K screen.

Mini-LED backlighting with local dimming is worth considering if you want better brightness and contrast, while OLED panels offer deeper blacks and more precise contrast.

For HDR content, check for support for formats such as Dolby Vision or HDR10+, depending on what you watch. If gaming is a priority, look for HDMI 2.1, VRR and high refresh rate support. These features will make a more noticeable difference to your viewing experience than the 8K resolution alone.

3 best 8K Smart TVs in India

Samsung QN800D Neo QLED 8K Smart TV

Samsung QN800D Neo TV

The Samsung QN800D is a more affordable alternative if you want an 8K Neo QLED TV. It uses Mini-LED backlighting, Samsung’s NQ8 AI Gen2 processor, and Neo Quantum HDR 8K+ for picture processing and HDR performance. It gets a 65-inch screen, and also supports 8K AI upscaling and refresh rates of up to 165Hz at 4K with compatible content, making it suitable for high-end gaming. Consider this model if you want an 8K TV without spending as much on Samsung’s flagship range. This one gets a 70W audio system, as compared to the more expensive QN900D’s 90W speaker setup.

Samsung QN900F Neo QLED 8K Smart TV

Samsung QN900F

The Samsung QN900F is a good option too, but its price has gone up, and the 75-inch model now costs over Rs 6 lakh. For that kind of price, you get an 8K Neo QLED TV with advanced picture processing and gaming features. It comes in 75-inch screen featuring a Neo QLED panel, Mini-LED backlighting, and Samsung’s NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, which uses AI upscaling to improve lower-resolution content. The TV also gets Quantum Matrix Technology Pro for backlight control and a Glare Free display to reduce reflections. With refresh rates of up to 165Hz at 4K on compatible PC hardware, it is also suited for gaming.

Samsung QN900D Neo QLED 8K Smart TV

Samsung QN900D Neo

If you want an 85-inch Samsung 8K TV, this QN900D is your option. It uses a Neo QLED panel with Mini-LED backlighting and Samsung’s NQ8 AI Gen3 processor for image processing and upscaling. It supports Quantum Matrix Technology Pro, Neo Quantum HDR 8K Pro, and Auto HDR Remastering. The TV also supports refresh rates of up to 240Hz at 4K with compatible PC hardware, making it an option for high-end gaming setups. At 8K, however, games are limited to 60Hz. It also gets a powerful 90W 6.2.4-channel speaker system.

Stock for these 8K TVs may be limited, so check availability both online and at your nearest retailer. You may also find better deals by comparing prices across stores.

Which is the most practical 8K TV in India?

The Samsung QN800D is the most practical and most value-for-money option, as it gets a large 8K Mini-LED panel with up to 165Hz refresh rate, features like AI upscaling, and a decent built-in audio setup.

Which is the best premium 8K TV?

The Samsung QN900D is the most premium 8K TV on this list, as it gets a whopping 85-inch Neo QLED display with Mini-LED backlighting that supports up to 240Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming.

Are 8K TVs worth buying in 2026?

8K TVs are worth considering for large-screen setups, but limited native 8K content makes a high-end 4K TV a better-value choice for most buyers. Also, 8K TVs are way too costly right now, hence considering a premium 4K TV is overall a better choice.

So, which of these 8K TVs would you pick? Or would you rather go for a premium 4K TV, especially with options across different display technologies, including Mini-LED, OLED and RGB LED? Let us know in the comments below.

iPhone Duo teardown reveals dual batteries and hinge design

Just days after Apple’s first foldable phone hit shelves, repair specialists have already cracked it open. Early teardown videos from channels like REWA Technology and Phone Repair Guru show a device that looks nothing like a regular iPhone on the inside. Apple clearly designed this one from the ground up around the folding form factor.

Internal view of the iPhone Duo showing the complex hinge and A20 Pro chip.

The biggest surprise is the dual-battery setup. There’s one cell in each half of the phone: a larger 2,962 mAh pack and a smaller 1,921 mAh one for a combined 4,883 mAh. Both are held down with electrically activated adhesive. Apply a low charge and the special glue releases, letting technicians lift the steel-cased batteries out cleanly. The phone keeps running if one battery is disconnected.

The logic board is a full redesign. The familiar stacked “sandwich” layout from recent iPhones is gone. The main board is smaller, with the A20 Pro chip sitting right next to 12 GB of RAM and touching a vapor chamber for better heat control under load. A secondary board connects the two halves through a flexible cable. The USB-C port is fully modular and held by just a couple of screws, so swapping it should be relatively straightforward. Rear cameras are also pretty accessible.

Getting to the foldable inner display is a different story. Technicians have to remove both the rear panel and the outer display before they can even reach the batteries and screen assembly. The inner OLED is locked down with a lot of adhesive and connected by delicate ribbon cables that also feed the under-display selfie cameras.

On top of the glossy layer sits a matte nano-textured film that helps hide the crease and cut glare, but it adds another layer of complexity. Replacing the spring-loaded hinge or the inner display itself looks like it’s going to be time-consuming and expensive.

Table showing estimated service costs for various iPhone Duo repair components in Indian Rupees.

Apple has already put out an official repair manual covering batteries, displays, the hinge, and the Touch ID button. Some parts, like the modular charging port, score well for serviceability. Others are still delicate and costly. Owners are being told to keep a protective case on the phone and seriously consider AppleCare+ or similar coverage, because screen or hinge repairs won’t be cheap.

Huawei Pura 100 Pro / Pro Max tipped to feature a wide-screen display

Huawei is lining up its next imaging flagship for the first half of 2027, and a fresh tip points to a clearer split across the Huawei Pura 100 series. The rumor centers on which models keep a conventional mid-size panel and which ones move to a wider layout. Tipster Digital Chat Station shared the update after looking at an engineering sample.

Huawei Pura 100 series display plans

Social media post from Digital Chat Station detailing Huawei Pura 100 series display specifications.

According to the tipster, Huawei had already been evaluating a widescreen option for its 2027 H1 imaging flagship lineup, which appears to be the Pura 100 lineup. The new leak suggests that the engineering prototype of the standard Pura 100 will stick with a 6.6-inch mid-size screen. In comparison, the standard Pura 90 has a bigger 6.8-inch display panel.

The new leak also suggests that the Huawei Pura 100 Pro and Pro Max will switch to a widescreen panel still measuring around 6.39 inches. That would frame the higher models as all-around widescreen imaging phones rather than taller candybar designs. To recall, the Pura 90 Pro came with a 6.6-inch display, whereas the Pro Max housed a 6.9-inch panel.

The Huawei Pura X View widescreen phone, which debuted in September this year, has a 6.39-inch display. It remains to be seen whether the Pura 100 Pro and 100 Pura Pro Max will inherit the same display.

Huawei-Pura-90-Pro-Max-Design

Pura remains Huawei’s camera-first family, so the screen change matters mainly as a canvas for photo and video work. Previous rumors have sketched ambitious camera ideas for the series, including a dual 200-megapixel setup, stronger zoom hardware, and DSLR-style external lens accessories. Similar teleconverter talk has also followed the Mate 90 Pro Max.

For now, the concrete claim is simple: a 6.6-inch standard model, and Pro / Pro Max units at roughly 6.39 inches in a widescreen shape aimed at becoming HarmonyOS’s first all-around widescreen imaging flagship. Would a wider Pura 100 Pro change how you shoot and edit on a phone?

One prioritizes flagship-class performance, gaming hardware, and exceptional battery endurance, while the other focuses on computational photography, clean Android software, and long-term updates. Both offer capable cameras and premium display technology, but their differences extend well beyond the usual flagship-versus-midrange divide. Choosing between them depends on whether raw hardware power and endurance matter more than photography, software support, and everyday convenience.

1. Design and Display

Build and Feel

The Honor Win RT emphasizes durability and performance with IP68/IP69K protection, scratch- and drop-resistant display glass, and a built-in cooling fan. Its dual Nano-SIM configuration also suits users who prefer two physical SIM cards. The Google Pixel 10a combines a Gorilla Glass 7i front, aluminum frame, and plastic back with IP68 protection. Its simpler construction feels more conventional, while the lighter overall design makes everyday handling more comfortable. Honor’s stronger water-jet protection and integrated cooling hardware give it a more specialized, performance-oriented identity.

Display Quality

Honor’s 6.83-inch AMOLED panel offers a 185Hz refresh rate, HDR Vivid, and a claimed 6,000-nit peak brightness, making it particularly appealing for gaming and fast-moving content. The Pixel 10a features a 6.3-inch P-OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000-nit peak brightness. Google’s screen remains sharp and responsive for everyday use, but Honor delivers a more immersive viewing experience with smoother motion and greater claimed peak brightness.

Verdict

The Honor Win RT wins for display quality, gaming-focused hardware, and rugged protection. The Pixel 10a is the more practical choice for users who prefer a compact, straightforward design.

2. Specifications Including Battery

Performance

The Honor Win RT runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, a flagship 3nm chipset paired with an Adreno 830 GPU. Configurations reach 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, backed by UFS 4.1. Its built-in cooling fan adds a useful advantage during extended gaming sessions. The Pixel 10a uses Google’s Tensor G4, supported by 8GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It handles everyday apps, photography, and AI-assisted features comfortably, but its hardware is less suited to demanding gaming. Honor offers substantially more performance headroom for power users.

Battery and Charging

Honor’s 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery is the standout feature, supported by 100W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. The enormous capacity should provide a considerable endurance advantage, particularly during gaming and travel. The Pixel 10a has a 5,100mAh battery, 30W wired charging, 10W wireless charging, and bypass charging. Wireless charging adds convenience, while bypass charging can help reduce battery stress during supported plugged-in gaming sessions. Nevertheless, Honor’s much larger battery and faster charging make it the stronger option for users who prioritize extended use.

Verdict

The Honor Win RT wins decisively on processing power, storage flexibility, battery capacity, and charging speed. The Pixel 10a counters with wireless charging and a longer software-update commitment.

3. Camera

Main and Secondary Lenses

The Honor Win RT combines a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a 12MP autofocus ultrawide camera. It supports 4K recording at up to 60fps, making it versatile for photography and video. The Pixel 10a uses a 48MP stabilized main camera and a 13MP ultrawide sensor. Google’s computational photography features, including Pixel Shift, Ultra HDR, and Best Take, give it an advantage in image processing and convenient photo editing. Although Honor offers a capable camera setup, the Pixel’s software-led approach is more appealing for users who want consistently polished everyday photographs.

Selfie Camera

Honor equips the Win RT with a 50MP front camera capable of recording 4K video at 60fps. That combination is attractive for creators who record detailed selfies, talking-head videos, or social media content. The Pixel 10a has a 13MP ultrawide selfie camera with 4K recording at 30fps and support for HDR and panorama. Its wider perspective suits group selfies, while Google’s image processing helps deliver natural-looking results. Honor has the stronger front-camera specifications, particularly for video flexibility, but the Pixel remains a compelling option for users who value straightforward, dependable photography.

Verdict

The Google Pixel 10a is the better overall photography choice thanks to Google’s computational imaging. The Honor Win RT wins on selfie resolution and front-camera video flexibility.

4. Pricing

The Honor Win RT is priced around $380 (₹35,000), positioning it as an aggressive option for buyers seeking flagship performance without flagship-level spending. Its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 10,000mAh battery, 100W charging, and advanced display make the hardware package particularly compelling.

The Google Pixel 10a is priced around $500 (₹50,000), placing it approximately $120 (₹15,000) higher. Its appeal rests on Google’s camera processing, clean Android experience, wireless charging, and promised seven major Android OS updates. Honor offers more raw hardware for the money, while Google’s pricing reflects its software and photography strengths.

Is the price justified?

The Honor Win RT offers better hardware value, especially for gamers and heavy users who benefit from its cooling fan, powerful chipset, and enormous battery. The Pixel 10a’s premium is easier to justify for buyers who prioritize photography, wireless charging, and long-term software support. Neither is universally better value, but Honor delivers considerably more performance-oriented hardware at a lower starting price.

Verdict

The Honor Win RT wins on price-to-hardware value, offering substantially stronger performance and battery specifications for less money. The Pixel 10a justifies its premium through software longevity and photography.

Disclaimer:
Prices are approximate and may vary based on country, region, launch timing, and applicable taxes. Always check whether the listed price is for a China unit or a global/international variant when purchasing.

5. Conclusion

The Honor Win RT stands out with its built-in cooling fan, 185Hz AMOLED display, 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, and 100W charging. These features make it an unusual proposition for buyers who want gaming-focused performance and extended endurance without spending on a conventional premium flagship. Its IP68/IP69K protection further strengthens its appeal as a durable, high-performance device.

The Google Pixel 10a takes a different route with Google’s computational photography, a 13MP ultrawide selfie camera, wireless charging, satellite SOS support, and a commitment to seven major Android OS updates. These features make it more attractive to users who value dependable photography and long-term ownership. The Pixel’s cleaner software experience also offers a more straightforward alternative to Honor’s performance-heavy approach. Ultimately, these phones serve different priorities rather than competing on identical strengths.

Verdict

The Honor Win RT is the overall winner for its dramatically stronger chipset, gaming-focused cooling, superior display specifications, enormous battery, faster charging, and lower price. It delivers more hardware for the money and is the better choice for power users. The Google Pixel 10a remains the smarter alternative for buyers who prioritize computational photography, wireless charging, and seven major Android OS updates.

Oppo Find X10 Ultra detailed camera and display specs emerge

Now that Oppo has made the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max available across multiple markets, the brand may shift its focus to the more premium Find X10 Ultra. The flagship is expected to debut in China in the first half of 2027. A new leak has now revealed details about the camera hardware and display reportedly being tested for the device.

Oppo Find X10 Ultra camera specifications tipped

Social media post detailing camera specifications for the upcoming Oppo Find X10 Ultra.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Oppo is evaluating a camera system featuring a 200-megapixel primary sensor with LOFIC technology for the Oppo Find X10 Ultra. This could be a Samsung HPA or HPU sensor.

The main sensor will be accompanied by a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope lens offering 10x optical zoom. A 100-megapixel square front camera is also reportedly under consideration.

Social media comment thread discussing camera specifications for the Oppo Find X10 Ultra.

The primary camera is said to use a 1/1.12-inch sensor with LOFIC technology, which is designed to improve dynamic range by preserving more detail in bright highlights and dark areas. For the ultra-wide camera, it may feature the Samsung HP5 200-megapixel sensor, which is used as the ultra-wide camera on the Find X10 Pro Max.

As per a previous report, Oppo is reportedly evaluating Samsung ISOCELL GNB and OmniVision OV51A sensors for the 10x optical zoom camera, both said to measure around 1/1.95 inches. However, the sensor choice has not been finalized, and the company could fall back to a smaller 1/2.76-inch sensor if production timelines become a concern. The camera system may also support telephoto macro photography, building on earlier reports of a 10x periscope camera for the Find X10 Ultra.

Digital Chat Station social media post discussing camera sensor production timelines for a smartphone.

DCS has also mentioned a 6.89-inch BOE display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. If this specification makes it to the final device, the Find X10 Ultra could combine a high-resolution panel with a smoother refresh rate for gaming and everyday use. The display details have not been officially confirmed by Oppo.

Beyond the cameras and display, the Find X10 Ultra is rumored to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and a battery of around 8,500mAh capacity. These specifications remain unconfirmed, and the final hardware could change before launch. Oppo has yet to announce an official release date or pricing for the device.

Oppo launches new 80W and 67W power banks with 15,000mAh and 20,000mAh capacities

Oppo has launched two new power banks in China, and interestingly, both are priced at 269 yuan (~ $40). Called the SUPERVOOC 80W Pocket Charge Super Flash Charge Power Bank 15000 and SUPERVOOC 67W Pocket Charge Super Flash Charge Power Bank 20000 (the names are mouthfuls), they are now available for purchase in the mainland.

The new models join the Oppo 33W Pocket Charge Super Flash Charge Power Bank 10000, which went up for pre-order in September, and the 120W SUPERVOOC Power Bank 15000 released in April. Both new power banks have also passed China’s 2026 new national standard certification. The standard becomes mandatory on April 1, 2027.

Both models also support system-level integration with compatible Oppo phones running ColorOS. Users can check the power bank’s remaining charge, battery health, real-time temperature, and charge cycle count directly on their phones.

Oppo SUPERVOOC 80W Pocket Charge Super Flash Charge Power Bank 15000

The 80W model prioritizes charging speed in a relatively compact body. It uses three 5,000mAh cells connected in series for a total capacity of 15,000mAh and an energy rating of 56.25Wh. Its rated capacity is 8,800mAh at 5V 6A.

Oppo SuperVOOC 80W 15000mAh powerbank

It supports up to 80W SUPERVOOC charging, along with 65W Power Delivery (PD) and 55W Programmable Power Supply (PPS) output for compatible devices. The power bank has one USB-A port and one USB-C port. Using both ports simultaneously limits the combined output to 30W, while the USB-C port supports input charging at up to 45W.

However, when all three output ports are used simultaneously, the power bank’s combined output is limited to 5V 3A.

It measures 121 x 72 x 31.4mm and weighs approximately 388g. The package includes the same 0.2-meter braided 8A charging cable as the 80W model. Color options include Morning Mist Gray and Star Torch Orange.

OnePlus details Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro display, features global 165Hz refresh rate

OnePlus has confirmed the Ace 7 series will use the same 185Hz Oriental Screen as the OnePlus 16. The announcement comes just three days before the new phones launch in China on October 29.

The display is the fourth-generation Oriental Screen developed by OnePlus and BOE. The company first shared details about the panel before the OnePlus 16 launch. OnePlus typically uses different displays for its flagship and performance-focused phones, but the Ace 7 series will break from that pattern by getting the same high-refresh-rate panel as its flagship counterpart.

OnePlus Ace 7 series display

What the 185Hz display brings

The panel uses X4 luminescent material customized by OnePlus and BOE for this generation. According to OnePlus, the material improves clarity and transparency.

The display supports a global refresh rate of 165Hz across the system, including menus and scrolling, while compatible games can run at up to 185Hz. OnePlus achieved this with a new LTPO ultra-high refresh rate circuit.

OnePlus Ace 7 Display

The Ace 7 series also includes OnePlus’ Super Display Chip P4, which handles high-frame-rate content to keep motion clear. For eye comfort, the company has added its Bright Eyes Protection feature, developed with MedSight and Vision, to make extended screen use more comfortable.

OnePlus China President Li Jie claims the fourth-generation Oriental Screen is the industry’s only 185Hz LTPO flagship ultra-high-definition display this year.

What else we know about the Ace 7 series

Reservations for the new phones are already open through OnePlus’ official store in China. The lineup will include two models, the OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro. Both are expected to use chips from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 series.

The company has also revealed the design of two phones.

Huawei launches Router X2 and Router X2 Pro with a book-style design and pop-off cover

Huawei launched the Router X2 and Router X2 Pro in China today, with sales starting right after. The two routers share the same Wi-Fi 7+ hardware and connectivity features, but there are a few extras on the Pro model, like available colors and removable shells.

Two white Huawei Router X2 devices with a book-style design stand on a wooden table.

Both models have a book-style design that keeps the antennas out of sight. The standard Huawei Router X2 comes in white, while the X2 Pro is available in Earth Brown, Oak White, and Stone Gray. In fact, the Pro colors are for the magnetic cover, which you can swap as you like. Huawei also showed a Spruce Green version, although it hasn’t announced when it will go on sale.

The Pro’s shell even supports 3D printing, which you can download to create your own design.

Both routers measure 191.7 mm tall, 51.1 mm wide, and 141.1 mm long. The standard Router X2 weighs about 440 g, while the X2 Pro weighs about 475 g.

Huawei Router X2 and Router X2 Pro Specifications

Inside, both models use a Lingxiao 760 series chip, which works closely with its phones, tablets, and other devices to reduce compatibility-related performance losses. The chip works alongside four signal amplifiers and a smart antenna, with Huawei’s algorithm selecting the most suitable signal path.

Huawei Router X2

Huawei claims the routers can improve speeds by 100% in weak-signal areas and reduce latency by 80%. The routers support dual-band Wi-Fi 7, with theoretical speeds of up to 688 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 2,882 Mbps on 5 GHz. Combined, the maximum theoretical speed reaches 3,570 Mbps. Neither model supports the 6 GHz band.

For wired connections, both have one 2.5G Ethernet port and three gigabit Ethernet ports. All four ports can automatically switch between WAN and LAN roles. The internal hardware includes 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of storage, while power consumption stays below 18 W.

AI Mesh and coverage

Huawei includes several features to help users get the best coverage from their routers. Through the Huawei Smart Life app, users can upload a floor plan and let the company’s AI recommend where to place the router.

The routers support mesh networking over both wired and wireless connections. A single router is rated to cover apartments of up to 90 m², while a two-router kit is intended for homes measuring between 90 and 150 m². The two units come pre-paired, so the second router connects automatically when plugged in.

A person plays mobile games while connected to a Huawei Router X2 Pro device.

The mesh system also supports dual-band roaming, which allows a compatible device to connect to the new router’s band before disconnecting from the previous one. However, this feature requires a supported Huawei phone.

Huawei has also included a dedicated gaming connection for its own devices. The system uses three parallel channels, with the company claiming up to 50% smoother gameplay. It relies on StarFlash, the Chinese name for NearLink, the short-range wireless technology Huawei introduced in 2023.

Smart home features and security

Beyond networking, both routers include a smart home gateway with support for StarFlash, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi devices. The routers also include parental controls for managing internet usage. Parents can view usage reports, set time and payment limits, and restrict access to games, video services, and social apps.

Owners of Huawei phones running HarmonyOS 7.0 or later can use the Xiaoyi assistant to check a child’s internet status. The router must first be linked to the user’s Huawei account.

For network security, both models include HomeSec protection against Wi-Fi brute-force attacks, along with WPA2 and WPA3 support. Users can also manage blacklists and whitelists, set up guest Wi-Fi, configure IPv6, and choose between PPPoE and static IP connections.

Huawei says the routers have undergone extensive reliability testing, including more than 48,000 cumulative hours of testing in harsh environments and temperature tests ranging from -20°C to 65°C.

Timex launches Bugs Bunny M79 Automatic watch with a rotating carrot seconds hand

Timex has introduced a new iteration of its M79 Automatic watch, this time featuring a Warner Bros. licensing tie-in. The Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny x Timex M79 Automatic Signature Edition is currently available in the US through the company’s website for $369. The release takes the existing M79 hardware and updates the dial and case back with character-specific branding.

Timex Bugs Bunny M79 Automatic watch

Design Details

Timex has given the dial a playful design, featuring a Bugs Bunny graphic against a black background with a printed signature just below it. The watch replaces the traditional seconds hand with a rotating carrot, adding a unique touch to the design.

It also features a day-date window at the 3 o’clock position, along with luminous hands and hour markers for better visibility in low-light conditions. The dial is protected by a domed acrylic crystal, which offers good impact resistance but is more susceptible to scratches than sapphire glass. However, minor scratches can generally be polished out.

The watch retains the same hardware as other models in the M79 lineup. It features a 40mm stainless steel case with a combination of brushed and polished finishes. The case measures 14.5mm in thickness and has a 46mm lug-to-lug distance, maintaining the classic proportions of a retro-style dive watch.

iPhone Duo is already discounted in parts of China amid software and display issues

Apple’s first foldable, the iPhone Duo, went from launch-day hype and markups to actual discounts surprisingly fast in some Chinese channels. User reports and platform listings show the phone is now available below its official starting price in certain regions, mainly through big e-commerce subsidy programs.

According to feedback across platforms, the iPhone Duo has dropped under its initial retail price in parts of China. Pinduoduo has added it to its “10 Billion YuanSubsidy” channel (only available in select regions), knocking roughly 200–300 yuan (roughly $30-$45) off the launch price. On launch day the phone was going for 1,500–2,000 yuan (roughly $220-$300) above retail in secondary markets. Just two days later, some listings are already undercutting the official price.

That said, many Apple Stores across the country still have no walk-in stock. And if you try to order from Apple’s official website with delivery, some configurations are still showing wait times stretching into January next year.

Latest price on Amazon

The base 256GB model launched at 15,999 yuan in China (roughly $2400), with higher storage options priced up from there. The quick shift from scarcity premiums to modest discounts shows the gap between limited official supply and more flexible availability through e-commerce and authorized retailers in certain areas.

Longer-term demand still looks strong according to analysts. IDC previously estimated Apple’s first foldable could ship more than 10 million units in its debut year and potentially take around 40% of the global foldable market by 2027. Goldman Sachs is similarly upbeat, projecting 13 million units in 2026 and as many as 33 million in 2027.

While official channels remain tight, the early appearance of below-list pricing in eligible regions gives some buyers a slightly easier way in. Exact discounts and availability still vary by location and platform, and the supply situation is still settling as Apple works through the backlog.

iPhone Duo “Reachability” feature for left-hand use tipped in new leak

Apple’s first foldable, the iPhone Duo, has people talking about more than just the dual-screen design. How you actually hold and use the thing day to day matters a lot, and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says Apple is working on a new “Reachability” feature specifically for it.

A hand holds an iPhone Duo showing app icons shifted to the right side.

The idea is simple: let you shift the main content on the outer screen left or right so it better matches how you naturally grip the phone, including if you’re left-handed.

People were worried that the outer display’s interface and control placement might feel awkward for lefties. Now Gurman suggests those concerns might be overblown. Feedback from some left-handed users apparently shows the outer screen hasn’t really gotten in the way during normal use. On the bigger inner screen the issue is even smaller, since most people just use both hands there anyway.

This new mode is basically an evolution of the Reachability feature Apple has had for years (the one that pulls everything down on tall iPhones so your thumb can reach). For the Duo, it’s focused on horizontal shifting of the primary interface elements on the outer display, giving you more flexibility based on how you hold the phone when it’s folded.

Analysts are still pretty bullish on the product. IDC previously estimated Apple’s first foldable could ship more than 10 million units in its debut year and potentially grab around 40% of the global foldable market by 2027. Goldman Sachs is in a similar ballpark, projecting 13 million units in 2026 and as many as 33 million in 2027.

As the iPhone Duo starts reaching more people, little software refinements like this Reachability update show Apple is still polishing the experience beyond the initial hardware. More details on when it ships and exactly how it works should come out as development continues.

Exynos 2700 scores 15-20% higher than Snapdragon 8EE Gen 6 inside a Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in Geekbench tests

Samsung is getting the Galaxy S27 series ready for an early 2027 launch, and the early numbers on its in-house Exynos 2700 are looking pretty interesting. According to a report from a South Korean outlet on October 25, Samsung ran some internal benchmarks that put the new chip up against Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 inside a Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.

Samsung Exynos 2700 processor chip resting on a dark, glowing circuit board background.

In Geekbench 6.5 multi-core, the Exynos 2700 scored around 13,000 points while the Qualcomm chip sat closer to 11,000, roughly a 20% lead. In Geekbench 7.0 the gap was still solid at about 15%. When they compared it against the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, the difference jumped even higher: 44% and 36% respectively in the two Geekbench versions.

Graphics looked good too. In peak performance tests with demanding games, the Exynos 2700 came out around 20% ahead of Qualcomm’s top chip. In more everyday heavy 3D titles the lead dropped to about 5%, which is still respectable.

The chip is set to be mass-produced on Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2 nm process (SF2P), and Samsung is also working on improved heatsink packaging to help with heat and sustained performance. For context, the previous Exynos 2600 already showed up in some Galaxy S26 models and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. If the 2700 can keep delivering competitive results, Samsung might finally be able to use its own silicon more consistently across the S27 series instead of relying so heavily on Qualcomm.

Of course, these are still Samsung’s own internal numbers, not independent third-party tests. Real-world performance, thermals, battery life, and how it holds up under long gaming sessions will tell the real story once actual Galaxy S27 units start circulating.

Timex launches new 36mm Intrepid Blackout watch with stealthy design and 100m water resistance

Timex has released a new version of its Intrepid watch, collaborating once again with Dimepiece founder Brynn Wallner and Foundwell’s Alan Bedwell. The new model, called the Timex Intrepid x Dimepiece Blackout Edition, is available now on the Timex US website for $269.

Timex Intrepid Dimepiece Blackout Edition

Design Details

This release is a direct follow-up to their previous collaboration, which scaled down the original 1990s Intrepid design into a more compact format. The Blackout Edition keeps those exact dimensions but swaps the earlier colorway for a dark, monochromatic hardware design.

The watch features a 36mm brushed stainless-steel case finished entirely in black. In terms of footprint, it has a 40mm lug-to-lug distance and a 10mm case height, weighing 58.52 grams. The 36mm sizing aligns with a broader trend in the watch market toward smaller, gender-neutral cases that fit a wider variety of wrist sizes without looking bulky.

To contrast the dark case, the watch uses a cream-colored dial with skeletonized hour and minute hands. There are a few specific color accents: the second hand, the 12 o’clock marker, and the dedicated INDIGLO pusher are colored in Dimepiece’s signature purple. The hardware also includes a rotating top ring for tracking elapsed time and places the screw-down crown off-center, just beside the 4 o’clock position.

For the strap, Timex opted for black NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber). NBR is a synthetic rubber generally chosen for being more resistant to oils and wear than standard silicone. The 18mm strap has a tonal TIMEX INDIGLO logo debossed into it and uses quick-release spring bars, which let you swap out the band without needing a spring bar tool.

Using three USB-C outputs simultaneously brings the combined output down to 115W. It has a small TFT screen that displays the power going to each port, remaining battery capacity, and battery health.

The power bank itself supports charging at up to 100W, with Ugreen claiming a full recharge takes around 2.2 hours. It weighs 631 grams and measures 158 x 54 x 50mm, so it is not the lightest option for everyday carry.

The power bank costs €99.99 in Germany and France, £89.99 in the UK, and $139.99 in the US.

2. Best mid-size power bank

UGREEN Nexode 20000mAh 55W

If you don’t need 200W of output, the Ugreen Nexode Power Bank 20,000mAh 55W is a more manageable alternative. It has a built-in 7-inch USB-C cable, alongside a USB-C port and a USB-A port, so you can charge up to three devices at once.

The maximum output from the battery pack is 55W for supported phones, while laptops can draw up to 45W. Like the model above, it also has a built-in display that shows the remaining battery capacity, output power, charging cycles, and temperature.

The unit weighs 389 grams and measures 11.65 x 7.1 x 3cm. It costs £39.99 in the UK and starts at €69.99 in Europe, with listings available on Amazon in the UK, Germany and France.

3. Best for iPhone

The Ugreen MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh 25W was among Ugreen’s main launches at IFA 2026. It combines a 10,000mAh battery with Qi2 wireless charging at up to 25W, along with wired charging at up to 45W through USB-C.

Its main feature is a liquid-cooling system. A micro-pump circulates coolant to help control heat during wireless charging, while a transparent window lets you see the coolant moving inside. Ugreen says the power bank can charge an iPhone 17 Pro Max to 50% in around 40 minutes.

The cooling system is an unusual addition to a magnetic power bank, although it comes at a price. You can get it for €119.99 in Europe, £109.99 in the UK and $149.99 in the US. Amazon has sold it for around $100 in the US since September.

4. Best for hotel rooms

Ugreen MagFlow 25W 2-in-1

The Ugreen MagFlow 25W 2-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charger is a compact option for travellers who want to charge their phone and earbuds without carrying separate wireless charging pads.

It folds down to 2.36 x 2.96 x 0.52 inches and weighs 3.88 ounces. Unfold it, and you get a Qi2.2 charging pad with up to 25W of output for an iPhone 16 or newer. The iPhone 16 requires iOS 26 or later to use the charger at its supported speeds. A second pad handles AirPods, and the main charging surface can also prop up a phone for video calls.

Unlike a power bank, the MagFlow needs an external power source. Ugreen recommends using a 45W USB-C charger to get the best charging speeds, so you’ll need to pack a suitable wall adapter as well.

The launch prices are €49.99 in Europe, £43.99 in the UK, and $59.99 in the US.

5. Best slim wall charger

Traditional wall chargers can take up a surprising amount of space in a travel bag, particularly when you’re carrying one powerful enough to charge a laptop. Ugreen’s Nexode Air Slim series takes a different route with a thin design and foldable prongs.

The Ugreen Nexode Air Slim 65W measures just 12mm thick and has two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. It costs $49.99 in the US. When you use all three ports simultaneously, the main USB-C port delivers up to 45W, while the other two share the remaining 15W.

The Ugreen Nexode Air Slim 100W provides more power and has recently become available in the UK for £59.99. Either USB-C port can deliver up to 100W when used alone, while the USB-A port supports up to 22.5W. The UK version also has foldable prongs.

Connecting multiple devices reduces the power available to each port. Ugreen says the first device receives roughly 60W to 80W when more than one device is connected.

The slim design makes the chargers easier to slip into a bag than many conventional laptop adapters, although the 100W model is the better choice if you regularly charge a laptop alongside a phone or tablet. 6. Best charger with a screen

The Ugreen Nexode Pro 100W 4-Port Charger takes a more traditional form than the Air Slim models, but adds a color screen to show charging information. The display reports output power, temperature, voltage and charger health, making it easier to check how connected devices are drawing power.

Measuring 63 x 63 x 63mm, the charger has three USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Two of the USB-C ports can deliver up to 100W individually, while the third supports up to 65W. The USB-A port reaches 22.5W, and total output across all ports is capped at 100W.

Ugreen launched the charger in the UK for £55.99 before bringing it to the US at $64.99. Promotional pricing has brought the US version down to $54.99 on Ugreen’s official store and Amazon.

It’s worth considering if you want one charger for several devices and like having charging information visible at a glance. However, the 100W shared limit means you won’t get the full rated output from multiple ports at the same time.

7. Best luggage tracker

The Ugreen FineTrack Slim Duo 2 is a thin tracker for people who want to keep tabs on luggage, wallets, or passport holders. It works with both Apple’s Find My network and Google’s Find Hub, making it compatible with iPhones and Android phones.

At just 1.7mm thick, the tracker can slip into places where a conventional tracking tag would be too bulky. It also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Ugreen rates the battery for up to seven years, compared with five years for the first-generation model.

Prices start at $29.99 in the US and €29.99 in Germany, France and Spain, following an earlier launch in the UK. Check the listing carefully before ordering, as Ugreen sells its trackers in multi-packs.

8. Best for creators

Ugreen NeoDrive Go

The Ugreen NeoDrive Go is a portable SSD built for people who need fast storage without carrying a conventional external drive. It measures 3.46 x 2.16 x 0.47 inches and weighs 70 grams.

Rather than requiring a separate cable, the drive has a built-in 5.4-inch braided USB4 cable that also works as a lanyard. Ugreen claims transfer speeds of up to 3,800MB/s, while direct iPhone connectivity allows users to record 4K video at 120fps in ProRes.

The 1TB model launched in the US for $499.99. Ugreen’s European store lists it at €399.99, with a 25% discount bringing the price down to €299.99.
