Vivo recently confirmed that it will announce the Vivo T4 5G on April 22 in India. Today, the brand began sharing details about the key specifications of the device. One of the major highlights of the T4 is its huge battery combined with blazing-fast charging speed.

Vivo T4 5G battery size, charging capabilities

Vivo T4 5G battery size and charging speed

Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo T4 5G will feature a massive 7,300mAh battery. According to the brand, rather than compromising on design, it has implemented innovative tech to ensure the phone remains slim while delivering all-day performance.

The battery integrates BlueVolt anode materials and third-generation silicon, boosting energy density by 15.7% compared to earlier versions. As far as slimness is concerned, its Emerald Blaze edition will measure only 7.89mm in thickness.

Vivo T4 5G supports reverse charging and bypass charging

Vivo has also confirmed that the Vivo T4 5G will support 90W fast charging, reverse charging, and bypass charging. The company claims that the T4’s battery will not heat up because of the Direct Drive Power Supply tech, which supports efficient current flow with minimal heat generation—ensuring the phone stays cool, even during gaming while charging.

Technologies like Carbon Nanotube conduction, Nano Cage Structure, and Electrode Reshaping are onboard to reduce battery degradation even after heavy usage.

The Vivo T4 5G’s teasers have revealed that it will feature a quad-curved AMOLED display. Leaks have revealed that the screen will offer 5000nits of peak brightness and the device will run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset.

Other reports have revealed that the T4 will have a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 + 2-megapixel dual-camera setup. It is likely to come in two options: 8GB RAM + 128GB and 12GB+256GB.

Alleged CMF Phone 2 Pro’s leaked image

The CMF Phone 2 Pro was spotted on GeekBench by 91Mobiles. This revealed certain specs and features of the new smartphone. It carries the Nothing A0001 model number and can be seen running on the Nothing OS custom skin based Android 15 out of the box. Looking at the benchmark results, the CMF Phone 2 Pro managed to achieve a score of 1012 points in the single core test and 2939 points in the multi core test.

This model managed to achieve these figures thanks to an unknown octa core chipset, which features four performance cores with a maximum frequency of 2.5GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The chipset is paired with the Arm Mali 615 MC2 GPU. Based on these details, the CMF Phone 2 Pro could be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. Although, this is still just speculation at the moment.

Nothing is planning on launching the CMF Phone 2 Pro along with the CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus on 28th April 2025. A recent leak also hinted at the smartphone arriving with a charging brick in India. This is all the information we have at the moment, so stick around for more.

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion vs Redmi Note 14 Pro: Which mid-ranger offers more for your money?

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and Redmi Note 14 Pro are two mid-range smartphones aiming to offer premium experiences without flagship prices. Both focus on delivering strong displays, solid performance, and feature-rich cameras, making the choice between them less about brand and more about priorities.

This comparison matters because both models blur the line between affordable and high-end, offering advanced specs in the same price zone, but with very different strengths depending on what users value most, whether it’s media, photography, or all-around daily use.

1. Design and Display.

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion

On the display front, the Motorola uses a P-OLED panel boasting 1B colors, a high 1500-nit brightness (HBM), and an incredible 4500-nit peak, making it ideal for outdoor use. The Redmi Note 14 Pro comes with its AMOLED panel, 68 billion colors, Dolby Vision, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits, favoring cinematic vibrancy and deeper dynamic range.

Though both displays share the same size and resolution, the Edge 60 Fusion feels better tailored for outdoor visibility while the Note 14 Pro leans into richer visuals for streaming and gaming.

In the design battle, Redmi’s Dolby Vision and always-on display offer more flair for content lovers.

2. Specifications

Redmi Note 14 Pro
Redmi Note 14 Pro

When comparing core specifications, both devices run on efficient 4nm Mediatek Dimensity chipsets. The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion comes with either the Dimensity 7300 or 7400 depending on the region, while the Redmi Note 14 Pro uses the Dimensity 7300 Ultra. Both CPUs use the same Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 layout, but the Edge 60 Fusion’s India variant gets a slightly faster clock speed.

Storage options are identical with UFS 2.2 technology, but Motorola also includes a microSD card slot for expandability, a practical advantage over the Note 14 Pro, which lacks external storage.

On the battery side, Motorola offers either a 5200mAh or 5500mAh unit, depending on the market, paired with speedy 68W wired charging. Redmi Note 14 Pro houses a slightly smaller 5110mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging. The faster charging and bigger capacity give Motorola a strong edge in daily reliability.

While the Note 14 Pro handles general tasks with polish, Motorola seems better equipped for users who value longevity, expansion, and quick power top-ups.

3. Camera

Redmi Note 14 Pro
Redmi Note 14 Pro

Redmi Note 14 Pro packs a clear punch in the camera department with its headline 200 MP wide sensor. This sensor promises impressive sharpness, detail capture, and versatility in cropping, paired with 8 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro cameras. Meanwhile, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion uses a dual setup, led by a 50 MP wide lens with OIS and a 13 MP ultrawide. Though it lacks the sheer megapixel count, Motorola focuses on balanced image processing and stabilization.

For video, both phones offer 4K recording and gyro-EIS, but Redmi extends OIS to video as well, providing smoother handheld shooting. Selfie shooters differ too, Motorola uses a 32 MP front camera capable of 4K recording, while the Note 14 Pro sticks to 20 MP and limits video to 1080p. In terms of raw photographic power, Redmi Note 14 Pro leads thanks to its flagship-grade sensor. However, Motorola’s higher-resolution selfie camera and 4K front recording add value for social media creators.

The Note 14 Pro is a better fit for photography enthusiasts, while Motorola caters more to vloggers and casual shooters.

4. Pricing

When it comes to pricing, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion retails at around $310 USD, while the Redmi Note 14 Pro averages around $340 USD. Despite the gap, the extra cost attached to the Redmi feels justified for users looking for stronger media and camera performance. Its 200 MP main camera, Dolby Vision support, and Hi-Res certified audio create a noticeably richer experience for photography, streaming, and sound, which adds lasting value beyond just hardware specs. On the other hand, Motorola offers great efficiency at a slightly lower price, especially with its 68W fast charging and 4K-capable selfie camera, both of which are uncommon in this segment

The price difference reflects their focus as Motorola targets users who want a reliable, well-rounded daily driver and long battery life, while Redmi focuses on camera and multimedia enthusiasts willing to pay a little extra for photography and viewing quality.

Both phones feel fairly priced, but for buyers focused on daily content consumption, camera flexibility, and audio depth, the extra money spent on Redmi Note 14 Pro is likely to feel well worth it.

5. Conclusion

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion

Redmi Note 14 Pro stands out as the stronger overall package for users who prioritize everyday features and multimedia experiences. Its combination of a 200 MP main camera, Dolby Vision-certified AMOLED display, and Hi-Res audio support makes it especially well-suited for photography, streaming, and music lovers. The addition of features like Circle to Search, an IR blaster, and polished software touches under HyperOS further push its value beyond the basics.

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion still holds its ground with practical advantages like faster 68W charging, 4K selfie video, and Ready For Desktop mode, which is meaningful for users who prefer versatility and convenience, especially for productivity or vlogging. However, with only a modest price difference, the Redmi Note 14 Pro delivers more depth in media, imaging, and everyday visual appeal.

Between the two, the Redmi offers a better balance for entertainment, photography, and immersive use, while Motorola leans slightly more toward functionality and speed. Without ruggedness in the equation, the Redmi Note 14 Pro becomes the more feature-rich and appealing choice for most users.

Honor unveils two new AI-powered photo editing tools at Cloud Next 2025

Honor unveiled its cutting-edge AI-powered photo-editing tools at Cloud Next 2025 last week. The collaboration, highlighted by Eric Fang, Senior Director of Product Planning at Honor, aims to enhance smartphone experiences with advanced imaging capabilities, aligning with Honor’s ALPHA PLAN to lead the global AI device ecosystem.

Ai-powered photo editing features

The partnership builds on features like Magic Portal 2.0, now expanding with Google’s Gemini large language models to deliver innovative features. A standout is AI Outpainting from Honor’s AiMAGE suite, powered by Google’s Imagen model. This feature lets users expand photos up to twice their original size. Not to mention, it allows seamless reframing or rotating of the image post-capture. Fang calls it “a game-changer,” as it lets users capture moments without thinking much about the framing. The optimized generative fill allows the user to modify the image to match their vision.

Another highlight is AI Eraser, which simplifies photo editing by removing unwanted objects with a few taps. Leveraging Google’s Imagen technology, it fills gaps with realistic, context-aware content, minimizing chances of artifacts in the image. As Fang notes, this makes editing effortless and reliable, enhancing user accessibility.

Honor’s commitment extends to affordability, with the recently launched Honor 400 Lite in Europe featuring AI Outpainting, AI Eraser, and AI Upscale. This move brings high-end imaging to budget devices, supported by Google Cloud’s robust infrastructure. Fang underscores that this collaboration pushes technological boundaries, creating a new AI-enhanced device standard and fulfilling the ALPHA PLAN’s vision announced in March.

By collaborating with Google, Honor aims to make these tools globally accessible, transforming how people perceive smartphone photography. This partnership not only elevates smartphone imaging but also sets a precedent for AI integration across Honor’s expanding product lineup.

This $200 iPhone look-alike packs an absurd 8000mAh battery

Honor’s first phone in the Power lineup is now official in China. Dubbed (of course) the Honor Power, its headline feature is a massive 8000mAh battery. That’s an insane capacity for a smartphone!

An 8000mAh battery in a phone

The company even claims that it features a larger battery than the iPad Air (2025)—29.6Wh compared to 28.93Wh. This is all thanks to silicon-carbon battery technology which has greater energy density than conventional lithium batteries. To put that in context, the Power’s battery has an impressive energy density of 821Wh/L.

Honor Power has a 8000mAh battery

Honor claims the battery can deliver:

  • 25 hours of long-form video playback
  • 23 hours of TikTok
  • Over 23 hours of navigation
  • 14 hours of gaming

What’s even more impressive is that the company has managed to squeeze this beast into a chassis that’s less than 8mm thick, while the phone weighs just 209 grams. It also supports 66W wired fast charging which can take the phone from 3% to 100% in just 68 minutes.

Design and Aesthetics

You’ll notice a pill-shaped cutout on the front, but oddly, the phone houses just a 16MP selfie camera. On the rear, there’s a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 5MP ultrawide shooter—a fairly basic setup.

Performance should be reliable enough, thanks to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Honor Power Design

In terms of design, the Honor Power looks like Honor’s own take on the latest iPhones. The camera module is clearly inspired if the pill-shaped cutout on the front doesn’t already give it away. It’s available in Snow White, Phantom Night Black, and Desert Gold.

Galaxy A55 gets second One UI 7 beta update in India

Samsung Galaxy A55 One UI 7 beta 2 update

The Galaxy A55 5G is the only mid-range Samsung phone that got early access to One UI 7 software. The beta program kicked off earlier this month with the first beta release, and now we have the second beta update rolling out amid One UI 7 stable rollout chaos for high-end Galaxy phones.

Samsung is rolling out the second One UI 7 beta update for Galaxy A55 users in India. The update comes with the firmware version A556EXXU7ZYD3 and has a download size of around 336MB. It doesn’t bring new features, but rather includes three bug fixes and many improvements.

According to the changelog, the One UI 7 Beta 2 resolves poor visibility of Google Sports in Now Bar. It also resolves an issue related to the eSIM push notification icon. With the fixes in place, the phone now shows a SIM icon when receiving push notifications about eSIM. The latest beta fixes one more issue that’s related to MMS emoticon, but doesn’t state the changes in detail. The changelog rather mentions “Fix an issue that cannot be attached to MMS emoticon on a particular route.

Besides these three fixes, Samsung has included the April 2025 security patch to the second beta. The latest security patch addresses dozens of vulnerabilities, enhancing the overall security and privacy (read more about it here). If you have a Galaxy A55 that’s already running One UI 7 beta, check if the second beta is ready for installation by going to Settings > Software updates and hitting the Download and install button.

The stable One UI 7 rollout is ‘unstable’ right now

After a long wait, followed by a lengthy beta program, the stable One UI 7 rollout finally went live on April 7, starting with South Korea. The Galaxy S24 series got the first bite, and then it quickly expanded to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Samsung took no time in expanding the stable update to more regions, including Europe and the US. However, just as when things started to look promising, the One UI 7 rollout was paused worldwide.

While not going much into the details, Samsung revealed that a critical was found in the One UI 7 Korean build for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Samsung has assured users that it is working to resolve the issue and will resume the rollout “as soon as possible.” However, it raised serious questions on the lengthy One UI 7 beta program. Things aren’t looking promising right now, and with no clear timeline in sight for the One UI 7 resumption, it’s only frustrating Galaxy owners.

Xiaomi establishes dedicated chip platform department to advance its in-house chip ambitions

Xiaomi is making another move toward controlling more of the silicon inside its smartphones. According to a new report from China, the company has established a dedicated chip platform department within its mobile phone product division.

The team will be led by Qin Muyun, a former Qualcomm senior director, who will directly report to Lei Jun, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi.

Xiaomi ventured into chip design with its in-house Pengpai S1 SoC back in 2017. It was an 8-core 64-bit processor based on a 28nm process. The chip debuted in the Xiaomi 5C, but the phone failed to gain traction, and the S1 line quietly disappeared from the spotlight.

Despite the initial stumble, Xiaomi is continuing its journey of smaller, specialized chips. In the past few years, the company has rolled out several self-developed components catering to various aspects of a phone.

Xiaomi Surge C1
Xiaomi Surge C1 ISP chip

For instance, its Pengpai C series is designed for imaging, the P series for fast charging, the G series for power management, the T series for signal enhancement, and the D series for display control.

These chips haven’t replaced core processors but have helped Xiaomi gradually build expertise across the hardware stack. Now it seems like the company has the confidence to build its full-stack smartphone SoC.

Xiaomi’s first mobile processor will deliver flagship-grade performance

Thanks to a report earlier this month, we might even know what Xiaomi’s first in-house smartphone processor might bring to the table.

The chip is expected to utilize an octa-core CPU configuration leveraging ARM cores. This includes one Cortex X925 core at 3.2GHz, three Cortex A725 cores at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex A520 cores at 2.0GHz.

Xiaomi-3nm-chip-tape-out

The prime core is the same MediaTek uses in its latest Dimensity 9400 while the high-performance and efficiency cores are from a generation back. So while Xiaomi’s configuration might not compete directly with the latest flagship processors, it might offer solid performance for a sub-flagship phone.

The GPU side could be more competitive. The chip reportedly integrates an Imagination Technologies IMG DXT72 GPU at 1.3GHz, which early estimates claim may outperform the Adreno 740 in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
