The company even unveiled limited edition variants of these devices during this announcement, which brings a Harry Potter-themed crossover. The Chinese tech giant claims that the Redmi Turbo 3 Harry Potter Edition brings with it a design inspired by the wizarding world of the beloved Harry Potter franchise. The unique patterns pay homage to the original storyline and showcase magical elements that are directly inspired by the mysterious magical world. It also blends technology and magic for a gorgeous look. The rear has a Dark magic arc as well as the golden emblem of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Lastly, there is even the iconic Harry Potter logo as well.

Light & Dark Magic: Lumos and the Seven Horcruxes

Redmi Turbo 3 Harry Potter Edition’s rear features intricate details. These showcase important spells that directly influence the plot of the series. This includes the Seven Horcruxes, which the main characters are hunting for to takedown the main antagonist (Voldemort). These can be seen in the design of Ravenclaw’s Didem, Nagini, Tom Riddle’s Diary, Salazar Slytherin’s Locket, Marvolo Gaunt’s ring, and Hufflepuff’s Gold Cup (not including Harry Potter himself). But wherever there’s darkness, there shall be light too as the LED ring features the Lumos spell that shines a light in dim situations.

Harry Potter-themed Goodies in the Box & the Phone

The smartphone isn’t the only thing that got a special redesign. Even the retail box was overhauled to house special goodies and designs to further immerse buyers in the magical world. The packaging carries a hand painted depiction of Diagon Alley and houses various accessories like a custom charger, a limited edition protective cover, and a Golden Hogwarts School badge.

The Redmi Turbo 3 Harry Potter Edition also gets some special additions to the software as well. It comes with a custom UI that blends the Harry Potter theme. Xiaomi just shared a surprise announcement. The company is gearing up to launch the Redmi Turbo 3 and the Redmi Pad Pro in a magical limited edition. This upcoming tablet and smartphone will launch with a wizarding makeover ahead of their official Chinese launch, so let’s have a look.

Redmi Turbo 3, Redmi Pad Pro Harry Potter Edition

Earlier today (9th April 2024), the Chinese tech giant announced that the Redmi Pad Pro’s limited edition model will be the world’s first Harry Potter-themed tablet. These will be unveiled in China at 7 PM CST on April 10. Talking about the tablet first, the Redmi Pad Pro Harry Potter Edition features a large logo of Hogwarts on the back. But more interestingly, the tablet comes with a special protective cover, which looks like the Admission Notice letter from the movies.

While the tablet has a rather simple design, the Redmi Turbo 3 features more intricate details. The rear panel features the Hogwarts logo on the bottom half. On the other hand, the top half comes with a stylish etching of a wand that is casting Lumos. The flash module also features Harry Potter’s iconic lighting-shaped scar. Both products carry the “Harry Potter” branding as well.

It is worth noting that apart from the aesthetic, the special edition Redmi Turbo 3 and Redmi Pad Pro will carry specs similar to regular models. A new game is on the horizon and it is a new Harry Potter title. The upcoming game is called Harry Potter: Magic Awakened and now we have the first look at its gameplay thanks to its latest trailer, which even reveals its launch date. So here are all the details.

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a new mobile fantasy game

This isn’t the first time the game has been seen as the mobile game was first released in the Chinese market. But now, the title is rolling out for the rest of the world and ahead of its launch, there is even a new trailer that highlights its gameplay and new art style. The game is set in the Harry Potter universe and begins 10 years in the future, following the events of the Battle of Hogwarts.

In the game, one can expect to see many familiar faces as well as new professors. Notably, this title also arrives after the massive success of Hogwarts Legacy, which launched for the PC and consoles. The limited edition package will come with college wizard robes, scarves, magic wands, and famous souveneirs of Harry Potter: an admission notice and 9¾ card pins. According to the latest reports and teasers, the phone will feature a 12-bit Flexible OLED panel, 16GB+1TB storage, and a massive 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The company also teases the color of the device, which is “Ice Feather White”. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The phone will have a 3725mm vapor chamber cooling system to improve heat dissipation by 35%. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo will also run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box, making it the first Redmi Note 12 smartphone to run on Android 13 out of the box.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be equipped with a 64-megapixel main camera. It will be coupled with features like optical image stabilization (OIS) and the Xiaomi Imaging Engine 2.0. There is no official confirmation on the auxiliary cameras of the device. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is expected to launch globally under the Poco F5 branding on April 5th in India. With its impressive specifications, this phone is sure to attract a lot of attention in the crowded smartphone market.

Hogwarts Legacy Already Has Half a Million Players on Steam

Hogwarts Legacy has been a highly anticipated video game title based in the same universe as the massively successful Harry Potter universe. Now, it appears that the popularity of the series of fantasy books and movies have also affected the game, with its Steam player count crossing a major milestone.

Hogwarts Legacy has managed to see one of the biggest early access launches in Steam history. For those unaware, Steam is a major name in the gaming industry, known for distributing games and other software. This is also the platform where many studios offer early access to their upcoming titles. The Harry Potter universe based game from Avalanche Software is an RPG title (Role Playing Game) and has already seen a concurrent player peak of over 400,000.

To be exact, around 474,144 people had bought the game and were playing it at the same time. This figure has almost reached the 500,000 mark as well. According to Benji Sales on Twitter, this marks the second highest player count for any paid single player game in the history of Steam. Meaning, the game has successfully surpassed Fallout 4, which saw 472,962 concurrent players, and puts it right behind Cyberpunk 2077. Although, 2077 brought in a player count that crossed a whopping 1 million.

The early access period is still live and will end later on February 10 (or later today depending on your local time standard). Keep in mind that the early access was was only offered to players who bought the Deluxe Edition of the open world RPG. Furthermore, Hogwarts Legacy has also become the top single player game ever on Twitch, with over 1 million peak concurrent viewers as well.

Xiaomi has an exclusive sale of Harry Potter 3D book which when fully unfolded measures one square meter. The book is priced at 328 Yuan, which roughly converts to $47. It measures 242 x 289 x 60 mm when closed and 1.089 x 0.867 m when unfolded.

The book contains fives major scenes, which includes the main castle, tower, Quidditch stadium, Hogwarts village, and forest. There are more than 70 classic movie scenes. The book has been designed by American paper artist Matthew.

Usually, most three-dimensional books have two or three hundred parts but this book of Harry Potter has nearly a thousand parts. Some parts of the structure can also be moved to give it an interactive effect.
