OnePlus company “invented” a term “Flagship Killer” once they started a huge OnePlus One marketing campaign and it has become very popular every since. Also, the type of promotion OnePlus did was successful in that way that a lot of other Chinese tech companies used this term and right now it seems that when a new top of the line device from China is released, it can be a flagship killer.

I am talking about the OnePlus 2, which has made a lot of hype second year in a row. But what if we put it against the less known Letv Le 1 Pro? (less known for the mainstream users, of course).

Keep in mind that both phones were retested using the latest firmware as of 2015-10-01. This is really important for OnePlus 2 as it has improved significantly in crucial areas like UI speed and camera performance.

So there you have it, the OnePlus 2 vs. Letv Le 1 Pro. Are both devices capable of being flagship killers? Well, if we look at the significant price difference of these phones and the mainstream flagships, yes.

But the real question here is who is the real flagship killer. First of all, both devices are great choices and you will make no mistake choosing either of them but they have their own pros and cons.

The OnePlus 2 has a more conventional design and you can customise it by buying some fancy looking back covers. Also, it has a more traditional almost stock looking UI, a slightly better camera in some scenarios, a larger battery and a fingerprint scanner.

The Letv Le 1 Pro has a premium all-metal design, smaller footprint and better ergonomics, and thus the phone feels significantly smaller in the hand. Also, it has a higher resolution display, a good camera, a really nice looking LeUI, stellar performance, fast charge feature and one of the best in class audio quality.

Which one should you choose? At the end of the day, it all comes to the personal preference but you have to keep in mind all the pros and cons each device has. Still, you will make no mistake choosing either of them as these phones are great bang for your buck.

It seems that Letv is not just another newcomer to the smartphone’s game in China. This company is breaking a record after record and it has already shaken up the whole smartphone industry in the Far East.

As you may have already heard, Letv held a “Black 9.19” festival, where the company sold its devices for a significant discount despite the fact that Le Superphones and other devices made by Letv are already carrying a very low price tag without any discounts.

It turns out that the company managed to achieve overall sales of $270 million in one day, which makes it China’s third largest e-commerce festival.

Letv’s customers are not only buying smartphones as the numbers show that they are interested in other smart devices, which include the Super TVs, Super VR Goggle, Super motion-sensing gaming gun, Le Smart router, earphones and a Bluetooth speaker. The latter gadgets are so far being sold in China only but we can’t wait to see them in the Western markets too.

A very interesting fact is that Letv sold over 594k of Le Superphones, which breaks the record for a single-day online flagship phone sales in terms of both volume and revenue.

It seems that the Letv is on the right track in terms of the quality of the devices they produce and the marketing they use. Chinese customers have known the company’s name for quite a while and it may help foster sales of Le Superphones. Still, for a company, which has just entered the smartphone business, these numbers are really impressive.

You may think why we need to care about these numbers but the benefits are obvious to the end consumer too. Companies like Letv simply shake up the Chinese consumer electronics market and make other players either reduce the prices of the devices they sell even more or invest more into innovation, research and development.

We all know that we have so many great devices that are coming out in China. However, many of them don’t have Google Play/Services pre-installed out of the box. Sometimes, there is an easy way to do it, other time you have to wait for a particular workaround.

And from what we have seen, all the three devices are extremely well built with the top specs.

Now, its been a couple of months since the phone has been made official and finally, the device is up for grabs for everyone. The phone is now available at Geekbuying for $591. While this is a hefty price to pay for a Chinese smartphone, the LeTV One Pro does offer the goodies to justify the price.

The LeTV One Pro comes with the super fast Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64-bit chipset with 4GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There’s a 5.5-inch display on the device with a massive 2K resolution display. There’s a 4MP Ultrapixel front facing camera and a 13MP shooter at the back with flash and auto-focus.

As you can see, the specs are high-end and is enough to handle everything you throw at it. Even in the looks department, the phone stands out from the competitors. LeTV has made sure that its phone is one of the best looking models in the market right now with an all metal design and a near bezelless display. So, the 5.5-inch 2K display in particular should look good while watching videos and images.

Naturally, being a top end device, it supports 4G LTE networks. The supported bands are as follows: 4G: FDD-LTE: B1/3/7, TDD-LTE:38/39/40/41. A 3000mAh battery should ensure at least a day’s usage even with the large 5.5-inch display up front. So, overall, the LeTV One Pro is one of the best smartphones to buy in the market right now.

There has been a lot of hype about the upcoming LeTV “Superphones”, which are manufactured by the “Netflix of China” video services streamer. The company invested quite a lot for all the marketing and the CEO was not shy either by calling Apple an innovation Nazi. All the hype made many consumers interested in this newcomer and the Super Le Smartphones are on sale. Well, kind of.

We usually talk about the Xiaomi and their flash sales strategy. This time around, the LeTV smartphones went officially went on sale today and…. 200.000 units were gone in a blink of an eye! LeTV One Pro (2499 Yuan or around $400) was sold out in 1 second, LeTV One – in 3 minutes and 46 seconds! Previously, the company announced that there was a huge interest in their devices as there were more than 10 million users, who “reserved” a phone. Well, all we can say that the demand is extremely high!

It is also worth mentioning that LeTV has finally revealed the official price of the 6.33 inch giant phablet flagship – LeTV One Max. It will cost 3599 Yuan (around $580) in China. The online reservations for the Chinese customers have already started at 2 PM today and the open sale will start on June 12th at 12:00. However, due to the high demand the same story may repeat and the device may be sold out in a matter of seconds. This keeps us wondering of the point of the reservation system.

However, there is a catch. The above mentioned pricing is only for the limited number of the devices. On the other hand, the final retail price will be decided by “Referendum” (most likely online voting or something similar) at the beginning of June. That means that the price may go lower.

It seems that the LeTV takes some marketing clues from the Xiaomi and uses the flash sales tactics. At least for now. Another similarity is that they sell their devices almost at  the cost (the company even disclosed BOM – Bill of Materials). However, the main point of LeTV’s strategy seems that they have a different primary focus – they want to sell services rather than hardware. Well, for now we are not interested in their services portfolio as they are Chinese-oriented. Still, we are very interested in the hardware and we cannot wait to see how the package of beautiful design and killer specs performs in real life scenarios. We cannot wait to provide you with the full review treatment of Le “Superphones” as soon as they land in our offices.

It seems that the resellers have already started picking LeTV devices up. As usual, the reseller prices are higher than in China, but still you get a killer device for a decent price. Merimobiles seem to be offering the lowest prices for now.

We are still waiting for the official release of the “Super Phones” made by the Chinese media giant LeTV. The company is a new to the smartphone industry, but made managed to attract a lot of hype to their lineup of Le Superphones – LeTV One, LeTV One Pro and LeTV One Max.

At the moment we know that the One Pro will be an all metal phone and it will come in silver and gold colour options. However, it seems that LeTV has some more offerings as the black variant of the latter device leaks in flesh and blood.

Honestly, the leak suggests that this is the One Pro model, but it is hard to tell since only the front of the device is exposed. Still, the more colour options to choose from the better. Anyway, we are very excited about these upcoming devices we cannot wait to provide the Gizmochina readers with a full review of these devices.

LeTV officially announced three new smartphones in the market last month, namely LeTV One, LeTV One Pro and LeTV One Max. Of these, the first two models, the One and the One Pro are going to be available for purchase from May 19. And today, the company started taking reservations for both the devices at exactly 10:00 AM.

While we knew that there would be immense response for the two smartphone today, it looks like the demand was much above the estimated figures. As a result, the LeTV servers went down at 10:00 AM. So, interested customers started to complain that the server was down and they could not reserve their units.

The company reportedly made 190,000 units of the 1499 Yuan ($241) LeTV One and only 10,000 units of the bezelless LeTV One Pro. So, in all 200,000 units were available for reservation today. While LeTV One is a great device for its price tag, many customers could have been interested in the One Pro model, which was only available in limited quantities. As a result, most customers would have wanted to reserve their units as soon as the sale opened. Those who have successfully reserved their units can purchase the device on May 19 at 12:00PM.

The LeTV One comes with Helio X10 octa-core chipset with 3GB RAM and 16GB of storage. There will be a 5.5-inch 1080p display with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing shooter. As for the LeTV One Pro, the model features Snapdragon 810 chipset with 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage. The 5.5-inch display gets a resolution of Quad HD 2K. The camera is of 13M with OIS and battery capacity of 3000mAh. Overall, both the smartphones offer tremendous value for its price tags.

LeTV just unveiled three new smartphones in its One lineup and all the three models cater to a different set of users. While the LeTV One features a compact 5-inch display, the One Pro and the One Max cater to the customers who would like something bigger.

The LeTV One Pro comes with a 5.5-inch display which has become the standard among flagships and the One Max comes with an even bigger 6-inch display. Both the large screen models feature 2K resolution screen which should deliver crystal clear image quality and a color gamut of over 85%.

The mid-range One is made out of plastic, however the top end models are made entirely out of metal which gives it a premium look. The One Pro looks similar to the HTC One series phones while the One Max looks a lot similar to Huawei’s Mate 7 flagship. These two were one of the best looking phones of last year, so its not surprising that they look so good.

The One Max and the One Pro boasts of a beautiful bezelless display. Although we are hearing rumors about bezelless phones from all major manufacturer these days, LeTV is one of the first established ones to release such a remarkable lineup in the market.

A new leak reveals the three new smartphones that will be announced by the Chinese media giant, LeTV. This is the first time we are seeing all the three models, together in one picture. Earlier leaks have showed us two smartphones, the LeTV X600 and the LeTV X900, but this one confirms three new devices from the company.

You can see from the picture, that there are three LeTV phones, one with a plastic design and the other two with a metal design. The plastic LeTV model will probably be called as the LeTV One, the other two as the LeTV Pro and the LeTV Max. It is said that the largest LeTV model will have a 6-inch display. From the image, it looks like this LeTV Max model could be lying on the extreme right with a fingerprint sensor at the back. Interestingly, the LeTV Max does look a bit like the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 flagship, especially with that small square fingerprint sensor at the back.
