UNBOXING

In the box, you get all the usual stuff that includes some paperwork, SIM ejector pin, USB cable and a fast charger.

DESIGN and DISPLAY

What I absolutely love about the M5 Note is a flagship-grade build quality.

Just look at it, the phone is made entirely of metal, a silver aluminum finish does not attract fingerprints and smudges quickly and the phone feels nice in the hand. I am so excited because I prefer metal phones over the glass-made ones.

The M5 Note has a 5.5” 1080p display that is just gorgeous to look at. It is sharp and vibrant but the sunlight legibility is just average.

We have a 5MP selfie camera and a notification LED light on the top and on the bottom, there is just a home button that can be either physically pressed or just tapped if you want to use it as a back key. Also, the home button doubles as a fingerprint scanner, which is very accurate but you have to wake the phone up first in order to use it.

As far as optics go, there a 13MP shooter coupled with a dual LED flash.

I love that the buttons are tactile and they do not rattle once pressed.

The sound via the headset jack is great. No distortions and great overall quality for a budget phone. The loudspeaker is also good. In fact, it is one of the better ones in this price range.

HARDWARE and PERFORMANCE

When it comes to hardware, things don’t sound that great. Well, the Meizu M5 Note definitely has enough power for most of the daily tasks since it has 3GB of RAM and optional 16/32 or 64GB of expandable storage but the Mediatek Helio P10 chip can’t handle the most intensive tasks like gaming.

If you play games like Asphalt 8 on the highest graphics, you should expect a lot of stutters and quite a few skipped frames. You can fix this issue only if you switch the graphics setting to medium. Other games like Nova 3 run fine.

BENCHMARKS

USER INTERFACE

I have always loved the Flyme Os because of the way it looks it works. Sure, it would be nice to see the latest version of Google’s OS but the Android 6.0-based user interface is fast, there is no stutter or lag no matter what you do with it.

Also, there are some cool features like gesture and motion controls and they work perfectly. I just love those basic gestures that allow you to use the phone in one hand quite easily. You can also customize the phone by changing themes, wallpapers and so on. Finally, my international review unit comes with most of the languages, google play installed and there is no chinese bloatware.

CAMERAS

I like Meizu’s camera app because it is fast and responsive. However, there are a few things the company didn’t fix for a long time, e.g. the shooting modes and settings menus work only in portrait mode for some reason. You can select from a few shooting modes that include a manual mode or slow motion in 720p video mode.

IMAGE QUALITY

Meizu M5 Note takes one of the best pictures you can get on any sub-$150 phone. You will usually get photos that have plenty of detail and sharpness, and the colours will look nice. The dynamic range and white balance may be off in some of the shots but the HDR mode does a decent job bringing the detail back to the shadows (at the expense of a bit unnatural looking picture).

The low-light shots have qutie a bit of noise and grain but this is usually a case with all budget phones.

The 1080p video looks okay. Not very impressive in general but pretty good for a budget phone.

The selfies look pretty good except for the fact that the colours look a bit washed out.

The 1080p selfie video looks good but again, the colors are washed out. Finally, the sound recording quality is really good for a cheap phone.

CONNECTIVITY

When it comes to connectivity, the M5 Note remains solid. Call quality and signal reception are great, wifi and 4g speeds are good and the Bluetooth works fine. However, I found the GPS to be less accurate than flagship phones.

BATTERY LIFE

A 4000 mAh battery is one of my favourite features of the Meizu M5 note. Your results may vary but with my usage, I could constantly get over 5 hours of screen-on time with 2 SIM cards and quite a heavy usage of the phone.

If you need to recharge the battery, you can do it quickly in just over 1:30 h with the supplied fast charger.

CONCLUSIONS

The Meizu M5 Note is a very solid budget smartphone that delivers in a lot of ways. I absolutely love the design and build quality of it, the speed and feature set of the UI, the camera, and outstanding battery life.

My main complaints would be that the phone uses Helio P10 chip which is not designed for gamers. Also, the phone still runs on Android 6.0 and we still have a regular micro USB port for charging.

Other than that, Meizu M5 Note is a great offering for the price if you don’t mind those shortcomings.

Meizu launched the Meizu M5 around November last year in China and they added the M5 Note to the series in December. The Meizu M5s is also expected any moment from now but that isn’t the news. The latest news regarding the two Meizu smartphones is that they may soon be available in other countries outside of China.

The M5 and M5 Note were spotted recently on Postel in Indonesia which is the country’s telecoms regulator just like US FCC and China’s TENAA. The listing on the Indonesian regulatory agency’s website showed the device has been certified and that seems to have been done yesterday. However, there is no other information as to when the devices will be launched in Indonesia or any other country and the price the device will carry. Suffice it to say that the M5 Note starts at 899 yuan ($130), while the M5 starts at 699 yuan (around $100) in China and those prices may not hold water, considering the costs of shipping, tax, and other stuff will have to be included in the mix.

It is worthy of note that the international version of the Meizu M5 will launch running on Android-based FlymeOS as against the YunOS which the Chinese edition featured.

The Meizu M5 Note was released towards the end of last year. The all-metal phone with a 5.5-inch FHD display, 3GB of RAM and a Helio P10 processor is available in different storage variants with pricing starting at ¥899 ($130 ) and moving up ¥1499 ($218). Barely a month later and the prices are no longer the same.

If you head to Meizu’s official website, you will notice that there has been a price increase for all the M5 Note models. The 3GB + 16GB model priced at ¥899 ($130) now sells for ¥999 ($144) and the 3GB + 32GB version selling for ¥999 before is now ¥1099 ($158). However the 3GB + 64GB variant remains priced at ¥1499 ($248).

A customer who reached out to Meizu’s customer service to ask why there is a price increase was told that the increase is due to changes in market conditions caused by dollar fluctuations and has resulted in an increase in the cost of materials.

The price increase is expected to affect other brands and spread to other products other than phones this year. Just last week Meizu increased the price of their newly released TV box.

Xiaomi has recently launched two new color editions of Redmi Note 4. Fresh rumors suggest that the Chinese company is now working on a beefed-up edition of Redmi Note 4.

The Redmi Note 4 was announced in August this year in China. The Xiaomi smartphone features MediaTek MT6797 Helio X20 chipset under its hood. Well-known leakster from China, Reviewer  has revealed on Weibo that the Redmi Note 4X may arrive as an upgraded version of Redmi Note 4.

Redmi Note 4X Key Specs

The leakster has also revealed its key specs. The rumored device is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 653 chipset. It is pegged to arrive with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of RAM.

The Redmi Note 4 is currently available for purchase in China. The Standard version of the phone that is priced at 899 Yuan ($129) features 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The High edition of Redmi Note 4 costs 1,199 Yuan ($172). It features 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage.

Redmi Note 4X Arriving to Take On Meizu M5 Note?

Rumors have it that the Redmi Note 4X with 4 GB of RAM and native storage 64 GB will arrive as a rival product for Meizu M5 Note highest configuration model that features 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

As far as design is concerned, the Redmi Note 4X may not sport the chassis that is available on Note 4. Like Note 4, the Note 4X may feature 5.5-inch full HD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with MIUI 8.0, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera and 4,100 mAh battery.

The Meizu M5 Note comes with a USB Type-C port, a feature that is absent on Redmi Note 4. There is no confirmation on whether the Note 4X would feature a USB Type-C port.

Meizu has released new a set of patents. The diagrams revealed through patent applications suggest the arrival of innovative dual screens on future smartphones from Meizu.

The patent filing with patent number 201610589545.X shows inclusion of two displays on the smartphone. The first one is the main screen at the front and the other one is a smaller display present on the rear side of the device. Both the front and rear screens will reportedly be able to interact with each other.

This secondary screen can also double up for Back function present on Android phones. Speculations suggest that it can be turn out to be a feature of the next generation mBack button.

When the smartphone is running low on power, it will automatically switch from large main screen to the secondary screen at the back. Since the screen at the back is small, this can be the ultimate power saving feature.

In August, Meizu was awarded for the versatile mBack patent that it had filed in 2012. The mBack feature offers four kinds of function for efficient navigation on the device.

To recap, Meizu’s mBack feature makes the home button all the more innovative. The mBack works as a fingerprint reader when the Home button is held for few seconds. Tapping on it lets the user access the previous page and pressing it allows to access Home button function. A long press on it can lock the device. The Meizu M5 Note comes with some attractive features like a huge battery, larger display, and RAM along with beautiful design. After dismantling the device, PCOnline has confirmed that the CNY 899 (~$130) pricing is perfect for a smartphone that comes with better internal components than the Meizu M3 Note.

The teardown was quite wasy and opening the device is not a tough task. Its motherboard is fixed in a plastic bracket to increase its stability. The main components are well-integrated in a metal body using metal snaps and screws.

Meizu M5 Note Specs, Price

The Meizu M5 Note comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display that is guarded by 2.5D curved glass. It measures 153.6 x 75.8 x 8.2 mm and weighs 175 grams. Under its hood is the Helio P10 SoC by MediaTek.

It has a 13-megapixel rear facing snapper and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The fingerprint reader is present under its display. It houses a 4,000 mAh battery.

Just a little into the year, we had a mid-range battle between the Meizu M3 Note and Redmi Note 3. Eight months later, we are switching the fighters but the teams are still the same. This battle is for the same thing, Middle Earth Range and its between the just launched Meizu M5 Note and the Redmi Note 4.

Introduction

Both phones are the mid-range flag bearers for their respective manufacturers and sport specs that are not flagship level but are not slouches as well.

Design

The Redmi Note 4 and Meizu M5 Note are an huge upgrade in design over their predecessors. They are thinner and sleeker and have a 2.5D glass over their displays.

The M5 Note is thinner at 8.1mm compared to the Redmi Note 4 which has a thickness of 8.35mm. The Redmi is smaller at 151mm against the M5 Note’s 153.6mm which results in it having a higher-screen to body ratio. Both phones weigh 175g.

Xiaomi’s Redmi series is known to have its fingerprint scanner at the back and the Note 4 is no different, Meizu prefers it in front underneath the mBack button. Depending on which side of the divide you are, this might be a deciding factor for you.

Camera placements, power button, volume rocker, and SIM tray are the same  on both phones. The Meizu M5 Note has its earphone jack at the bottom, on the left hand side of the USB port and lacks an IR blaster but Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 has its audio jack at the top on the other side of the IR blaster.

Display

The Redmi Note 4 and Meizu M5 Note are equipped with the same 5.5” screens and Full HD resolution. While the Redmi has a higher screen-to-body ratio, the Meizu has a higher ppi. However, this differences are negligible and would probably not be noticed.

RAM and ROM

This is where both phones really differ. The Meizu comes in three storage variants: 3GB+16GB/32GB and 4GB+64GB. There is also an option to use a SD card slot which can add up to 128GB of extra storage. The Redmi Note 4 on the other hand is also available in three memory options: a 2GB RAM model with 16GB of storage and a 3GB RAM version with 32GB or 64GB ROM. You can also decide to expand the storage via the SD card slot which allows you add up to an extra 256GB.

Software

Meizu just launched a new version of its Flyme OS and the Meizu Note 5 is one of the phones that comes with it out of the box. The Flyme 6 OS runs atop Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it brings a ton of new features. Meizu also says it has a built-in AI engine called One Mind.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 also runs Android Marshmallow with the company’s heavily skinned MIUI 8 overlay. It doesn’t have an AI engine but it gives you a deeper level of customization you won’t find on stock android.

Cameras and Processors

The Meizu M5 Note has a 13MP f/2.2 Sony camera with a 5P lens PDAF, and dual-tone LED flash on the rear.The front camera is a 5MP f/2.0 with ArcSoft beautification technology.

Xiaomi’s camera is a 13MP f/2.0 sensor.It also has a 5P lens, dual-color temperature flash, HDR, PDAF, and real-time filters when taking pictures. The selfie camera is a 5MP sensor too with the same f/2.0 aperture.

Theoretically, the Xiaomi’s main camera should take better pictures because of its large aperture which will let it take in more light, but that is not the only factor for determining the better camera as post processing and other software enhancements.

Both phones use Mediatek processors but while the Xiaomi uses the Helio X20, the Meizu uses the Helio P10. They are built on different architectures (20nm for the X20 and 28nm for the P10) and feature different number of cores (10 cores against the P10’s 8 cores). The X20 chip offers a better all-round performance than the P10, from a higher clock-speed due to its more powerful Cortex-A73 cores, to its better GPU and more advanced fingerprint technology.

 Battery and Price

There is no much difference in the battery capacities of both phones. The Meizu M5 Note has a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a 4100mAh battery with 5V 2A fast charging. Battery life will however vary depending on the usage, software optimization and the type of tasks you run.

Price is usually the determining factor especially when it comes to value for money. The Meizu starts at $130 for the 3GB and 16GB model and moves up to $146 for the 3GB + 32GB model. The 4GB + 64GB model closes it at $218.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 starts at $130 for the 2GB + 16GB version and $145 for the 3GB + 32GB version. The high-end 3GB + 64GB version is priced at $180.

At $130, the Meizu appears to be the better buy as you get more RAM. The 3GB+32GB version of the Redmi Note 4 is the better choice if your budget is $150 since you get a more powerful processor than that of the Meizu.

The top end is where the tough decision comes in. If you are fine with the Xiaomi’s 3GB of RAM, you are better of with it and will save almost $40, or you could settle for the Redmi Pro (3GB + 64GB) which offers a more powerful processor (X25), has dual cameras, an OLED screen, and sells for around $200. If more RAM appeals to you, then pick the Meizu M5 Note.

The Meizu M5 Note went official today and true to the words of Meizu’s VP, the device was a real beauty. The M5 Note came in both black and white variants and regardless of your preferred choice, both color variants are sleek and beautiful.

The images show both the white and black color variants fresh out of their boxes. Indeed we’re not really too enthusiastic about the design because they are just custom Meizu designs with all features in their usual places. There is the oblong home screen button just under the display and sadly, you still see the black borders at the edges of the display screen. Well if you get irritated by that, then you can opt for the black variant which does a better job of hiding the borders.

What the Meizu M5 Note lacks in design, it made up in the specs and price tags. The device packs an Helio p10 chip and two different RAM versions of 3GB and 4GB respectively. There are three storage versions as well, ranging from 16GB, 32GB to 64GB. All three storage versions can be expanded. The device sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera and a 4000mAh built-in battery. There is also full network support on the device and providing the interface is Meizu’s Flyme 6 OS.

Meizu has taken the wraps off its latest budget offering, the Meizu M5 Note in an event today in Beijing, China. The company will continue to use an all metal body on its new mid-ranger and will offer plenty of color options as well, which has become a highlight of the Blue Charm series. The Meizu M5 Note will be available in four colors — Sky Gray, Champagne Gold, Moonlight Silver, and Glacier Blue.

The phone features a curved 2.5D glass up front to give it a premium look. The design remains more or less similar to other Blue charm phones, so you have the traditional antenna lines on the top as well as the bottom. However, the company engineers have reportedly improved the antenna signal for more strength and stability and the company claims that the signal quality and strength have more than doubled than the previous generation model. In case you are wondering, there’s dual SIM dual standby. The card slot is hybrid, so you can insert a MicroSD card for expansion at the expense of the second SIM card slot.

As for the specs, the Meizu M5 Note features a 5.5-inch 1080p display up front with 450 nits maximum brightness, which translates into 403ppi. The screen comes with many features such as sunlight mode, eye mode etc. Inside, the phone comes with the Helio P10 octa-core processor with 3GB /4GB of RAM and 16GB/ 32GB /64GB of storage options that’s expandable up to 128GB.

The camera on the Meizu M5 Note is a Sony 13MP sensor with PDAF that focuses in just 0.2 seconds and f/2.2 aperture. Up front, you get a 5MP shooter with ArcSoft’s algorithm for better quality images. You get a fingerprint sensor as well, which unlocks in 0.2 seconds. There’s a large 4000mAh battery on board, which will fill up quickly since it supports 18W mCharge. As for the software, the phone is using the new Flyme 6 OS that promises 20% better CPU and memory resource allocation for faster performance.

The internet was abuzz the past few days with renders of a purported Meizu Pro 6 Edge device that quite frankly looked stunning. The device was said to have a curved display with 2K resolution as well as an Exynos 8890 chip onboard. The Pro 6 Edge was also rumored to likely launch along with the M5 Note today.

However, Meizu’s VP Huang Zhang has debunked news of any other device apart from the M5 Note dropping today. The Meizu VP via a Weibo post averred that talks of a curved screen device dropping today doesn’t have substance. The VP however promised that a topnotch device is what they will be unveiling.

Recent rumors have said the Meizu M5 Note will come in two versions like the previous models: a standard edition sporting a polycarbonate body called the M5 Note name and another version clad in metal called the M5 Metal. The earlier rumored price tags may be incorrect, though, as the M5 Note has been spotted listed on popular Chinese e-commerce website Jingdong (JD.com) with a price tag of 1,099 Yuan (around $159.52). The listing also detailed that the device would go on sale on December 8. This Jingdong-listed price is also not certain as the web page also contains a clause that the release price would take precedence over this one.

The Meizu M5 Note has been in the news a lot these past few days. Earlier today we covered the leak about the phone having multiple variants and their respective prices and just a few hours later more details of the upcoming phone have been leaked.

The new leak comes in form of a specification sheet leaked on Weibo. The most important info on the page is the RAM of the new phone which is stated as 2.5GB. Yes, not 2GB or 3GB but 2.5GB!!!

Now this exact RAM size is quite unusual but devices that feature this ”kind of RAM” are common from one manufacturer and that manufacturer is Samsung.  Samsung has quite a number of devices especially tablets that have 1.5GB of RAM. I’ve still not been able to get someone explain why they wouldn’t just settle for 2GB of RAM. Although both phones are expected to be available in different storage options ranging from 16GB up to 64GB with support for SD card, so expect the price to be higher than the above. The Meizu M5 Note is said to be available in four colors: a grey unit with black bezels, and a white, silver, and blue unit all with white front bezels.

Yesterday, Meizu released some teasers which announced the launch of the M5 Note would take place on December 6. The Meizu M5 Note takes over from the M3 Note and it is just apt that the teasers contained the M3 Note images with the date of the launch and other information written on the back of the device.

Now more details have emerged that the M5 Note would have two versions aside the three different storage sizes revealed on TENAA. There’s likely another model, the Meizu M5 Metal (Remember the Meizu M3 Metal from last year — this could be its successor!). These details were contained in a leaked document with the price list said to be for the expected devices. According to the document, the Meizu M5 Note carries a price tag of 999 Yuan ($145) for the 16GB version while the M5 Metal 16GB storage version comes in at a slightly higher 1099 Yuan ($159).

As a reminder, the Meizu M5 Note features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels. The device comes weighing 175g, has a dimension of 153.6 x 75.8 x 8.15 mm and cram a large 4,000mAh battery under its hood. The device packs an Octa-core 1.8GHz Helio P10 chip. The device features 3 different memory versions which include a 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM, 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM, and 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM. All three versions have room for expansion via a microSD card. Renders of the Meizu M5 Note have been missing in action all these while. Turns out the Meizu product launch schedule which was leaked towards the end of last week was correct about the M5 Note launching in December. The Meizu M5 Note launch has officially been teased to hold on December 6. The teaser also features the real image of the device.

The Meizu M5 Note was earlier rumored to launch alongside the Meizu X which would go official on November 30. That has, however, been put to rest with the release of this latestinvitation by Meizu. The invitation also reveals that the Meizu M3 Note has hit 20 million units produced since inception and that the M5 Note launch would signal the end of production.

As for the expected specs of the device, earlier appearance on AnTuTu has given us a glimpse of that. According to the AnTuTu records, the M5 Note would launch sporting a 1080 pixels display resolution which is thought to be a 5.5-inch screen. The device will also feature a MediaTek Helio P20 chipset along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device packs a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera as well as run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 from the go.

A leaked product launch schedule for 2016 said to be that of Meizu has revealed that the expected Meizu M5 Note won’t drop until sometime in December. Images of the schedule surfaced on Weibo and they specifically featured products launched in the past months in their correct order including the upcoming Meizu X. Meizu has been habitually releasing smartphones almost every month this year so its no surprise if actually there is a time-table.

The Meizu M5 Note has featured in several leaks and appeared on benchmarks. The device was thought to launch alongside the Meizu X on November 30 but that isn’t likely going to happen. The device may now be launched in December, if the schedule is to be believed. Although no specific date is ascribed to the launch, it may likely be launched before the 12.12 sales. Unfortunately, there is no indication that we’d be seeing a Meizu tablet anytime this year.

A few hours ago, Meizu officially confirmed that it will hold a launch event on November 30. While the company failed to give out a specific device name, media started to speculate that we could meet the rumored Meizu M5 Note at the event. But it looks like, Meizu could release a mystery device at the Nov. 30 event, most likely called as the Meizu X.

Recently, a couple of images showing off the box of the Meizu X popped up on the social networking website Weibo, revealing the name of the device. The leakster further said that this particular model will be announced on November 30.

Further, a screenshot has also popped up online, which shows Meizu’s VP, Li Nan kind of confirming the name of the upcoming device — Meizu X, adding that more details will be announced tomorrow.

Given that this will be a new product lineup, we can expect some great specs on board. The tagline “Make Helio Great Again” on the invite confirms that the phone will be using a new Helio chipset and there are two possible options, the Helio P20 and the Helio X30. It’s too early for Helio X30 to release in the market, which means, the Meizu X should most likely feature Helio P20 chipset.

To recap, the Helio P20 features 8 x Cortex A53 cores clocked up to 2.3GHz with Mali-T880MP2 GPU and Cat.6 LTE support with dual-carrier aggregation. Performance wise, don’t expect too much improvement, but efficiency should be better since it is built on 16nm process as compared to Helio x20’s 20nm manufacturing node.

Meizu has sent out invitations to a new press conference holding on November 30 at the Beijing Performing Arts Center in China. The press invite didn’t specifically indicate the launch of a particular phone model but contained the caption “Make Helio Great Again”, a term that suggests a new model equipped with a Mediatek Helio chip is on the way.

Meizu’s current line of smartphones are basically MediaTek powered with exception of the Exynos 7420 sporting Meizu Pro 5, so it becomes confusing why the company chose this caption. Again, the caption may indicate the coming of the M5 Note which had featured in several leaks of late. The device first appeared on GeekBench before it was spotted on China’s 3C website, thereafter it appeared on AnTuTu Benchmark.

Less than 48 hours after the Meizu M5 Note was spotted on Geekbench thus revealing some of its spec, the device has again appeared on popular benchmark website AnTuTu. The AnTuTu listing throws more light on the specifications the M5 Note would feature, at least some more light.

According to the AnTuTu listing, the Meizu M5 Note features a 080 pixels display which may likely be 5.5 inches in size (cannot be less than the M5’s 5.2-inch display). The device is also listed as packing a MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) processor, along with the Mali-T860 GPU, supported by 3GB of RAM as well as 32GB of internal storage. The device is also listed as running Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-of-the-box.

The M5 Note isn’t programmed to disappoint on the camera end, sporting 13MP rear camera as well as a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. The Meizu M5 Note is said to have skipped bearing the M4 Note which ordinarily it should, considering that the last Note Meizu released was the M3 Note (pictured). This is because of the Chinese superstitious belief which associates the number 4 with bad luck.

Not long after Meizu went official with the Meizu M5, another device going by the name Meizu M5 Note has been spotted on benchmark site GeekBench, where it went through some testing, along the line giving us a peek at some of its specs. The device seems to be a premium version of the M5 which launched with a 5.2-inch 720 pixels display and powered by a MediaTek MT6750 chip.

According to the GeekBench data, the Meizu M5 Note features the MediaTek Helio P10 processor (MT6755) inside it. The processor which is an Octa-core CPU ran at a clock speed of 1GHz, perhaps for the test. The device is also listed as having 3GB of RAM, a tad higher than the 2GB RAM on the M5 and running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. On the result bench, the Meizu M5 Note polled a score of 687 points on the single-core test and 2481 points on the multi-core test.

In another related development, a device suspected to be the M5 Note has also been revealed to have received 3C (CCC) certification in China. The device is listed as M682 and this is deduced to be the M5 Note giving the fact that the M3 Note was listed with the model number M681. The CCC certificate is required on all devices that is imported, used or sold in the Chinese market and this latest listing could be an indication that the device will likely launch soon.
