Nubia has unveiled the nubia Neo 5 GT at MWC Barcelona 2026. The phone targets young gamers and Gen Z users with a focus on cooling performance, gaming controls, and AI-powered features.

Built-In Fan and Advanced Cooling

The Nubia Neo 5 GT is the only phone in its class with a built-in active cooling fan. It also includes a 29,508mm² cooling area and a Through-Flow Duct Design that directs airflow over the CPU and battery. This setup is built to control heat and maintain stable frame rates during long gaming sessions.

The device runs on the MediaTek D7400 4nm processor with LPDDR5 memory rated at 6400Mbps. Performance is managed by the NeoTurbo Engine for consistent frame rates. A 360° Game Antenna helps maintain strong connectivity regardless of how the phone is held. The phone is certified for 120FPS gameplay on Garena Free Fire and MLBB. It also supports 90FPS on Delta Force with the Mid-Season update.

Triggers, Display, and Battery

The Nubia Neo 5 GT comes with 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0 for four-finger control. It supports sub-5.5ms latency and a 3049Hz touch sampling rate. Magic Touch 3.0 keeps the screen responsive even with wet or sweaty fingers.

It features a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness. SGS-certified Eye Care helps reduce eye strain. The 6,210mAh dual-cell battery supports up to 80W fast charging, while the EU version supports 45W PD charging. The 5% Extreme Mode delivers up to 23 minutes of gaming or 29 hours of standby. Bypass Charging powers the device directly during gaming without charging the battery.

Design, AI, and Cameras

The Neo 5 GT has a completely flat back with no camera bump, rounded corners, and a 90° charging cable. It includes stereo dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra, an X-Axis linear motor, and RGB lighting that reacts during gameplay.

AI Game Space 5.0 centralizes performance controls. AI Copilot Demi 2.0 includes a Gaming Coach, Gaming Chatbot, and Auto-Chat reply feature.

The series also includes a 50MP AI triple rear camera and a 16MP front camera. AI Memory, AI Scam Alert, AI Image and Text Generation, and AI Translate are included.

Pricing & availability

The device will launch globally starting in Southeast Asia in March with a starting price of €399.

ZTE is heading back to Barcelona with another gaming phone.

The company announced today that it will hold a new product launch event for its new phones at Mobile World Congress 2026, taking place from March 2nd to 5th in Spain. The highlight of the event will be the global debut of the Nubia Neo 5 GT. 

According to the official teaser poster, the Nubia Neo 5 GT will feature a built-in cooling fan. Active cooling isn’t new to gaming phones, but it’s still rare outside this niche. A built-in fan suggests ZTE is aiming for sustained gaming performance.

Beyond that, ZTE hasn’t shared much. However, thanks to a leak, we already have the device’s design and full specs. 

Nubia Neo 5 GT Specifications

As you can see, the Nubia Neo 5 GT features camera cutouts with an octagonal design, and a light accent on the right side adds to the aggressive look. 

Up front, the phone is expected to feature a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports up to 1200 nits of brightness and covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. 

Powering the device is the UNISOC T9100 chipset, built on a 6nm TSMC process. It uses a mix of Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores, topped by a prime core clocked at 2.7GHz. The phone also has a large vapor chamber (4083mm²) for cooling. 

The phone comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, though exact configurations haven’t been confirmed. It powers everything via a 6,000mAh battery, with support for 80W fast charging, and also includes bypass charging.

In terms of optics, the phone could feature a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, supported by Nubia’s NEOVISION imaging system. 

Other features include dual stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra support, a Z-axis linear motor for stronger vibration feedback, hardware gyroscope support, and shoulder trigger buttons labeled R1 and L1. 

The Nubia Neo 5 GT will be available in Black, Yellow, and White.

Red Magic 11 Air brings nine cutting-edge gaming features

According to Nubia, the Red Magic 11 Air is positioned as a full-fledged performance flagship and features a true full-screen design with no notch or punch-hole, enabled by a 16-megapixel under-display front camera. The phone also adopts a fully transparent design across the lineup and includes dedicated gaming shoulder triggers.

A key highlight is its active cooling system, which combines a high-speed internal fan with an ultra-thick 4D Ice-Step vapour chamber to improve thermal efficiency. The device also integrates Red Magic’s Cube gaming engine, a self-developed Red Core R4 esports chip, and a built-in PC emulator.

Powering the phone is what the brand claims to be the largest battery ever used in an Air-series device, all housed within a slim 7.85mm chassis. Red Magic says the phone is aimed at users seeking strong gaming performance, refined aesthetics, and effective heat management in a slim form factor.

Red Magic 11 Air specifications (expected)

Back in November 2025, the Red Magic 11 Air was spotted on China’s TENAA certification database with the model number NX799J. The listing revealed that the phone will feature a 6.85-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1216 x 2688 pixels and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It also confirmed a rated 6,780mAh battery, which translates to an advertised capacity of around 7,000mAh.

The TENAA data further suggests that the Red Magic 11 Air will offer configurations of up to 24GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage, while the base model could start with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Camera details include a 50-megapixel primary rear camera paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.

Although the chipset name was not disclosed on TENAA, the phone was recently spotted on Geekbench earlier this month, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

As seen above, popular tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that the Red Magic 11 Air will be unveiled in January 2026 in China. The said Weibo post has been reshared by Chao, who stated that the device is indeed very powerful.

According to DCS, the Red Magic 11 Air will come equipped with the company’s signature active cooling fan, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a large battery. Apart from performance, the affordable gaming phone will sport a stylish design. It will be the first phone with an under-display selfie camera to launch in 2026.

The device, which reportedly bears the model number NX799J, was spotted on China’s TENAA certification platform last month. The listing revealed that it will feature a 6.85-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, equipped with a 16-megapixel under-display front camera. On the back, it will feature a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual-camera setup.

After the recent Nubia Fold & Flip 3 Go launch in Japan, Nubia has now introduced a new Alien-themed CyberBuds gaming TWS earbuds in China. The earbuds are available for reservation on JD.com at an introductory price of 199 yuan ($28), with open sales scheduled to begin on December 9.

Nubia CyberBuds Specifications

The CyberBuds feature a distinctive two-part mechanical design with an alien aesthetic. The charging case includes RGB lighting and a small integrated display. Both the earbuds and the case support customizable lighting effects through the Nubia Life+ app. Each earbud weighs just 3.6 grams, and the case weighs 58 grams. The case also includes a lanyard slot for easier portability.

Nubia uses Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity. The earbuds support instant wake and pairing when the lid is opened. Red Magic phone users get a system-level pop-up window that shows battery status and connection details.

The earbuds support Nubia’s FlashLink 2.0 low-latency audio technology. The company claims an end-to-end latency as low as 50 milliseconds, which can benefit fast-paced games that require precise timing.

Nubia also focuses on customizable audio. The companion app allows users to switch between audio modes tuned for different game types, such as FPS, racing, or general gaming. There is also a manual EQ mode for those who prefer a personalized sound profile.

Each earbud houses a 35mAh battery, and the charging case includes a 500mAh battery. The earbuds provide up to six hours of playback on a single charge, and the case extends total usage time to around 48 hours.

Under the hood, it is equipped with the UNISOC T8100 SoC, which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can even expand the storage by up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. UNISOC often powers budget and entry level devices, unlike the Snapdragon and Dimensity powered foldables that were just announced.

A sizeable 5,100mAh battery pack powers this model, which measures 8mm in thickness. Nubia is also promising a relatively robust design thanks to the MIL-STD-810H rating for shock resistance. You also get an IP65 + IP68 + IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, which is uncommon for entry level smartphones. For photography, the rear has a dual camera setup that consists of a 50MP main camera and a 5MP ultra wide angle lens.

Nubia has officially expanded its foldable smartphone lineup, unveiling two new devices. The first is a Galaxy Z Fold 7-like notebook style Nubia Fold, while the other is a clamshell folding flip phone dubbed the Nubia Flip 3. Ahead of the official launch, the company has revealed nearly everything about these foldable devices, so let’s check it out.

Nubia Fold: Brand’s Premium Foldable

The Nubia Fold is Nubia’s first book-style foldable, arriving as its flagship foldable offering. It sports an 8-inch foldable OLED main display with a resolution of 2480 × 2200 and delivers a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the secondary panel is a 6.5-inch OLED panel with a 2748×1172 resolution and also runs at 120Hz.

Under the hood, the Nubia Fold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is last year’s flagship chip from Qualcomm. This is coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. A massive 6,500mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 55W wired fast charging.

For photography, the rear has a 50MP main camera that is coupled with a 50MP ultra wide angle lens, and a 5MP macro shooter. You get a 20MP camera on the main and cover display for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, IPX4 and IP5X rating for water and dust resistance, a fingerprint scanner, and a hefty 249 gram body.

Nubia Flip 3: Affordable Flip Phone

On the flip side (literally), Nubia Flip 3 offers a more compact and budget-oriented foldable option. It features a 6.9-inch foldable OLED inner screen with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The cover screen is a smaller 4-inch AMOLED panel that can display quick notifications, act as a camera viewfinder, and more.

Unlike its more expensive sibling, the Flip 3 packs the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X, which is a processor that typically powers mid range devices. You also get 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A smaller 4,610mAh cell powers this device. The rear has a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra wide angle lens, while the selfie shooter is a 32MP sensor. Other notable features include Bluetooth 6, WiFi 6, IPX4 and IP5X rating for protection against the elements.

Pricing and Availability

Nubia is expected to roll out both foldables soon. The Nubia Fold is set to debut in Japan tomorrow (4th December 2025) with a 178,560 Yen price tag, which is roughly around 1,145 US Dollars. This model will likely see a broader release next year. Meanwhile, the Nubia Flip 3 might go on sale in January 2026 as well, with a global launch also expected to follow soon after. The Nubia Fold comes in a single black color option, but the Nubia Flip 3 is listed in white and black variants.

Nubia looks set to expand its foldable lineup in a big way. A new leak from Evan Blass has revealed two upcoming devices — the company’s first book-style foldable and the next entry in its clamshell series.

Until now, Nubia has only released flip-style foldables, with two generations already out. The newly leaked Nubia Fold changes that. The images show a full-size book-style model that puts Nubia directly up against Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and other big names in the category.

The inner display shows off uniform bezels. Flip it over, and things get eye-catching: a massive camera island taking up nearly a third of the back, with three circular lens cutouts, a ring light, a pill-shaped flash, and some branding off to the right. The whole module sticks out quite a bit too, giving the phone a noticeably chunky camera setup for a first-gen book-style foldable.

That said, one of those “lens” cutouts might be purely cosmetic — there is a common practice of adding decorative openings, as seen on the RedMagic 11 Pro+.

The tipster also shared some schematics of the book-style foldable that reveal a centered punch-hole selfie camera on the outer display, a top-right punch-hole selfie camera on the inner display, along with the placements for the speakers, microphones, SIM tray, and USB-C port.

The second device, the Nubia Flip 3, continues the company’s habit of redesigning its flip phone every generation. The first model had a circular cover display; the Flip 2 switched to a tall rectangular one; and now the Flip 3 render shows a full-width outer screen that wraps around the dual cameras. It looks somewhat similar to the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 – just one of the cutouts is much smaller than the other on Nubia’s design.

One interesting detail is the dual-LED flash, which sits on the lower half of the back instead of next to the camera module. Honor made a similar choice on the Magic V Flip 2, and while the placement will look odd and somewhat less practical to some, it does clear up space for the larger cover display.

There’s still no word on specs or pricing, and the launch timeline is wide open. Nubia could announce these devices before the end of 2025, or hold them for early 2026. To recall, the first- and second-gen flip models launched in February 2024 and January 2025, respectively. Either way, the leak makes it clear the brand is gearing up to push into both major foldable categories at once.

Nubia has quietly launched a new smartphone called the V80 Design in several Asian markets, including the Philippines and Malaysia. The phone was introduced alongside the Nubia Air in these regions.

The V80 Design is a budget smartphone that borrows the rear camera layout from recent iPhones. The camera bar stretches across the entire width of the device, and, interestingly, Nubia has also placed the flashlight on the right edge, just like on the iPhone 17 Pro models.

Nubia V80 Design Overview

On the front, the device features a 6.75-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It also houses a 16MP selfie camera.

At the back, you get a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Yes, the third cutout is purely decorative.

Powering the device is a Unisoc T7280 chipset with a 2x Cortex-A75 (2.2GHz) and 6x Cortex-A55 (1.8GHz) CPU configuration, paired with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

On the software side, it runs MyOS 16 based on Android 16. Keeping everything running is a 5000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. For biometrics, the phone uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and includes a single loudspeaker for audio.

Interestingly, the V80 Design retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and features dual microphones for voice input. Charging is handled via a USB Type-C port.

Nubia is also offering its Linkfree technology on the V80 Design, a Bluetooth-based communication feature that enables text messaging and voice calls within a certain range. However, this functionality likely requires another device with Linkfree support.

Pricing and Availability

The Nubia V80 Design comes in Midnight Black, Pale Amber, Celadon Cyan, and Peach Fuzz color options. The body is rated IP64 for dust and splash resistance.

In Malaysia, the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at MYR 570 (around $140). In the Philippines, the base 4GB + 256GB model costs PHP 5,800 (about $100), while the 8GB + 256GB version costs PHP 6,500 (about $110).

As a side note, the device closely resembles the recently leaked ZTE Blade V80 Vita, suggesting that ZTE might rebrand and launch it under a different name in other markets.

Nubia recently unveiled the Nubia Z80 Ultra and the Red Magic 11 Pro series powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It appears that the brand is now gearing up to launch one more flagship phone before the end of this year. The said device, which bears the model number P0110, has appeared in the database of Geekbench and Chinese certification platforms such as 3C and CMIT.

Nubia P0110 Geekbench, 3C listings emerge

As seen above, the Geekbench listing reveals that the Nubia P0110 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Although the chip’s name isn’t mentioned explicitly, the CPU and GPU details available on the listing are enough to confirm that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The device, whose final moniker is still under wraps, has 16GB of RAM and runs on Android 16. In the single-core and multi-core tests, the device scored 2,673 and 7,596 points, respectively.

The 3C certification of the device revealed that it may ship with a 94.5W charger. It has also passed China’s MIIT certification, but the listing has not revealed anything significant. According to a tech blogger, the Nubia P0110 is a gaming phone but not part of the Red Magic series. It is designed to rival the recently released Snapdragon 8 Elite phones such as the Redmi K90, iQOO Neo 11, OnePlus Ace 6, and Realme GT 8.

Back in October, Zhang Lei, Vice President of ZTE and General Manager of Nubia’s flagship products, claimed that the OnePlus 15’s anti-glare glass finish and scratch-resistant coating would particularly appeal to users who prefer using their phones without cases. In the same post, he mentioned that the company’s upcoming product, scheduled for launch in December and referred to as a “national gaming phone,” will also feature the same rear panel technology. The device will come with a scratch-resistant surface that can be easily cleaned with a single wipe, along with a design specifically optimised for gaming.

However, Zhang emphasized that the rear panel design is just the tip of the iceberg. The real focus lies in refining the gaming experience through software and hardware optimization. He hinted that this new device will offer a premium feel and powerful gaming performance at a more affordable cost.

The Z80 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. A 35 percent larger vapor chamber cooling system helps maintain consistent performance. The built-in RedMagic Gaming Engine supports low latency, stable frame rates, and a dedicated Gamespace mode for gaming.

Nubia’s latest premium phone appears quite similar to its predecessor. So you still get a rectangular camera module on the rear with a large cutout for the main sensor. The device has a flat side, front, and rear panel. It measures 8.6mm thick and weighs 227 grams, with an IP68 + IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. Nubia’s Z80 Ultra arrives in multiple color options, namely Phantom Black, Condensed Light White, and Starry Night Collector’s Edition. There is even a Luo Tianyi Limited Edition variant, which features a bright red design.

Nubia is preparing the Z80 Ultra, its next camera-focused flagship, and the company has started dropping hints about what to expect. The new device will follow the Z70S Ultra, which launched earlier this year with an under-display selfie camera and a main lens designed to mimic the look of a 35mm camera.

According to Nubia manager Zhang Lei, the Z80 Ultra will once again feature a display without a notch or punch-hole, keeping the full-screen experience intact. The front camera will still sit under the panel, but improvements to the technology should deliver clearer selfies and reduce the hazy effect that earlier versions sometimes produced. The display itself is expected to refresh at 144Hz, with touch sampling speeds that can peak as high as 3,000Hz in gaming mode.

As for imaging improvements, the phone features a larger 1/1.55-inch ultrawide sensor, compared to the 1/2.88-inch sensor used in the Z70 Ultra, Z70S Ultra, and many competing flagships such as the Xiaomi 17 Pro (1/2.76-inch) or the Galaxy S25 Ultra (1/2.5-inch). Nubia is highlighting that the Z80 Ultra doesn’t compromise on its ultrawide camera—an area where many rivals still cut corners—giving its system a clear advantage in certain shooting scenarios.

Company executives also confirmed that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which delivers gains across CPU, GPU, and AI performance. Qualcomm says the chip offers around 20% faster CPU speeds, a 23% boost in GPU performance, and a 37% improvement in NPU efficiency.

The battery capacity is rumored to increase to 7,100mAh, up from the 6150 mAh of the Z70 Ultra and 6600 mAh of the Z70S Ultra. The Z80 Ultra is tipped to arrive in November.

Qualcomm has taken the wraps off its latest mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, during its annual Snapdragon Summit in Maui, Hawaii. And if you thought last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite was powerful, this one is on another level.

Qualcomm says the Gen 5 brings a serious bump across CPU, GPU, AI, and camera performance, and it’s already starting to show up in new devices.

The first phone to use the new chip is the Xiaomi 17 series, which launched last night in China. But Xiaomi is just the beginning. More than a dozen brands are lined up to ship phones with the Gen 5, including iQOO, Realme, OnePlus, Honor, Nubia, RedMagic, Oppo, Vivo, Samsung, and ZTE.

So, what’s inside this chip? At the heart is Qualcomm’s third-gen Oryon CPU, with a prime core clocked at up to 4.6GHz. Qualcomm claims a 20 percent performance gain and up to 35 percent better efficiency compared to last year. 

The Adreno GPU also gets a 23 percent boost, which should help with smoother ray-traced gaming. And Qualcomm’s Hexagon NPU is getting a big bump too—37 percent more throughput for on-device AI. That means faster photo editing, generative tools, and smarter assistants right on your phone.

Now that the chip is official, let’s see the phones that will soon arrive with it.

iQOO 15

iQOO has confirmed it will launch the iQOO 15 in October in China. It will be the world’s first smartphone to feature Samsung Display’s new 2K LEAD OLED panel. The screen is said to be up to 740 percent brighter than previous panels while consuming 44 percent less power.

The phone will also pack a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and wireless charging, a triple-camera setup with a 100x telephoto lens, and iQOO’s dedicated Q3 gaming chip alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Oh, and there’s RGB lighting on the back plus a color-changing rear panel.

Realme GT 8 Pro

Realme has its own claim to fame. The company confirmed that the GT 8 Pro will be India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone. On AnTuTu, Realme says it’s already pushing 4 million+ points.

The GT 8 Pro is said to feature a 2K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 7,000 nits of brightness. Powering it will be a massive 7,000mAh battery, reportedly paired with 120W fast charging. As for cameras, it could include a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 12x lossless zoom.

OnePlus 15

OnePlus is also ready to jump into the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 party with its upcoming OnePlus 15. This time, it looks like OnePlus is chasing that ultra-premium vibe. The phone is confirmed to feature 1.15mm ultra-thin bezels around a flat display that supports a 165Hz refresh rate.

Inside, the phone will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, up to 16GB of RAM, and Android 16 with either ColorOS 16 (China) or OxygenOS 16 (global). Battery capacity is expected to hover around 7,000mAh, with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

For cameras, OnePlus seems to be keeping things more practical. It could feature a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a periscope telephoto, and an ultrawide. The company has already shared some official photo samples, hinting at better low-light performance.

Honor Magic 8 series

Honor has been heavily teasing the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro on Chinese social media, with a clear focus on the cameras. The Magic 8 Pro in particular is rumored to feature a 200MP telephoto lens with 12x zoom, a 23mm main camera, and a dedicated camera button.

Both phones will run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and Honor is adding its own AI flavor with features like Magic Color, which uses AI to simplify and enhance image processing. The phones are expected to launch in China this October, with a global release to follow later.

Nubia Z80 Ultra

Nubia has long been pushing under-display selfie cameras in its flagship phones for years now, and the upcoming Z80 Ultra continues that trend. This flagship will once again ditch notches and punch holes for a seamless display. 

The panel will have 144Hz refresh rate support and up to 3,000Hz touch sampling in gaming mode. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Gen 5 chip, of course, paired with a rumored 7,100mAh battery.

RedMagic 11 Pro

Nubia’s gaming-focused sub-brand is also preparing the RedMagic 11 Pro series, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The phones will be IP68 rated for water and dust resistance and will still keep their built-in cooling fan.

The 11 Pro has also appeared in benchmarks with 3,309 single-core and 10,742 multi-core scores on Geekbench, with 16GB RAM and Android 16. It’s still early days for details, but if past RedMagic phones are anything to go by, expect shoulder triggers, RGB lights, and gamer-friendly extras.

What about Samsung and others?

While brands like Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, and Sony are also confirmed partners, their Gen 5-powered devices won’t arrive until later. Samsung’s big play will likely be the Galaxy S26 Ultra in early 2026, which is rumored to use the same OLED screen that debuts on the iQOO 15.

Vivo and Oppo tend to roll out their Snapdragon flagships in the first half of the year, so announcements are more likely to come sometime in 2026.

Nubia has officially launched the Nubia Air, a slim and trim smartphone that measures just 5.9mm thick. It arrives only a day after another Chinese maker, Tecno, announced the Pova Slim 5G. What’s interesting is that both are mid-range devices costing less than $300, despite the effort the brands have put into making such slender bodies.

Nubia Air Specifications 

The Nubia Air carries a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also reaches an eye-catching 4,500 nits peak brightness and comes protected with Gorilla Glass 7i.

The display feels flagship-level, but Nubia has cut costs on performance. Inside, the phone runs on an entry-level Unisoc T8300 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM (virtually expandable by another 12GB) and 256GB of storage. 

The camera setup on the device includes a 50-megapixel main shooter supported by EIS and joined by two secondary sensors. The front has a 20-megapixel selfie camera. Nubia has also packed in plenty of AI-powered tricks, like AI Super Night, HDR, VLOG mode, Magic Editor, and Magic Eraser, for people who like editing on the go.

What’s surprising is how rugged this thin device claims to be. The Nubia Air has IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, meaning it’s protected against dust, water, and even high-pressure sprays. It also includes AI tools for real-time translation during calls, face-to-face conversations, and even AI noise and echo cancellation to improve call clarity.

Powering everything is a 5,000mAh battery, though Nubia hasn’t shared details on charging speeds yet.

Nubia Air Price and Specifications

The Nubia Air is priced at $279 (around Rs. 24,600) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The sales will begin in Europe this month, followed by Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and more regions later this year. Color options include Titanium Black, Streamer Black, and Titanium Desert.

As can be seen above, an upcoming Nubia phone bearing the model number NX741J has been approved by China’s MIIT authority. It is speculated that this device could be called the Nubia Z80 Ultra when it hits the market.

According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the upcoming Z80 Ultra will feature a customized upgraded periscope telephoto camera alongside a “photographer’s edition” primary camera. It is also expected to house a very large battery of around 7,000mAh capacity. While the other specs of the device remain a mystery, it is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.

To recall, the Nubia Z70 Ultra was unveiled in November 2024. With CMIIT certification already done, it appears that the Z80 Ultra may launch as early as next month (October) in China.

While Chinese flagships like the Xiaomi 16 series, Honor Magic 8 lineup, OnePlus 15, Realme GT 8 series, and iQOO 15 are anticipated to feature the standard version of the chip, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to debut with an overclocked variant known as the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy. The Galaxy S26 Ultra recently surfaced on Geekbench with this enhanced version, and now the upcoming Nubia Red Magic 11 Pro has appeared on Geekbench with the regular edition, confirming its configuration for the first time.

The above image showcases the Nubia Air in a champagne gold finish, featuring a minimalist yet modern design. The front features a punch-hole display surrounded by thin bezels, and its back houses a Google Pixel phone-like horizontal camera module with three lenses, an LED flash, and a red-colored sensor.

On the bottom, there’s a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, a microphone, and a SIM tray, while the top includes a secondary microphone. According to the leaked document, the Nubia Air will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1224 x 2720 pixels. It will run Android 15.0 and will be powered by the Unisoc T8300 octa-core processor. The device will pack 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, and carry a 5000mAh battery.

After entering the Indian market in 2015, ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia launched several smartphones, including the Nubia Z9 Mini, Z11 Mini, Z11, N1, Z11 MiniS, M2 Lite, N1 Lite, Z17 Mini, N2, M2, and M2 Play. The Z17 Mini, released in 2017, was the last regular smartphone from the brand in India. Between 2018 and 2019, Nubia introduced a couple of Red Magic gaming phones in the country before exiting the Indian market entirely. Recently, brands such as Acer and Alcatel have re-entered the Indian market by partnering with Indian-based manufacturing companies. It appears that Nubia may be planning a comeback using a similar strategy.

Three Nubia phones bag BIS certification in India

As seen in the screenshot above, new Nubia smartphones with model numbers Z2460, Z2462N, and Z2464N have recently received BIS certification in India. These are being manufactured by SkyQuad Electronics & Appliances Pvt. Ltd, a company based in Telangana.

These model numbers correspond to the Nubia Music 2, Nubia Focus 2 5G, and Nubia Neo 3, all of which have already been launched in other countries. Their BIS listings suggest that they could be the first devices marking Nubia’s return to the Indian smartphone market. As of now, there is no official announcement from Nubia regarding its comeback in India.

The Nubia Neo 3 5G is a budget-friendly gaming phone equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen, a Unisoc T8300 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging, a 16-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup, RGB lighting, gaming shoulder triggers, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. This phone was also introduced in Indonesia with an IDR 2,449,000 (~$150) price tag.

The Nubia Focus 2 5G has a 6.7-inch IPS LCD HD+ 120Hz display, a Unisoc T760 chip, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of built-in storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W charging support, a 16-megapixel front camera, a 108-megapixel triple camera unit, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. This phone is available in Indonesia for IDR 2,000,000 (~$120).

The music-focused Nubia Music 2 is a budget-friendly phone, which is priced at MYR 389 (~$90) in Malaysia. The major highlight of this phone is that it is equipped with a DTX-S Ultra-enabled 2.1 channel audio system featuring three full-range speakers. It comes with other features, such as spatial audio, 95dB max volume, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of specs, it features a 6.7-inch LCD HD+ 120Hz screen, a Unisoc T7200 chip, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging, and a 50-megapixel main camera. It lacks support for 5G connectivity.

Considering the pricing of these phones, Nubia is likely aiming its phones at the Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 price segment.

Nubia has officially launched the Nubia Pad Pro for global markets, following its debut in China earlier this year. The tablet enters the premium Android slate segment with high-end hardware, a slim all-metal build, and modern productivity features.

Nubia Pad Pro Specifications

The Nubia Pad Pro features a 10.9-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, resulting in a sharp 309 PPI density. The display supports a 144Hz variable refresh rate and an 840Hz touch sampling rate, which should deliver responsive performance for gaming and multitasking. It is a 10-bit panel certified for ZREAL True Color HD, promising rich and accurate colors for both productivity and media consumption.

Under the hood, the Pad Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The tablet can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Nubia claims an AnTuTu score of 2.32 million for the device, aided by a six-layer heat dissipation system featuring thermal gel, copper foil, and graphene.

The tablet comes pre-installed with Android 15, topped with Nubia’s MyOS 15.0 interface. Its software enables cross-terminal interconnection for smooth interaction with smartphones, PCs, and other devices. The Pad Pro can also function as a wireless secondary display for PC setups.

The camera setup is fairly minimal. On the rear, the Pad Pro sports a 13MP camera, while the front houses a 20MP sensor optimized for video calls and selfies.

Inside the slim 7.3mm chassis, Nubia has packed a large 10,100mAh battery. It supports 66W fast charging over USB Type-C. The Pad Pro weighs just 523 grams, making it highly portable for its class.

In terms of audio, the tablet features a quad-speaker setup with DTS:X Ultra sound effects. Connectivity options cover Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and NFC. Nubia also offers a 78-key magnetic keyboard accessory that provides a laptop-style typing experience with 1.3mm key travel, a glass touchpad, and an adjustable tilt mechanism. The keyboard is sold separately for $110.

The Nubia Pad Pro is offered in three configurations.

Nubia Pad Pro: What does it offer?

The Chinese brand’s latest tablet sports a tall 10.9-inch LCD screen that has a high 2.8K resolution and a 155Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Nubia claimed a score of 2.32 million points on AnTuTu for the Chinese variant, so the Nubia Pad Pro would likely offer similar performance thanks to the identical specifications.

Powering this tablet is a massive 10,100mAh battery pack, which supports 66W wired fast charging. Despite its hefty hardware and large battery, the Nubia Pad Pro measures just 7.3mm in thickness and weighs 523 grams in weight. The Chinese variant debuted with a premium all metal body, so the global version likely has a similar chassis. Other notable features include a quad speaker setup with DTS X sound effects, and AI powered features.

The company has announced the Nubia Pad Pro in the German market as of right now, with pre-orders officially going live on 12th June 2025. Meanwhile, the first sale of this tablet is set to go live on 24th June 2025. Customers who pre-order also get a 20 Euro discount and a protective cover for free, but the official price tag is still unclear.

Nubia’s Red Magic is preparing to launch a new gaming tablet, and early details suggest it could be one of the most powerful compact tablets of the year. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming tablet will feature a custom OLED display measuring approximately 9 inches with a resolution of 2400×1504 pixels.

The device is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is clocked at 4.32GHz. Red Magic is also integrating a built-in cooling fan to maintain stable performance during extended gaming sessions. This move sets the device apart from most other small tablets, which typically rely on passive cooling systems.

Digital Chat Station claims the tablet will have the largest battery ever used in a small-sized tablet. He pointed out that “no other small tablet has a battery capacity that starts with an 8,” suggesting a capacity exceeding 8,000mAh.

In the comment section, the tipster responded to questions about fan-equipped devices. He confirmed that some flagship smartphones already use built-in fans and hinted that more phones with fans and IP68 water resistance could arrive by the end of the year.

Red Magic has already teased the new gaming tablet last month, stating that it aims to meet high user expectations. More official details are expected soon. The company isn’t alone though in this space, as Lenovo Legion, Redmi, and Huawei are also expected to introduce compact tablets with flagship-grade processors in 2025.

Pricing details for the upcoming Red Magic tablet are still unknown, but a reasonable estimate could place it between 3,499 and 3,999 yuan (roughly $485 to $555). Red Magic’s previous Gaming Tablet Pro (known as Red Magic Nova in the global market) launched last September with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition chip, starting at 3,999 yuan. The new model could arrive slightly lower in price due to its smaller size, but the addition of OLED and active cooling may keep it in the same premium range.

Nubia has launched the Z70S Ultra for global markets after releasing it in China last month. The phone focuses heavily on camera performance and is now available for pre-order on the Nubia official website until May 28, 2025.

Nubia Z70S Ultra features

The main highlight is the 50MP custom “Light and Shadow Master 990” sensor from OmniVision. It comes with a 35mm focal length, horizontal and vertical phase detection autofocus, and dual conversion gain HDR. Nubia says this sensor delivers image quality better than standard one-inch sensors.

The phone also has a 64MP periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera that supports macro photography. It includes a physical shutter button, which supports half-press for focus and full-press to capture photos. To enhance the shooting experience, Nubia is also offering a Retro photography kit that includes a case, filter adapter rings, and a camera grip with controls.

The Z70S Ultra features a 6.85-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2688×1216, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 2000 nits peak brightness. The screen supports 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, DC dimming, and 2592Hz PWM dimming.

It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip built on a 3nm process and comes with an Adreno 830 GPU. Storage and memory options include 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, both using LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The phone ships with Android 15 and nubia’s Nebula AIOS 1.5.

Other features include a 16MP under-display front camera, in-display fingerprint sensor, IR sensor, dual stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra, three microphones, and dual X-axis linear motors. It supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB Type-C. The device is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance.

Pricing & availability

The Z70S Ultra packs a 6600mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Pricing starts at $779 for the 12GB + 256GB model and $869 for the 16GB + 512GB model. The Retro kit will be sold separately. The Nubia Pad Pro will launch globally on June 12. Pricing is yet to be announced.

The rear panel features leather-textured material reminiscent of calfskin, enhancing both grip and visual appeal.

What truly sets it apart from other flagship phones is its 1.5K true full-screen display, making it the only Ultra-series phone this year to feature an under-display camera.
