<p>The Mobile World Congress 2023 ended a few days back. But brands are still expected to release new smartphones throughout March.</p>

<p>These handsets range from budget to flagship segments. Around 11 brands are said to debut new phones in the coming days.</p>

<p>A few of these devices have already gone official. However, they will be making their way to more markets this month.</p>

<p>But most of these handsets are brand-new. Some of them are even the most-anticipated releases, such as the Oppo Find X6 series and Redmi Note 12 Turbo.</p>

<p>With that out of the way, let’s take a look at these phones one by one.</p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h2><strong>Upcoming Smartphones in March 2023</strong></h2>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3><strong>Oppo Find N2 Flip</strong></h3>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-find-n2-flip/">Oppo Find N2 Flip</a> was initially announced in China in December. It made its global debut in February. Now, the device is scheduled to release in India.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="682" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1-1024x682.jpg?x10805" alt="OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-" class="wp-image-504742" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1-1920x1280.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-1.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Oppo Find N2 Flip</figcaption></figure>

<p>Oppo has confirmed that it will reveal the pricing and availability of its first clamshell foldable smartphone for India on March 13. It is not known if the product will be available for pre-order on the same day.</p>

<p>Some of the features of this phone include a 6.8-inch 120Hz LTPO foldable display, a 3.26-inch cover display, a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset, a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera, a 4,300mAh battery, and 44W fast wired charging support.</p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3><strong>Poco X5</strong></h3>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-x5/">Poco X5</a> was announced alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro/">Poco X5 Pro</a> for Europe in February. A month later, the device is now set to launch in India on March 14.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="682" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1024x682.jpg?x10805" alt="Poco X5" class="wp-image-517051" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1920x1280.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A.jpg 1931w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Poco X5</figcaption></figure>

<p>The vanilla X5 is the same as the Redmi Note 12 but features a Snapdragon 695 SoC instead of a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip. Thus, it arrives with a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 48MP main camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 5,000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging support.</p>

<div style="height:50px" aria-hidden="true" class="wp-block-spacer"></div>

<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34</strong></h3>

<p><strong>[Update]</strong> Poco has now confirmed that the Poco X5 5G will launch on at 12 PM on March 14 in India. The original story continues&#8230;</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco</a> X5 series made its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/06/poco-x5-5g-x5-pro-5g-with-120hz-amoled-displays-debut-globally/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">global debut</a> in early February. The brand launched two devices for the global market called the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-x5/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco X5 5G</a> and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco X5 Pro</a>. Out of these two, only the Poco X5 Pro was launched in India. However, the brand will soon be launching the vanilla X5 model as it has now released an official teaser.</p>

<p><blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">We delivered MADness for every segment in the year 2023 except for one.<br><br>Guess what is coming neXt? <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/13.1.0/72x72/1f440.png" alt="👀" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><br><br>Stay tuned, revealing soon. <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/13.1.0/72x72/1f608.png" alt="😈" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> <a href="https://t.co/e7a9ye5WPK">pic.twitter.com/e7a9ye5WPK</a></p>&mdash; POCO India (@IndiaPOCO) <a href="https://twitter.com/IndiaPOCO/status/1633402060195471361?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 8, 2023</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>

<p>The teaser doesn&#8217;t outright state the name of the device, however, the hints are enough to guess that it is indeed the Poco X5 5G. Additionally, the brand also reveals that the Poco X5 will be priced below Rs 20,000 ($244) in India. Let&#8217;s take a look at what you can expect to get in this price range.</p>

<p>Earlier this month, Poco <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/06/poco-x5-5g-x5-pro-5g-with-120hz-amoled-displays-debut-globally/">unveiled</a> the Poco X5 series. The lineup consists of two models, namely Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro. Only the latter device was made available in most markets soon after the announcement.</p>

<p>On the other hand, the vanilla variant is being rolled out gradually. The smartphone just went official in Indonesia. Let’s take a look at its price and availability.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="682" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1024x682.jpg?x10805" alt="Poco X5" class="wp-image-517051" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-1920x1280.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Poco-X5-Featured-A.jpg 1931w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The Poco X5 <a href="https://xiaomiui.net/poco-x5-5g-launched-in-indonesia-starts-at-idr-3399k-43560/">arrives</a> in two memory configurations in Indonesia. It is priced at IDR 3,399,000 (~$225) and IDR 3,899,000 (~2$60) for 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants, respectively.</p>

<p>The handset can be availed in either black, green, or blue color options. It can be purchased from Poco Indonesia’s official website, Shopee, and Erafone.</p>

<p>Talking about features, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-x5/">Poco X5</a> is almost the same as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-12-indian-variant/">Redmi Note 12</a>. The only difference is that is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset instead of a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC.</p>

<p>The phone sports a 6.67-inch centered punch-hole 120Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) and up to 1200 nits peak brightness. It boots <a href="https://gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-13/">MIUI 13</a> for <a href="https://gizmochina.com/tag/Poco/">Poco</a> based on <a href="https://gizmochina.com/tag/Android-12/">Android 12</a> and comes with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.</p>

<p>The device houses a triple-camera system on the rear consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, it has a 13MP shooter for selfies and video calls.</p>

<p>The smartphone offers multiple connectivity options, such as dual-SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and USB Type-C. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a shared MicroSD card slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.</p>

<p>The Poco X5 draws energy from a 5,000mAh battery. Finally, it carries support for 33W fast wired charging.</p>

<p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/tags/poco">POCO </a>is all set for the launch of the POCO X5 series in the market. The launch stage is all set and the event will go live on February 6th, 2023. The series will include two smartphones; <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/01/24/poco-x5-geekbench/">POCO X5</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/01/24/poco-x5-pro-specs-price-leak/">POCO X5 Pro</a>. The top-end model will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset. Anyways, the real-life images of the forthcoming POCO X5 5G have been leaked ahead of the official launch. The images leaked reveal the complete look and form factor of the device.</p>

<p>Coming down to the leaked images of the upcoming POCO X5 5G device, the images reveal the device in a greenish kind of colour. The back comes with a matte finish and a huge camera island on the top side. The camera bump and the branding of POCO can be seen aligned vertically on the island. The camera housing is very similar when compared to the Redmi K50i device. It houses three different camera lenses in a triangular shape along with an LED light. The 48-megapixel branding can also be seen inside the bump. The images have been leaked by <em>Marquim dos eletrônicos</em> (a phone shop in Brazil) on the internet.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="628" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/image-1-1024x628.png?x10805" alt="POCO X5" class="wp-image-512648" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/image-1-1024x628.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/image-1-300x184.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/image-1-768x471.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/image-1-696x427.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/image-1-685x420.png 685w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/image-1.png 1058w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>So that was all the leaked images revealed about the device. Regarding specifications, tons of rumours and leaks are already up on the internet regarding the specifications of the device. The device will reportedly have a 6.67-inches SuperAMOLED display with FullHD+ 2400*1080 pixel resolution and up to 120Hz high refresh rate support. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. As for the cameras, there would be three different lenses on the rear a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixels secondary ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixels macro lens at last. There would be a 13-megapixels selfie snapper.</p>

<p>The device will have a 5000mAh battery and will enable 33W fast wired charging. The smartphone will be available worldwide on February 6th, 2023. The POCO X5 model, on the other hand, will not be available in India. Instead, the POCO X5 Pro smartphone will be released in India. That brings us to the end of our discussion of the POCO X5 leaked image. What are your thoughts on the matter? Please let us know by leaving a remark in your own words down below.</p>

<p>The renders reveal two color options for the vanilla Poco X5 5G &#8211; Grey &amp; Green. The design of the device is exactly the same as the Redmi Note 12 5G with POCO&#8217;s signature style modification. The design similarity with the Note 12 5G is to be expected as the Poco X5 5G is said to be a rebranded version of it.</p>

<p>The POCO X5 Pro&#8217;s aesthetics also match the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, of which the X5 Pro is said to be a rebrand. <p>POCO&#8217;s upcoming X5 series of smartphones is expected to launch soon in multiple markets. Although the brand hasn&#8217;t made any official announcements about the launch date yet, rumors state that the Indian launch could take place on February 6.</p>

<p>Ahead of the launch, both POCO X5 and POCO X5 Pro have appeared on Bulgarian retailer – CityTel’s website. The specifications and design of the new POCO X5 series smartphones are revealed in the shop listings. On the retailer&#8217;s website, however, pictures of the POCO X4 GT and POCO X4 Pro are displayed.</p>

<h2>POCO X5 Pro specs</h2>

<p>The listing reveals that the Poco X5 Pro will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device measures 162.1 × 76 × 7.9mm and will weigh 181 grams.</p>

<p>Moving on, the device will feature a 108MP primary camera paired with an 8MP unit and a 2MP unit. We can expect the latter two to be ultra-wide and a portrait camera, respectively. The phone will have a 16MP front camera for taking selfies and making video calls.</p>

<p>Geekbench has the POCO X5 listed with the model number 22111317PG. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC will power the phone&#8217;s international model. 2.21GHz is its maximum clock speed. An Adreno 619 GPU is combined with the SoC to provide graphics. The variant shown on Geekbench has 8GB of RAM. We may anticipate POCO releasing the handset with 6GB of RAM as well.</p>

<p>Android 12 is preinstalled on the Poco X5. Most likely, MIUI 13 will be installed by default. If not immediately, POCO will probably deliver an OTA update carrying Android 13 in the upcoming weeks. The single-core and multi-core Geekbench scores for the X5 5G were 693 and 2113, respectively. </p>

<p>Other details are still under wraps, however, considering that the device will be based on the Redmi Note 12, we can expect it to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, an 8-megapixel front camera, and 48-megapixel triple rear cameras. A 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging capabilities, LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage may be included.</p>

<p>The Chinese smartphone maker&#8217;s next gen X series of devices are set to launch sometime soon and prior to any official announcement, it was spotted being used by Indian Cricketer Hardik Pandya. This model appears to be the POCO X5 Pro in the yellow variant. The Indian T20 Cricket team captain can be seen using the phone and also making a call from the X5 Pro. Furthermore, the brand has also announced a fan meetup for the launch of its new X series of handsets in Delhi.</p>

<p>This fan meetup will take place on 22nd January 2023. So we can expect the official unveiling of the device to follow soon after in the coming weeks. Looking at the images, we can see the rear panel of the POCO X5 Pro, with its rear camera module being in clear view. As of right now, the new smartphone is already being teased on major e-retailer platform like Flipkart and even <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/01/18/poco-x5-series-launch-seems-imminent-global-landing-page-appears-on-aliexpress/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AliExpress </a>that has started teasing the phone for the global markets.</p>

<p>From what we know so far, the X5 Pro 5G model is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition, which is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. On the rear, the smartphone is also expected to feature a 108 megapixel primary camera. So stick around for more, as we will be covering additional teasers or any announcements that surface ahead of the launch.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco">Poco</a> is expected to unveil the Poco X5 series of smartphones i<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/01/06/poco-x5-pro-launch-india-end-january-specifications-leaked/">n the coming weeks</a>. So far, the rumor mill has leaked a lot of information about the Poco X5 and X5 Pro. Latsly, the design of the Poco X 5 Pro has been leaked.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi Poco X5 Pro design revealed in official teaser and alleged live image leak</strong></h3>

<p>Poco has recently teased its upcoming Poco X5 Pro, on Flipkart with the tagline &#8220;Are You Ready To Unleash Your Rebel?&#8221;. The teaser reveals the design of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco-x5-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco X5 Pro</a> to an extent, showing consistency with both an existing Redmi model and a supposed live image of the Poco X5 Pro that leaked a few days ago.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-1024x768.jpeg?x10805" alt="Poco x5 Pro" class="wp-image-508546" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-300x225.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-768x576.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-696x522.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-1068x801.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-1920x1440.jpeg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-560x420.jpeg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-80x60.jpeg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed-265x198.jpeg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/xiaomi-poco-x5-pro-design-revealed.jpeg 2048w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Poco X4 Pro 5G debuted in Q1 2022 and Xiaomi already looks geared to launch a direct successor to that device. The Poco X5 Pro is coming, as evidenced by its recent appearances at various certification websites, and its design now appears to have leaked online.</p>

<p>The leaked design of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco-x5-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco X5 Pro</a> suggests that the phone will sport three rear cameras in a triangle-shaped arrangement. Going by this design, the Poco X5 Pro could share a chassis, at least, with the Redmi Note 12 Pro models that debuted in China recently. The leaked image also confirms that the Poco X5 Pro will come equipped with a 108 MP main camera. Other specs could include a Snapdragon 778G, a 5000 mAh battery, and a 120 Hz FHD+ AMOLED.</p>

<p>In conclusion, it seems that the X5 Pro is set to be a powerful and stylish device, with a design that is consistent with other recent Xiaomi models. The phone&#8217;s specs and features, including the 108 MP main camera, suggest that it will be a great option for photography enthusiasts. The Poco X5 Pro is expected to launch soon, and fans of the brand are eagerly waiting for its official release.</p>

<p>Rumors suggest that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco">Poco</a> X5 series will be available in India as early as the end of this month. The lineup will have two phones, such as the Poco X5 and the Poco X5 Pro. Both models have now received certification from the TDRA certification platform, which indicates that it may not take too long for these devices to go official.</p>

<p>The TDRA listings of the Poco X5 and X5 Pro do not reveal anything significant about their specifications. Reports have claimed that the Poco X5 could be a tweaked version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-12/">Redmi Note 12 5G</a>. While the Note 12 has the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, the Poco variant may come equipped with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-695">Snapdragon 695</a> chipset.</p>

<p>Redmi recently unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-12-pro-speed/">Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition</a> in the Chinese market. This device is likely to be rebranded as the Poco X5 Pro 5G. Apart from releasing in India, both X5 models are expected to arrive on the global market too.</p>

<p>Both phones will have a side-facing fingerprint scanner. They may come preloaded with the Android 13 OS and MIUI 13.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco">Poco </a>X5 and X5 Pro are expected to launch in January or February 2022 in the global market including India. There have been speculations that the Poco X5 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 5G. New information shared by tipster Kacper Skrzypek <a href="https://twitter.com/kacskrz/status/1608085395354357761">reveals</a> that it will be quite similar to the Note 12 5G but will pack a different chip. In addition, he also shared vital information about the Poco X5 Pro.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco X5</strong></h3>

<p>According to the tipster, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-12/">Redmi Note 12 5G</a>, which is available in the Chinese variant, will also release in the global market with the same name. As far as the Poco X5 5G (codenamed &#8220;moonstone&#8221;) is concerned, he claimed that it shares the same ROM as the global version of the Redmi Note 12 5G. However, the X5 has a different chipset. While the Redmi model is equipped with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-4-gen-1">Snapdragon 4 Gen 1</a> chipset, the Poco X5 will arrive with the Snapdragon 695. He added that since both chipsets have the same Qualcomm platform, making one ROM for both SoCs is possible.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2.jpg?x10805" alt="Redmi-note-12-5G-2" class="wp-image-505472" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Redmi Note 12 5G</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>He did not mention the other specifications of the Poco X5 5G. But it appears that it may borrow the rest of its specs from the Redmi Note 12 5G. <p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco">POCO</a> is reportedly working on the POCO X5 series of smartphones. The lineup is expected to include two models, the POCO X5 and the POCO X5 Pro. The vanilla model has been busy bagging certifications in different countries. It has been previously spotted at certification platforms like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/11/11/poco-x5-5g-bis-fcc-launch-soon/">FCC</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/12/02/poco-x5-5g-poco-x5-pro-5g-redmi-note-12-5g-sirim-certified-global-launch-soon/">SIRIM (Malaysia)</a> and BIS (India). Now, it has been approved by the NBTC authority in Thailand.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Poco X5 5G 22111317PG 22111317PI bags NBTC &amp; BIS Indian certification, expected to launch next month in India.<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Xiaomi?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Xiaomi</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/PocoX5?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#PocoX5</a> <a href="https://t.co/Agpwt0aj6e">pic.twitter.com/Agpwt0aj6e</a></p>&mdash; Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) <a href="https://twitter.com/yabhishekhd/status/1607910455733014530?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">December 28, 2022</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<p>The POCO X5 has appeared with a 22111317PG model number in NBTC’s database. None of the certifications of the X5 has revealed any concrete information on its specifications. However, the model number of the device suggests that it could be a rebranded or tweaked version of the Redmi Note 12 5G available in the Chinese market.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-12/">Redmi Note 12 5G</a> has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design. It has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It comes preloaded with Android 12 and MIUI 13.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2.jpg?x10805" alt="Redmi Note 12 5G" class="wp-image-505472" width="753" height="502" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Redmi-note-12-5G-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 753px) 100vw, 753px" /><figcaption>Redmi Note 12 5G</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The back panel of the device has a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth assist lens, and an LED flash. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.</p>

<p>The Note 12 5G is powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-4-gen-1">Snapdragon 4 Gen 1</a> mobile platform. In China, the device is available with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is no microSD card slot on the device.</p>

<p>Yesterday, Redmi unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/12/27/redmi-k60-and-redmi-k60-pro-launched-price-and-specifications/">Redmi K60 series of smartphones</a> in China. The event also saw the arrival of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the POCO X5 Pro could be a rebranded or tweaked edition of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/12/27/redmi-note-12-pro-speed-edition-with-snapdragon-778g-108mp-camera-launched/">Note 12 Pro Speed Edition</a>. Rumors have it that the POCO X5 series will debut either this month or in February in different markets.</p>
