Yesterday, Google announced the Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 smartphones in the U.S. India which is one of the major smartphone markets will not be receiving the two smartphones. 5G networks have not started in India and this could be the reason why Google will not be bringing the Pixel 4a and Pixel 5 in the country. A fresh tweet from Google reveals that the Pixel 4a that was announced in August will hit the Indian markets on Oct. 17.

The official post on the Google India blog that was published after the launch of the Google Pixel 4a last month had stated that it will be releasing in India in August through Flipkart. The pricing of the device for India is yet to be confirmed. Soon after the announcement of the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, Google responded to a Twitter user that the Pixel 4a will be releasing in India on Oct. 17. As mentioned before, it will be available through Flipkart.

The Google Pixel 4a will be arriving as the successor to the Pixel 3a. The Snapdragon 670 powered Pixel 3a had landed in India back in May 2019 with a price tag of Rs 39,999 (~$544). Probably, the Pixel 4a will also carry a similar price tag.

The Moto G9 Plus was briefly listed on the website of a European operator a few days ago. While the listing did reveal most of the key specifications of the upcoming device, it didn’t say the processor. Now, a Google Play Console listing has revealed what was hidden.

According to the listing which was first spotted by Pricebaba, the Moto G9 Plus will be powered by the Qualcomm SM7150 mobile platform. While the listing does say that it is the Snapdragon 730 processor, it may turn out to be the Snapdragon 730G as both chipsets have the same SM7150 part number. If you were to ask us which chipset it is, we will choose the Snapdragon 730G.

The listing confirms the phone has just 4GB of RAM, a 1080p display, and will run Android 10 out of the box.

Motorola will ship the phone with a 6.81-inch screen that has a hole in the top left corner of the screen. On the back of the phone will be a 64MP quad-camera setup and under the hood is a 5000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. Other features are dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.0, and support for a MicroSD card.

We expect Motorola to announce the device anytime soon and availability should follow shortly after.

Redmi will be launching the Redmi K30 5G phone on Dec. 10. Speculations surrounding the K30 series have claimed that it will include three devices such as Redmi K30 (4G), Redmi K30 5G and Redmi K30 Pro 5G. It is speculated that Redmi won’t be announcing the Redmi K30 Pro on Dec. 10.  The K30 Pro could be unveiled in early 2020. Hence, there is a possibility that the Dec. 10 launch event will be used to announce 4G and 5G editions of the Redmi K30. A tipster from India has shared the leaked specs of the Redmi K30 4G phone today.

Redmi K30 Specifications (Rumored)

According to the leak, the Redmi K30 will be equipped with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with dual punch-hole design. The display of the phone will support 120Hz refresh rate as it was in seen in the leaked shots of the Redmi K30. It will be fueled by Snapdragon 730G processor which is the same SoC that fueled the predecessor Redmi K20 phone.

The pill-shaped punch-hole of the Redmi K30 has a 32-megapixel primary lens that is accompanied by a ToF sensor for 3D face recognition. The rear shell of the phone h a quad camera setup that includes a 60-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary shooter, an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor, a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel sensor.

The Redmi K30 will include a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports 27W fast charging. The MIUI 11 based Android 10 OS will come preloaded on the device. Other features of the phone include 64GB of internal storage for starting variant, 3.5mm audio jack, IR blaster and NFC.

The Redmi K30 5G edition could be featuring the upcoming Snapdragon 735 5G chipset and the device could be priced at around 2,500 Yuan (~$355). The Redmi K30 Pro could be driven by the Dimensity 1000 5G chipset that was announced earlier today, and it may be costing 3,000+ Yuan (~$426). Xiaomi will be launching the Mi Note 10 smartphone in Poland on Nov. 14.  It is said to be the global version of the Mi CC9 Pro that will be debuting on Nov. 5. Xiaomi has released a new poster today to reveal the details of each camera sensor that are present in the penta-lens setup of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10.

In the below shown image, a vertical camera module can be seen on the top-left corner of the device. It constitutes the 5-megapixel super telephoto lens at the top that offers up to 5x digital. The second one is a 12-megapixel portrait lens and third lens is the 108-megapixel primary shooter. After a gap, there is an ultrawide lens of 20-megapixel and a separately placed 2-megapixel macro lens.

The exact same camera system is present on the rear side of the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro. The 108-megapixel lens and super telephoto lens are both equipped with dedicated OIS. The five cameras are also coupled with two dual LED flash units.

According to a Chinese tipster, the 5-megapixel lens is Omnivision OV08A10. The said lens is an 8-megapixel sensor. However, the phone seems to be equipped with a modified version of the sensor. The 12-megapixel portrait lens is Samsung’s S5K2L7 sensor. The 108-megapixel lens is the popular Samsung ISOCELL Bright S4KHMX lens. The 20-megapixel superwide lens is a Sony IMX350 sensor.

The 2-megapixel macro lens can capture 1.5cm focal length macro shots, claims the company. The phone supports 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom.

Xiaomi is yet to reveal the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10. However, is expected to sport the same specs that are available on the Mi CC9 Pro.

The Mi Note 10 is fitted with a 6.47-inch OLED display that is curved towards its left and right edges. It features a waterdrop notch that houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The full HD+ resolution display is embedded with an in-screen fingerprint reader.

Two new Realme phones with model numbers RMX1931 and RMX1993 have been spotted on Bluetooth SIG database. The specifications of the RMX1993 are not mentioned in the listing. However, the listing has key details on the specs of the Realme RMX1931 phone which appears to be the first Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone from the company.

The RMX1931 has a 6.55-inch display that supports full HD resolution. It is fueled by an octa-core processor from Qualcomm that works at 2.84GHz. The 1,950mAh battery size that is mentioned in the listing seems to be incorrect. The handset is equipped with some other features such as Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, fingerprint scanner and ColorOS 6.1. Earlier today, OPPO took to Weibo to confirm that it will be holding OPPO Reno2 series of smartphones in China on Sept. 10. The handset with model number PCKM00 / PCKT00 was recently spotted with its entire specifications on TENAA. The PCKM00 was recently spotted on Geekbench and today the same model number has surfaced on AnTuTu with some key specs.

The PCKM00 OPPO phone’s AnTuTu appearance has revealed that is fueled by Snapdragon 730G SoC that tags along Adreno 618 GPU. The chipset is coupled with 8 GB of RAM. The handset is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. The listing has no information on the size of its display. However, it states that the phone offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

The OPPO Reno 2 AnTuTu listing shows that it has recorded a score of 259,109. The Redmi K20 that is powered by Snapdragon 730 had scored 218,625. It suggests that OPPO has optimized the performance of the SD730G chip on the Reno2. AnTuTu has claimed that the Reno2 has scored 95561, 71241, 46844 and 45063 respectively in CPU, GPU, memory and UX benchmarks.

Master Lu, a benchmarking platform for smartphones from China has released its list of top 10 best performing smartphones for July 2019. The list includes some smartphones that are powered by new chipsets such as Snapdragon 855+, Kirin 810, Snapdragon 730, Snapdragon 730G and Helio P65. The list is led by the ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G gaming smartphone.

The Axon 10 Pro 5G leads Master Lu’s best performing smartphones list with 409,008 score. It is followed by Snapdragon 855+ powered ASUS ROG Phone 2 gaming smartphone with a score 390,015. Placed on the third position is the Snapdragon 845 powered iQOO Neo gaming phone with a score 330,801. Master Lu claimed since the benchmarked ROG Phone 2 was an engineering unit, it recorded a low score. Probably, the final product is benchmarked, it may take over the numero uno position on Master Lu benchmarks list. By next month, the list may include new phones like Black Shark 2 Pro and iQOO Pro 5G phones that are powered by Snapdragon 855+.

The Huawei Mate 20 X 5G with 299,866 score is on fourth. It is fueled by the Kirin 980 chipset. The fifth position goes to Kirin 810 chipset powered Honor 9X Pro. It has recorded a score of 267,339. Redmi has recently launched the Redmi 7A entry-level phone in India with a starting price of Rs. 5,999 and now its all set to announce the Redmi K20 series on July 17. The company has timed the launch two days after the Realme X launch which is scheduled to take place on July 15. The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are currently only available in China. Redmi had recently confirmed that it has sold 1 million units of the Redmi K20 series in the home market. Since Redmi phones are highly popular in India, the K20 and K20 Pro are expected to break sales record in the country.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 and K20 Pro Specifications

The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro have notch-less full HD+ AMOLED displays of 6.39 inches that are integrated in-screen fingerprint sensor. The rear side of these phones feature 3D curved glass. Both phones have 20-megapixel pop-up selfie cameras. They are equipped with 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel triple camera setup. The Redmi K20 has Sony IMX582 primary lens whereas as the Redmi K20 Pro features Sony IMX586.

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are both powered by 4,000mAh batteries. The K20 supports 18W rapid charging whereas the Pro model supports 27W fast charging. The K20 handset is fueled by Snapdragon 730 while the Snapdragon 855 is present under the hood of the K20 Pro handset.

After officially leaking the entire specifications of the Lenovo Z6 smartphone for a month, the company has officially launched it discreetly today. The Lenovo Z6 comes with a tall aspect ratio display and a powerful 8nm chipset. It also features a large-sized battery, impressive triple rear cameras and it comes with an attractive starting price of 1,899 Yuan (~$276).

Lenovo Z6 Specifications and Features

The Lenovo Z6 measures 157 x 74.5 x 7.97 and weighs 159 grams. The smartphone features a 3D glass rear and series-6000 aluminum frame. Like the Snapdragon 855 powered Lenovo Z6 Pro that was announced earlier this year, the newly unveiled Lenovo Z6 has a 6.39-inch OLED display with waterdrop notch with 1080 x 2340 pixels full HD+ resolution and support for 600nits brightness. It delivers a tall aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and screen space of 93.1 percent. The display comes with support HDR10+, DCI-P3 color gamut and 120Hz sampling rate. The screen of the Lenovo Z6 is embedded with 6^th generation in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Snapdragon 730 which is currently the next best SoC after the Snapdragon 855 fuels the Lenovo Z6. The smartphone features 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB of built-in storage. A dedicated slot for expanding the storage of the phone through a microSD card is available on the smartphone.

The upper-left corner of the Lenovo Z6’s glass rear is flanked with a vertical triple camera unit and an LED flash. It features a Sony IMX576 24-megapixel main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 1.8micron pixel size, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and 8x hybrid zoom and a 5-megapixel lens for adding depth effects. Samsung had announced the Galaxy A80 smartphone with flip camera through a global unveil event in Thailand in April. The smartphone was expected to release in wider markets in May, but its arrival was delayed. Through a press release, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy A80 is now available for purchase in different markets. The handset will be also available for purchase in India later in this month.

The Galaxy A80 is available for buying in some of the European markets with 649 euros (~$732) price tag. In Malaysia, it carries a price tag of RM 2,500 (~$603). The smartphone comes in color editions like Angel Gold, Phantom Black and Ghost White.

An IANS report states that the Product Planning Group’s Head of Innovation for Samsung, Yeon Jeong Kim has revealed that the Galaxy A80 smartphone will be releasing in India in this month. A landing page for the smartphone on the Samsung India website also suggests that its arrival is close at hand. Unlike the M-series that is exclusively available for buying online, the Galaxy A80 will be purchasable through offline channels. Yeon said to IANS, “Our target is to maintain the top position in the Indian smartphone market. If we win the Indian market, we can win any global market. Indians love technology, therefore, we launch many of our products here and would continue to do so.”

Samsung Galaxy A80 Specifications and Features

The Samsung Galaxy A80 has a massive 6.7-inch notch-less Super AMOLED New Infinity Display that offers a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. It offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It is the first smartphone ever to feature the Snapdragon 730G chipset. The SoC is coupled with 8 GB of RAM.

The Lenovo Z6 is scheduled to launch on July 4 in China. It is smartly positioned between the flagship Lenovo Z6 Pro, which is powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset and the more affordable Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition that comes with a Snapdragon 710 SoC. Chang Cheng, Vice President of the Lenovo Group, announced the launch of the Z6 along with its entire technical specification, leaving little to the imagination, barely 48 hours before the official launch.

Based on what can be observed from the post, the Z6 resembles the Z6 Youth Edition in many ways. Starting from the waterdrop notch up front to the triple camera setup at the rear. However, unlike the Youth Edition, the Z6 has an in-display fingerprint sensor. Like the Z6 Youth Edition, the Z6’s roll cage is made out of a magnesium alloy, which Lenovo also uses on their ThinkPad Notebooks.

Lenovo Z6 Specifications and Features

According to the poster that was shared by Cheng on Weibo, the Lenovo Z6 features a 6.39-inch OLED display covering 93.1 percent of the smartphone’s body. This is possible thanks to the extremely thin bezels and the waterdrop-style notch. Lenovo uses an HDR10 certified display with full coverage of the DCI-P3 and the sRGB color schemes. Lenovo has also provided a sampling rate of 120Hz on the screen, which should help reduce in-game latency. The Lenovo Z6 also features the De-Mura screen coloring technology, along with Gorilla Glass certification for guaranteed safety.

The Z6 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset, based on the 8nm process with the Kryo 470 core that can run as high as 2.2GHz, along with the Adreno 618 GPU and 8GB of RAM. The device features 128GB of built-in storage and is expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card.

Yesterday, Xiaomi had confirmed through a poster that apart from launching the CC9 and CC9e smartphones, it will be also announcing the CC9 Meitu Custom Edition phone on July 2. The rumor mill has already revealed the entire specs, variants and pricing of the CC9 and CC9e phones ahead of launch. However, nothing much is known about the CC9 Meitu Custom Edition. Today, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared some key details of the phone.

In November 2018, Xiaomi had entered a strategic partnership with Meitu. Hence, the upcoming CC series of smartphones born out of collaboration between the two companies will be powered with photography algorithm from Meitu. The CC9 and probably the CC9e will be arriving in fascinating colors like White Lovers and Dark Blue Planet. Jun has confirmed today that the CC9 Meitu Custom Edition will be sporting a special color. The CC9 and CC9e phones may feature image optimizations from Xiaomi, but the CC9 Meitu Custom Edition’s photography prowess will be powered by Meitu.

Lenovo Group VP Chang Cheng has been confirming on the specs and features of the upcoming Lenovo Z6 since the past few days. It is already known that the Lenovo Z6 will be arriving with a 6.39-inch display. Today, he has shared a new poster which contains more details on the display of the smartphone.

First of all, the poster confirms that the Lenovo Z6 will be featuring a waterdrop-style notch enabled screen like the Lenovo Z6 Pro and Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition smartphones. The handset is equipped with a 6.39-inch OLED display. With narrow bezels surrounding the display, the smartphone promises 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display carries support for HDR 10, DCI-P3 color gamut, 600nits of brightness and 120 Hz high sampling rate.

The display of the Lenovo Z6 is equipped with De-Mura screen colorization technology that restores the brightness difference of each pixel on the display to deliver great viewing experience with uniform color and brightness. The OLED screen features sixth-generation in-display fingerprint scanner that can unlock the device in just 0.13 seconds, claims the company. Lastly, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. However, the company did not confirm on its exact version.

Jun has shared two renders of the dark blue version of the smartphone. He claims that its real device looks much better than the renders. He has also released a video to showcase the beauty of the blue variant. He has claimed that the designing team has put lot of efforts in designing the rear texture and pattern on the Mi CC9 smartphone.

The Dark Blue Planet edition of the Xiaomi Mi CC9 has wavy pattern on the glass rear. Depending on the reflection of the light, the pattern seems to appear prominent when viewed from different angles. Xiaomi CC’s product manager Lao Wei has claimed that only a video can truly show the fascinating design of the smartphone. Jun has claimed that the Mi CC9 will come in more colors. The Lenovo Z6 smartphone will be debuting soon in China. Ahead of its launch, Lenovo Group VP Chang Cheng has been sharing vital information on the smartphone. He has recently confirmed that the smartphone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 730 chipset and it will feature a 4,000mAh battery. Today, it has confirmed design details of the smartphone. He has also claimed that the Lenovo Z6 will be arriving as the world’s lightest smartphone with 4,000mAh battery.

Cheng has confirmed that the Lenovo Z6 has a 6.39-inch display. Probably, it could be sporting a waterdrop notch like the other Z-series from the company such as Lenovo Z6 Pro and Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition. In the image below, he shared a list of smartphones with similar-sized display and battery. The list is led by the upcoming Lenovo that weighs only 159 grams. Second on the list is the Lenovo Z6 Youth that measures 164 grams. It houses a 6.3-inch display and 4,050mAh battery. The Z6 sports a slim profile of 7.97mm which is second to the Z6 Youth Edition that measures 7.88mm in thickness.

So, how did Lenovo manage to pack a large display and a big battery inside the lightweight Lenovo Z6? Well, the company claims to have used the Rollcage design of the ThinkPad laptops for the smartphone. The company claims that the Lenovo Z6 has a durable and drop-proof 6000-series aluminum frame.

The rear shell of the Lenovo Z6 is curved towards the edges. The mid-frame with its G2+ curvature increases the elegance of the device. In addition, the Z6 smartphone has nano-coating made possible through ICM process. The company has employed 10 layers of NCVM vacuum nano-coating, and each layer has been treated with vacuum purification. This allows the Lenovo Z6 to sport a 3D effect on its rear.

Xiaomi Mi CC9 is launching on July 2. Aimed towards the selfie lovers, the handset will be arriving with a 32-megapixel front camera. The rear side of the phone will be equipped with 48-megapixel triple cameras. Today, Xiaomi CC product manager Lao Wei shared an image of a white colored version of the smartphone to not only confirm the color variant, but also to reveal its rear design.

As it can be seen, the white edition of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi CC9 has a gradient finish to it that reflects faint shades of blue, purple and pink. The new image gives the first look at the smartphone. The glass rear of the phone is curved at all four sides.

The rear shell of the Mi CC9 is equipped with a triple camera setup at the top-left corner. The rear shell of the phone lacks a fingerprint scanner. Rumors surrounding the Mi CC9 have revealed that it will be sporting an AMOLED screen with in-display fingerprint scanner.

There seems to be a 3.5mm audio jack and a SIM card slot on the top edge of the Mi CC9. The right edge of the phone has a volume rocker and a power key. Another image that was shared by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shows that it will be equipped with a pair of external speakers with a USB-C in between.

According to Jun, being a trend setting smartphone, the Mi CC9 has to sport a good design. He added that this time Xiaomi’s “Art Students” team designed the romantic white version of the Mi CC9. While Jun has dubbed the model as Romantic White, it may not be the actual name of the color variant since Wei has asked to choose a suitable name from options like Dream White, White Dream Mirror and White Lovers for above shown color variant.

The Mi CC9 is expected to house a full HD+ 6.2-inch display with waterdrop notch and it could be fueled by Snapdragon 730 chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM and 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging. The triple camera setup of the phone will have Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary sensor and it may include a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 12-megapixel sensor. The handset may come with up to 256 GB of native storage and it is expected to run on a custom version of MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie OS for CC series. It may release with a starting price of 2,599 Yuan in China. A lower version of the phone dubbed as Mi CC9e is also rumored to go official alongside it.

Earlier today, the Chinese firm released a poster on Weibo to confirm that Mi CC9 will be coming with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Also, a newer Weibo post confirms that the smartphone will house a 48-megapixel Sony camera sensor on its rear.

The Weibo post that accompanies the below shown poster reads that the 32-megapixelfront camera of Mi CC9 can “restore the natural skin texture” and it can “record the beauty of each moment.” The Mi CC9’s front camera with powered with Meitu’s AI imaging algorithm for capturing impressive selfie shots.

Xiaomi has shared selfie images of its female employees on Weibo to show the selfie capabilities of the Mi CC9 smartphone. The has claimed that the phone will feature a function that will make it possible to snap handsfree selfies. The promotional posts of Mi CC9 mainly feature females including the Lao Wei who is the product manager of Mi CC9 series. Hence, it appears that the upcoming Mi CC9 and CC9e could be targeted towards female users.

The other feature of the Xiaomi Mi CC9 that the company has confirmed today is that it will be arriving with a 48-megapixel Sony Ultra Clear camera. The below image states that the Mi CC series launch event will be held at 7 PM (local time) on July 2 in Beijing, China. The smartphones in the CC series are developed by the Chic & Cool 90 team. After Mi and Redmi, the CC series will be the third smartphone brand from the company.

The phones from Xiaomi CC series will be designed by art students and will be aimed towards the youth. Some reports have claimed that the company may some female oriented phones in the CC series. Lenovo has already launched a couple of smartphones in its Z series this year, which includes the flagship Lenovo Z6 Pro and the watered-down Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition. Now, the company is gearing up to launch the standard edition — Lenovo Z6.

Chang Cheng, Vice President of Lenovo Group, recently shared a teaser image on Weibo which revealed some of the key features of the upcoming Lenovo Z6 smartphone. It said that the phone will come powered by a powerful SoC and now the company has confirmed that the Lenovo Z6 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 (SM7150-AA) is a new processor designed with a focus for mobile gaming. It is an 8nm octa-core chipset which features 2 + 6 core arrangement and comes with Kryo 470 CPUs clocked at 2.2GHz, coupled with Adreno 618 GPU. The company claims that the processor provides a 35 percent increase in performance compared to the previous generation.

It is also the first 7 series processors to feature the Hexagon Tensor Accelerator. There’s also Hexagon 688 DSP which works with the GPU and CPU to complete AI tasks faster and in more power-efficient ways. It features Snapdragon X15 LTE modem offering 800Mbps download speeds and also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+.

The company has already revealed that the phone will feature an AI-powered triple camera by Sony. The Chinese text for the display information mentioned on the image translates to “color laser screen.” Since the Lenovo Z6 Pro and Z6 Youth Edition are equipped with waterdrop-like notch display, the Lenovo Z6 could be also equipped with the same kind of display design, probably with a 6.3-inch display.

While the exact battery capacity of the smartphone is not yet known, it is speculated to be fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery. The teaser image states that the rechargeable battery of the phone can last for up to 2 days on a single charge. Now the company is prepping up to launch the Lenovo Z6 smartphone. Earlier this month, Lenovo Group VP Chang Cheng had shared teaser images of the Lenovo Z6 phone. Today, he has shared an image that reveals some of the key features of the phone.

The first thing that can be confirmed through the image is that the Lenovo L78121 model number that has been spotted on the database on China’s 3C and TENAA as well as on Geekbench belongs to the Lenovo Z6 smartphone. Without revealing the exact name of the processor, the image reveals that the phone is powered by “God U” processor. Probably, it could be hinting that the Lenovo Z6 is fueled by a powerful processor.

The Geekbench listing of the Lenovo Z6 that had appeared earlier this week did not carry the name of its chipset. However, the benchmarking scores and base frequency recorded by the processor suggested that the Lenovo Z6 could be powered by the Snapdragon 730. The only other phones that feature the SD730 chip include Xiaomi Mi 9T (aka Redmi K20 in China) and Samsung Galaxy A80.

Staying true to its promise, the Chinese firm has today introduced the CC series in collaboration with Meitu. The new series is expected to be aimed towards selfie-centric users. The first CC series device that is expected to debut soon is codenamed as “Little Fairy.”

Xiaomi is known for selling phones with impressive specs at nominal prices whereas Meitu phones have always carried topnotch selfie shooting capabilities. Hence, it appears that the forthcoming Xiaomi CC smartphones will come with selfie-centric features and will carry affordable price tags. Now that the company has introduced the new series, it will soon start teasing on the features of the first CC smartphone in the coming days.

Some reports have claimed that the Xiaomi CC series could be targeted towards female audience. The “Little Fairy” codename also suggests Xiaomi and Meitu AI Aesthetics Laboratory will team up to launch customized smartphones for female users.

In November 2018, Meitu better known for its selfie app and selfie-focused smartphone entered a strategic partnership with Xiaomi. The collaboration allows Xiaomi to build, design and promote new phones with Meitu’s image-related algorithms.

It is speculated that the Lenovo L78121 phone that was approved in May with 18W fast charging could be the Lenovo Z6 smartphone. The smartphone has appeared on TENAA, but the specifications and images are still not available yet. Today, the Lenovo L78121 has appeared on Geekbench to confirm some of its key specs.

The Geekbench listing of the Lenovo L78121 has revealed that it will come preloaded with Android 9 Pie OS. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor that clocks at 1.8 GHz. The SoC is supported by 8 GB of RAM. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, the Lenovo L78121 has respectively scored 2556 and 6763 points.

The Lenovo Z6 will be positioned between the Lenovo Z6 Pro flagship phone that is powered by Snapdragon 855 mobile platform and Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition that is driven by the Snapdragon 710 chipset. Hence, there is a possibility that a processor that is more powerful than the SD710 may fuel the Lenovo Z6. Rumors have it that the Lenovo Z6 could be featuring the 8nm Snapdragon 730 chipset. It is the very same SoC that powers the Samsung Galaxy A80 and Xiaomi Mi 9T smartphones.

The Snapdragon 730 comprises of dual Kryo 470 cores working at 2.2 GHz and hexa Kryo 470 cores clocking at 1.8 GHz. Since the base frequency in the Geekbench listing of Lenovo L78121 is mentioned as 1.8 GHz, there is a possibility that it could be indeed powered by SD730. The Geekbench listings of Samsung Galaxy A80 and Xiaomi Mi 9T have no mentioning of sdm730 or Snapdragon 730 in the motherboard field. However, their base frequencies are mentioned as 1.8 GHz. More the single-core and multi-core scores of the Lenovo L78121 are similar to Galaxy A80 and Mi 9T.

There is no other information on the specs of the Lenovo Z6 phone. Since the Lenovo Z6 Pro and Z6 Youth are equipped with full HD+ 6.3-inch IPS LCD displays with waterdrop-style notch, the Lenovo Z6 may also come equipped with the same display. It could be also featuring a triple camera setup. The smartphone may house a battery of around 4,000mAh capacity.
