<p>The Vivo X500 series has been leaking in pieces for a while now, and the latest information from <em>Digital Chat Station</em> adds some specifics around the vanilla Vivo X500&#8217;s display, chipset, battery, and cameras.</p>

<p>According to <em>DCS</em>, the current engineering sample of the Vivo X500 sports a 6.59-inch mid-screen flat display, which lines up with earlier reports pegging that size to the standard model. </p>

<p>More interesting is the claim that the X500 will apparently run on 3nm-based Dimensity 9500 (referred to as the DX5), rather than the upcoming Dimensity 9600.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="193" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-Specs-Leak.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo X500 Specs Leak" class="wp-image-741521" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-Specs-Leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-Specs-Leak-300x64.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-Specs-Leak-768x165.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-Specs-Leak-696x149.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Vivo X500 specs as per DCS</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>It could be a deliberate choice by Vivo to make the X500 a slightly affordable option in a lineup where the Pro and Pro Max take the glory.</p>

<p>On the camera front, DCS says the engineering prototype features a 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.28-inch (approximately) footprint. There&#8217;s also a mid-sensor periscope telephoto lens on board.&nbsp;</p>

<p>DCS notes that this could be the same 64MP periscope unit that’s in testing for the X500 Pro, though that&#8217;s still pending confirmation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Last but not least, the Vivo X500 engineering sample is reportedly testing with a 7,500mAh battery (give or take). That&#8217;s a massive cell for a phone with a sub-6.6-inch display, and it fits with<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/20/vivo-x500-pro-max-8000mah-battery-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> earlier reports suggesting the entire X500 family would feature 7,000mAh-plus batteries</a>. The X300 series tops at around 6,510mAh in the Pro model.</p>

<h2><strong>Where the X500 fits</strong></h2>

<p>Vivo is likely building a three-tier ladder with the X500 series. At the top sits the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/06/04/vivo-x500-pro-max-camera-specifications-leaked/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> X500 Pro Max</a>, rumored to feature a 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, a 200MP periscope, and an 8,000mAh battery in a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO panel. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-leak.jpg?x44794" alt="Vivo X500 leak" class="wp-image-741522" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-leak-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-leak-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-leak-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Vivo-X500-leak-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>DCS replies in the comment</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/26/vivo-x500-pro-camera-details-leaked/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> X500 Pro</a> sits in the middle with a compact 6.37-inch form factor, Dimensity 9600, a 50MP LOFIC primary shooter, and a 7,000mAh-plus battery. And the standard X500 rounds things out with a bigger screen than the Pro, the same oversized main sensor, and a monstrous battery, all powered by a slightly less premium chip.</p>

<p>The second half of 2026 could see one of the busiest flagship smartphone launch seasons in recent memory. According to information shared by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, several major Chinese smartphone brands are accelerating their launch plans, potentially setting up a crowded September packed with high-profile flagship announcements.</p>

<h3><strong>September could become the biggest flagship battleground of 2026</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="837" height="208" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-28.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-740832" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-28.png 837w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-28-300x75.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-28-768x191.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-28-696x173.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 837px) 100vw, 837px" /></figure>

<p>DCS claims that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> 18 series is now largely confirmed for a September debut in China. This is not surprising as the company unveiled the Xiaomi 17 series in September 2025.</p>

<p>More interestingly, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo">Vivo</a> X500 series and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oppo">Oppo</a> Find X10 series are also reportedly pushing to launch during the same month. If these plans materialize, September could become a key battleground for premium smartphones from multiple brands.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple">Apple</a> is also expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro lineup and its first foldable device, tentatively referred to as the iPhone Ultra, during the traditional autumn launch season. Launching earlier could give Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo an opportunity to capture attention before Apple&#8217;s announcements dominate headlines.</p>

<p>Xiaomi 18 series, Vivo X500 series, and Oppo Find X10 series: What to expect?</p>

<p>While official specifications remain under wraps, previous leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 18 series could include the Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. The lineup is expected to be among the first to feature Qualcomm&#8217;s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the Vivo X500 family is expected to comprise the Vivo X500, X500 Pro (or Pro Mini) and X500 Pro Max, with a strong focus on camera upgrades and larger batteries. Oppo&#8217;s Find X10 series is also likely to include multiple models, such as the X10, X10 Pro, and X100 Pro Max. Both Vivo and Oppo flagship phones are expected to feature next-generation MediaTek Dimensity 9600 chip.</p>

<p>Which upcoming flagship series are you most excited about: Xiaomi 18, Vivo X500, Oppo Find X10 or Apple&#8217;s next-generation iPhone lineup?</p>

<p>The Oppo Find X9 series includes multiple devices, and all of them are equipped with 7,000mAh+ batteries. However, on the other side, only one <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo">Vivo</a> X300 series smartphone has crossed the 7,000mAh battery mark. A new leak by tipster Smart Pikachu reveals that Vivo may finally bring bigger batteries to the X500 lineup.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo X500 series to pack 7,000mAh+ batteries</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="971" height="227" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-80.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-738372" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-80.png 971w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-80-300x70.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-80-768x180.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-80-696x163.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 971px) 100vw, 971px" /></figure>

<p>According to the tipster, Vivo is expected to adopt high-density battery technology more extensively, with even its flagship X-series devices reportedly entering the “7-series” battery capacity range, hinting at batteries starting at around 7,000mAh.</p>

<p>In China, the X300 lineup includes four devices: the X300 and X300 Pro, which are powered by 6,040mAh and 6,510mAh batteries, respectively. These devices were unveiled in October last year. The X300s and X300 Ultra, which went official last month in China, are equipped with 6,000mAh and 7,100mAh batteries, respectively.</p>

<p>So far, reports have revealed that Vivo may launch three X500 series models in September this year in China. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/13/vivo-x500-series-display-sizes-leak/">lineup may include</a> the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500">Vivo X500</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-pro">X500 Pro</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-pro-max">X500 Pro Max</a> with 6.59-inch, 6.37-inch, and 6.85-inch displays, respectively.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-ultra">Vivo X500 Ultra</a>, which may debut next year in the first half, could sport the same display as the X500 Pro Max. While the Ultra edition may feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro</a>, the other X500 series devices could be equipped with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600">Dimensity 9600</a> series chipsets.</p>

<p>The Vivo X500 series will also reportedly include a model <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/08/vivo-x500-x500-pro-and-x500e-already-spotted-in-imei-listing/">called the Vivo X500e</a>, but there is no clarity on whether it is heading to China or if it is meant only for the global market.</p>

<p>Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has seemingly leaked the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/13/oppo-find-x10-series-display-sizes-leak/">display sizes of the four devices</a> expected to be part of the upcoming Oppo Find X10 lineup. In the comments section of the same post, the tipster also revealed what appear to be the display sizes of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo">Vivo</a> X500 series. Here’s a look at what the tipster shared.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo X500 series display sizes tipped</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="169" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-71-1024x169.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-738171" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-71-1024x169.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-71-300x49.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-71-768x127.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-71-696x115.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-71-1068x176.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-71.png 1159w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The post suggests that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500">Vivo X500</a> series will feature three display size options, including 6.59-inch, 6.37-inch, and 6.85-inch panels.</p>

<p>It appears that the standard Vivo X500 will feature a 6.59-inch display. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-pro">X500 Pro</a> may come with a 6.37-inch screen, as the device could be positioned as an alternative to the iPhone 18 Pro, which is also expected to feature a similar display size.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-pro-max">Vivo X500 Pro Max</a> may feature a 6.85-inch display. Reports suggest that the Vivo X500 Ultra could debut in the first half of 2027 and may feature the same display size as the X500 Pro Max.</p>

<p>Digital Chat Station claimed in another Weibo post that only the large-screen variant in Vivo’s next-generation 2nm flagship series is currently testing a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. In other words, only the X500 Pro Max may feature the said camera, while the other variants could arrive with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.</p>

<p>The tipster further claims that the prototype device is equipped with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/11/mediatek-dimensity-8600-3nm-chip-leak-2/">a 50-megapixel primary camera featuring a large 1/1.28-inch sensor</a> and LOFIC technology for improved dynamic range and light capture. In addition, Vivo is reportedly considering an upgraded 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera for the lineup.</p>

<p>In related news, a recent report revealed that the lineup may also include <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/08/vivo-x500-x500-pro-and-x500e-already-spotted-in-imei-listing/">a device named the Vivo X500e</a>. However, the technical details of this device remain unknown, and it is unclear whether it will launch in the Chinese market, where the lineup is expected to debut in September.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo X500 Pro Max moniker spotted at IMEI database</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="196" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-55-1024x196.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-737909" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-55-1024x196.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-55-300x58.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-55-768x147.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-55-1536x295.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-55-696x134.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-55-1068x205.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/image-55.png 1626w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>As can be seen in the image shared by the publication, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-pro-max/">X500 Pro Max</a> has also been registered in the IMEI database. The branding suggests that it will be Vivo’s topmost model this year until the rumored Vivo X500 Ultra arrives in the first half of 2027.</p>

<p>Apart from this, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/05/08/vivo-x500-x500-pro-and-x500e-already-spotted-in-imei-listing/">the Vivo X500e, Vivo X500, and Vivo X500 Pro</a> have also been spotted at IMEI database. While the X500 lineup is expected to launch in Spetember this year, it is unclear whether all four models will be unveiled at the same time.</p>

<p>Previous reports have revealed that the X500 Pro Max will feature a 6.9-inch 2K AMOLED screen. Under the hood, it may feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600">Dimensity 9600</a> series chip and a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity with 100W wired and wireless charging support.</p>

<p>In the above Weibo post, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has suggested that the X500 lineup is currently undergoing testing with a focus on significant imaging upgrades. According to latest reports, three models in the Dimensity-powered iteration line are being tested with 50-megapixel main cameras featuring approximately 1/1.28-inch ultra-large sensors. Other reports suggest that this could be the upcoming Sony LYT-838 camera sensor.</p>

<p>Furthermore, the higher-end &#8220;Pro&#8221; and &#8220;Pro+&#8221; (Pro Max) variants, which are referred to as the &#8220;big cup&#8221; and &#8220;extra-big cup” in the leak, are expected to incorporate LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integrator Capacitor) sensor technology. This technology is designed to significantly improve dynamic range and prevent overexposure in challenging lighting conditions.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo/">Vivo</a>’s next flagship lineup is starting to show up online. Fresh entries spotted in the GSMA IMEI database have now confirmed the existence of the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500e. That also means Vivo appears to be skipping the X400 branding entirely.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="695" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Screenshot-2026-03-30-204824-1024x695-1.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-737637" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Screenshot-2026-03-30-204824-1024x695-1.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Screenshot-2026-03-30-204824-1024x695-1-300x204.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Screenshot-2026-03-30-204824-1024x695-1-768x521.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Screenshot-2026-03-30-204824-1024x695-1-696x472.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Screenshot-2026-03-30-204824-1024x695-1-619x420.png 619w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The listings suggest the phones are moving closer to launch and international certification. Leaks surrounding the lineup point toward Vivo continuing its usual formula: strong cameras, premium displays, and a heavy focus on imaging features.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/27/vivo-x500-series-compact-flagship-camera-details-tipped/">standard X500</a> is rumored to feature a 6.37-inch display, while the X500 Pro could use a 6.83-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel with high refresh rates. That would make both devices slightly larger than last year’s X300 (6.31-inch) and X300 Pro (6.78-inch). The lineup is expected to retain the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors.</p>

<p>On the chipset side, Vivo is reportedly sticking with MediaTek again. Early reports suggest the series could debut the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/17/mediatek-dimensity-9600-pro-benchmark-figures-are-out-showing-modest-gains/">Dimensity 9600 family</a>, which is expected to use TSMC’s newer 2nm process. If that ends up being accurate, efficiency and sustained performance could see a pretty noticeable jump compared to current-generation chips.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="728" height="384" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/vivo-x500-series-gsma.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-737635" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/vivo-x500-series-gsma.jpg 728w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/vivo-x500-series-gsma-300x158.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/vivo-x500-series-gsma-696x367.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px" /></figure></div>

<p>Cameras, unsurprisingly, remain the bigger talking point. The Pro models are <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/26/vivo-x500-pro-max-lofic-camera-200mp-periscope-leak/">rumored to feature</a> newer LOFIC sensor technology, which is designed to improve highlight handling and dynamic range in difficult lighting conditions. There’s also talk of a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, something Vivo has been gradually pushing toward over the last few generations.</p>

<p>Nothing here is official yet, but the IMEI listings are usually a good sign that development is moving along steadily. Vivo is expected to unveil the X500 lineup in China sometime around September or October before expanding availability to other regions later on. For now, though, the X500 series already looks like Vivo doubling down on the areas it’s become known for: cameras, battery life, and increasingly ambitious hardware.</p>

<p>The rumor mill is gradually revealing details about the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo">Vivo</a> X500 series, which is expected to launch in China in September this year. Ahead of the launch, a reliable tipster has claimed that the lineup will comprise <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/23/vivo-x500-x500-pro-x500-pro-max-display-sizes-seemingly-revealed/">three models</a>. The same leak also appears to reveal details about the X500 Pro variant.</p>

<h3><strong>Alleged Vivo X500 Pro’s key details tipped</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="243" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-232-1024x243.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-736424" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-232-1024x243.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-232-300x71.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-232-768x182.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-232-1536x364.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-232-696x165.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-232-1068x253.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-232.png 1549w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, an upcoming next-generation flagship smartphone series may include a new “Pro Mini”-positioned model. While the tipster did not explicitly mention the brand name, the device could belong to the upcoming Vivo X500 lineup.</p>

<p>The tipster claims the alleged device could feature a next-generation 2nm flagship chipset along with a new 50-megapixel LOFIC ultra-large primary camera sensor and an upgraded periscope telephoto camera. The chipset being referred to appears to be the upcoming Dimensity 9600.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="169" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-233-1024x169.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-736425" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-233-1024x169.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-233-300x50.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-233-768x127.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-233-696x115.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-233-1068x176.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-233.png 1369w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>In the comments section of the post, a user asked whether the “mini” model could feature a 6.5-inch display instead of a smaller screen. In response, Digital Chat Station reportedly stated that the lineup may include small-screen, medium-sized, and large-screen variants. Therefore, it appears that the compact flagship may feature a 6.4-inch display, which is generally expected from a compact smartphone.</p>

<h3><strong>Speculating on the Vivo X500 series lineup</strong></h3>

<p>Considering that the above-mentioned flagship is expected to feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600">Dimensity 9600</a> chipset, it is possible that this device could launch as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500">Vivo X500</a> Pro. Previous reports suggest that the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500">X500</a> variant may feature the forthcoming 3nm <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9500-plus">Dimensity 9500 Plus</a> chipset, while the large-screen variant could be called the X500 Pro Max.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-pro-max">X500 Pro Max</a> is also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/26/vivo-x500-pro-max-lofic-camera-200mp-periscope-leak/">expected to feature</a> a 6.9-inch (or 6.85-inch) display, a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600-pro">Dimensity 9600 Pro</a> chip, and a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel LOFIC primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.</p>

<p>A recent leak <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/23/vivo-x500-x500-pro-x500-pro-max-display-sizes-seemingly-revealed/">revealed the display sizes</a> of the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo">Vivo</a> X500 series models. While the lineup is expected to include a compact and a large-sized flagship, the brand is also said to be considering adding a mid-sized flagship equipped with a 6.59-inch display. In a new leak, tipster Smart Pikachu has shared details about what appears to be the Vivo X500 Pro Max.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo X500 Pro Max details leaked</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="245" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-226-1024x245.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-736314" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-226-1024x245.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-226-300x72.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-226-768x184.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-226-1536x367.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-226-696x166.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-226-1068x255.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-226-1757x420.png 1757w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-226.png 1853w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Vivo X500 series details leaked by Smart Pikachu</figcaption></figure>

<p>According to the leak, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500">Vivo X500</a> series will be offered in two display size options, including 6.4-inch and 6.9-inch variants. The leak suggests that the latter could be called the Vivo X500 Max.</p>

<p>This Pro Max variant is reportedly being tested with a 50-megapixel LOFIC primary camera. For those unfamiliar, LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) is a sensor technology designed to prevent pixel overexposure in bright environments by storing overflow electrons in a capacitor, significantly improving dynamic range.</p>

<p>The camera setup on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-pro-max">Vivo X500 Pro Max</a> is also said to include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The leak further claims that Vivo is evaluating the inclusion of a multispectral sensor to improve color accuracy and white balance. While the leak does not specifically mention it, the setup may also include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera.</p>

<p>According to other reports, the Vivo X500 could be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600">Dimensity 9600</a> chipset, while the Vivo X600 Pro Max may feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600-pro">Dimensity 9600 Pro</a> chipset. Speculation suggests that the standard Dimensity 9600 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/03/oppo-find-x10-series-chipset-leak/">could be a 3nm chip</a> based on an enhanced version of the existing Dimensity 9500+ architecture. Meanwhile, the Pro variant is tipped to feature a newer 2nm-class architecture with a dual ultra-core setup and clock speeds approaching 5GHz for significantly improved performance and power efficiency.</p>

<p>As for the launch timeline, the Vivo X500 series may debut in China in September this year. The same event is also expected to see the arrival of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/14/vivo-x500-series-with-vlogging-camera-may-launch-in-september-s60-lineup-may-support-telephoto-extender/">company’s first vlogging camera</a>.</p>

Interestingly, reports claim the company may skip the X400 branding entirely due to the number four being considered an unlucky symbol in some Asian markets. The upcoming lineup is also expected to become the first to feature MediaTek’s next-generation Dimensity 9-series flagship chipsets.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo X500 series display sizes tipped</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="230" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-187-1024x230.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-735988" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-187-1024x230.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-187-300x67.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-187-768x173.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-187-696x157.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-187-1068x240.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-187.png 1165w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Vivo X500 series display sizes tipped by DCS</figcaption></figure>

<p>According to a new leak shared by tipster Digital Chat Station, Vivo could introduce three different display sizes for the X500 lineup this year. The leak mentions a 6.37-inch 1.5K flat display with LTPO technology, a larger 6.85-inch 2K LTPO flat panel, and a 6.59-inch 1.5K LTPS flat display that is reportedly still under evaluation.</p>

<p>Likely, the LTPO panels could be reserved for the Pro models in the lineup, while the LTPS panel may appear on the standard variant. Therefore, the compact 6.37-inch screen could belong to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-pro">Vivo X500 Pro</a>, while the larger 6.85-inch display may power the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-pro-max">Vivo X500 Pro Max</a>. The remaining 6.59-inch panel could potentially be used for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500/">the Vivo X500 Pro</a>. However, the final naming strategy for the lineup has not yet been confirmed.</p>

<p>The Vivo X500 lineup is also expected to feature upcoming flagship chipsets from MediaTek. Reports claim that the standard Vivo X500 could be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600">Dimensity 9600</a> chipset, while the Pro and Pro Max variants may arrive with the more powerful <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600-pro">Dimensity 9600 Pro</a> processor.</p>

<p>Apart from these models, Vivo is also expected to expand the lineup next year with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x500-ultra/">Vivo X500 Ultra</a> and Vivo X500s for the Chinese market. Reports suggest that the X500 Ultra could arrive as the ultimate flagship powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, while the X500s may launch as an upgraded version of the standard X500 model during the first half of 2027.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-1024x1024.jpeg?x44794" alt="DJI Osmo Pocket 3" class="wp-image-734597" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-1536x1536.jpeg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-696x696.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-1068x1068.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-420x420.jpeg 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image.jpeg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>DJI Osmo Pocket 3</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Alongside plans for camera expansion, Vivo also hinted at a new device focused on self-recording, which appears to be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/05/vivos-new-vlogging-camera-could-be-a-dji-osmo-pocket-rival/">rumored vlogging camera</a>. The company acknowledged that while rear cameras offer strong video capabilities, users who shoot vlogs or live content often depend on action cameras or external accessories.</p>

<p>To address this, Vivo is preparing a new solution expected to arrive with the next-generation X series in Q3. Early indications suggest a compact, pocket-style device with built-in stabilisation, designed to offer a more convenient setup for creators who prefer filming themselves.</p>

<p>The next X-series is tentatively dubbed the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo">Vivo X500</a> series and is now expected to launch in Q3. To recall, the X300 series was announced in October last year, but with the X500 lineup now shifting earlier, it appears that both the new flagship range and the company’s first vlogging camera could debut around September in China. The vlogging camera may rival the DJI Osmo Pocket 4, which is launching this week globally.</p>

<h3><strong>Telephoto extender could reach S60 series</strong></h3>

<p>In China, Vivo is offering external telephoto extender accessories like the G2 and G2 Ultra for the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x300-ultra">Vivo X300 Ultra</a>. These attachments are designed to improve long-distance photography, especially in challenging situations such as concerts or stadium seating. Han Boxiao explained that, rather than making photography more complex, these accessories aim to address practical limitations by helping users capture distant subjects more effectively.</p>

<p>Vivo is also working towards a more standardised mounting system for these accessories. The company is considering bringing similar support to its youth-focused S series. This could align with the upcoming S60 series in China. However, Huang Tao noted that such a move depends on whether these devices can maintain consistent image quality with the extender, suggesting that performance remains a key condition. As far as launch is concerned, the S60 lineup is expected to launch in May or June this year in China. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo/">Vivo</a>’s next flagship lineup may take a slightly different approach when it comes to performance. A recent leak suggests the upcoming Vivo X500 series could arrive with two separate flagship chipsets, giving the standard and Pro models different performance levels. The company is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/06/vivo-x500-moniker-dimensity-9600/">expected</a> to skip the Vivo X400 series entirely, jumping straight from the X300 lineup to the X500 generation.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/MediaTek-Dimensity-9600-1-1920x1209-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-730551" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/MediaTek-Dimensity-9600-1-1920x1209-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/MediaTek-Dimensity-9600-1-1920x1209-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/MediaTek-Dimensity-9600-1-1920x1209-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/MediaTek-Dimensity-9600-1-1920x1209-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/MediaTek-Dimensity-9600-1-1920x1209-1-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/MediaTek-Dimensity-9600-1-1920x1209-1-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/MediaTek-Dimensity-9600-1-1920x1209-1-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/MediaTek-Dimensity-9600-1-1920x1209-1.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>For reference, the current Vivo X300 series, which launched in October 2025, uses the same processor across both models. The X300 (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/21/vivo-x300-full-review-the-most-suprising-standard-flagship-this-month/">our review</a>) and X300 Pro are <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/02/vivo-x300-and-x300-pro-launched-in-india-specs-price/">powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500</a>, so there’s no major performance split between them. That may not be the case this time.</p>

<p>The latest leak claims MediaTek is preparing two flagship Dimensity chips for 2026: the Dimensity 9600 and a higher-end Dimensity 9600 Pro. Vivo could be among the first brands to use them.</p>

<p>Exact differences between the two chips are still unclear for now, but the Pro version would likely offer stronger CPU and GPU performance, along with improvements in AI processing or power efficiency.</p>

<p>A split-chip strategy like this would also fit into a broader trend that’s starting to appear in the smartphone industry. Qualcomm, for example, is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/11/oneplus-16-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro-200mp-periscope-leak/">rumored</a> to be working on a similar idea with its upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="306" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Vivo-X500-series-leak-q82-w1112-h-1024x306.webp?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-730550" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Vivo-X500-series-leak-q82-w1112-h-1024x306.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Vivo-X500-series-leak-q82-w1112-h-300x90.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Vivo-X500-series-leak-q82-w1112-h-768x229.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Vivo-X500-series-leak-q82-w1112-h-696x208.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Vivo-X500-series-leak-q82-w1112-h-1068x319.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Vivo-X500-series-leak-q82-w1112-h.webp 1112w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Beyond the processor, another rumored change involves the battery. Some early reports suggest the X500 series could move to batteries around the 7,000mAh mark, which would be a noticeable jump compared with the previous generation if it turns out to be true.</p>

<p>Of course, none of these details have been officially confirmed yet. The Vivo X500 lineup is still months away, with a launch likely sometime in late 2026.</p>

<p>For now, the information should be treated as early speculation. As the launch window gets closer, more details about the devices — and MediaTek’s next Dimensity chips — will probably surface through additional leaks.</p>

<p>Upcoming flagship smartphones expected to launch around September in China may introduce a major hardware-level privacy feature aimed at protecting screen visibility, according to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station. This tech appears to be similar to what Samsung is advertising for its Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is slated to launch next week. If accurate, it may represent a shift from software-based privacy tools toward integrated hardware solutions designed to prevent onlookers from viewing sensitive content.</p>

<h3><strong>Hardware-level anti-peep display coming to upcoming flagships</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="771" height="211" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-113.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-727937" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-113.png 771w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-113-300x82.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-113-768x210.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-113-696x190.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 771px) 100vw, 771px" /><figcaption>DCS tips new &#8220;spy-screen&#8221; technology on the Chinese flagship phones</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>According to DCS, domestic smartphone manufacturers are currently testing an advanced “anti-peeping” screen that works at the hardware level. The translated leak suggests that this forward-looking design is being evaluated for next-generation flagship phones scheduled for around September this year.</p>

<p>Unlike traditional privacy screen protectors or software filters, this approach is said to rely on native display technology to reduce visibility from side angles, potentially improving privacy in public environments.</p>

<p>So far, reports suggest that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/Xiaomi-18">Xiaomi 18</a> series powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-X500">Vivo X500</a> lineup featuring the Dimensity 9600 are expected to launch in September. Likely, these devices could feature the new hardware-level privacy display if testing proves successful.</p>

<p>Last year in October, Oppo unveiled its Find X9 lineup, and this year the company may introduce the Find X10 series in October, while Honor could follow with the Honor Magic 10 series. Other flagships like the iQOO 16, OnePlus 16, and Realme GT 9 Pro are also expected to debut around the same period. It remains to be seen whether these devices will include the feature.</p>

<p>Recent reports around the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s26-ultra">Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra</a> indicate that the device may introduce a built-in privacy display designed to limit viewing angles at the hardware level, helping prevent shoulder surfing in crowded places. Reports suggest the technology may rely on advanced OLED panel control to selectively obscure content when viewed from the side, instead of using external accessories.</p>

<p>Early information indicates that this feature could offer customization options such as automatically activating during sensitive tasks or hiding specific screen elements like notifications or passwords. If successful, it may encourage other manufacturers to adopt similar solutions, especially as smartphone privacy becomes an increasingly important selling point in flagship devices.</p>

<p>Among the S26 lineup, it is only the Ultra edition that is said to arrive with a new hardware-level privacy feature. Therefore, Chinese smartphone OEMs may offer this feature only on their Pro Max or Ultra branded flagships.</p>

<p>Last year, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> unveiled the Xiaomi 18 series in the same month as the first phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in China. On the other hand, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo">Vivo</a> introduced the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro as the world’s first phones featuring the Dimensity 9500 chip in China. It appears both brands could once again be among the first to launch flagship phones equipped with next-generation flagship chipsets this year.</p>

<h3><strong>September launch window and chipset plans</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="450" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-77-1024x450.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-726635" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-77-1024x450.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-77-300x132.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-77-768x338.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-77-696x306.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-77-1068x470.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-77-955x420.png 955w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-77.png 1148w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, Dimensity 9600 phones to launch in September, claims DCS</figcaption></figure>

<p>According to tipster Digital Chat Station, new smartphones powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6</a> series and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600">MediaTek Dimensity 9600</a> series are currently scheduled for a September debut. Interestingly, the tip suggests that brands planning to introduce these next-generation chipsets are preparing to offer three versions as standard practice, namely a regular model, a Pro variant, and a Pro Max edition.</p>

<p>To recall, the Xiaomi 17 lineup, which debuted in September 2025, included three models: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17">Xiaomi 17</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17-pro">17 Pro</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17-pro">17 Pro Max</a>. These models are likely to be succeeded by the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max in the same month this year.</p>

<p>While Vivo announced the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x300">Vivo X300</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x300-pro">X300 Pro</a> in September last year, it appears that this year’s lineup may launch earlier and is likely to include three models, such as the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. Rumors suggest that the X400 branding may be skipped, as the number 4 is considered an unlucky number in some Asian countries.</p>

<p>Readers should note that the tipster has not specified any device names in the leak. The Oppo Find X10 series is also expected to include the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/03/oppo-find-x10-series-chipset-leak/">Find X10, X10 Pro, and X10 Pro Max</a> powered by the Dimensity 9600. So, it remains unclear whether the tipster was referring to Oppo or Vivo as the other brand alongside Xiaomi. However, in recent years, Vivo has often been the first brand to launch MediaTek’s latest flagship chipsets, so the second brand mentioned in the leak could be Vivo. Readers are advised to treat this information cautiously.</p>

<p>In today’s leak, DCS also cautions that the company expected to debut the new chip in September is unlikely to ship its device with the SM8975, also referred to as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro</a>, as a standard configuration. The reason cited is the extremely high cost of the 2nm chipset, which could significantly impact pricing.</p>

<p>Here, the tipster may be suggesting that Xiaomi will not launch a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro-powered phone in September. Previous leaks have claimed that this chip is designed for ultra-premium devices and is likely to power the Xiaomi 18 Ultra, which may debut by the end of this year in China.</p>

<p>We have already heard a few early rumors about the Vivo X500 series. For instance, the flagship lineup is expected to pack a<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/14/vivo-x500-series-is-tipped-with-a-7000mah-battery/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> massive 7,000mAh battery</a>. A new claim now suggests Vivo is also going all-in on high-resolution displays.</p>

<p>According to prominent tipster <em>Digital Chat Station </em>on Weibo, Vivo has decided to make 2K resolution standard across its flagship phones. The leaker says the company is “going all in on 2K resolution.” As a result, Vivo’s upcoming flagships will likely all have 2K flat screens.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="210" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-display-leak.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-725442" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-display-leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-display-leak-300x70.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-display-leak-768x179.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-display-leak-696x162.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The possibility extends to the iQOO 16 as well, as it is also a flagship device from the company’s sub-brand.</p>

<p>Another well-known leaker, <em>Panda is Bald</em>, has echoed the same claim, lending some additional weight to the rumor. They also expand the discussion to other manufacturers’ upcoming devices.</p>

<p>According to the tipster, Oppo’s Find X10 series will feature a 200-megapixel camera, while Honor is reportedly planning to equip its mid-range phones with enormous 10,000mAh batteries. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="400" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-series-2K-screen.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-725443" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-series-2K-screen.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-series-2K-screen-300x133.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-series-2K-screen-768x341.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Vivo-X500-series-2K-screen-696x309.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Huawei, meanwhile, is said to be exploring new foldable screen designs, and Xiaomi’s upcoming 18 series is reportedly focusing on advancements in camera technology.</p>

<p>All the flagship phones are expected to use a new mobile processor based on the 2nm process. Xiaomi is likely to stick with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips, while both Vivo and Oppo are expected to use <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/06/vivo-x500-moniker-dimensity-9600/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600</a>.</p>

<p>A previous report suggests that at least one of those two brands will launch its flagship <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/17/oppo-vivo-dimensity-9600-flagship-launch-september/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">early in September</a>. MediaTek is also rumored to unveil the Dimensity 9600 earlier than usual, which could allow manufacturers to ship devices powered by the chip sooner.</p>

<p>At present, it is too early to talk in detail about the X500 series, as the company has several new phones lined up for launch in China in the coming months. As such, take these details with a pinch of salt, as things could change late in development.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo/">Vivo</a> is expected to unveil the Vivo S50 series later this month as a successor to the Vivo S30 lineup, which debuted earlier this year. The S40 branding will be skipped as the number “4” is considered unlucky in some Asian markets, including China. It appears that the company will apply the same naming strategy for its flagship line next year. Through this, we could see the possible name for the Vivo X300 series’ successor.</p>

<h3><strong>Vivo X400 series to be skipped</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="180" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-40-1024x180.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-714156" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-40-1024x180.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-40-300x53.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-40-768x135.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-40-696x123.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-40-1068x188.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-40.png 1158w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>As can be seen above, tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that the next generation after the X300 will be called the X500. So, this means that the next-generation lineup may possibly include the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Ultra as the successors to the current generation’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x300">Vivo X300</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x300-pro">X300 Pro</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x300-ulttra">X300 Ultra</a>.</p>

<p>Likely, the Vivo X500 and X500 Pro will debut in September or October 2026. Early speculations suggest that these devices will be the first to feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600">Dimensity 9600</a>, which is said to be manufactured through TSMC’s 2nm process, making it MediaTek’s first-ever 2nm mobile chip.</p>

<p>It is reported that TSMC&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/20/mediatek-confirms-2-nm-chip-in-development-may-beat-apple-to-the-punch/">enhanced 2nm process technology</a> has a 1.2 times higher logic density than the existing N3E process, a performance improvement of up to 18 percent at the same power consumption, and a power consumption reduction of about 36 percent at the same speed.</p>

<p>At present, it is too early to talk about the X500 series as the company has several new phones lined up for launch in China in the coming months. After the S50 and S50 Pro Mini, expected by this month’s end, the company is expected to unveil the Vivo X300s and X300 Ultra in the first half of 2026. While the X300s will be an updated version of the Vivo X200, the Ultra edition is expected to debut as the world’s first phone with dual 200-megapixel cameras.</p>
