Xiaomi‘s latest generation of flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 series, was just recently unveiled in the global market. These models are currently on sale in Europe and it seems that sales have already surpassed the predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 lineup.

For those unaware, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra hit the European market this week. These are the newest premium grade devices from the company and appear to be a lot more popular than the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Ultra from last year. Lu Weibing, Xiaomi President and Redmi General Manager revealed that the newer smartphones are outselling the older models by a large margin.

The two flagship phones only recently went on sale in the region but the top end Xiaomi 14 Ultra model sales have tripled over last year’s 13 Ultra. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 has impressed even more with sales that are a whopping six times higher than the older Xiaomi 13 at the same time last year.

It is worth noting that these sales figures from the Chinese tech giant likely refer to the initial hours of the sale rather than overall availability since the Xiaomi 14 lineup is still quite new. To recall, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was just launched in China recently and has also been selling better than the 13 Ultra.

In accordance with this policy, the Xiaomi 13 series, which was introduced in China a while ago, was recently presented to users at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Xiaomi has just announced the official launch date for the Xiaomi 13 series in the Malaysian market. The company is planning on releasing its latest generation of flagship smartphones around the end of this month.

As per official notes, the 13 series launch in Malaysia will be set ahead of its global release. Furthermore, the premium handset lineup will also be releasing on 27th February 2023 in the Southeast Asian region, which is just a day after the brand begins its global live stream in MWC 2023 event in Barcelona. For those unaware, the series consists of Xiaomi 13 and the higher end Xiaomi 13 Pro, both of which feature the Leica branding on the camera.

Although, there are also rumors that the Chinese tech giant is planning on introducing the Xiaomi 13 Lite model as well during the major event in Barcelona. For those unaware, the 13 Lite model in question is believed to be a rebranded version of the Civi 2. Keep in mind that the brand has yet to officially confirm that they are working on such a budget friendly handset. But this model will likely miss out on a number of high end specifications and features that it more expensive siblings offer.

The Xiaomi 13 series will be officially launching globally on 26 February 2023 at 11PM (local time) and will be released in the Malaysian market on 27 February 2023 around 2PM. Xiaomi has officially announced that it is planning on bringing an update to the Xiaomi 13 lineup. This update will have its latest flagship series of smartphones receive an upgrade to the new Wi-Fi 7 connectivity standards. So here are all the details.

The Chinese tech giant stated that it will be rolling out a new update for to its high end smartphone models. For those unaware, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro were launched back in December 2022 with support for only 802.11ax standard, which is the Wi-Fi 6E, despite the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 supporting the newer 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 standard. While this isn’t exactly a highlighting feature, other new gen phones like the Samsung Galaxy S23 series were launched with this technology.

Even the new OnePlus 11 features this technology. But fortunately for Xiaomi 13 owners, the brand has announced that it will be releasing an update that will enable the flagship models to support Wi-Fi 7 standards. As per the official announcement on Weibo, the Xiaomi 13 series as well as the Redmi K60 Pro will be capable of supporting the latest wireless connectivity standard. For those unaware, Wi-Fi 7 technology uses 320MHz channels that theoretically offers up to 2.4 times faster speeds its predecessor, the Wi-Fi 6.

Furthermore, the latest technology will also reduce latency to enable support for 4K and 8K video streaming. These benefits will also be reflected in AR/VR applications as well as reaching speeds of at least 30Gb/s or even 40Gb/s. Just a while back, the Xiaomi 13 series was officially announced in the Chinese market. However, the company might be planning on releasing these models for the global regions soon, along with the unveiling of its premium flagship model, the 13S Ultra as well.

Earlier today (10th January 2023), the Chinese tech giant announced that the Xiaomi 13 series, which includes the base and higher end Pro variant, will launch globally during the MWC 2023 event. For those unaware, MWC or Mobile World Congress is a major conference where various brands take the stage to announce their new products, mainly smartphones and related technologies. This The upcoming event will also be hosted in Barcelona.

The company recently shared a teaser image poster, in which revealed the brand revealed that it plans to announce new technologies during MWC 2023 Barcelona. However, Xiaomi didn’t clearly specify what these new technologies actually are. Although, it is also rumored that the company will be announcing its Ultra model as well during this event. For those unaware, the brand usually releases a new flagship phone later in the year following the release of its high end numbered series of smartphones.

With the Xiaomi 13 series launch being just around the corner, the company has began taking reservations on major e-commerce platforms like Xiaomi Mall, Tmall, and even JD.com. These reservations has prospective buyers deposit a hefty fee, which some fans are gladly paying.

For those unaware, the Chinese tech giant was set to launch its latest generation of flagship smartphones at the start of this month. However, the company delayed the launch for a seemingly unknown reason. The announcement date has yet to be officially revealed but the pre-orders for the device are already live on Chinese websites for a deposit fee. This fee is a bit high, but it appears that fans of the brand are paying the hefty sum before the company has even revealed the official pricing of the Xiaomi 13 series.

Looking at some online listings, we can see that the smartphone maker is asking for a hefty deposit fee of around 999 Yuan (roughly 142 US Dollars) for the Xiaomi 13 Pro model. Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its latest flagship smartphones. The company is set to announce the new Xiaomi 13 series during the launch event on December 1, which will also be live-streamed across various platforms like social media. The lineup consists of two new models, namely Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. So here’s a rumor roundup regarding these three phones.

Xiaomi 13

Talking about the design first, the Xiaomi 13 series will feature a design similar to all modern android phones in the market. Although the overall design still features some differences, the standard model will have a sleek design with thin bezels, flat aluminum edges, and a glass panel with a large camera island on the back. Rumors claim that the 50MP sensor could be paired with another 50MP telephoto sensor, another 50MP ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie camera on the 13 series. We also expect to see the Sony 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 in at least one model, but probably it will be on 13 Pro.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is tipped to have a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and QHD resolution. The displays in both phones will offer up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness.

The day that Xiaomi enthusiasts have been waiting for has almost arrived. The company announced that the Xiaomi 13 series and MIUI 14 will be introduced at the event to be held on December 1st. After the announcement, the CEO of the company, Lei Jun, shared some information about the highly expected-phones.

Xiaomi 13 will be one of the most comfortable phones to grip

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shared some information about the upcoming phone on Weibo. According to the official poster, the phone has a 1.61mm bezel on all three sides. Only the bezel at the chin is 1.81mm. The total screen-to-body ratio is 93.3%. The width of the Xiaomi 13 is 71.5 mm. In addition, the hole punch camera also welcomes us at the front.

Another definite detail about the phone is water resistant. All phones in the Xiaomi 13 series will have IP68 certification. The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. It is unclear whether the Xiaomi 13 series will come preloaded with the latest MIUI 14. If not, it will be one of the first phones to get the MIUI 14 upgrade.

Alleged Xiaomi 13 series & Redmi Note 12 series spotted on EEC database ahead of launch

So far, Xiaomi has launched multiple devices in the Xiaomi 12 series. The series debuted last year with the launch of the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X, and later, the company launched the Xiaomi 12S series devices with a new and improved Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset exclusively for the Chinese market. The brand is also said to bring the Xiaomi 12T series to the global market.

As we approach the fourth quarter of 2022, Xiaomi appears to be gearing up for the launch of its next series of flagship smartphones dubbed the Xiaomi 13 series.

A report from MySmartPrice reveals that new Xiaomi devices have been spotted on the EEC certification site with 2210132G and 2210133G model numbers. These devices are believed to belong to the upcoming Xiaomi 13 series.

Additionally, two new Redmi phones with the model IDs 22101316G and 22101316UG have been discovered in a different EEC listing. The G at the end of the model numbers could be indicative of the devices being global variants. The listing does not reveal any specifications of the device. However, we can take a look at the leaks and rumors so far to get an idea of what to expect.

Xiaomi 13 series specs (rumored)

A recent leak revealed that Xiaomi 13 series will come powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This chipset is expected to be revealed in November, so we will likely see the Xiaomi 13 series debut around November as well. The device will likely reach the global markets early next year.

The Android 13 is expected to debut sometime in the next month, i.e. August 2022. Xiaomi is also expected to launch its Android 13-based MIUI 14 skin in the coming months.

Now, a new report from Xiaomiui has revealed the MIUI 14 name on the codebase while also confirming its availability on Xiaomi 13 series smartphones.

The MIUI 14 moniker has been spotted on the codebase, as seen in the above image. To summarise, the above code is intended to do the following – If the nuwa codenamed device (Xiaomi 13) has MIUI 14 or higher, the code displays the STK (SIM Toolkit) icon on the interface. To put it simply, this code checks the system app for MIUI 14.

The report predicts that the MIUI 14 could be officially unveiled in August, and will likely debut in the upcoming “nuwa” and “fuxi” smartphones which are expected to launch in November. So far, rumors suggest that the “nuwa” and “fuxi” are the codenames for the upcoming Xiaomi 13 series devices. This makes sense as Xiaomi debuted the MIUI 13 with the launch of the Xiaomi 12 series in December 2021.

The report also points out that Xiaomi could stop software support for the Mi 10 smartphone when the MIUI 14 launches. This, however, is a hunch based on the fact that Xiaomi stopped software support for the Mi 9 when the MIUI 13 launched last year.

Previous leaks have suggested that the Xiaomi’s next-gen series may debut in November, and it will be equipped with Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Today, a popular tipster has revealed that Xiaomi 13 series will be equipped with a single-cell 100W battery supported by the company’s self-developed charging chips. The device is also tipped to support 50W fast wireless charging.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra

The Tipster Digital chat station has been revealing some interesting details about Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship series. Earlier, the tipster shed some light on the series’ processor and launch date. Today, he revealed that Xiaomi will use a 100W single-cell battery in the 13 Series. The battery will be accompanied by Xiaomi’s in-house charging chips.

The charging chip used in the Xiaomi 13 series will likely be an upgraded version of the Surge P1—the company’s first-generation charging chip used in the 12 series of smartphones. Surge P1 was used for more effective power management. The chip can reduce heat loss by up to 30%.

The tipster also revealed that the Xiaomi 13 series will support up to 50W wireless fast charging, which is the same as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

According to previous reports, the upcoming series will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (not released yet). Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi 12S series smartphones in China. Now, Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station reports that the brand’s upcoming Xiaomi 13 series might come with a ceramic body. It is tipped to be manufactured by BYD. The tipster adds that this is just a prototype and it remains to be seen whether the final product indeed features a ceramic back panel. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra was also expected to come with a ceramic body but the brand ditched it.

The Xiaomi MIX 4 features a ceramic body

Xiaomi has used ceramic back panels for high-end flagships including the MIX 4 and MIX Fold. The ceramic body offers a lightweight form factor. It will be interesting to see the next-generation Xiaomi 13 series with a ceramic body.

The Xiaomi 13 series is tipped to launch later in November this year. It will reportedly be powered by an SM8550 processor which could be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The lineup is expected to consist of standard and Pro models with codenames Nuwa and Fuxi respectively. The former has model number 2211133C.
