Xiaomi’s expected Mi Note 2 flagship smartphone is again featured in a new leaked image renders detailing the spectacular features the device is tagging along. The render images were leaked courtesy popular tipster @kjuma.

The renders show the Mi Note 2 will feature a dual curved display screen and the display size stands at 5.5 inches with two likely editions, one having a 1080p resolution display while the other one will have a 2k display resolution.

Apart from the image renders, Xiaomi’s official photo advertising the amazing specs the expected Mi Note 2 will feature also surfaced online recently. The official photo contains details like the device featuring a 5.5-inch OLED curved screen, all-metal body, and dual cameras at the rear. The details also include that the Xiaomi Note 2 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 processor alongside 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Xiaomi’s co-founder and president, Lin Bin revealed this Saturday, Xiaomi will release a new high-performance flagship in July, which is just a few weeks away. However, he failed to mention the name or any feature of the flagship (except that it’s high-end) which makes us wonder which product will meet us next month. Some rumors say that the Xiaomi flagship to be announced next month is going to be none other than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 flagship. We have been hearing about the device for the past few months and hence, it won’t be surprising if we meet the flagship soon. Another possibility is the Xiaomi Mi Edge, a phone that has been rumored since late 2014. If we indeed meet this device, then expect features such as a flexible / curved screen with a size of around 5.5-5.7 inches.

Specs wise, you can expect a lot of good things inside the new Mi Note 2. The phone is said to come with the Snapdragon 821 chiset, a slightly overclocked version of the SD820. Along with this, you can expect 6GB RAM on board with several variants. Earlier rumors have said that there could be a dual camera version as well. This is possible as recently, an insider posted on Weibo that Xiaomi, OPPO and Apple are all working on dual camera phones this year.

Another possibility is the release of the Xiaomi Notebook. We have seen leaks about this product as well as heard a lot of rumors for the past six months. The Notebook is said to be released this summer and July would be a good time for its 12.5-inch model to be announced. Today’s the day! Xiaomi held a launch for its new releases, one of which is the Xiaomi Mi Note cell phone. This phone, Xiaomi has boasted, is said to be bigger than Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus. Today, we see if that is the case with Xiaomi Mi Note vs iPhone 6 plus. At the launch, Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, introduced the Xiaomi Note cell phone and compared it with Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus. Let us take a look, shall we?

Here are some discrepancies between the Xiaomi Mi Note and the iPhone 6 Plus that the company noticed. This phone is 0.15mm thinner than the iPhone 6 Plus. It is 11g lighter than the iPhone 6 Plus. It is also 3mm shorter in length. Its dimensions are 155.1mm x 77.6m x 6.95mm. It also only weighs 161g and sports a 5.7-inch display screen.

The reason why the  MiNote is shorter than the iPhone 6 Plus is that it does not fingerprint scanner at the bottom. It also has a lower gamut count because it has a low brightness index.

Furthermore, the Mi Note is also the first Xiaomi phone to have a OIS camera. It does not have a protruding camera unlike the iPhone 6 Plus. This is because it has a lower optical index.  The front is covered by a 2.5D glass protector, while the back is covered by a 3D glass protector.

The Xiaomi Mi Note, seems like an interesting phone. This phone is said to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor which they will showcase on January 23. This processor is said to be Qualcomm’s most powerful cell phone processor to date with eight cores and its use of the Adreno 430 GPU.

We have been waiting so long for this day to arrive. Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi Note flagship. This will be first device in the new lineup and will pack in top end features which will definitely blow your minds away.

We have been hearing about this super sized smartphone for quite some time now, however, it was only a few days back that we realized that it could be a new lineup itself. And we were quite right in assuming so as the company has today confirmed it. Just yesterday, we heard a rumor that the device was going to be one of the two Snapdragon 810 powered smartphones that will be announced in the market soon.And the rumor was right indeed! There will be two variants of the new Mi Note. One which will be powered by the Snapdragon 801 processor and the other with the latest and the ever powerful SNAPDRAGON 810! Yes, there is a high end version of the Mi Note called the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro which will make many of the fan’s dreams come true.

Anyways, lets not waste any more time and move on to the specs of the device.First lets talk about this new HIGH END XIAOMI MI NOTE version. The phone will come with a 3D curved glass display. Yes, you heard it right! It features a 3D curved glass screen which will sport an impressive resolution of 2K on its 5.7-inch display. There will be Snapdragon 810 processor onboard with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB eMMC5.0 ROM. There will be a Sony rear 13MP camera with OIS and a 4MP ultrapixel front shooter, which will also end up in the regular Mi Note version. The Mi Note Pro will run on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The phone will support 4G LTE Category 9 networks and will be available for sale starting January 27 for a hefty 3299 Yuan ($532). This makes the high end Xiaomi Mi Note– the world’s second Snapdragon 810 powered smartphone (considered LG G Flex2 was already announced)! Rest of the features are the same as the regular version of the Mi Note, so lets move on to that now.

The regular version of the Xiaomi Mi Note will also feature a large 5.7-inch but with 2.5D curved display and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display will be a Negative LCD panel with the new Pixel level dynamic adjustment (NTSC color gamut up to 95 percent!).  Xiaomi just revealed that it will feature a lower 1920 x 1080p resolution display which translates into pixel density of 386ppi. The old Snapdragon 801 processor will power the device along with 3GB RAM onboard. There will be 16/64 GB internal storage options. At the back, there is a 13MP rear camera with dual tone dual LED flash and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization tech). The front camera will be of 4MP 2um Ultrapixel which is the same rear camera module from the HTC One M7.

Both the variants have the same body and design, so we can talk about them together. The phone won’t be as thin as expected. Xiaomi reveals that the Mi Note will feature a 6.95mm thin body, which is still slim for a device of this size. The overall measurements come to 55.1x 77.6 x 6.95mm. In comparison, the iPhone 6 Plus measures, 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm. As you can see, even the iPhone 6 Plus which is considered as a very thin phablet has a 7.1mm thin body. Also, the Xiaomi Note will weigh just 161 grams which is almost 12 grams lighter than the Apple phablet! Finally, a 3000 mAh battery will power all these features with fast charging 2.0. This is the minimum battery capacity that a 5.7-inch device requires. Since the large screen display will require a lot of charge to run for an entire day, this 3000 mAh battery may just be enough. Like Xiaomi teased earlier, the phone will come with ESS ES9018K2M DAC high performance two channel 32-bit mobile Hi-Fi Audio chip which is a great news for music lovers around the globe. This is the same chip used in many audiophile grade music players, blu-ray players, recording players and digital audio workstations. What’s more, you can get a the 499 Yuan ($80) headphones to take advantage of the full audio performance of the device. Finally, it will support 4G LTE dual SIM card dual standby.

Now, coming to the most important part of the announcement, the pricing of the Mi Note. Xiaomi has set an unbelievable price tag for this regular variant. The company has priced the device at 2299 Yuan which comes to around $371 which is an amazing price for a device with such specifications. This is the around the same price as Meizu’s MX4, so the competition is definitely getting tougher. The given price is for the 16GB version and for the larger 64GB storage variant, you’ll have to shell out a few more Yuan. The 64 GB Xiaomi Mi Note will be available for sale for 2799 Yuan which comes to around $451! Chinese Xiaomi Note users also can get accidental insurance for an additional 199 Yuan i..e $32.

It is going to be a serious month for Xiaomi as they are preparing to release new cell phones to compete with other companies. Recently, some photos were posted online. These photos are said to have been taken using the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5.

This afternoon, a staff member of Xiaomi revealed in his Weibo account that Xiaomi’s new flagship phone would be “almost twice as expensive as the Xiaomi Mi4”. In other words, it should cost somewhere around 4000 RMB. Nevertheless, he said that users will definitely flock stores to get their hands on it. This flagship phone is none other than Xiaomi’s upcoming Xiaomi Note (not to be confused with the Xiaomi Red Mi Note).

It has already been confirmed today that Xiaomi named its new phone the “Xiaomi Note.” Now, the question is, how big is its display screen? iSuppli Corp.’s Chinese Studies Director, Kevin Wang, has just posted in his official Weibo account the following message: “The phone’s original name is the Xiaomi Note, but is also called the Midada. It is also bigger than the 6 Plus!” In other words, the Xiaomi Note’s display screen must be more than 5.5 inches. It should be somewhere between 5.5 inches and 6 inches. It is most likely going to be 5.7 inches.

It is important to note, however, that because the iPhone 6 Plus’ screen-to-body ratio is pretty bad, its actual size should surpass other phones with similar display screen sizes. As a result, do not expect the Xiaomi Note’s actual size to surpass it.

As for the specifications, the Xiaomi Note is expected to use a 1080p display screen and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. It is also said to have 3GB RAM and a 13mp camera. It is also expected to receive a higher benchmark score than the Xiaomi Mi4.

Things have been confusing for the past few days. The internet is flooded with many articles claiming to be the new Xiaomi flagship. Now, as you can see, there is a ‘5’ at the end of the word ‘NOT5’ instead of an ‘E’, so could the company be calling it the Note 5 or the Mi5 Note? But it doesn’t make any sense. What makes sense is something that one of our readers pointed out,– it could be “NOT 5″, meaning its not the Xiaomi Mi5 flagship that will be announced tomorrow like previously rumored. So, now there are two possibilities. One, it can be a new lineup called Xiaomi Note or it can also be called as the Redmi Note 2 as previously rumored. We know one thing for sure, there will be a device with the name ‘NOTE’, since the company had revealed this in the previous teaser.

This could be one of the releases tomorrow, as another poster had said that Xiaomi will release two new devices at the Jan 15 event. Given that one of this bears the NOTE name, it will most likely be the bigger sized model. The screen size is not yet revealed, but we have a feeling it should be somewhere around 5.5-5.7inches. Anything less than that won’t justify the Note name, since the regular Mi4 comes with a 5-inch screen.

The specifications of this model is not yet confirmed but it is said that the display will feature a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and will be powered by the same 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor as the existing Mi4 flagship. The company had also said that the phone will be very thin and light, but as of now, we don’t have any particular figures to confirm the claim.

Anyways, this doesn’t really help to clear out the confusion about the Xiaomi device, but luckily, we don’t have to wait too long to know which flagship model will be unveiled since we are less than 24 hours away from the event.

The one of Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi is planning to built their own campus in Beijing. The company has sign of memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The Xiaomi owned campus is scheduled to be built in Beijing. And by the time the campus was completed, they will make cooperation with other Chinese companies, Baidu.

The Xiaomi owned campus will be built in conjunction with Kingsoft owned facilities. For additional information, Xiaomi Founder Lei Jun still be part of the chairman of the company.

Unfortunately, the Xiaomi does not provide detailed information about the education campus development plan. They do not disclose how much money they will spend on this project.
