Xiaomi‘s Chairman Lei Jun has responded to demands by netizens by launching a hearing aid for the elderly. Back in May, the bulk of comments from users after Lei Jun posted a video on TikTok suggested new industries for the tech brand. Part of the wishes included persons who requested that Xiaomi produce a hearing aid that could be affordable. The crowdfunding campaign for the Xiaomi hearing aid for the elderly has now been launched. The new Zdeer hearing aid is produced by Zdeer Industrial Company although it is hosted on Xiaomi Youpin.

The Zdeer brand is focused on family health products. The company says it provides solutions to the major health needs of the young encompassed by health preservation, The new model is a 34-channel neck-hanging hearing aid designed for the elderly and features a blood pressure monitor. It also has blood glucose tracking capabilities and is already attracting funders on Xiaomi Youpin. On the crowdfunding platform, more than 50 persons have pledged and the pledged amount has already exceeded 500,000 yuan ($68,904).

As per the features and functionality of the new hearing aid, little is known at this time. The Zdeer hearing aid is offered on Xiaomi Youpin at a crowdfunding price of 999 yuan ($138). It is scheduled to be shipped to backers before June 30. There are no indications at this time whether the hearing aid will be subsequently available in the international market.

Back in August 2019, Xiaomi debuted the MIJIA LCD Blackboard for the first time in China. Since then, the brand has launched the slate in a couple of different sizes. Till now, the brand only manufactured the slates to produce a single color while writing on them.

However, the brand has now kicked off the crowdfunding campaign for the Xiaomi MIJIA LCD Small Blackboard Color Edition. As the name suggests, the slate is capable of producing multiple colors, thanks to a custom-made color liquid crystal panel. The blackboard is available in two sizes: 10-inch and 13-inch.

It allows for pressure-sensitive writing, with the thickness of the handwriting changing as the force is applied. There is a sensing area above the screen that can be used to easily clear the blackboard. The screen has no backlight, and natural light reflection is used to present handwriting.

According to the company, the screen is blue-light-free, so children and people of all ages can use it for extended periods of time. Furthermore, the board only consumes energy when the content on it is erased.

Xiaomi Youpin has launched a new PC weighing just 250g called the Ningmei Mini Computer ‘CR80’ which can be connected to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

The mini PC is being touted as a perfect replacement for traditional desktop computers for the non-gamers out there, and meets the functional requirements for less demanding work and entertainment.

The device measures less than 12 cm in length and width and less than 2.5 cm in thickness. Its weight is only slightly heavier than the average smartphone at just 250g, meaning it can easily be carried around in any backpack (via My Drivers).

Powering it is the N5105 quad-core, four-thread processor with a turbo frequency of up to 2.9GHz. The chip is complemented by a 4MB L3 cache and the machine only consumes 10W of power.

The Xiaomi Ningmei Mini Computer ‘CR80’ is also equipped with a high-speed M.2 SSD and DDR4 memory. The SSD can also be upgraded up to 512GB of total capacity. The PC can be connected to TVs, monitors, projectors, printers, scanners, etc., and can be used for a number of purposes.

For connectivity, you get the Intel AC7265 wireless network card, which supports 2.4G+5G dual-band Wi-Fi connection. There’s also a Bluetooth module using which you can connect various other devices too.

The Xiaomi Ningmei Mini PC ‘CR80’ sells in two variants:

• 6GB RAM + 128GB SSD for 1,099 Yuan (around $172)
• 8GB RAM + 256GB SSD for 1,299 Yuan (around $204)

The team has now unveiled a similar product which is dubbed Midian light-sensing reading lamp. The Midian light-sensing reading lamp has an original golden-yellow LED light source that is based on the golden-yellow LED of silicon substrate as the core. The eye protection reading and writing lamp adopts double-ring optical design, which perfectly integrates working white light and unique zero blue light.

It also has a built-in light-sensing intelligent algorithm. After the light-sensing function is turned on, the desk lamp will continue to sense the brightness of the surrounding light environment. Through the smart algorithm, the output brightness of the lamp head is automatically adjusted, and the desktop illumination is always unified between 500-750lux.

It uses high-quality white LED chips, 4000K warm white light, high CRI, and the central illumination can reach 2000LuX. The long arm span is equipped with a ring-shaped optical design, which brings a large-scale lighting area, providing a smoother lighting experience, and making every detail visible.

The new MIJIA Smart Dehumidifier is the latest smart home appliance from the company. It offers up to 8 hours of continuous dehumidification and supports running without the need for water. The new dehumidifier arrives with a sizeable 22 liter capacity, which allows it to run for multiple hours at a stretch. During its operations it can automatically stop running when it detects that its tank is full to prevent overflow and leakage. Furthermore, it can directly be connected to an external drainage pipe that will allow it directly discharge the dehumidification waste water, without having to worry about the water being full and having shut the machine down to empty its waste water manually.

Notably, MIJIA has included universal rollers on the bottom that makes it easier to move around in the move to different locations. It even offers three modes, namely, intelligent mode where it uses built in high precision temperature and humidity sensor for automatic dehumidification, Drying mode where it continuously dehumidifies at the maximum level, and sleep mode, which has it run as low as 35.5dB(A) to not disturb the sleep of the users.

As of right now, the device is available on the Xiaomi Mall and Youpin platform and costs 1,499 yuan (roughly 234 US Dollars) but its crowdfunding price is set at 1,299 Yuan (roughly 203 US Dollars). Since it is a smart product it also supports the MIJIA app along with the XiaoAI smart voice assistant. Xiaomi has for long released several non-electronics-related products that are also designed to make like easy. One of such is the UREVO line of portable umbrellas manufactured by its eco-chain company UREVO. Xiaomi Youpin has now played host to a new UREVO Umbrella equipped with features such as turnable LED lights, reverse folding and non-wetting, and a one-second opening mechanism. The product carries a price tag of 69 yuan (~$11).

The UREVO portable Umbrella contains three high-brightness LED lamp beads with an illumination distance of up to 10m. The angulation of the lamp can also be easily adjusted so as to illuminate the user’s path at night in other to avoid stumbling on obstacles such as steps, puddles, and manhole covers. It also serves to make the owner visible to on-coming vehicles at night.

There is no dedicated switch on the handlebar to turn on the light. Instead, when the handle is rotated, the LED lamp turns on. The light also provides a superb battery life.

Further, the UREVO umbrella features a fully automated one-key opening and closing. In other words, you press a button to automatically open the umbrella, a standard feature on most umbrellas but in this case, you also press the same button to automatically close the umbrella, making it easy to operate with one hand.

Also, the inside of the umbrella handle is designed with an explosion-proof punching mechanism, which automatically locks the position and stops at various times to prevent rebounding during the process of retracting the umbrella. This design protects both hands from being pinched and makes it easy to close the umbrella without applying any effort.

The LYMAX Curved Screen Hanging Lamp comes in two styles, a basic version, and a Pro model. Pricing starts at 169 yuan ($26) for the basic version while the Pro model is priced at 299 yuan ($46).

The hanging lamp uses 100 Ra97 full-spectrum LED lamp beads which display the true color, do not flicker, and thus, protect the eyes from fatigue. The device uses an asymmetrical surround projection, whereby the light hits the desktop along with the screen. It does not illuminate the screen and does not reflect light.

Further, the lamp adopts R1000 curvature and has a 550mm lengthened lamp body design which is suitable for displays with different curvatures and thicknesses on the market. Xiaomi has launched the Duka LI1 Laser Rangefinder under crowdfunding on the Youpin platform. The device has an original price of 159 yuan but will be sold during the crowdfunding period for 99 yuan (~$16).

The Duka LI1 Laser Rangefinder is capable of high-precision measurement. It is equipped with a double-sided high-definition LED screen while the body is made from aluminum alloy with a matte finish. It utilizes high-end components which are based on micro-electromechanical systems with advanced software technology to achieve a high-precision measurement with an accuracy better than ±0.5°.

Xiaomi has launched the IDMIX P10 Pro power bank in China through its Xiaomi Youpin platform. The power bank is priced at 199 yuan (approximately $31) but the green version is currently available for 189 yuan, which is around $29.

The IDMIX P10 Pro power bank comes with support for 10,000mAh capacity and the highlight is that it is equipped with a MiFi-certified Lightning interface. It supports Apple PD 20W fast charge, which is claimed to charge the iPhone 12 up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. Apart from that, there is also support for Huawei SCP 22.5W fast charge.

There is a Lightning input port and USB Type-C port for both input and output. The company notes that as loon as the device is equipped with a Lightning cable certified by IDMIX brand MiFi, it can be charged and self-charged.

It has an ergonomic double-sided arc design and the thickness measures only 12.8mm. The front side of the power bank is equipped with a small display that shows the remaining battery power in real-time.

Other than gadgets and accessories, the company also crowdfunds everyday products. One such product called 17Pin Star Travel Mug is now up for crowdfunding for only 79 yuan ($12).

The 17Pin Star Travel Mug is a portable electric kettle that looks more like a bottle than a kettle. It comes in two colors – White & Beige.

The product can hold 400ml of water. It measures 95 x 95 x 221mm in dimensions and weighs 550g. The internal wall of the kettle features 304 stainless steel, whereas its outer body is made of polypropylene, which is commonly known as PP.

The company claims that it can boil water within 6 minutes. That’s because the product operates at 400W. Further, similar products in the market come with a single-body design with a separate cord. Whereas, this one features a dual-body design with a detachable base + cord.

This design makes it safer than other comparable products. Also, it allows hiding the cord inside the base while traveling. Whereas, with most products from other brands, users will have to carry the cord separately.

Xiaomi Youpin has just launched a new MIJIA product. It is the new MIJIA Pillar room heater that was launched earlier today (14th October 2020) and is priced at 399 Yuan (roughly 60 US Dollars).

With the winter season being just around the corner, the company has launched a new room heater. We had previously covered the launch of the MIJIA desktop heater, and this product seems to be another launch within the company’s new lineup of heaters. It has a power draw of 2100W and uses a non optical semiconductor ceramic PTC heating element, which can immediately give out hot air almost as soon as it is turned on.

Back in August 2020, Xiaomi had launched the Mijia Bullet Thermos flash with 12 hours of heat/cold preservation and 500ml capacity. Now, the company has launched an updated version of the same thermos that arrives with a slight change in design.

The newly launched version of the Mijia Bullet Thermos features a different lid, which arrives in the form of a cover than can be popped off. This new cover is held by a mechanism on the front that can be lightly pressed to open. It adds to the easier one handed use of the product, making it more user friendly than the previous iteration as it is easier to hold and use with just one hand.

Similar to the previous launch, it also 316L stainless steel design that was built with a vacuum layer built from laser welding technology. For thermal control, the thermos uses a copper-plated reflective layer along with the vacuum insulation layer to maintain the heat within the flask, which is also useful for keeping cold liquids chilled as well.

The new Mijia Bullet Thermos achieves 6 hours of heat or cold preservations, in indoor testings at 20°C with liquid as hot as 95°C. After 6 hours, the water temperature only dropped to about 68°C. Xiaomi‘s ecological chain company WalkingPad shot into the limelight a few years back with the launch of its foldable treadmill. In order to give ordinary users who need light exercise to reduce fat access to exercise equipment, Xiaomi Youpin has launched a small-footprint and low-noise fitness equipment. The machine is dubbed the URevo U1 foldable treadmill and it is priced at 1299 yuan (~$190).

In terms of appearance, the URevo U1 Foldable Treadmill adopts a self-developed and patented integrated frame body. After unpacking, it can be used without installation or connecting to a power source. The device also comes with a front screen which clearly displays movement data such as speed, calories, mileage, and time.

The treadmill has a decent area of 120x 42cm and you won’t even have to bother about going over the edges as it is equipped with border warnings which alerts you whenever you exceed the safety range, even larger users can use it with confidence. Quange GA1 Smart Sorting Garbage Bin has an inner two-colour split design. It supports smart sensing, long standby, digital display touch screen and other features.

Xiaomi has launched the Mileseey Golf Laer Range Finder under the Youpin crowdfunding platform. The product is available to order in China for 399 yuan (~$57). As the name suggests, the range finder finds application in golfing but is also useful in other areas where finding a range is needed. The device is also a telescope with up to six times magnification.

The Mileseey Golf Laser Range Finder adopts a simple design, made from soft plastic that has anti-skid and wear-resistant properties. The device has a circumference of 110x65x38mm, making it easy to carry.

In terms of lenses, the laser range finder has a 6X fixed-focus optical telephoto system, with a 7° field of view. The lens is coated delivering a bright field of view. It can achieve long-distance ranging from 600 meters and the error margin within 600 meters is only 0.5 meters.
