ZTE’s next budget phone might look strangely familiar. Newly leaked renders of the Blade V80 Vita suggest the company has taken some clear inspiration from Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro models.

The render comes from Evan Blass (@evleaks), and the resemblance is hard to miss. The Blade V80 Vita uses a full-width camera island with three cameras and an LED flash pushed to the far-right side, almost exactly where Apple is placing the component on the 17 Pro Max. Since this is already plenty of camera hardware for a budget phone, a circular Neo branding occupies the spot where the LiDAR scanner sits on the latest Pro iPhones.

The frame sticks to a familiar flat-edged look, but ZTE adds its own touches: a red power button, a dedicated custom key on the left, and that very un-Apple 3.5 mm port next to the USB-C slot. It’s a mix of trendy and practical — something you don’t see often, even in the affordable Android space.

Of course, the edges are completely flat — unlike the slightly rounded sides on the iPhones — but that’s possible thanks to the aluminum unibody design of Apple’s flagships.

Specs haven’t surfaced yet, but the Blade line has always aimed at the budget crowd. The Blade V70 Design shipped with modest hardware, so it’s safe to expect the V80 Vita to follow suit: an entry-level chipset, a reasonable battery, and pricing that keeps expectations in check. This isn’t a flagship; it’s a style play.

Still, it’s interesting to see which design cues are trickling down into affordable phones. The iPhone 17 Pro’s wide camera bar is shaping up to be one of the more recognizable silhouettes of 2025, and ZTE seems eager to get ahead of the trend.

ZTE has introduced its latest gaming smartphone lineup, the Nubia Neo 3 series, at MWC Barcelona 2025. The Nubia Neo 3 GT 5G is positioned as the top-tier model in the lineup, featuring the UNISOC T9100 5G gaming processor, up to 24GB of dynamic RAM (12GB + 12GB virtual), and 256GB of internal storage. It includes ZTE’s NeoTurbo AI performance engine, which optimizes system resources for smooth gameplay. The device is equipped with a 6000mAh battery, complemented by 80W fast charging for extended gaming sessions. To manage heat dissipation, the phone incorporates a 4083mm² VC cooling panel.

The Nubia Neo 3 5G, another 5G-enabled variant, is powered by the UNISOC T8300 processor and offers up to 20GB RAM (8GB + 12GB virtual). The Nubia Neo 3 GT 5G features a 6.8-inch OLED gaming display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 1080×2392, and peak brightness of 1300 nits. It supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio for vibrant visuals. The standard Nubia Neo 3 5G also has a 6.8-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate but utilizes an FHD LCD panel with 1000 nits peak brightness.

Both models embrace a futuristic cyber-mecha design with RGB lighting elements for a gaming-inspired aesthetic. The flat-sided design and built-in shoulder triggers enhance the ergonomic experience for gaming sessions.

Pricing and Availability

The Nubia Neo 3 series will be available globally starting in late March 2025. Pricing for the Nubia Neo 3 5G begins at €249, while the flagship Nubia Neo 3 GT 5G starts at €299.

ZTE has expanded its Blade V70 series with a new Max model, seemingly without much fanfare. The phone appeared on ZTE’s official website, joining the existing Blade V70 and Blade V70 Design. While the listing provides some key specs, many details remain unclear.

ZTE Blade V70 Max Specifications

The Blade V70 Max boasts a sizable 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This large screen is coupled with a 6,000 mAh battery. The battery also supports 22.5W wired charging, and ZTE claims it should retain 80% of its original capacity after 800 charge cycles.

For photography, the phone features a 50MP main camera, accompanied by two additional lenses. The specifics of these additional cameras haven’t been shared. The phone’s design includes a waterdrop notch and a noticeable chin, a fairly standard look for many mid-range devices. 

ZTE also says the phone is durable enough to withstand drops from 1.5 meters. And it has an IP54 rating suggests some level of protection against dust and splashes.

Software-wise, the Blade V70 Max runs ZTE’s MyOS on top of Android. ZTE is making a somewhat bold claim about long-term software performance, stating that the user experience will remain as smooth as it was on day one for four years. How this will be achieved remains to be seen. 

The phone also incorporates ZTE’s “Live Island 2.0” feature that mimics Apple’s Dynamic Island to offer quick access to notifications and controls.

While the online listing confirms the existence of the Blade V70 Max, it lacks crucial information, including pricing, availability, and detailed specifications for the camera system.

Many smartphone manufacturers have started to focus a lot on foldable smartphones. One of these brands is ZTE. ZTE launched its first foldable smartphone, the Nubia Flip 5G, in February 2024. Now it is working on its next foldable device, the Nubia Flip II. The technical specifications of this new smartphone are currently unknown. Gizmochina has spotted the Nubia Flip II in the IMEI database.

The new Nubia Flip II will have the model number NX732J. However, there is no other information about this smartphone other than the model number. The Nubia Flip II is expected to be an improved version of the Nubia Flip 5G. So let’s take a look at the specifications of the Nubia Flip 5G to get an idea about the new foldable devices.

The Nubia Flip 5G has a giant camera island on the back. Inside the camera island is a circular second screen, and this second screen comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED panel and a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. This circular second screen allows you to perform simple tasks without opening the smartphone. On the front, there is a 6.9-inch FHD+ display. Take a look at the cool model. Yup, though you see a brand-new color design, we got the Nubia Z60 Ultra back again. But it’s not the same one we reviewed before, it’s Nubia’s latest Leading Version. The Leading version is not very different from the regular Z60 Ultra in terms of regular specs. Therefore, we will also talk a bit more about the things that weren’t covered in the preview review.

Unboxing & Design

The accessories in the box are a manual, SIM card pin, 80W USB-C charger, cable, and a clear, half-wrapped PC case.

In terms of form factor, the Leading version doesn’t make any changes. The straight frame, the main camera with its red circle, and the customizable slider are all there. All the features, such as NFC, IP68 certification, and USB 3.1 Gen 1, have not been cut, and even the weight is the same. The vibration motor is pretty well tuned, and very crispy, which is relatively rare to see in a large-sized phone.

The only downside is that it doesn’t support storage expansion. However, there is a 1TB storage version available, which is a way to solve the storage problem. The only difference in design between the Leading version and the regular version is their color schemes. Obviously, the color scheme of the Leading version has been well-designed. They say the design is inspired by the snowy mountains, and I have to say it looks pretty good.

If you want to say what is ” Leading ” in the ” Leading Version “, undoubtedly, it is the processor.

Benchmark & Gaming

So why is this phone called the Z60 Ultra Leading version? The answer is actually that the processor’s name is also called the Leading version. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading version is simply an 8 Gen 3 overclocked version. The CPU and GPU peak clocking have been increased, but in terms of scores, there doesn’t seem to be much of an improvement.

And what about the gaming experience? Well, it’s not much of an improvement either. Can you tell which one is a bit flatter in these two lines? Even if you look at the average frame rate, that 0.05 difference is really negligible. Lower Power consumption and lower temperatures are probably the only advantages of this Leading version. Of course, there’s also the fact that Nubia has already tuned the regular 8 Gen 3 too well, so the difference between overclocking and not overclocking really doesn’t matter that much.

Whether it’s the Z60 Ultra Leading version or the regular version, it has a very, very large number of options for the gaming mode. In addition to Bypass charging and various auxiliary functions, you can also adjust the touch sampling rate, sensitivity, and other more detailed options.

There’s also Diablo mode, which is even more powerful than Rise mode, so turn it on and put on a phone cooler and you’ll get a gaming experience that rivals the gaming phones. All in all, it may still have flaws, but I’m sure of one thing: It has the best gaming experience of any non-gaming phone in the world.

Display

Even if we’re in the second half of 2024, there’s still no second brand in the world that insists on announcing a flagship phone without a punch-hole. Even if I’ve gotten used to having a black dot on my screen forever, I feel incredibly comfortable when I go back to the Z60 Ultra, both in terms of my eyes and my mind.

The current Under-Display camera technology doesn’t do a perfect job of hiding itself, but it’s still the same thing: you can’t even notice there’s a camera here when you’re using it on a day-to-day basis. I don’t know how many people still like such a complete screen, but those who do really don’t have much choice.

With a manual maximum brightness of 600nit, HBM around 1000nit, and a resolution close to 1200P. You don’t need to worry about the basic specs of this screen, what you need to worry about should be that camera down there. Honestly, it did a better job than I thought it would. This time they used a new AI algorithm, and selfies in better lighting conditions still look acceptable.

Camera

The leading version still has the same three cameras, I will not introduce them too much here.

The 35mm main camera is still good. Especially when taking photos of food, the 24mm main camera on a regular phone is too wide and you need to zoom in manually. But the field of view on Z60 Ultra’s main camera is just right, which is convenient. Clarity and dynamic range are top-notch, and sharpening is just right.

The telephoto camera is 85mm, and it excels at both portraits and landscapes. If you know a bit about photography, you should know how well these two focal lengths work. Then there’s this ultra-wide camera at 18mm. Please don’t forget, that it has OIS. Together with the extra large sensor, this camera should be the best ultra-wide camera in a flagship phone of 2024.

If you want to know more details about the camera performance of the Z60 Ultra Leading version, I recommend you to watch the previous review of the regular Z60 Ultra. Since they are almost the same, I won’t go into it again.

Because the field of view of the main camera is not as wide as other phones, plus the EIS crops the footage, the stabilization is not as good on the video. But after switching to this ultra-wide camera with OIS, the stabilization is much better. It still performs at night. Except for a little more noise, there is no obvious drawback. By the way, this time you can switch between the three cameras in 4k recording as well.

Battery & Charging

Before the release of the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, the Z60 Ultra’s 6000mAh battery dominated the regular phone market for half a year. To this day it is still one of the phones with the biggest battery. The Leading version inherits this advantage. Although there is no difference in battery life with the regular version, it has been unbeatable.

The charging power is 80W as always, and it takes 40 minutes to fully charge it, which is pretty good. The Leading version doesn’t have wireless charging, but it does support high-power PPS, which is one of the strengths of Nubia’s phones.

MyOS

The Z60 Ultra Leading version we have is the global version, so MyOS is also modified to be more like stock Android. except for a few MyOS-exclusive features like GameSpace and Camera, which are made by Nubia itself. Most of the operating logic and features are pretty much the same as stock Android, just the UI has been redesigned. So getting started with this phone should still be pretty easy.

Conclusion

Obviously, the Z60 Ultra Leading version is meant to replace the regular version. Surely you wouldn’t pay the same price for the regular version that was released last year, right? Not to mention that the Leading version does consume less power for gaming and the back cover color looks a bit better. With the help of AI, for example, the sharpened photos has also been enhanced in details.

The sweet points of the regular version have also been retained, such as the great gaming experience, the truly full screen, and the great camera system. You can certainly wait for the more powerful Z70 Ultra in the future, but if you’re already happy with the Z60 Ultra now, the Leading version will be an even more satisfying replacement.

The phone was originally priced at $605 in 2022, the current price is a quarter of its launch price. However, this deal is only available in China. While some ZTE phones are sold globally, the ZTE Axon 41 is not among them unfortunately.

It’s remarkable to see such significant price cuts on older devices from ZTE. Chinese smartphone manufacturers have made significant improvements in many countries with their competitive pricing. A price cut like this on the global market would be fantastic. While the ZTE Axon A41 might not run the latest Android, it would still be an excellent choice for users with basic needs.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE has launched a new phone called the ZTE Voyage 3D that offers a 3D display. The company claims it to be the world’s first AI naked-eye 3D mobile phone. This unique smartphone follows the company’s Nubia Pad 3D tablets.

The Voyage 3D equips a built-in “micron-level” multidimensional 3D system and AI eye-tracking feature. As a result, it offers a wider viewing angle of 60 degrees. So, ZTE is using AI to track the eyes and make adjustments based on that to offer a 3D effect. The AI system ZTE is using is capable of 2D-3D real-time conversion. With this capability, the phone can offer a 3D look of 2D apps with one click, which can be interesting.

ZTE Voyage 3D specifications:

The Voyage 3D smartphone comes with a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display. The phone comes with a dedicated button that the user can assign to open specific apps. The Voyage 3D runs on MyOS13, which is based on Android 13.

The phone is powered by Unisoc T760 chipset, which is paired with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB emmc storage. For those unfamiliar, this octa-core chipset includes four ARM Cortex-A76 cores and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. All the cores are clocked at 2GHz. The chipset supports LPDDR4 / LPDDR4X RAM with up to 2133 MHz clock speed. For Graphics, it equips an ARM Mali-G57 MC4 (4 cores) clocked at 780MHz.

Speaking of performance, the Unisoc T760 scores around 540 and 2155 points in Geekbench single and multi-core tests respectively.

There is a dual 50MP + 5MP camera setup on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. For security, the phone is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Aside from the 2D-3D processing, the AI algorithms also offer real-time translation and an AI intelligent voice assistant that offers functions such as chat dialogue, knowledge quiz, creative writing, food reviews, etc.

Pricing and availability:

The phone comes in a single “Star Black” color option and a 6GB + 128GB configuration. This is priced at 1,499 Yuan (equivalent to $206) and is currently available for sale in the company’s website.

Under the hood, the U10L packs a proprietary chipset from ZTE, which the company claims delivers high performance and low power consumption. This translates to a smoother internet experience for users.

The ZTE Axon 60 Ultra flagship smartphone debuted last month. Now, the brand has announced two new devices in the Axon 60 in Mexico. These include the Axon 60 and Axon 60 Lite. Both are affordable offerings with the same design and also have some similar specifications. Read on to find out what the Axon 60 duo offer out of the box. 

ZTE Axon 60, Axon 60 Lite specifications and features 

Both the ZTE Axon 60 and 60 Lite have an iPhone-like design with a squarish camera island on the rear that houses three sensors. The phones have a flat frame and the power button is accentuated with a Red color. The power key also doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. 

The ZTE Axon 60 duo feature a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout that works similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island on iPhones. The feature called ZTE Live Island displays notifications, reminders, and more. The Axon 60 has a 6.72-inch FHD+ display whereas the Lite model features a 6.6-inch screen with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. 

Both the ZTE Axon 60 phones have a 50MP main camera. The standard model has a 2MP macro sensor and an additional unspecified depth lens. Meanwhile, the Axon 60 Lite features a 2MP depth shooter and an AI unit. Up front, the standard and lite variants come with 32MP and 8MP selfie snappers. 

Internally, the ZTE Axon 60 and 60 Lite are equipped with Unisoc T616 and Unisoc T606 processors respectively. The former packs 6GB RAM whereas the latter is offered in a 4GB option with support for virtual RAM. Both phones have 256GB storage onboard. The ZTE Axon 60 duo draw their power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 22.5W charging. They run on Android 13 OS out of the box. 

The ZTE Axon 60 and Axon 60 Lite come in Gold, Purple, Black, and Blue colors. The former starts at MXN 3,699 (~$219) whereas the latter is priced at MXN 2,999 (~$177).

ZTE’s new upcoming smartphone, the “Nubia Z60S Pro,” has been spotted in the database. Last year, ZTE released the phone Nubia Z60 Ultra, which took attention for its impressive specifications. The phone comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a 6000 mAh battery capacity. The launch date of the Nubia Z60S Pro is not yet known, however, ZTE introduced the Nubia Z50S Pro in July 2023, and you can expect the unveiling of the Z60S Pro in 2024, possibly this summer, even maybe again in July.

The Z50S Pro came with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and we expect the Z60S Pro to come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. We expect the camera specs of the Z60S Pro to be much better than those of the Z50S Pro, but of course, it won’t be as good as the Z60 Ultra unfortunately. ZTE usually keeps the superior camera features for the Ultra model, as the Z50 Ultra had a 1/2.0″ telephoto camera, while the telephoto sensor size of the Z50S Pro was 1/4.4″, which means nearly as twice as small a camera and slightly more grainy photos. Nubia Z60S Pro is on the way

We spotted a new smartphone model named Nubia Z60S Pro in the our database. While the specifications of the phone are not yet known, we expect the Z60S Pro to be not as good as the Z60 Ultra for sure, but still expect it to be a powerful device. The model number for the upcoming smartphone is “NX725J.”

The previously introduced Nubia Z60 Ultra was truly impressive upon its market release. With its powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 6000 mAh battery, the Z60 Ultra also features a main camera with a 35mm focal length, a sweet choice loved by many photographers. This is noteworthy as most modern smartphones typically come with a 23 or 24mm lens, which can result in distortion even in the main camera. It seems that ZTE will be joining the powerful camera hardware trend in smartphones, as evidenced by their recent introduction of the special “Z60 Ultra Photographer Edition.” You can learn more by reading our previous article.

ZTE may surprise us by equipping the Z60S Pro with special camera features, similar to those found in the Ultra model. Note that the camera system of Z60S Pro will be slightly worse. However, it is too early to discuss what the new phone will offer, this is all we know for now.

ZTE today launched its 2024 flagship, Axon 60 Ultra. Just like its predecessor, the Axon 50 Ultra, it comes with a satellite connectivity feature. However, like the Axon 50 Ultra, it doesn’t include the latest flagship chipset. Notably, this flagship comes with a focus on security and is noted as the industry’s first secure mobile phone. So let’s take a look at what the phone has to offer and how it differentiates itself from the rest.

It offers ‘live voice calls’ and two-way text messaging through satellite

As mentioned before, the phone boasts “ZTE Hongyu satellite communication technology” and offers dual satellite connectivity. As a result, it can offer live voice calls and two-way text messaging without a cell service. It has 8 built-in 5G antennas and comes with an adaptive multi-antenna switching algorithm. This phone also has a built-in independent security chip and its operating system is based on a “dual-system” architecture.

This dual-system architecture offers the ability to switch between two different modes of operation, namely user mode and kernel mode. User mode allows applications to run with limited access to system resources, while kernel mode gives the OS unrestricted access to hardware resources. This separation prevents unauthorized access and ensures the OS can control and protect the system effectively.

The phone equips a 6.78 inch 1.5k, 120Hz OLED, which is up from last year’s 6.67-inch one. This SGS low blue-light certified panel offers a pixel density of 452PPI, which is also up from last year’s 395PPI.

Speaking of the other specifications, it is built around last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is backed by LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage and a massive 6000 mAh battery. Additionally, it offers support for NFC and infrared sensors and comes with an IP68 dust and water-resistant exterior.

On the back, the phone holds a 50MP triple camera setup with OIS on the main camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. Unfortunately, the company has not revealed the memory and storage configuration options and the respective prices as of writing. Nonetheless, the rest is expected to be revealed soon.

The ZTE U10S Pro 4G Portable WiFi is a pocket-sized device that can provide users with internet access on the go. Its compact size makes it easy to hold and carry.

The device features ZTE V3E chip, certified by the GCF (Global Certification Forum), boasts high reliability, and is independently developed. It offers stronger performance, more stable signals, and faster speeds.

ZTE’s commitment to innovation is reflected in its robust 2023 annual report. The company reported a net profit of 9.325 billion yuan, marking a significant 15.41% year-on-year increase. Total operating income in 2023 was 124.2509 billion yuan, an increase of 1.05% compared to the previous year. 

In 2023, the group’s gross profit margin was 41.53%, a year-on-year increase of 4.34 percentage points. This improvement was largely attributed to better gross profit margins across ZTE’s core businesses of operator network, government and enterprise, and consumer business. 

Additionally, operating costs decreased by 5.93% to 72.6503 billion yuan, primarily due to cost reductions in the government, enterprise, and consumer business sectors. These strong financial results show that ZTE can invest in the competitive AI mobile phone market.

Earlier this month, the Yuanhang 41S was spotted in the China Telecom database. Now, the smartphone has been officially revealed in the Chinese market. The Yuanhang 41S arrives mere days after the brand unveiled the Changxing 60 in the region. It sports a 6.52-inch LCD panel that offers an HD display and a 90Hz refresh rate. This screen offers a dark mode, eye protection mode, and reading mode as well.

Under the hood, the budget phone is equipped with the UNISOC T760 SoC that is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. ZTE has officially announced the new Changxing 60 model in its home market of China. The company’s latest device is an entry level handset but appears to have a design that is quite similar to Huawei’s 2020 flagship, the Mate 40 Pro. This device is the successor to the ZTE Changxing 50 that launched last year, so here are all the details.

ZTE Changxing 60 Specs

The Chinese tech giant launched the Changxing 60 as a new budget device, so it features some modest specifications. It is equipped with the UNISOC T7520 SoC that is paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The memory can even be expanded thanks to virtual RAM support. The rear features what the company refers to as the “space star ring” camera module, which houses the 13-megapixel main camera.

While this device is a full fledged smartphone, its software design and functionality are something more akin to a feature phone. It basically features a UI that seeks to keep things minimal and only arrives with commonly used apps. The system apps also follow this simple design philosophy. However, the external aesthetic appears a bit more premium. From the back, the ZTE Changxing 60 seems like a budget version of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro. This difference is quite apparent in the picture below, especially in Mate 40 Pro’s orange color variant.

ZTE, in collaboration with SoftBank’s subsidiary Y!mobile, has unveiled the Libero Flip, the brand’s first vertical folding 5G phone. This phone is priced at 63,000 yen (approximately $420). With pre-orders already underway, the Libero Flip is set to hit the shelves on February 29, offering consumers a glimpse into the future of mobile communication.

At the heart of the Libero Flip lies the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform. This device comes with a single storage configuration of 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device sports a sizable 6.9-inch internal screen with a resolution of 2790×1188, complemented by a convenient 1.43-inch circular external screen. This external display supports a range of functionalities, including camera usage for selfies, step tracking, weather updates, and music playback control.

Significant in the context of the ZTE Libero Flip, another clamshell foldable from its once subsidiary brand Nubia appeared on the IMEI database as Nubia Flip 5G with model number NX724J in December last year. It received the 3C certification yesterday with 33W charging support. This Nubia Flip 5G could be a rebranded version of the ZTE Libero Flip. The ZTE Axon 40 Pro went official in May 2022. It was one of the most affordable smartphones with a Snapdragon 870 chip and a curved display when it was released.

Almost two years later, the device is now being sold at almost half of its launch price. At its current selling price, the product offers more value than similarly priced new phones.

The 12GB + 256GB variant of the ZTE Axon 40 Pro was released at ¥3,298 (~$465). Currently, it is being sold on JD for just ¥1582 (~$220). That’s a discount of approximately 48%.

At this price, the handset offers an impressive set of features. It sports a 6.67-inch 10-bit curved display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), a 144Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits peak brightness level.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It has a quad camera system on the rear comprising a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selifes and video calls, it uses a 16MP shooter.

This new year 2024 is the year of the Dragon based on the Chinese zodiac. ZTE has launched commemorative smartphones for the Year of the Dragon. The ZTE U50 Pro and F50 5G portable WIFI have been unveiled in China. The Year of the Dragon commemorative model is engraved with a customized pattern on the fuselage of the devices.

The ZTE U50 Pro is equipped with a 2.4-inch touchscreen and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X62 chip. It supports 5G dual-mode and global roaming. The smartphone is compatible with networks in more than 100 countries and regions across the world. The phone also supports 5G NR network carrier aggregation and low-frequency ENDC technologies respectively.

In terms of connectivity, the U50 Pro supports WiFi 6 achieves a peak rate of 3,600Mbps, and supports up to 64 device connections. The phone has a 10,000mAh battery and supports up to 27W charging. The battery can sustain the device for up to 16 hours and supports NFC one-touch networking for mobile phones. Due to its large battery, the U50 Pro can be used as a power bank with up to 18W output.

The ZTE F50 has an ultra-thin body with dimensions of 78 x 62.8 x 10.3 mm and weighs about 50g. It supports 5G dual-mode, as well as multi-device connection. The F50 supports SA+NSA networks and the sub-6GHz frequency band with a peak rate DL 1.6Gbps. It also supports multiple power supply methods, plug and play, and is connectible to a Notebook via USB 3.0 Type-C interface. It also connects to charging heads, car mounts, power banks, and other power inputs, as well as operates as a WiFi hotspot.

The ZTE F50 has an 8-core processor and supports connections up to 10 devices. It can also be used as a TF card reader, as well as supports WiFi 5, 2.4G/ 5G dual band optionally.

Pricing & Availability

The ZTE U50 Pro is priced at 1,599 yuan ($226) while the F50 5G retails at 499 yuan ($70). The ZTE F50 in China is offered in several data packages. These include single-month, monthly fixed, long-term, and overlay packages, as well as a 1000G package. The prices of the packages fall between 99 yuan ($14) and 699 yuan ($99). There are no global availability details yet for the new ZTE commemorative models.

Earlier this week, ZTE launched the Axon 50 Lite in Mexico, featuring a design similar to that of the iPhone 14 Pro models. Today, the brand has unveiled a budget-friendly handset in China called the ZTE Changxing 50. It is priced at less than $130 and brings a large LCD display with a Unisoc processor under the hood. Here are the details.

ZTE Changxing 50 comes with a circular camera module on the back and gets a waterdrop notch on the display. The handset comes equipped with a 6.52-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600×720. It supports a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 90Hz refresh rate, and has an anti-blue light eye protection mode.

Powering the smartphone is a 5G processor, based on 6nm EUV process technology. The chipset features an 8-core CPU architecture, a maximum frequency of 2.2GHz, and an NPU computing power of 3.2TOPS. While the official model of this processor has not been announced, judging from the parameters, it is expected to be the Unisoc T760 5G processor.

Elsewhere, this new phone features a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear single camera. It is equipped with a built-in 4000mAh battery, supports 5W charging, includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, and runs on the Android 13-based MyOS 13 out of the box.

The ZTE Changxing 50 is listed on the company’s official website with a price tag of 899 yuan ($120). Currently, there is only one configuration of 4GB+128GB, and it is offered in two colors— grey and blue. ZTE has launched the ZTE Axon 50 Lite smartphone in Mexico. It is the second Axon 50-branded product after the Axon 50 Ultra, which was announced in China earlier this year. The Axon 50 Lite is a mid-range offering equipped with key features such as an FHD+ display, 50-megapixel triple cameras, a 5,000mAh battery, and a slim design.

The ZTE Axon 50 Lite features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with a teardrop notch. It offers a Full HD+ resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs on Android 13, which is overlaid with ZTE’s own MyOS UI, and measures 169.96 x 76.1 x 8.4mm.

On the front, the Axon 50 Lite features an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear shell has a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras for macro and depth shots. As can be seen in the images, the triple camera module of the Axon 50 Lite looks quite similar to the camera array available on iPhones.

Under the hood, the Axon 50 Lite features an unknown octa-core processor, which operates at 1.6GHz. The phone ships with 4 GB of RAM, 10 GB of virtual RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage. Packed inside the device is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. The Axon 50 Lite comes with other features, such as dual SIM, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a USB-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
