According to the leak, the device may feature a next-generation 2nm Snapdragon flagship chipset, tentatively dubbed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, alongside up to 16GB LPDDR6 RAM and 1TB storage.

The focus appears to be on delivering strong core performance and an upgraded display experience, while imaging is said to remain at a standard flagship level rather than a major upgrade. According to recent reports, the cost of a single 2nm wafer from TSMC is expected to exceed $30,000. That’s nearly double the price of today’s mainstream 4nm wafers. Manufacturing at this scale is not just technologically difficult; it’s also financially demanding.

Flagship phones from sub-brands will increase in price in 2026

When core components become more expensive, the final product usually follows. A well-known industry tipster, Digital Chat Station, claims that next-generation flagship smartphones from sub-brands like OnePlus, iQOO, and Redmi equipped with 2nm chips will start at 5,000 yuan (~$725). The base variant is said to feature 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

There’s an immersive mode that combines noise cancellation with environmental noise reduction for planes, trains, and buses.

Each earbud has three microphones with AI noise reduction for calls. They connect via Bluetooth 5.4 and support Google Fast Pair, dual-device connections, and audio sharing across Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices. Two pairs of earbuds can connect to one source at the same time.

The earbuds are Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified and support the LDAC codec for high-resolution streaming. Noise control is another major feature. The earbuds support active noise cancellation up to 55dB with coverage up to 5kHz. Xiaomi says the system can sample environmental sound up to 32,000 times per second and automatically adjust cancellation based on surroundings and how the earbuds are worn. There is also a dedicated commuting mode designed for airplanes, trains, and public transport that combines noise cancellation with masking audio to reduce background distractions. For voice calls, the earbuds include three microphones per side with AI noise reduction and wind resistance up to 12m/s.

Battery life is rated at up to 8 hours on a single charge and up to 33 hours with the charging case. Each earbud contains a 54mAh battery, while the case has a 480mAh battery. Fast charging is supported, with a 5-minute charge providing up to 2 hours of playback. The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4, dual-device multipoint connectivity, audio sharing between two pairs, Google Fast Pair, and customization through the Xiaomi Earbuds app. They also carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

A new budget pair of Redmi earbuds may be on the way. According to a report by YtechB, Xiaomi is ready to launch Redmi Buds 8 Active, the renders and price of which have now surfaced online. 

The Active branding here means a more affordable model than a more rugged one. And it likely sits below the Redmi Buds 8 Lite in the lineup. 

Redmi Buds 8 Active Specifications

Visually, the Buds 8 Active borrows heavily from the Lite version, but there is one clear difference: instead of using an in-ear silicone tip design, the Buds 8 Active reportedly adopt a semi-in-ear, or open-fit, structure. That means no rubber ear tips sealing the ear canal. 

The ear stem design, however, remains largely unchanged from the Lite variant. Based on the leaked renders, the charging case also looks nearly identical to the Lite model. It’s expected to come in three classic color options: blue, black, and white.

On the hardware side, the Redmi Buds 8 Active are said to feature a 14.2mm dynamic driver paired with a titanium diaphragm. 

For connectivity and audio quality, the earbuds are expected to support the AAC high-definition audio codec. There’s also mention of a dual-microphone system with AI-powered call noise reduction and wind noise reduction up to 6 meters per second.

Each earbud is tipped to pack a 37mAh battery, while the charging case carries a 475mAh cell. Playback time is estimated at around 7 hours on a single charge, extending up to 37 hours when combined with the case. Charging is said to take about 1 hour for the earbuds and roughly 2.5 hours for the case.

Redmi K90 Ultra launch timeframe (rumored)

According to Experience More, a sub-series performance-focused smartphone powered by the Dimensity 9500 is currently in development. While he did not mention the name of the device, it appears that he could be referring to the Redmi K90 Ultra.

He added that the device, carrying the model number 2604FRK1EC, is said to feature an ultra-high refresh rate display along with a built-in cooling fan, indicating a strong focus on gaming and sustained performance. This model number, along with its Redmi K90 Ultra branding, was spotted in the GSMA IMEI database back in December 2025.

The numbers “2604” indicate that the Redmi K90 Ultra may debut as early as April in China. The device will be powered by the Dimensity 9500, not the Dimensity 9500 Plus chip as previously speculated. The D9500+ is expected much later in the second half of the year.

As per reports, the K90 Ultra is expected to feature a massive 6.8-inch display offering a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. What makes the Redmi K90 Ultra stand out is the reported inclusion of an internal cooling fan. Here’s a look at what to expect from the device.

Redmi A7 Pro approved in the UAE, Thailand

The Redmi A7 Pro has appeared with the model number 25128RN17Y in TDRA’s database, whereas it has been spotted with the model number 25128RN17A in Thailand. The latter was also seen on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform. These listings do not confirm anything about the core specifications of the phone, but the NBTC listing reveals that it will be a 4G LTE phone.

The appearance of the Redmi A7 Pro moniker suggests that the company has decided to skip the Redmi A6 altogether. Therefore, the A7 Pro is the successor to last year’s Redmi A5.

Redmi’s sibling brand Poco is said to be working on the Poco C81 (model number: 25128RN17G). This is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi A7 Pro, just as last year’s Poco C71 was a rebadged edition of the Redmi A5.

Redmi A7 Pro key specifications

As per the previously seen FCC listing, the Redmi A7 Pro will arrive with a 6.9-inch LCD panel, which may have a waterdrop notch and support an HD+ resolution. Likely, it will run on Android 15 Go edition.

As can be seen, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station can be seen talking about an upcoming high-performance tablet. While he has not specified the name of the device, it is largely believed that he could be talking about the Redmi K Pad 2.

The leak suggests that the Redmi K Pad 2 may feature a custom-made 8.8-inch LCD panel offering a 165Hz refresh rate and a 3K resolution. To recall, the Redmi K Pad also featured the same-sized screen with the same resolution and refresh rate.

The leak further states that the Redmi K Pad 2 will feature a flagship-level processor, dual X-axis motors for enhanced haptics, and improved symmetrical dual speakers with co-tuned audio.

Xiaomi is kicking off February with a new round of after-sales perks. The company has announced its February Super Service Week, running from February 1st to February 8th, during which the brand is offering discounts on battery replacements, device cleaning, and appliance servicing across China.

The headline offer this time is a 20% discount on smartphone battery replacements. According to Xiaomi, the program will cover 70 phone models with replacement prices starting at 79.2 yuan after the discount. 

The list goes back to 2020

What’s notable is how far back the supported models go. The list includes several older flagships, such as the Xiaomi 10 series, Xiaomi 11 Pro, and Xiaomi Mix Fold.

For instance, the Xiaomi 10 series was launched back in February 2020. At the time, CEO Lei Jun described the Xiaomi 10 as a product designed to break free from strict price constraints and push Xiaomi firmly into the high-end smartphone market.

The battery discount isn’t limited to flagships either. Xiaomi says models like the Redmi 10A, Redmi Note 9, Redmi K40 series, and even the newer Redmi K80 series are also part of the program. 

Beyond phones, Xiaomi’s Super Service Week also includes double discounts on old appliances for trade-ins, 50 percent off deep cleaning and maintenance for laptops, and a fixed price of 99 yuan for cleaning and maintenance of air conditioners and washing machines.

Xiaomi Service is also using the campaign to remind users about everyday battery care, encouraging more “scientific” charging habits and avoiding extreme temperatures to help extend battery life. 

Xiaomi has been running such programs regularly in China to let users make the most out of their smartphones. For now, though, these initiatives are limited to just the mainland. 

It’s hard not to wish Xiaomi would bring similar programs to global users as well, especially as phones get more expensive and people hold onto their devices longer than ever.

The new monitor offers high refresh rate gaming at a very aggressive price point.

The Redmi G25 features a 24.5-inch IPS panel with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. It supports a 200 Hz refresh rate, matching the larger Redmi G27, and is designed for fast-paced competitive games. Xiaomi lists a 1 ms gray-to-gray response time, along with wide 178-degree viewing angles typical of IPS displays.

In terms of image quality, the monitor delivers up to 400 nits of peak brightness and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. It supports 8-bit color output and covers 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. Xiaomi also includes adaptive sync support to reduce screen tearing during gameplay. The display is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light and uses DC dimming to help reduce eye strain during long sessions.

Connectivity is basic, which is to be expected from a budget monitor. It has a G25 one DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI .0 port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. There are no USB ports or built-in speakers. The included stand supports tilt adjustment, and the monitor is compatible with VESA mounting for users who prefer monitor arms or wall mounts.

Xiaomi released a Harry Potter version of its Redmi Pad 2 Pro tablet in China. The Harry Potter Edition has the same hardware as the standard Redmi Pad 2 Pro, which launched globally last September.

The tablet has a 12.1-inch LCD screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 120Hz refresh rate. The display hits 600 nits of brightness and uses Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. Touch sampling goes up to 360Hz, and stylus input reaches 240Hz. The screen has China Quality Certification Center Visual Dimension S++ rating and TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free operation, and rhythm-friendly viewing. The 12GB/256GB variant includes a soft light screen.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Buds 8 Pro TWS earbuds in China. The new earbuds feature a coaxial triple-driver setup and dual DACs, aiming to deliver high-fidelity audio at an affordable price of 399 yuan ($57).

Redmi Buds 8 Pro Specifications

Each earbud houses an 11mm titanium-coated dynamic driver for bass and mids, along with two 6.7mm micro piezoelectric ceramic drivers for handling high frequencies. The system uses independent frequency crossover and dual DACs to drive high and low frequencies separately. The earbuds support the MIHC audio codec developed by Xiaomi and are compatible with LHDC-V5. They also carry Hi-Res Wireless Audio certification.

The Buds 8 Pro features Xiaomi’s Deep Space Noise Cancellation 3.0 system, which supports up to 55dB of noise reduction across an ultra-wide 5kHz range. The system samples environmental noise and ear-fit conditions 32,000 times per second to adapt in real time, while offering 20 ANC levels, intelligent scene detection, personalized noise-cancellation profiles, and single-ear operation.

The earbuds support spatial audio with dynamic head tracking using a six-axis gyroscope. Xiaomi has integrated its own spatial audio rendering engine alongside Dolby Audio support. However, Dolby’s spatial audio mode does not support head tracking.

The Buds 8 Pro offer up to 8.5 hours of playback on a single charge. With the charging case, total battery life reaches up to 35 hours. Fast charging provides 2 hours of playback with a 5-minute charge. The earbuds do not support wireless charging.

Xiaomi has added swipe gestures on the earbud stems for precise volume control with haptic feedback, while a redesigned light bar on the charging case shows battery status and charging progress through animated lighting.

Talking about smart features, the earbuds support Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, Smart Find, audio handoff between devices, dual-device connection, and notification voice broadcast, along with hearing health monitoring and in-ear karaoke functions, with some features requiring a Xiaomi phone or tablet running HyperOS 3 or later.

The Redmi Buds 8 Pro come in Mist Blue, Black, and White colors with a matte, skin-friendly finish.

In India, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G starts at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and Rs 31,999 for the 8GB + 256GB option. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G has a starting price tag of Rs 37,999, which goes up to Rs 39,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and Rs 43,999 for the 12GB + 512GB option. As of right now, pre-orders are already live on Amazon, the brand’s official website, and authorized retail stores. First sales will kick off in the region on 4th February 2026, with an instant bank discount offer that cuts the price by up to Rs 3,000 on select credit cards. The Note 15 Pro is available in Carbon Black, Silver Ash, and Mirage Blue, while the Note 15 Pro+ arrives in Carbon Black, Coffee Mocha, and Mirage Blue.

Redmi has officially started revealing key details of the Redmi Turbo 5 after confirming the major features of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max over the past few days. Through newly shared posters, the brand has confirmed the display size, battery capacity, charging capabilities, and chipset of the standard Turbo 5. Here is a closer look at everything that has been officially revealed so far.

Redmi Turbo 5 key specifications confirmed

Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 5 will feature a 6.59-inch OLED display, which is said to support a 1.5K resolution. Powering the device is the Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset. It is paired with LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, indicating flagship-level performance hardware.For heat dissipation, it features a 3D Ice-Sealed Circulation Cooling Pump, offering three times the heat dissipation of traditional VC cooling systems.

The Redmi Turbo 5 was recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform with the same chipset. The listing revealed that the device packs 16GB of RAM and runs Android 16. It is expected to ship with HyperOS 3 layered on top of the Android operating system.

In terms of battery, the Redmi Turbo 5 houses a large 7,560mAh battery. It supports 100W wired fast charging along with 27W reverse charging. For build quality, the smartphone comes with a metal frame and a 2.5D glass back panel.

Official images suggest that the Redmi Turbo 5 will be available in white and mint green color options. In China, the device is expected to be priced at around 2,000 Yuan (~$290), placing it in the upper mid-range segment.

As per rumours, the Redmi Turbo 5 may be rebranded as the Poco X8 Pro for global markets. While the Turbo 5 itself could remain exclusive to China, its specifications are likely to carry over to the Poco-branded version. Redmi is also expected to launch the Turbo 5 Max alongside it in China, which may arrive globally as the Poco X8 Pro Max or Poco X8 Max.

After the global release, Redmi is set to launch the Redmi Note 15 series in India on January 29. Ahead of the debut, a fresh leak has now shared the price and pre-booking offers for the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ in the country. 

According to Abhishek Yadav on X, the Note 15 Pro+ will retail at Rs 38,999 for the 8/256GB variant. Of course, this is not the only flavor. Redmi will also offer the phone in 12/256GB and 12/512GB models. But the 8/256GB being the base suggests the higher-tier variant will retail for more than Rs 40,000. 

For the price, the company will include one year of free screen replacement and a Redmi Watch Move as pre-booking offers. The latter costs Rs 1,999 on its own and features an AMOLED display.

Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Specifications

Let’s also take a look at what the phone brings in itself. It is built around a 6.83-inch quad-curved AMOLED screen that refreshes at 120Hz and has 1.5K resolution. The display is also HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision certified, with protection from Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

You also get a 32MP selfie camera on the front, while the rear has a 200MP Samsung HPE primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, alongside a 6500mAh cell that supports 100W charging. Software-wise, it boots on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 custom skin out of the box.

The Pro+ also includes IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K water and dust resistance, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a trio of safety certifications, such as SGS 5 Star, TÜV SÜD, and TÜV Rheinland Triple Eye Protection.

Redmi has officially confirmed the Redmi Turbo 5 series is scheduled to debut in China on Jan. 29 and will include two models, the Redmi Turbo 5 and the Turbo 5 Max. Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group and General Manager of the Redmi brand, released a Weibo post to outline Redmi’s broader direction with the Turbo series and set the stage for what is positioned as a major mid-range performance release.

Redmi Turbo 5 series positioning and strategy

According to Lu Weibing, the Turbo series has been developed to bridge the gap between mainstream and flagship performance. He explained that Redmi is relying on the Turbo lineup to handle the highly competitive 2.5K Yuan (~$360) price segment, even as component costs continue to rise across the industry.

The Turbo brand is meant to carry forward Redmi’s value-driven approach without diluting performance expectations, especially for users who prioritize speed, stability, and long-term usability.

Weibing also reflected on the success of earlier Turbo models, including the Turbo Pro variants launched last year, which achieved strong early sales and helped shift user perception around performance-focused phones in this category. This foundation, he said, has allowed Redmi to push harder with the Turbo 5 generation.

The highlight of Weibing’s reveal is the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, which introduces a more aggressive hardware approach compared to the standard model. He confirmed that the Turbo 5 Max will debut with the Dimensity 9500s chipset, marking the first time the Turbo series adopts a flagship-grade Dimensity 9000-class processor. Performance figures shared by Redmi suggest the device is tuned to challenge phones priced well above the equivalent of the 4,000 CNY (~$575) segment.

The Turbo 5 Max is set to feature a 9,000mAh battery combined with Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS-level power management. Weibing claimed that real-world endurance could surpass some 10,000mAh competitors, despite the smaller capacity on paper. Beyond raw numbers, Redmi is also emphasising premium build quality, refined design, improved haptics, and comprehensive water resistance, aiming to bring a near-flagship experience into a more accessible category.

Apart from confirming these details, Redmi also shared the official images of the Turbo 5 in white and the Turbo 5 Max in orange. The Turbo 5 will be a smaller model with a 6.59-inch screen and a Dimensity 8500 chip, whereas the Turbo 5 Max will have a 6.83-inch screen. Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, expanding the Turbo series with a strong focus on battery longevity and fast charging. Revealed by CEO Lei Jun, the device is the first Xiaomi smartphone to feature a 9000mAh Jinshajiang battery, designed to support up to 1600 charging cycles.

To emphasize long-term durability, Xiaomi is offering a five-year battery warranty during the first sale period. Under this policy, users are eligible for a free battery replacement if battery health falls below 80 percent within five years, with servicing fully covered through official Xiaomi service centers.

Redmi Turbo 5 Max supports 100W PPS wired fast charging, powered by Xiaomi’s Surge P3 charging chip, matching charging speeds seen on Xiaomi flagship models. It also includes 27W reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to function as a power bank. Bypass charging is supported to reduce heat and battery wear during extended gaming or heavy use.

Xiaomi claims a record energy density of 894Wh/L, the highest in its history. In internal testing, the Turbo 5 Max reportedly outlasted a competing smartphone with a 10,000mAh battery by 43 minutes.

The camera setup also appears to be the same, with an identical 200MP Samsung HPE primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra wide angle lens. However, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ upgrades the selfie camera with a 32MP shooter. You can expect full day battery life again, thanks to the large 6,500mAh battery pack with support for 100W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.

Notably, this leak arrives a month after the Chinese tech giant announced the Note 15 series in the global market. While the base Note 15 was priced around 330 US Dollars, the Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ models were priced at 468 US Dollars and 550 US Dollars, respectively. So we can expect the Indian pricing to carry a similar price tag. On the other hand, Xiaomi had also revealed the Redmi Note 15 5G in India earlier this month. Redmi wants to talk about the battery life of the upcoming Turbo 5 Max. And it is doing so in a livestream scheduled for tomorrow.

The company announced on its official Weibo account that it will hold a “Turbo 5 Max Battery Endurance Challenge” tomorrow at 9 AM. The event will be live on Xiaomi’s official site, Weibo handle, and Douyin (Chinese TikTok)

According to Redmi, the event will be a head-to-head comparison test featuring phones in the same general price category. The brand is calling it the first “test to death” live stream of 2026. Quite dramatic, but okay. 

The Turbo 5 Max features a 9000mAh battery. It’s the biggest battery phone from not just Redmi but Xiaomi as a whole, and the company really wants to show its prowess. 

Redmi vs Honor

Redmi claims its new phone can go up against competing phones that advertise 9,000mAh and even 10,000mAh capacities. For those unaware, phones from Honor (Power 2 / Win / Win RT) are the only ones with a 10,000mAh cell. 

According to Xiaomi President Lu Weibing, the phone should comfortably last a full day even under heavy use. Xiaomi also claims this battery reaches an energy density of 894Wh/L, which the company says is the highest in its industry. 

Beyond the battery, there isn’t much official information yet. According to reports, the phone will be priced around 2,500 yuan, roughly $360 

It is expected to come with a 1.5K OLED LTPS display and support for 100W fast charging. Powering the device is a Dimensity 9500s chipset that scored an impressive 3.29 million points on Geekbench.  It has also appeared on Geekbench with 16GB of RAM and Android 16.

As for cameras, the device will likely ship with a 50MP wide and 8MP ultrawide combo on the back. 

Redmi has not revealed an official launch date yet, but you can expect it to launch in late January or early February.
