Yesterday, Xiaomi revealed that it will launch the Redmi Note 13 series in India on January 4. Today, the company has confirmed that it will be bringing the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus to the country.

For the unaware, this is the best Redmi Note Xiaomi has ever produced in terms of specs. It comes with several premium premium features, which we discussed soon after its debut in China.

The company has set up a dedicated teaser page on its Indian website to reveal the features in a gradual manner in the coming days. However, since the phone is already official and on sale in China for months, we know everything about it.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Specifications

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus (review) flaunts a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with a centered punch-hole display. The 10-bit panel supports 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, 1800 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision.

The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chip paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, It boots MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

It houses a triple camera system on the rear comprising a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, it has a 16MP shooter.

However, Huawei’s recent shift towards its “Ultimate Design” philosophy led to the conclusion of their partnership this year.

Now, Honor has stepped in to take the reins. Rumors have it that the Magic 6 series will be the first device from Honor to feature Porsche Design. Leaks also suggest that the upcoming Magic V3 foldable might follow suit.

The Redmi Note 13 series made its initial debut in China in September. Yesterday, Xiaomi confirmed that it will be bringing the lineup to India on January 4.

The original models don’t come in 4G flavors. However, we have been hearing about LTE variants for quite a while now.

Now, a source has revealed the specs of the Redmi Note 13 4G series. Let’s go through the details.

Redmi Note 13 4G lineup to feature upgraded cameras

A report by Appuals discloses that there will be two 4G-only Redmi Note 13 phones. These devices will officially go by Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Note 13 Pro without 5G moniker at the end of their names.

Going by the specifications, these devices will be almost identical to their predecessors. The only major changes will be the primary camera for both models and chip for the pro variant.

The duo is said to flaunt a 6.67-inch AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The panel will max at FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and 120Hz refresh rate.

The vanilla version will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chip like the Redmi Note 12, whereas the pro model is expected to house an unknown MediaTek SoC. The latter will likely feature a Helio G99 chipset.

The duo will ship with MIUI 14 based on Android 13. As for memory configurations, they will be available in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants.

Both of them are tipped to sport a triple-camera system comprising an 8MP ultrawide unit and a 2MP sensor for either depth or macro. The main camera is said to be a 108MP sensor on the standard version as opposed to a 200MP sensor on the pro variant. For the unaware, their forerunners feature 50MP and 108MP sensors, respectively.

They are said to come with all the important connectivity options, such as dual SIM, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C. They will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack and will be available in at least two colors (purple and green).

This clue comes from Xiaomi’s software development, spotted by eagle-eyed folks at Xiaomiui. The report suggests while Xiaomi is actively working on the global version of the new HyperOS for the Xiaomi 14, there’s no such activity for the Pro model.

The latest internal test build for the 14’s HyperOS dates back two months, further suggesting the Pro might be getting the cold shoulder.

It’s important to remember this is just based on software development, and things could change when Xiaomi officially announces the 14 series globally next year. There’s also a rumor that instead of the Pro, Xiaomi might be focusing on a new “Ultra” model to sit alongside the 14. But for now, take this with a grain of salt.

The standard 14 still packs a punch. It boasts a large 6.36-inch OLED display with vibrant colors (thanks to 12-bit depth), a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and incredible brightness up to 3000 nits. The phone packs the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage for all your needs.

Around the back, you get a triple camera system featuring a 50MP main sensor with image stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens for bringing distant objects closer. The main camera’s aperture also adjusts automatically from f/1.6 to f/2.2 for ideal lighting in any situation. On the front, you get a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Lava has officially launched the Yuva 3 Pro smartphone in India today as scheduled. The budget smartphone is the successor of Yuva 2 Pro from earlier this year.

The latest model not only comes with a revamped design but also upgraded specs. Despite major changes, it only gets a ₹1,000 price hike compared to its predecessor.

The Lava Yuva 3 Pro sports a flat frame design and a glass back. It has vertically aligned dual cameras on the rear above a platform that resembles the one found on the Galaxy S22.

The device flaunts a 6.5-inch punch-hole display. This LCD panel offers an HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels), 269 PPI, and a 90Hz refresh rate.

It is powered by a Unisoc T616 chip paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. As for software, it boots Android 13 and is guaranteed to receive 2 years of security updates.
