A tipster had revealed that the Redmi Note 13R Pro will feature a 64MP primary camera. It’s likely that the phone will share some key specifications from the standard Redmi Note 13. The device is also expected to launch in India but under a different name.

We can expect the information regarding the Redmi Note 13R Pro to gather pace in the coming weeks.

iPhone 16 Pro is expected to feature same tetraprism telephoto lens as 15 Pro Max

Apple announced its new iPhone lineup with some quality-of-life upgrades. Notably, the iPhone 15 Pro Max stands out as the only device to feature the new periscope camera with 5x optical zoom.

It is natural to expect that this lens would also make its way to the iPhone 16 Pro Max next year. However, according to a new report by supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 16 Pro is also expected to feature the same tetraprism telephoto camera lens, which will bring the two models into parity.

The tetraprism lens introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year allows for a longer focal length without making the phone thicker. It works by bouncing light around inside the lens, which effectively increases the distance between the lens and the sensor.

The iPhone 15 Pro currently has a 3x optical zoom lens, so the addition of the tetraprism lens to the iPhone 16 Pro will bring it on par with the Pro Max. This means that both Pro models will offer the same level of optical zoom capability.

Kuo’s report also sheds some light on why the tetraprism lens is only available on the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. The lens is complex to manufacture and is only produced by Largan, which is causing a supply bottleneck.

However, Kuo predicts that by next year, Apple may allow another supplier, Genius, to produce the lenses. This could help to reduce production challenges and allow Apple to add the tetraprism lens to more iPhone models, including the iPhone 16 Pro.

CMF by Nothing unveils Buds Pro TWS with 45db ANC & Power 65W GaN Charger

Nothing had announced a new sub-brand earlier this year. Now, CMF by Nothing has just unveiled its first three products. The company has announced a new smartwatch, a truly wireless earbuds, and a GaN charger. So now, here’s everything you need to know about the CMF Buds Pro and the Power 65W Charger.

CMF Buds Pro

Talking about the hearables first, the Buds Pro are the company’s latest wireless earphones (following the Ear 1, Ear 2, and Ear Stick). Unlike Nothing’s existing audio product portfolio, the CMF Buds Pro arrives as the most affordable TWS model. However, the cheaper price tag is made possible thanks to cut corners, with the earbuds no longer featuring the iconic transparent body. There will likely be some differences in the audio quality of the CMF Buds Pro and the Ear series of earbuds.

CMF Buds Pro Launch

Despite this, the CMF Buds Pro still offers some premium features like hybrid ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) with up to 45 decibels of noise reduction. Furthermore, it also comes with clear call technology and a powerful bass boost option. Each earbuds house a 55mAh battery pack, which can deliver up to 11 hours of audio playback with ANC turned off. When paired with the charging case, the Buds Pro can last for up to 39 hours (with ANC off).

As per official notes, mere 10 minutes of charging can offer up to five hours of music playback. The earbuds’ charging case adopts a pebble-like circular case, while the earbuds adopt a stem and in-ear design. CMF Buds Pro can be used with the Nothing X app, which lets users gain access to a customizable equalizer and personalize the touch controls as well. It is available in multiple color options, namely gray, white, and orange, similar to the Watch Pro wearable.

CMF Power 65W GaN Charger

Out of the three new launches, CMF Power 65W Charger is the most affordable products. The company’s new device is a GaN (Gallium Nitride) charger. In other words, this can help users charge their electronic gadgets quickly. This charger is supported for smartphones, earbuds, smartwatch, and even most notebooks as well. It houses three ports, which include two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port.

CMF By Nothing Buds Pro Launch

Additionally, it arrives with a wide compatibility, supporting PD3.0, QC4.0+/3.0/2.0, SCP, FCP, PPS, AFC, Samsung 9V2A, DCP, and Apple 2.4A protocols. This means that most popular electronic products will be supported by this Power 65W Charger. Apart from 65W fast charging, it supports a wide voltage range from 100-240V. So if you travel across the globe, rest assured that this is safe to use worldwide. This can be purchased in either a grey or orange color option.

Pricing & Availability

CMF is a relatively more affordable brand compared to its parent company, Nothing. The new CMF Buds Pro are available for a 49 US Dollar price tag, while the CMF Power 65W Charger will go on sale for 39 US Dollars. All of the new gadgets will go on sale later this month, although a specific launch date hasn’t been revealed yet.

Aside from biosensors, the smart wearable even helps track other physical activities like bike rides, running, yoga, and much more. On a single full charge, the Charge 5 can last for up to a whole week, with a full charge taking just 2 hours. We can expect slight changes in specs but the company shouldn’t make drastic overhauls in the gadget. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt.

OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 officially unveiled: Here’s what’s new

After launching a few Android 14 beta builds for some of its devices, OnePlus has now officially debuted its OxygenOS 14 operating system, giving us a clear idea of what we can expect from the new OS.

OxygenOS 14

Trinity Engine

OxygenOS 14 Trinity Engine

With OxygenOS 14, OnePlus has introduced its very own optimization system called the Trinity Engine. This tool focuses on making your phone faster, smoother, and more efficient at using resources. It does three important things:

CPU Vitalization

CPU Vitalization helps your phone manage its power wisely. It figures out when your phone needs more power for tasks and when it can save power to make your battery last longer.

RAM Vitalization

RAM Vitalization was first introduced in OnePlus 11 with OxygenOS 13, and it got even better in OxygenOS 14. It makes sure your apps run smoothly and can stay open in the background for a long time, so you can switch between them quickly.

ROM Vitalization

ROM Vitalization prevents your phone from slowing down, even if you’ve had it for a long time. It uses smart tricks such as efficient compression algorithms, file defragmentation, and memory acceleration to keep things running fast.

Gaming Gets Better with OxygenOS 14

If you’re a gamer, you’ll love OxygenOS 14 because it significantly improves the mobile gaming experience through three key features:

HyperRendering

HyperRendering is an advanced graphics optimization algorithm developed in-house. Its primary goal is to make the graphics in mobile games look even better. This enhancement results in a more immersive gaming experience, with sharper and more detailed visuals.

HyperTouch

HyperTouch focuses on improving how you interact with your phone during gaming. It makes sure that your touch inputs on the screen are incredibly smooth, precise, and stable. This means you’ll have more control and accuracy in your games.

HyperBoost

HyperBoost is like a smart assistant for gaming. It helps your phone save power while still making sure your games run smoothly. So, you get a great gaming experience without your phone getting too hot or running out of battery too quickly.

Privacy and Security Emphasis

In OxygenOS 14, OnePlus has placed a strong emphasis on security, enhancing several of its privacy and security-oriented features.

OxygenOS 14 Auto Pixelate

Device Security Engine 3.0: This feature uses a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) to boost device security and prevent malicious attacks that try to break into the device.

Strong Box4: For better data security, Strong Box4, equipped with a Built-in eSE (embedded Secure Element) security chip, shields passwords and sensitive data from unauthorized access.

Auto Pixelate 2.0: When sharing screenshots, this feature automatically obscures sensitive information, ensuring privacy.

Aquamorphic Design 2.0

Aquamorphic Design 2.0

The Aquamorphic Design is also getting an update with new interactions, animations, music, and dynamic color changes, making the user experience more pleasant and engaging.

Fluid Cloud Notifications

A standout feature in Aquamorphic Design 2.0 is Fluid Cloud. It presents notifications in bubbles, capsules, and panels that flow naturally, minimizing disruption. You can personalize it to show real-time services conveniently, and it syncs notifications across your devices.

Dynamic Color System

The color system in OxygenOS 14 adjusts based on factors like the time of day and your smartphone’s status. For example, it changes when your phone is charging or when you’re working out. The lock screen background color changes throughout the day.

Revamped Sound Experience

OxygenOS 14 offers nine sets of Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and eleven new UI sound designs. These sound effects are clean and soothing.

Eco-Friendly Go Green AOD

Go Green AOD

The Go Green AOD theme reflects your daily step count, illustrating how more steps can reduce CO2 emissions. It encourages eco-friendly choices and a healthier lifestyle.

New Smart Features

File Dock

With File Dock, you can gather, analyze, and share data with simple gestures. Plus, you can move content between different devices, like your phone or tablet, by dragging and dropping it.

Notes 2.0

OxygenOS 14 Notes 2.0

OxygenOS 14 gives your Notes feature a makeover. It’s now simpler to edit and organize your notes. You can change the way your notes look by adding colors, underlines, and other formatting touches. You can also make templates with different text styles and sizes.

Smart Cutout

Similar to Google’s Magic Eraser, OnePlus has introduced the Smart Cutout feature that can identify and crop out up to three subjects in a single photo or video. To do this, all you need to do is a long press on the subject. The feature can accurately pick out the subject, even if the background is complicated, has similar colors to the subject, or if there are lots of people in the picture.

The flagship OnePlus 11 will be the first smartphone to receive a stable version of OxygenOS 14. Users can expect the update to pop up sometime around mid-November. If you are eager to test out the new OS before the stable releases, you can participate in the beta testing phase. Here’s when OnePlus plans to launch the open beta builds for all of its eligible devices.

ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate surfaces on GeekBench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Last month, we reported on the ASUS ROG Phone 8 series being spotted on the IMEI database. But now, the top-end ROG Phone 8 Ultimate has surfaced on GeekBench, which reveals some of its key specifications. So let’s have a look.

ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate GeekBench

As the name suggests, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate is the flagship model in ASUS’ upcoming gaming smartphone lineup. Looking at the GeekBench listing, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate was spotted carrying the ASUS_AI2401_A model number. The benchmark reveals that the device features an octa core processor that has a 1+5+2 CPU architecture, which is likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC that is set to launch next month.

ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate

The ASUS ROG Phone 8 series is a premium grade lineup, so a high-end processor isn’t surprising. This chipset will be paired with at least one 16GB RAM variant. In the listing, we can see that the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate will run on Android 14 OS out of the box. Furthermore, the benchmarking results show that the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate scored 2,213 points in the single core test and 7,408 points in the multi core test.

As of right now, the ROG Phone 8 lineup’s launch is still a while away. So finer details like their design, specs, and pricing are still unclear. ASUS is expected to launch this device in the first half of next year, similar to how the ROG Phone 7 series launched in April earlier this year. So stick around for more updates regarding these devices.
