Oppo Find N3 Flip launch date tipped, new image reveals renewed design once again

Recent reports have revealed that the Oppo phone with the PHT110 model number, which has been detected on Chinese certification platforms, is rumored to be the upcoming Oppo Find N3 Flip. In a new leak, tipster Panda is Bald has revealed its launch date and design.

According to the tipster, the OPPO Find N3 Flip will debut on Aug. 29 in China. It has been speculated that devices like the Find N3, Pad Air 2, and Watch 4 series will also debut alongside the Find N3 Flip. However, the tipster has also claimed that the Find N3 will launch separately in September. It is therefore unclear which other products will launch with the Find N3 Flip. Below is the image that the tipster shared.

OPPO Find N3 Flip design leak
OPPO Find N3 Flip design leak

As can be seen, the leaked poster is in line with recently leaked images of the Find N3 Flip. The cover display looks almost identical to the one available on the Find N2 Flip. The redesigned circular camera module now houses three cameras instead of the two cameras that were seen on the N2 Flip.

The tipster claimed that the Find N3 Flip will arrive with upgrades, such as 67W fast charging and a 2x portrait lens, which seems to be a 32-megapixel camera. If other reports are to be believed, the N3 Flip will have the Dimensity 9200 chipset and a 4,800mAh battery. The other specs of the device could be identical to the predecessor model.

Oppo Find N3 Flip specifications (rumored)

The Find N3 Flip may arrive with a 6.8-inch foldable FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 3.26-inch AMOLED cover display, a D9200 chip, 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a 4,800mAh battery with 67W fast charging, a side-facing fingerprint sensor, and ColorOS 13.1-based Android 13. Honor Magic V2 Lite with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in works, could be the most affordable foldable phone in China

Honor is reportedly working on multiple foldable phones. The company recently launched the Honor Magic V2 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. In the coming year, it is expected to launch the Magic Flip, which will be Honor’s first vertically foldable smartphone. However, with a couple of months remaining in this year, the brand may announce as many as two more foldable phones, such as the Honor Magic V Slim and the Honor Magic V2 Lite.

Honor Magic V2 Lite: What to expect?

Honor-Magic-V2
Honor Magic V2

Before Honor unveiled the Honor Magic V2, there were rumors that the company might announce the device in two chipset variants. However, Honor only unveiled the Magic V2 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip last month. The rumored Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 variant was not announced.

It appears that the V2’s SD8G+1 variant does exist, as a Chinese tipster has revealed the existence of the Magic V2 Lite. He has also said that the device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. The other specifications of the device are not known yet. The “Lite” mentioned in the moniker of the device suggests that the device will be positioned below the Magic V2.

The tipster has hinted that the device will carry a cheaper price tag. The Magic V2 has a starting price of 8,999 Yuan (~$1,235). There is a possibility that the Magic V2 Lite could be priced at around 5,000 Yuan, making it one of the most affordable horizontally foldable phones in the Chinese market. Another reliable tipster, Teme, has confirmed its existence by calling it the Magic V2 Youth Edition, which is nothing but the Magic V2 Lite.

As far as the Magic V2 Slim is concerned, it is said to be a foldable phone with an outward folding design. The device is expected to debut in October this year in China. In all likelihood, the brand will announce one of these products along with the Magic V2 for the global market through its IFA 2023 keynote on Sept. 1.

WhatsApp is working on AI-generated stickers

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is constantly updating new features. Recently the app has gone through some UI and UX changes based on Material Design 3 guidelines. Alongside this, the app is also getting so many new and important features that users have always asked for.

WhatsApp has released a new update, version 2.23.17.14, for some beta testers on the Google Play Store. What’s special about this one? Users can now create and send AI-generated stickers!

WhatsApp-Stickers

How Does the WhatsApp AI Sticker Feature Work?

Here’s how it works: In the sticker tab of the chat, there might be a new “Create” button. If you click on it, you can type a brief description. WhatsApp will then show you stickers made by AI based on what you wrote. Pick your favorite one and send it in your chat. It’s that simple!

All these stickers are made using safe technology from Meta. Users have full control. If you see a sticker that doesn’t look right or seems harmful, you can tell Meta about it. Plus, it’s easy to tell if a sticker was made by AI. So, when someone gets an AI sticker, they’ll know it’s not just a regular one.

WhatsApp AI generated stickers

Why is this feature cool? Users can make stickers that fit perfectly with their chats. Let’s say you’re talking about a fun day at the beach. Just type “beach day” and see the stickers the AI makes for you! You don’t need to be a designer or use any other apps. Just type and pick!

Right now, only a few beta testers can use this feature. But more people will get it in the next few weeks.

Also, WhatsApp is developing features like scheduled group calls, multi-account access, and a new group calling feature.

Tesla Faces Data Privacy Concerns in China as it Prepares to Launch Full Self-Driving

The competition in the Chinese electric vehicle market is heating up. Especially between Tesla and BYD, it’s unclear who will come out on top. For example, BYD is standing out with its variety of products and prices, while Tesla impresses users with its technology. Furthermore, the company founded by Elon Musk hasn’t shown all its cards yet. According to latest reports, Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) might be getting ready to launch in China. Here are the details…

Tesla Gathers Data for Self-Driving FSD in China

Tesla‘s Full Self-Driving technology is coming to China. The Tesla China Analyst tweeted that the FSD test version has been released in China and is operating in “shadow mode” to gather data. Once Tesla is satisfied with the data, it will activate FSD on a small scale for trials. This means that FSD Beta could soon be available in China.

Tesla China has not responded to these rumors, but there have been many speculations about FSD coming to China since the beginning of the year. Tesla has denied these rumors in the past, but it seems like they are finally ready to bring FSD to China. China is the world’s largest market for electric vehicles, so it would be a big mistake for Tesla to miss out on this market.

NIO, XPeng, and Huawei are already rolling out their own driver-assist features in China, so Tesla needs to make sure that FSD is ready to compete. The Tesla China Analyst also said that Tesla is gathering data from external cameras, journey details, map locations, and vehicle status to improve FSD. This is similar to Tesla’s previous “shadow mode” approach, where the driving system is active but does not interfere with the driver’s actions.

There have been concerns about data privacy and safety with FSD. Apple, for example, ensures that all iCloud data from Chinese users remains in China. Tesla may need to do something similar by establishing a local driving database and developing a native R&D team for self-driving in China.

It remains to be seen how Tesla’s FSD will be received in China. While it is acclaimed overseas, it has yet to demonstrate the complete autonomous driving capability it claims to have. However, with Tesla’s strong brand and the large Chinese market, FSD could be a big success in China.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date is now a week closer

Ubisoft has just made an exciting announcement for its upcoming Assassin’s Creed title. The popular franchise’s latest entry has gone gold and will be released globally a week prior to its original launch date.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release on October 5

In a recent social media post, the gaming giant announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage has gone gold, which means that it has received approval from companies like Sony and Microsoft. In other words, it is confirmed to be published on their respective PlayStation and Xbox consoles. This term also signifies the end of the main development and the start of the production stage.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Release

However, this isn’t the primary news since the company further added that the release of the game has been preponed by a week. As per the official announcement, “On behalf of the entire team, we can’t wait for you to explore 9th Century Baghdad with Basim. Your journey now starts on October 5. Save the new date!” This officially confirms the game’s new launch date, with the tweet also sharing a short teaser.

This move should be beneficial for Assassin’s Creed Mirage since it creates more space between other notable launches in the market. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to launch on October 20, which means that it has enough time to ensure sales. However, it isn’t completely out of the waters yet, since it will be competing against Detective Pikachu, which is arriving a day later on October 6. Apart from this, Ubisoft will kick off Assassin’s Creed Jade’s closed beta this month, while AC “Red” is planned to launch in 2024.

Sony PlayStation 5 Slim full design revealed in leaked video

Sony is believed to be working on a new PlayStation 5 model that will be dubbed the PlayStation 5 Slim. The company has launched Slim variants in the previous PS4 generation as well, and this variant will likely house a thinner form than the regular version. Now, a new leaked video has given us a clearer view of this upcoming model, so let’s have a look.

Sony PlayStation 5 Slim features a more compact form factor

In a previous report, we covered another leak, which shared an image of the PS5 Slim model. But a fresh tweet on X (formerly Twitter) has shown off the entire gaming console in a video. The leak was shared by developed @BwE_Dev. It is currently unknown if this is actually the PS5 Slim, but it does appear to be authentic. Looking at the video, the PlayStation 5 Slim model from the Japanese tech giant appears to be similar in design to the base PS5.

PlayStation-5-Slim

However, there are a few design changes. The Slim variant retains the overall form with the four side panels and a slit in the middle of the panel, which is similar to the PlayStation 4. Although, there is a prominent hump on one side due to the disc drive slot. The PS5 Slim seems to feature a body with a thinner internal frame than the regular version and houses two new USB-C ports on the front, unlike the single USB-A and USB-C options on the base model.

Based on earlier reports, Sony plans to equip the refreshed PS5 model with a more power efficient 5nm APU from AMD. This chipset should pair well with the slimmer profile of the upcoming console. Unfortunately, finer details like its pricing and availability are still at large, but rumors have hinted at a September launch with a 399 US Dollar price tag.

Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo shared a render of the OPPO Find N3 Flip whereas publication PriceBaba posted a digital schematic of the device. Both have been taken down, however, thanks to the folks at Android Authority who took images of the leaked render and schematic. The web archive copy can also be accessed here.

As per the new development, the OPPO Find N3 Flip is seen with a circular camera module on the left side of the back panel. It houses three sensors and below the island, there is an LED flash unit.
