NVIDIA has supplied around 20,000 AI GPUs to OpenAI for the development of AI, which will be further expanded. Now, this collaboration is taking on an incredible dimension. According to the founder of Sogou, a Chinese search engine, OpenAI is already working on a more advanced AI model.

This model is said to have the capacity to connect 10 million AI GPUs together. This would be a massive undertaking, but it would also be a major breakthrough in the field of artificial intelligence. A system with 10 million GPUs would have an incredible amount of processing power. This could have a wide range of applications, from developing new medical treatments to creating more realistic virtual worlds. It could also help us to better understand the world around us and our place in it.

However, it is important to note that this project faces serious obstacles. Reports indicate that NVIDIA sold 30.34 million GPUs in 2022. The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G’s launch was just recently teased in India. But now, a new leak has revealed the pricing, key specifications, and the possible launch timeline of the upcoming device. So here are all the details.

iQOO Z7 Pro Specifications

The latest leak arrives from known tipster Paras Guglani. The Chinese smartphone maker’s new Z7 Pro 5G model will reportedly sport a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED display that features curved edges and a 120Hz refresh rate. This model will likely also feature a Full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio as well. Under the hood, the Z7 Pro could be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC that is paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

The device will likely run on Android 13 OS out of the box, with a Funtouch OS 13 custom skin. Guglani claims that the new iQOO handset will be powered by a 4,600mAh battery pack that supports 66W fast charging. Oppo K11 has been announced in China. It is the second K-series phone after the Oppo K11x, which was announced earlier this year in the Chinese market. The K11, which seems to be a China-exclusive device, bears resemblance to the OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G available in the global market. The two phones differ in major departments like rear design and charging capabilities. Here is a look at the specifications, features, and price of the Oppo K11.

Oppo K11 specifications and features

The Oppo K11 has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers a Ful HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, a 2160Hz PWM high-frequency dimming, up to 500 nits of brightness, 10-bit colours, a 394 ppi pixel density, and P3 wide colour gamut. As far as display design is concerned, it features a flat screen with a centrally aligned punch-hole. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

On the front, the Oppo K11 has a 16-megapixel camera, that offers up to 30fps Full HD video recording. The back panel of the phone has a Sony IMX890 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support. The Snapdragon 782G chipset is at the helm of the Oppo K11, along with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. According to the brand, the 12GB+512GB variant of the phone scored 719,702 points on AnTuTu benchmarks. The K11 comes equipped with 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB / 512 GB of internal storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot on the device for expanding its storage.

The Oppo K11 has a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery with 100W charging support. In comparison, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G offers 80W charging. According to OPPO, the K11 can achieve a full charge in just 26 minutes using the in-box 100W charger. Furthermore, the brand claims that the K11’s battery can remain in healthy condition at or above 80 percent even after undergoing 1600 charge-discharge cycles. Hence, the K11 can remain in excellent condition even after four years of continuous use.

The Oppo K11 features a graphite heat dissipation unit, which offers 23 percent better thermal conductivity than standard graphite. It also features a large liquid-cooled vapour chamber heatsink, measuring 4129mm², providing superior heat dissipation for a cooler gaming experience. The K11 ships with the Android 13 OS, which is overlaid with ColorOS 13.1. The K11 is packed with other features, such as dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, an X-axis linear motor, an IR blaster, a USB-C port, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Lastly, the K11 measures 8.23mm in thickness and weighs 184 grams.

Oppo K11 price in China

The Oppo K11 has arrived in China in three configurations: 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. These variants are priced at 1,899 Yuan (~$266), 1,999 Yuan (~$280), and 2,499 Yuan (~$350), respectively. It comes in shades like Moon Shadow Grey and Glacier Blue.

The phone is now up for pre-orders in China. During the pre-sale period, the starting two variants will be available with a 100 Yuan discount. It will be up for purchase starting Aug. 1. There is no word on whether the K11 will be released in markets outside of China.

In related news, Oppo is expected to hold a major launch event in August in China. It is expected to see the arrival of multiple devices, such as the Find N3 foldable phone, the Oppo Pad Air tablet, and the Oppo Watch 5 series.

Back in October 2022, Trek unveiled the premium Fuel Exe 9.5 eMTB with a carbon frame. The Trek’s Fuel EXe Alloy retains versatility and robustness, as well as an aggressive endure outlook.

The Fuel EXe Alloy is equipped with the TQ silent HPR50 motor that delivers a more natural pedal feel. It has 50Nm of torque which provides a sufficient boost on the mountain trail. It is fitted with a 360Wh battery pack, as well as an optional 160Wh range extender. With the additional battery pack, the Fuel EXe Alloy’s riding time is up to 7 hours on a single charge. The notification LED unit available on the back panel of the Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2) is dubbed the Glyph interface. In the same way, the Pova 5 series will come equipped with a unique LED pattern on the back, which is called the Arc interface.

As per Tecno, the Arc interface can support multiple colors that glow when there is an incoming call. It appears that the LED unit can glow for functionalities like charging status or some alerts, but there is no official confirmation on these features.

Tecno recently unveiled the Tecno Pova 5 on the global market, but the Pro model has not launched yet. The Pova 5 does not seem to feature an Arc interface. Hence, it appears that the said feature could be available only on the Pro model.

The Tecno Pova 5 features a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Helio G99 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and a 6,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. It has an 8-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel dual camera system on the back. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The device comes in three shades, such as Hurricane Blue, Amber Gold, and Mecha Black. At present, there is no information about the price of the device.

In a new leak, tipster Abhishek Yadav has revealed the configurations and price of the Redmi 12. In the same leak, the tipster also revealed the variants and price of the Redmi 12 5G for the Indian market. However, Redmi is yet to confirm whether the Redmi 12 5G will also be announced alongside the aforementioned products on Aug. 1.

According to the tipster, the Redmi 12 5G will arrive in two options, such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The leak claims that the 5G variant will have a starting price of Rs 13,999.

Rumors are rife that the Redmi 12 5G will be a rebranded version of China’s Redmi Note 12R. Both smartphones have a 6.79-inch IPS LCD 90Hz display that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. Both phones pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging.

Samsung and LG working on power-efficient OLED panels

Samsung Display and LG Display are exploring the potential of a new low-refractive index Capping Layer (CPL) technology for small to medium-sized OLED panels, according to The Elec. Currently, high-refractive index CPL is widely used in this sector to reduce power consumption and improve light direction. The addition of low-refractive index CPL alongside the existing high-refractive index variant could enhance light utilization, increase optical efficiency, and potentially extend the product lifespan.

However, incorporating an additional layer may pose challenges in terms of manufacturing and cost implications. To implement the new CPL, panel manufacturers need to convince smartphone producers like Samsung Electronics and Apple of its benefits.

Several companies, including Dongjin SEMICHEM, Hodogaya, LAPT, and PNH Tech, have been working on low-refractive index CPL technology and have started sample deliveries and preliminary stages with panel manufacturers. The final choice of suppliers will consider factors like quality, cost, and existing relationships.

According to Sammobile, Samsung and LG have previously showcased their innovation in OLED technology. Samsung introduced Eco2 OLED panels last year, boasting improved power efficiency, which was subsequently used in the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. However, some Samsung users, especially flagship users, have reported display issues such as pink, green, and white lines on their screens recently.

In parallel, Apple is collaborating with Samsung Display and LG Display to create a bezel-less OLED display for iPhones. This involves shifting electronic components from the bezel under the screen, requiring advancements in Thin Film Encapsulation (TFE) and Under Panel Camera technologies. While challenges such as potential antenna interference and durability concerns exist, Apple is actively addressing these technical issues with the help of its partners.

The timeline for completing and implementing these new OLED technologies is uncertain. However, it is anticipated that future devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops may feature brighter, more power-efficient OLED screens with extended lifespans.
