MG Motors has just announced its latest electric vehicle model for the Indian market. The new automobile is the MG Comet compact EV that will seek to compete with other affordable and compact EV cars, so here are all the details.
MG Motors’ Comet is a compact EV
For those unaware, the Indian automobile market has some compact models like the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3. The new Comet features a tall boy design and features a three door format. This makes it quite compact, which helps keeps its cost and power requirements low. The company had been teasing this model’s launch in India for sometime now, and has finally unveiled this in the region. Although, its pricing is still unclear, but it will be revealed sometime later this year.
Thanks to its small size, the new electric vehicle is clearly built for urban transport in cities. While its overall footprint is quite small, the tall boy design ensures that there is enough space on the inside. This model is also being offered in multiple colorful options and users are even offered customization options, which includes personalization options like skins and other body wraps. Other notable design elements include, aerodynamic wheel caps, LED lighting, dual tone roof, and even a parking camera.
The MG Comet EV likely houses a 41bhp engine that offers 110Nm of peak torque. This engine will be powered by a 17.3kWh battery pack that promises to deliver a maximum operational range of 230 kilometers. This battery can be charged from 0 to 100 percent in around 7 hours via a 3.3kW charger.
Realme, the Chinese smartphone maker, is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming Realme 11 series next month in China. The series is expected to include multiple smartphones, including the Realme 11 5G, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Plus. Additionally, the Realme 11 4G might also launch alongside these devices. While the company is yet to confirm the exact launch date, a couple of Realme smartphones have been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.

The Realme 11 5G, which is one of the most anticipated mid-range smartphones from the brand, has seemingly cleared the BIS certification. Moreover, another smartphone, which could possibly be a part of the same series, has also cleared BIS. So, let’s dive into more details about the Realme 11 5G specifications, features, and other details that are currently known.
The Realme 11 5G has been spotted on the BIS website with the model number RMX3751. Another Realme smartphone with the model number RMX3750 has also cleared the BIS certification, but the name of the phone is still unknown.
Recently, the 11 5G was spotted on TENAA as well. The listing revealed the design of the phone, which appears to be similar to the 11 Pro and 11 Pro+ 5G. There is a massive camera module on the back, and the circular-shaped camera module has two visible cutouts and an LED flash module. Unfortunately, the listing did not reveal any details about the camera sensors.
On the front, the phone has a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the screen. Unlike the Pro models, which will sport a curved screen, the 11 5G has a flat display. Additionally, we can also see the power and volume keys on the right side of the phone.
As of now, not much is known about the 11 5G’s other specifications and features. However, the phone is expected to launch alongside the 11 Pro series next month in China.
“Netflix plans to stop password and account sharing” – you’ve probably heard statements like this multiple times in the past year. Indeed, the company has been developing a way to boost its revenue and profit from users who share their accounts. They’ve even tested this approach in select Asian and South American countries. Up until now, most global users haven’t been affected. Sadly, this calm period is ending. Netflix has announced that they will soon start cracking down on password sharing. Here are the details…
Netflix crackdown on password sharing to begin soon
Netflix is preparing to implement its long-discussed policy against account sharing for all users. According to a letter sent to shareholders the other day, the policy will be in effect by the end of July in the United States and shortly thereafter worldwide. The company has estimated that more than 100 million households share passwords. This means that if these individuals were to either open new accounts or pay additional fees for the shared accounts, it could generate billions of dollars in extra revenue for Netflix.
Many users are curious about how Netflix will detect account sharing. In fact, the streaming giant is still working on this issue. The purpose of tests in Asia and South America is to solve these problems. For example, it would be quite frustrating for the system to think you are sharing your account while traveling or on vacation and then request an additional fee. The company is developing alternative solutions to ensure such scenarios do not happen.
If the question on your mind is “What will happen to those who share Netflix accounts?” we can say that two options will emerge for them. The first option is to stop sharing accounts and for everyone to have their own individual account. The second option is to compensate for Netflix’s loss by paying an additional fee for the other account or accounts. It’s up to you to decide which option is more reasonable for you, but one way or another, you must accept that the era of account sharing is coming to an end.

WhatsApp might be working on an interesting new feature for its popular chat application for desktops. The company could soon offer animated emojis on its messaging platform, so here are all the details.
WhatsApp Animated Emojis might soon hit the beta
Meta is reportedly working on this feature that would like to add a new interactive/expressive element to chats. This feature might soon be available on an upcoming beta for the WhatsApp desktop app. The news arrives from WABetaInfo who also shared a GIF that showcases this feature. Looking at this animated emoji, we can see the Party Horn and Party Hat emoji bouncing around as it does a full 360 degree rotate.
It is unclear how exactly one accesses these animated emojis, but WhatsApp might share the animated version of a specific emoji instead of the static one if the user only sends a single emoji. Keep in mind that it also needs a animated version to offer this functionality. Since the feature is supposedly making its way to the WhatsApp desktop beta, we can expect it to also be soon available in the smartphone mobile beta app version as well.
With animated emoji’s, the userbase can expect to have a new have of interaction and expression in group chats. This, in turn, will make the chatting experience more fun and have the platform better company with iMessage and even Google’s Messages app that have supported animated emojis for years now.

ChatGPT and other Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) pose a long-term threat to society as they have the potential to leak confidential and sensitive personal as well as corporate data.
According to the recent report by Team8 an Israeli firm that specializes in cybersecurity, data, and fintech; when enterprises adopt Generative AI technology they may open up the possibility of leaking sensitive and private consumer and business information like intellectual property, confidential information, source code, and trade secrets.
The report further states that there is a high chance of data being shared with third parties more frequently and unpredictably, owing to GenAI’s widespread acceptance and its integration with third-party applications.
Apart from data leakage, Generative AI may also be used by threat actors for malicious purposes, such as phishing attacks, social engineering, fraud, and other malevolent activities. Moreover with Generative AI, writing malware will become easy and more prevalent.
The report has also emphasized the potential risk posed by third-party applications using a Generative AI app, which could enable unauthorized access to email and web browsers. In the event of such a compromise, an attacker could carry out actions on behalf of the user.
These risks underscore the significance of taking necessary precautions while integrating Generative AI, such as prioritizing security and privacy considerations and conducting a thorough assessment of the possible implications before deployment.
Solutions to mitigate the risks posed by Generative AI
The report also provides some solutions for enterprises that are working with Generative AI. To manage the risks associated with GenAI, identifying the pertinent risks and comprehending their potential impacts on the organization is a must.
Additionally, choosing the right Generative AI providers who provide customized security and policy options to their customers, such as data retention and opt-out choices, can also prove beneficial. Furthermore, assessing potential on-premise alternatives may prove useful.
What is Generative AI?
Generative AI, also known as generative artificial intelligence, is an AI technology that can produce text, images, or other media in response to given prompts. These systems use generative models, including large language models, to generate data that is new and unique.
Unlike conventional AI which primarily concentrates on tasks such as identifying patterns, refining analytics, categorizing data, and detecting fraud, the primary function of Generative AI is to generate novel content, chat responses, designs, synthetic data, and even deep fakes.
According to the management consulting company Gartner, 10% of all created data will be produced by generative AI by the year 2025. Some of the best examples of Generative Ai include the famous ChatGPT made by OpenAI, Midjourney, Copy.ai, Microsoft Bard, etc.
Many of us know Xiaomi from its smartphones, but the company actually has a wide range of products. They have a presence in a variety of industries, from smart kitchen gadgets to electric vehicle systems. One notable product is their TV Box and TV Stick models, which are designed to transform old televisions into smart TVs. Recently, Xiaomi unveiled the second-generation 4K TV Box S model. Xiaomi TV Box S 4K, which is similar to the Mi Box S released in 2018 in many ways, differs in two key points. The first difference is that it will come with Google TV instead of Android TV, which is different from previous models. This change will not make a significant difference for users, but it promises a better interface and a more comprehensive operating system. The second difference is the remote control. Many of us are accustomed to Xiaomi’s remote control that supports Bluetooth and IR control. In the new model, there are more shortcuts and a Xiaomi TV+ button. This is an important change as the number of streaming platforms is rapidly increasing nowadays.
TSMC is reportedly skeptical about certain conditions that the US has attached in its multi billion dollar incentive package. The company aims to receive the sizeable incentive but it wants to get it with some changes on these conditions.
For those unaware, the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is the world’s largest contract chipmaker and is seeking to establish an advancing semiconductor production line in the US. This move arrives as the US aims to offer subsidies to chipmakers for setting up their chip production facilities in the region. But while there is a whopping 15 billion US Dollars subsidies, the semiconductor giant is worried about the conditions that come with this incentive.
The company has already tripled its planned investment into its new Arizona plant, which is now hit the 40 billion US Dollar mark. But, it is concerned regarding certain conditions, which are related to the profit share from its operations within the US. The incentive being offered to TSMC requires the company to share profits from the factories. Sources close to the matter added that the rules also require it to provide detailed information regarding its operations as well.
Unfortunately, the chipmaker has yet to respond to any comments regarding this matter. Based on what we know so far, the company’s Arizona plant will be responsible in producing advanced 3nm process based chips. TSMC also claimed that this site would be capable of making 20,000 wafers every month. So sticka round for more updates regarding this matter.

Apple has typically placed an emphasis on the security on its various products. However, it appears that thieves have managed to turn an integral security feature on the iPhone, against the victims who had their phone stolen. Here’s how its being carried out.
Thieves can turn Apple’s iPhone security feature against you
These thieves are breaking into stolen iPhones and after stealing the victim’s money, they block out the actual owners from their stolen iPhones. An example of this was highlighted in an Wall Street Journal report earlier this week. The report talked about iPhone owner Greg Frasca, who has been locked out of his iPhone since October from last year. Greg told Wall Street Journal that he is ready to fly all the way down to Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino to prove his identity and that the iPhone is actually his.
Frasca further added that he is even willing to pay a massive sum of 10,000 US Dollars to get back control of his iPhone since it contained 8 years of photos of his daughter. And unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated event and there are others that have been hit with this security exploit. In the case of Frasca, the thieves had stolen his iPhone 14 Pro and used his passcode to change his Apple ID password. Following this, the thieves even enabled the recovery key to prevent him from accessing his iPhone remotely.
For those unaware, the iPhone maker introduced the recovery key feature back in 2020 and it is a randomly generated 28 digit key. One needs to provide this recovery key to gain control of their Apple ID password. However, if a hacker of thief has your password, they can use this security feature against you. This practically leaves you with no method of recovering that account. According to an Apple spokesperson, “We sympathize with people who have had this experience and we take all attacks on our users very seriously, no matter how rare. We work tirelessly every day to protect our users’ accounts and data, and are always investigating additional protections against emerging threats like this one.”
The Poco F5 is expected to go official very soon. We have been hearing a lot about this smartphone for the past few days, courtesy of leaks and certifications.
The brand’s Indian head has also started teasing the product officially without revealing the name. Earlier this week, he seems to have confirmed the memory configurations for this upcoming device.
Redmi Note 12 Turbo
A few days back, Himanshu Tandon, the country head of Poco India, disclosed that their next product will be launched in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants. In other words, it will come with 256GB storage as standard in India at least.
Today, the executive hints at their forthcoming device to be Poco F5 by describing the phone in five words that start with the letter ‘F’. As per him, this smartphone is fast, finetuned, fearless, fantastic, and futuristic.
The memory variants confirmed by the Poco executive go in line with a leak from last week. The old leak also revealed the handset to arrive in three colors, such as black, white, and blue.
The forthcoming Poco F5 is a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo. Hence, we know everything about it
The phone will arrive with a 6.67-inch 12-bit FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset, an OIS-assisted 64MP main camera, dual stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, MIUI 14 based on Android 13, a 5,000mAh battery, and 67W fast wired charging support.
The Poco F5 will be accompanied by Poco F5 Pro (rebranded Redmi K60) in some markets. The pro model will most likely not release in India.
Microsoft is reportedly working on new Surface devices that are expected to be released later this year. The most anticipated device is the new Surface Go 4 codenamed Tanta, which is set to feature an ARM processor for the first time.
According to sources, the entry-level model will be equipped with a Snapdragon 7c-based SoC, providing similar performance to its predecessor but with better power efficiency for longer battery life. The new SoC may also allow Microsoft to include 5G capabilities in the Surface Go for the first time, though this has not been confirmed.
Microsoft Surface Go 3
The Surface Go 4 is expected to have minor design changes, but will still maintain a similar-sized footprint to its previous models. An Intel variant is also expected to be available for those who prefer it.
In addition to the Surface Go 4, Microsoft is said to be working on a new Surface Pro in two sizes, following in the footsteps of Apple’s iPad Pro. Alongside the typical 13-inch Surface Pro, Microsoft is building a new 11-inch Surface Pro, codenamed Luxor. This device will have a similar shape and size to the Surface Go but with slimmer bezels like its larger sibling. The 11-inch Surface Pro will be more powerful, featuring a 120Hz display, and will have a higher price point than the Surface Go.
Windows 11 recently received an update with a new tablet mode that works better on devices with smaller screens. More tablet optimizations are expected to be added to Windows in the future.
The release dates for the new Surface Go and Surface Pro are still uncertain, but they are unlikely to be shipped before this fall, according to sources. Microsoft had initially planned to release the new Surface Go this spring, but that plan has been changed. Additionally, the release of the next Surface Pro by Microsoft is dependent on the availability of Qualcomm’s new Nuvia chips.
Apple is apparently planning on bringing on another supplier for its upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max. The company is adding another supplier to help source the new periscope camera lens on its next gen flagship. So here are all the details.
New Apple supplier will make iPhone 15 Pro Max’s 6x zoom lens
For those unaware, the Cupertino based giant’s iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to launch with a periscope camera sensor, which is basically a telephoto lens that reflects light via an angled mirror towards the camera’s image sensor for improved magnification. Thanks to the change in direction of light, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is capable of offering higher magnification without any blurriness or fall in picture quality.
Based on our previous report, we can expect see up to 5x or 6x optical zoom on the company’s next gen premium iPhone. For those unaware, this is about two times higher than the 3x optical magnification offered on the current gen iPhone 14 Pro Max. Initial reports have hinted that Largan Precision would be the sole supplier of the periscope system, but a new report suggests that the Genius Electronic Optical (GSEO) will be the new supplier of the module.
GSEO had previously shipped periscope lenses to a Japanese smartphone maker. Now, known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 16 Pro models in 2024 will use a periscope lens similar to the one that is exclusively used on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.

Traditional mechanical lock vs Smart electronic lock?
This is a time when we are abandoning physical mechanical locks and keys, and embracing biometric keys and electronic locks. But the revolution will obviously take most people to get used to, especially for those who are used to traditional lock-picking ways. First let’s agree on one thing: the mechanical keys are needed, but definitely the last thing that we want. An excellent option that we recommend here is the Elemake Keypad Deadbolt Smart Door lock, which could be the one that will cost you the least learning and adaptation costs for your journey into the age of electronic locks.

What’s Inside & Design
The size of the whole package is surprisingly small with a wide range of accessories inside to help users with any installation problems. All you need is to make sure every single part presented in the User manual is included. You can easily check them all from the Parts Illustrations and the Assembly Drawing on Page 3. The component pack includes an Outside Escutcheon with a Gasket, a mounting bracket, a bolt, a strike plate, 2 keys with suction cups for removing Key Hole Lid on the outside escutcheon, a Door position sensor, a WiFi-gate module, two more RF cards and a bunch of screws. The door lock offers two color variants – black and silver. Both of them are well-built and mainly made of solid zinc alloy.
The Trivex anti-aging touch panel of the outside Escutcheon is a wise design that prevents fading from exposure to sunlight and supports IP65 waterproofing. Since Trivex regularly tested their products for over 10 years, there is credit that the panel can serve outdoors for years without aging issues.
Easy Installation
But before buying the Smart Lock, let me make it clear: it fits most standard residential doors with 2-3/4’’ or 2-3/8’’ backset and thickness from 1-1/2″ to 1-7/8″, regardless of left or right opening. So basically, it fits all kinds of wooden and metal doors.
The assembly is pretty easy even for someone who never installed any door locks. And users even can click the link where they made a detailed installation video for guidance. The whole assembly was done under the guidance of the official video. The good news is that the video helped a lot and there’s no problem for a single adult to install the lock.
Just pay attention to the first step you make sure the backset of the bolt gets adjusted to fit the door (2-3/4’’ or 2-3/8’’).
To help you install the bolt in the correct direction, there is an ‘up’ mark on the bolt. Then turn the spindle of the outside escutcheon in the vertical position and put it through the backset and fit the door hole (2-1/8” diameter), where you also need to route the cord through the hole and go under the bolt. And connect it to one slot of the inside escutcheon, while the other is left for connection with the included door position sensor.
Then just attach the inside escutcheon in the right position and fix the escutcheons on both sides of the door.
4-in-1 Unlocking Experience
The 4-in-1 entry smart door lock supports passwords, RF cards, keyed, and Bluetooth remote access, which widely covers most scenarios and the customary access for different people. For those who are used to traditional keyed access or card access, there’re 2 metal keys and 2 RF cards included. For someone who likes keyless access, password entrance is a great option. Last but not least, internet remote access is the most flexible and smartest way that meets different scenarios, where all you need is a smartphone that connects with Bluetooth or just the internet.
To have remote internet operation, you can connect the smart lock with a separate WiFi-gate module, which actually is a smarter design to prolong the battery life of the smart lock than most other WiFi-built-in models. It can be placed at any location where it’s available for wireless connection with both a WiFi signal and the door lock. It’s easy to set up the phone operation thanks to the Smart Life App.
Wireless gate module
Download and install the App from App Store (iOS devices) or Play Store (Android devices), and follow the setup steps to add the wireless gateway and the door lock. You can add passwords, add and capture RF cards, directly tap to remote unlock, view unlocking records and monitor entrance, check the door state and battery life, and so on.
With the door position sensor, users can check if the door is closed and locked in the App along with an automatic locking feature that makes sure you keep the house or room safe. Before living with smart door locks, I often struggled with returning to reconfirm the door after leaving and being unsure if it was securely closed. Most of the time this was futile. But at that time, it had to be done for safety. Now the Elemake perfectly solved the problem that has been bothering me for a long time, and thankfully, saved much time for me.
Connect With Third-Party Voice Assistant

The smart door lock also supports third-party voice commands to unlock, such as Alexa and Google Assistant. For example, you can link the Smart Life with Alexa first, and move to the Alexa app to add the door lock and activate the ‘unlock by voice’ feature. Of course, for security, Alexa would also ask you to set up a voice code. Even though it’s really convenient, users should still use the voice unlock with caution. After all, the voice can be easily overheard.
Low Power & AA battery
All the electric components apply Low Power Consumption Design. As of the time this review was written, we’ve tested it for over a month and it has worked well without battery replacement. After we saw the official claim that the batteries can support the lock to run for over a year, no matter with the separate WiFi hub or not, I realized that our test looked ridiculous. The battery box loading 4 replaceable AA batteries is a smart design. It’s widely seen that chargeable batteries are applied on most electric products, but for a door lock, no one likes to wait for the charging time. Fortunately, replacing the batteries for the Elemake Door Lock takes no more than a minute.
Verdict
As a reviewer, I really like their user-friendly attitude and the detail they show on the smart lock. The lock is nice with decent built quality. And most importantly, it is super easy to install following the clear and straightforward installation video. The fact is that no paper user manual is as informative as a good assembly and setup video. Once it got ready to serve, managing the door would be much easier. The tiny complaint is that it would be perfect if it came with a handle regardless of left or right opening, aesthetically pleasing without having to buy an extra one. If you are interested in the Elemake smart door lock, the official website here will offer you more information like free shipping and warranty services.
