Oppo Service Center 3.0: Next step in improving After Sale Customer Experience

Oppo has just officially unveiled its new Service Center 3.0. With this, the company plans on greatly improving the service experience for its loyal customers. We got to experience this first-hand, thanks to Oppo offering us a visit to one of these modern service centers in India. So let’s have a look at what’s new with Service Center 3.0.

After-sales is an integral part of a brand’s operations given how simply selling a smartphone to customers is not the end goal for a company. Ensuring robust post-sale services to its customers helps maintain brand image and goodwill while also building trust regarding the smartphone maker’s commitment to both quality and customer relations. While every OEM offers after-sale customer service, Oppo seeks to take this a step further with its new Oppo Service Center 3.0 experience.

Oppo

Oppo’s Customer service Head, Saurabh Chaturvedi stated that “Having a customer-first model, we believe in listening to customer feedback on various channels and deploying initiatives that are best suited for their needs. The recurring insight coming from our conversation with them was a need for a transparent, convenient, and premium service experience. Attuned to this feedback, we set a new industry benchmark in after-sales servicing with the launch of service center 3.0. Further, to offer a faster, easier, and more convenient customer experience, we have introduced device pickup and drop services which will ensure accessibility of quality technology across the country.”

The brand will offer full transparency during servicing. This means that the company’s service team will work on your device right in front of you for quality assurance. Oppo does place an emphasis on booking an appointment as it helps the service center procure any necessary parts and equipment before hand, which will help reduce the time taken for servicing. Once work has begun, the company claims that you will have a working smartphone in your hand within the hour.

At the moment, Oppo’s latest Service Center 3.0 is located in Chandigarh, India, which is also the site we visited for the media briefing. The Service Center 3.0 featured a new modern look, which blended Experience store aesthetics with a service center’s functionality. There were comfortable couches to sit and wait, while the center also offered magazines, a smart TV, and even a small private area as well for customers that may need to attend important business calls. There were even small toys to keep kids occupied.

Oppo

The Oppo Customer Service Head confirmed that all of the current service centers are planned to be upgraded to the Service Center 3.0 standards in the near future. Right now, four of such state-of-the-art centers are already open, with one situated in Lucknow, Chandigarh, Calicut, and Kochi. Oppo will also offer users updates through emails and even SMS regarding the repair status of the customer’s device to ensure transparency remotely as well.

Here’s some quick info regarding Oppo Service Center 3.0:

  • Repairs will be operational across 13,000 pin codes in India.
  • Repaired devices have an expected return time of 3 to 5 working days.
  • Senior citizens are offered the option of a home pick up and delivery for Oppo products.
  • OPPO plans to expand its service center 3.0 upgrade to all the service centers by 2024 across Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities in India.

Motorola is preparing to announce a couple of new Edge series of smartphones soon. But it appears that there are multiple other launches outside of the lineup as well, with one of them including a new Moto E22i model that was just spotted on a certification website.

Motorola Moto E22s

Previously, we had also reported on this new E series model being spotted on the FCC and TDRA certifications websites. And now, the Moto E22i has also surfaced on another such database, which is the NBTC website. In all three listings, we can see that the upcoming smartphone has a model number of XT2239-19. Furthermore, these listings also hints that the handset in question will have a global launch.

Based on its name, we can safely assume that the Moto E22i is an affordable smartphone that will target the low cost budget category in the market. But unfortunately, the latest sighting on the Thai based certification platform did not reveal any other finer details regarding the new device. So we still have no information related to its specifications and design as of right now.

Although, the certifications does make it clear that the model will not feature 5G connectivity. Notably, the two IMEI numbers on FCC also indicate that it will arrive with support for dual SIM. This is all the information we have at the moment, so stick around for more as we will be providing updates when additional details is available regarding this smartphone.

Design

The Motorola Moto S30 Pro has a very attractive design due to its curved screen at the sides and its very high screen to body ratio. But that is not all, because this device is even equipped with a premium glass back protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and it is splash and dust resistant. On the other hand, the Realme GT Neo 3 is another very suggestive phone thanks to its rear design inspired by a sports car. It has a glass back as well and it comes with a very high screen to body ratio. So these are both beautiful phones, even though I personally prefer the curved screen of the Motorola Moto S30 Pro. However, not everyone likes curved displays at the edges. Another important advantage of the Motorola is the fact that it is more compact, thinner, and even lighter.

Display

These two phones come with amazing displays. The Motorola S30 Pro has a 6.55-inch P-OLED panel able to show up to one billion colors with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification. The Realme GT Neo 3 has an AMOLED display with a 6.7-inch diagonal, a Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification: it is able to show up to one billion colors as well. As you can easily notice, the Realme has a bigger display but a lower refresh rate. Both phones come with an in-display fingerprint reader for authentication, but the Realme GT Neo 3 is the only one with stereo speakers offering an improved audio experience.

Specs & Software

If you are looking for a phone offering the highest performance, then you should opt for the Motorola Moto S30 Pro. It is powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus mobile platform by Qualcomm built with a 5 nm production process. This chipset has an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X1 CPU running at a max frequency of 2.99 GHz, three Cortex A78 CPUs running at 2.42 GHz, four Cortex A78 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 660 GPU. The SoC is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 native storage. The Snapdragon 888+ is actually better than the Mediatek Dimensity 8100 found on the Realme GT Neo 3 and paired with up to 12 GB of RAM. Further, the internal storage of the GT Neo3 stops at just 256 GB. Both handsets run Android 12 out of the box, but they are customized by different user interfaces: MYUI 4.0 and Realme UI 3.0, respectively, with the latter being a lot more advanced.

Camera

These two phones are equipped with triple rear cameras including a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, but there is an important difference when it comes to the ultrawide secondary camera, which sports a higher 13 MP resolution on the Motorola S30 Pro. This is the only advantage of this device in terms of camera hardware letting it win the camera comparison. For the rest, these two devices are pretty much the same on the rear side, with a 2 MP macro lens and a 50 MP main sensor. The Motorola Moto S30 Pro wins the selfie comparison thanks to a 32 MP front snapper.

Battery

Last but not least, the battery. The Realme GT Neo 3 is available in two variants: one with a 5000 mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging, and another one with a 4500 mAh supporting 150W fast charging. In both cases, you get a bigger battery and faster charging technology. But the 150W variant of the Realme GT Neo3 has more or less the same battery life as the Motorola.

Price

The Motorola Moto S30 Pro carries a starting price tag of €330/$330 in China, and the Realme GT Neo 3 has more or less the same price in its base variant, while it starts from €599/$599 in the global market. Which one would you pick?
