After its launch in April, Razer has now introduced the Leviathan V2 X monitor sound bar in China. The Razer Leviathan V2 X is a small soundbar with a length of about 40cm. It can snugly fit under a monitor or other displays. The Leviathan V2 X has two full-range units and dual passive radiators to deliver a decent sound output. It can be connected via its USB-C port in addition to Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The USB-C port also serves as the charging port for the soundbar.
The Leviathan V2 X offers a variety of dynamic lighting modes and can also be used for gaming. It is also lightweight, weighing just 0.85kg, unlike the V2 at up to 3kg. Notably, the Leviathan V2 X has lower specifications than the Leviathan V2 computer soundbar that comes with a sub-woofer and is more expensive at 1,999 yuan (~$295).
The V2 X soundbar lacks an HDMI connection which is seen as a drawback. It also does not have a 3.5mm jack or an optical audio port. This makes routing multiple audio sources to be impossible, apart from the USB-C and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
The product comes at an introductory price of 899 yuan ($133) but the original price is 1,099 yuan ($162). Razer expects competitive pricing, coupled with its basic features, to spur substantial demand for the Leviathan V2 X soundbar.
A few days ago, Xiaomi launched its new smart band on the global market. The Xiaomi Band 7 debuted alongside the Band 7 Pro for the first time in the history of the Xiaomi Mi Band series. While the Pro variant is more similar to a smart watch, the vanilla version is a traditional smart band for those who want a great device to track their physical activity offered at a great price. Last month, another wearable debuted with a similar design to the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro: the Amazfit Band 7 by Huami, that is a Xiaomi subsidiary company. Now, a lot of people are wondering, given the affordable price of the Amazfit, whether they should buy the new Xiaomi smart band or Huami’s one. This is a comparison between the specifications of the Xiaomi Band 7 and the Amazfit Band 7 which will hopefully clear your ideas in regards and tell you which of these two wearables has the best value for money.
The Xiaomi Band 7 has the most attractive design. Thanks to the presence of a smaller display with an oval shape, it is more similar to a band and is more compact. It is definitely one of the most beautiful smart bands on the market. The central part fits perfectly in the band without going outside its perimeter, that is one of the reasons why it is very ergonomic. Instead, the Amazfit Band 7 has a more squarish and less attractive design due to its rectangular display. Both the wearables come with a silicone strap offered in several color options and they are waterproof up to 5 ATM (or 50 meters).
They have no physical key because they can be controlled through the touch screen, and the sensors are placed on the rear side, so they are not visible while the user is wearing them. Talking about the display, the Amazfit Band 7 is more comfortable to use due to its wider rectangular panel. The Xiaomi Band 7 has a very high pixel density, but its display is smaller and it is better for those who do not need it for everything they do and prefer to see all the data in the official app. Both the wearables are equipped with AMOLED displays showing brilliant colors and deeper blacks, but an AMOLED display makes more sense on a device like the one by Amazfit because it is able to show watch faces with more info.
Software and features
The Amazfit Band 7 and the Xiaomi Band 7 share a lot of things in common, even though they come with different software. Thanks to a PPG sensor, they are able to monitor the heart rate for the whole day and even the SpO2 level 24/7. They also support sleep tracking in a very advanced way and menstrual cycle tracking. But the Amazfit Band 7 offers something more: all-day stress monitoring. This makes the difference for those who care about tracking their health in detail.
The Xiaomi wearable offers 120 sports modes in the Chinese version and 110 sports modes in the global variant, and it is able to automatically detect five sports modes. The Amazfit Band 7 tracks up to 120 kinds of physical activities and it is able to automatically detect four activities. Unfortunately, there is no NFC support, so you can not use these devices for contactless payments through your credit cards. Further, they do not come with a GPS module, but they can use the GPS from the connected phone to track physical activity. The Amazfit Band 7 and the Xiaomi Band 7 support Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and can be paired with both Android phones and iPhones.
Battery
By looking at these two devices, you can easily understand which one offers the longest battery life, if you know something about batteries. The Xiaomi Band 7 is a smaller wearable, so it is kinda obvious that its battery life must be lower. It is able to last up to 14 days on a single charge, while you can get up to 18 days of battery life with the Amazfit Band 7. After all, the Huami wearable has a way bigger battery: its capacity is 232 mAh, while the Xiaomi has just 180 mAh inside.
Price
The prices of these two smart bands vary depending on the market, but they are not so different. The Xiaomi Band 7 sells for €50/$50 in the European market, while the Amazfit Band 7 is available in the U.S. for $50/€50. So which one is the best? I personally prefer the Amazfit because it has a wider display and a longer battery life, and it offers something more in terms of health and fitness trackings, such as all-day stress monitoring and more sports modes. But the Xiaomi Band 7 has its advantages to offer: it is more compact, more ergonomic, and more beautiful, and it has a very high pixel density improving the level of the definition provided by its pill-shaped display. Which one would you pick?

Zoom has just rolled out a new update for its application on Apple Mac platform. The new update patches a major security vulnerability that would allow hackers to gain deep access to one’s Mac system.
According to a ArsTechnicareport, the popular cloud based video conferencing service had to patch a major security flaw that enabled people with malicious to gain root level access to one’s Mac PCs. This would let the hackers take control of their systems. Apparently, this vulnerability stemmed from the Zoom application’s auto updater software, which had root level access to the system. This software only had a signature verification system that could be easily fooled by giving your package a familiar file name.
In other words, a hacker could potentially force your app to downgrade or otherwise enable exploits as well. The security flaw was first discovered by Patrick Wardle, the Objective-See Foundation (OSF) creator and researcher. Wardle had informed Zoom regarding this vulnerability back in December 2021. Now, the company has officially fixed this issue, although, the patch also brought another bug as well.
However, this was also soon fixed by Zoom, but Wardle found yet another bug in the application which was just recently patched as well. Notably, this isn’t the first time Zoom faced security related issues with its platform for the Mac systems. The company also had to quickly fix a webcam hijack exploit back in 2019, which lead to rise in criticism of the software, especially in 2020 when the app exploded in popularity.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was promptly removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in India. The game was apparently getting the ban hammer under the same law that removed PUBG Mobile from the region. However, it appears that this decision might be reversed soon.
The news arrives from Maxtern, who shared the information on Twitter. Looking at his tweet, he claims that the popular battle royale title has a high possibility of coming back to the Indian market soon. So far, there have already been influencers that have shared their optimism regarding the mobile game’s return. But this social media post claims that it is almost guaranteed to return.
For those unaware, Krafton’s Indian version of PUBG Mobile was recently removed from the app stores in the country, which raised major concerns regarding the entire esports scene surrounding the game. Apart from this, content creators, professional players, and many other were also affected by its delisting. However, the Indian government has yet to offer any official statement regarding this matter.
Maxtern is a content creator for Team Godlike and his tweet reads that “According to the sources, BGMI has a high chance of coming back soon!” As of right now, it is still unclear if the game will actually be returning to app stores in the country. So stick around for more updates regarding this matter.
Vivo‘s rapidly growing sub-brand iQOO has launched multiple devices in its Z6 series this year. Now, a new report from 91mobiles (citing industry sources) has revealed the existence of another smartphone in the series called the iQOO Z6 Lite.
Vivo T1x
According to the report, the Z6 Lite will be very similar to the Vivo T1x which was launched last month in India. This implies that the device will likely offer 4G connectivity only. Additionally, the device is tipped to launch in the second week of September.
As for the pricing, the report mentions that the iQOO Z6 Lite could cost Rs 500 to Rs 700 lesser than the Vivo T1x. For those unaware, the Vivo T1x launched with a starting price tag of Rs 11,999 and went as high as Rs 14,999. As for the specification, since the device is most likely a Vivo T1x rebrand, we can look at the specs of the T1x to get an idea of what to expect.
Vivo T1x specifications and features
The device has a teardrop notch and a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display. It has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen-to-body ratio of the display is 90.6 percent.
Under the hood, the device has a Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB of internal storage. It features Android 12-based FunTouchOS 12 and offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock for security. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

The Apple iPhone 14 series launch is edging closer. The 2022 iPhone lineup includes the base iPhone 14, the new iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the top end iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, prior to the official announcement, the hands on impression of the iPhone 14 Pro series has been leaked.
iPhone 14 Series prototypes
The latest leak arrives from LeaksAppleProwho has been known to offer tips regarding certain upcoming products from the Cupertino based giant. As per the tipster, a source close to the matter got some hands on time with a working unit of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. After which, the person shared his personal thoughts about the experience he had with the two high end models. According to the source, the new pill shaped cutout setup on the front serves practically the same function as the large notch that it was replacing.
The person added that it might be take a while to get used to this but will not notice the design after some time. Furthermore, the source added that display also brings no real quality improvements over the previous generation iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max either, despite rumors going on regarding the newer models featuring Samsung’s latest M12 generation OLED technology. In the tweet, the tipster’s source claimed that the iPhone 14 Pro Max feels like a brick in hand.
Lastly, the person also talked the camera system of the two upcoming phones. Apple has had its iPhone series stick with a 12 megapixel primary camera on the rear for some time now. However, the newer models will pack a large 48 megapixel resolution. But people feared that there is a trade off to this since the higher resolution also means smaller pixels. And the hands on impressions confirms these fears. The source claimed that the 48 megapixel sensor worked great, but only when there is enough light. Keep in mind that this is still an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt and stick around for more updates.

Poco is gearing up to launch multiple smartphones in the coming months. One of them will be Poco M5. This handset has been spotted on yet another certification website today. Let’s have a look at it.
Poco M4 Pro
The upcoming Poco M5 has now appeared on NBTC. This suggests that the phone will likely be available in Thailand. Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t reveal anything new about it.
As of now, we know that the global variant of Poco M5 bears model number 22071219CG. Interestingly, it will be limited to 4G connectivity.
The device will boot MIUI 13 based on Android 12. It will feature dual-band WiFi.
The smartphone has been also certified by FCC, BIS, and IMDA. Therefore, it may also release in India and Singapore. The Indian version has the model number 22071219CI.
Poco is yet to officially tease the arrival of this handset. Going by the first four digits of the model numbers that depict the month of release, the phone should have gone official in July. But it looks like the product has been delayed.
Further, the Poco M5 is expected to be accompanied by Poco M5s. The latter device is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 10S. It will ship with Android 12-based MIUI 13 and will probably sport cosmetic changes.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro rugged smartphone and the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro were both expected to debut in July. However, the company has only made the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro available, and the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro has not yet been launched.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3
Now, the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro has been spotted on Bluetooth SIG, Google Play List, and Google Play Console. These listings have revealed some key specs of the device. So, let’s take a look.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro 5G certifications
1 of 3
First off, we have the Google Play-supported device listing which reveals that the device has the SM-T636B model number. It also confirms the moniker as “Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro 5G.” The moniker confirms that the tablet will launch with SIM support and there might be a Wi-Fi-only variant as well.
The Bluetooth SIG listing reveals two models SM-T636B and SM-T636N with Bluetooth 5.2 support. These could be the 5G and Wi-Fi versions.
The rugged tablet’s model number on the Google Play Console is displayed as SM-T638B, which may be an error since the tab’s model number in the other two databases is T636B. The website does indicate that this is the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro 5G, regardless of the model number. This listing indicates that the Qualcomm SM7325 SoC, which is the Snapdragon 778G with four 2.4GHz and four 1.8GHz cores, would power the tablet. There will be 4GB of RAM onboard. The Adreno 642L GPU will be paired with this SoC.

Over the last couple of weeks, there have been a number of launches for Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered smartphones. Now, it appears that Black Shark is also planning on launching a new high performance smartphone in the market.
The news arrives from known tipster Digital Chat Station who shared the news on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). Looking at the social media post, the smartphone in question will be a high end model that had initially sported a 2K display, but now features a 1080p (likely FHD+) resolution. Furthermore, the Black Shark smartphone will reportedly be powered by a 4,790mAh battery pack and it uses a dual cell design with 100W fast charging support.
On the rear, the smartphone features a triple camera setup, with the primary sensor being a 64 megapixel IMX686 sensor, paired with a 13 megapixel lens and 2 megapixel shooter. Meanwhile, the front will house a 16 megapixel selfie camera. Apart from this, the tipster also stated that there is a good chance that this Black Shark phone will become the next flagship next year. Although, it is entirely likely that it is an upcoming refreshed model of an existing smartphone lineup as well.
Back in June 2022, the blogger had also revealed some other details regarding this smartphone. Back then, he mentioned the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, since the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 hadn’t been announced. During that time, we had assumed that the smartphone could be a part of the Black Shark 5S series, which will be the latest flagship entry from the Chinese brand.
