The Moto G32 is the latest ag-series Motorola phone to go official. Like the existing Moto G42 and Moto G52 smartphones, the G32 also features the Snapdragon 680 chipset. Some of its other highlights include a 90Hz display, 50-megapixel triple rear cameras, and a big battery. Here is all the information on the specifications, features, and price of the G32.

Moto G32 specifications and features

The Moto G32 had a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a centrally aligned punch-hole. It offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the Moto G32 had the Snapdragon 680 chip with up to 6GB of RAM. When it comes to storage, it offers a native space of up to 128 GB and a microSD card slot.

The G32 runs a nearly stock version of the Android 12.0 operating system. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W charging. It has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 118-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It comes with other features, such as single or dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a water-repellent design. It measures 161.8 x 73.8 x 8.5mm and weighs 184 grams.

Moto G32 price and availability

The Moto G32 has arrived in two variants, such as 4GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. In Europe, it starts at €210. The device is confirmed to be released in Latin America and India in the coming days. The G32 comes in three shades, namely Mineral Gray, Satin Silver, and Rose Gold.

OPPO Reno8 Pro just went global but with different specifications, if compared to the one sold in China: indeed, it is a rebrand of the Chinese Reno8 Pro Plus. Its specs sheet is so advanced that this device is able to compete with the vanilla version of the latest flagship series by OPPO: the vanilla OPPO Find X5. These two devices are both made for the global market and they pack high-end specifications, but their prices are not excessive like the most expensive phones on the shelves. A lot of people are wondering which one to buy and, while waiting for the launch of the Reno8 Pro in the global market, we decided to satisfy them with a comparison between the specifications of the OPPO Find X5 and the OPPO Reno8 Pro.

Design

The most original design between these two phones is the one of the OPPO Find X5. It looks like the find X5 Pro, but it is made with cheaper materials: it still has premium materials but, instead of ceramic, you get a glass back and an aluminum frame. On the front, the phone features a curved display with a very high screen to body ratio. Unfortunately, this handset does not offer any kind of certification for the protection against dust and water, but its display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The OPPO Reno8 Pro is built with a glass back and an aluminum frame as well, but the screen is not curved at the sides and the front glass is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. I personally prefer the Find X5 because it is more original and more compact, even though the Reno is thinner and lighter than its internal rival.

Display

The displays of these two phones differ in their sizes, but the specifications are the same. The OPPO Reno8 Pro has a wider display with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, while the Find X5 has a smaller one with just 6.55 inches. These panels are AMOLED panels able to show up to one billion colors with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400p, a 120 Hz refresh rate, the HDR10+ certification, and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. These phones are equipped with in-display fingerprint readers and stereo speakers, but they do not feature audio jacks. In terms of image quality, they are excellent, even though they do not sport the best displays out there. But a lot of people won’t notice any difference between these panels and the best ones on the market.

Specs & Software

The OPPO Find X5 and the OPPO Reno8 Pro are more or less at the same level when it comes to the hardware setup, even though the processors are different. The OPPO Find X5 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform by Qualcomm built at 5 nm and sporting an octa-core architecture. It is composed of one Cortex X1 CPU running at a max frequency of 2.84 GHz, three Cortex A78 CPUs with a frequency of 2.42 GHz, four Cortex A55 CPUs with a frequency of 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 660 GPU. The OPPO Reno8 Pro Global is fueled by the Dimensity 8100 Max chipset by Mediatek built at 5 nm and with an octa-core architecture composed of four Cortex A78 CPUs running at 2.8 GHz, four Cortex A55 CPUs running at 2 GHz, and a Mali G610 MC6 GPU. The chipsets are paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage depending on the chosen configuration. Their processors provide more or less the same performance, even though I personally prefer the Snapdragon 888. Both the phones run Android 12 out of the box, but the Find X5 is likely to get a higher amount of major updates.

Camera

The OPPO Find X5 wins the camera comparison thanks to its secondary sensors. Both the phones come with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main camera, as well as the MariSilicon X: the first proprietary NPU by OPPO able to improve night photography and videos with a power of 18 TOPS. But the OPPO Find X5 has better secondary sensors: a 13 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 50 MP Sony IMX766 ultrawide camera. The OPPO Reno8 Pro has an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro camera.

Battery

The OPPO Find X5 is equipped with a bigger battery than OPPO Reno8 Pro and it is able to last more on a single charge. Further, it features wireless charging, unlike its internal rival.

Price

The OPPO Find X5 is priced at €1000/$1000 globally, while the OPPO Reno8 Pro is yet to come into the European market and in India, it costs about €550/$550. The Find X5 wins the specs comparison, even though the Reno will probably offer higher value for money.

Kodak to manufacture EV batteries using film production equipment

The EV revolution could have led Kodak to announce its plans to convert its film manufacturing equipment to manufacture EV batteries. The company will be repurposing some of its high-tech machines originally meant for photography film into EV battery manufacturing equipment.

Kodak has made investments in Wildcat Discovery Technologies in driving its entry into EV battery manufacturing. Kodak says that the supercell Wildcat batteries require a similar coating and engineering inputs to its 35mm film. Therefore, only minimal retooling is required for it to enter into EV battery manufacturing. This could provide a huge boost to the EV battery industry which is grappling with costly production processes.

Kodak’s photography film manufacturing equipment is worth $70-80 million. The photography film production process is called ESTAR which uses polymers to create the films. The polymers require special chemical coatings, akin to the Wildcat battery production process. Kodak says the move into EV battery production could shore up its revenue substantially. The price of EV batteries massively dwarfs that of photography film. EV battery costs account for more than 50% of the cost of an electric vehicle in some instances.

Kodak is currently expanding its productive capability beyond photography. It is already in the production of components for pharmaceuticals, health care, and chemicals for lab operations. The addition of EV battery manufacturing could be an important milestone for Kodak.

The ramifications go beyond the EV industry as Kodak says that home storage batteries also rely on a similar coating process. This will be a massive departure from the past where Kodak-branded batteries were produced by other companies for use in its products. The expansion into battery production will see Kodak employing more staff in its expanding operations. Ordinarily, the photography film industry is a shrinking one experiencing layoffs and redundancies.

BGMI likely banned in India, pulled from Google Play Store & Apple App Store

Earlier today, the popular battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) got removed from the Google Playstore and Apple App store. The reason behind the removal isn’t clear as of yet. However, the reports related to the matter point toward a ban.

Why did BGMI get removed from Play Store and App Store in India?

The company behind BGMI, Krafton, has commented on the matter saying we are clarifying how BGMI was removed from Google Play and will let you know once we get specific information.”

On the other hand, Google has said that it has removed the game from the Play Store on ‘receipt of the order.’ The search giant has also stated that “following established process, we have notified the affected developer and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India.”

In a recent statement, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar noted that PUBG was banned in India in 2020, but banned apps have been resurfacing in new avatars. It is quite clear that this is a reference to BGMI, which is a re-skinned version of PUGB Mobile.

With multiple ministers pushing for a ban on BGMI in India, the recent incident of a 16-year-old shooting and killing his mother over an alleged argument about online games like PUBG could have been the last straw that broke the camel’s back and forced the government to silently ban BGMI in the country. This, however, is mere speculation at the moment, as we wait for more details to be revealed on the matter.

Oppo F21 Pro 5G/Reno7 Z 5G get Android 12 based ColorOS 12 update

Earlier this month, Oppo unveiled the list of devices that will be getting the stable ColorOS 12 update in the month of July. And right on schedule, the brand has released the stable Android 12 build for the Oppo F21 Pro 5G, also known as the Oppo Reno7 Z 5G.

To receive the update, your Oppo F21 Pro 5G needs to be on at least the A.13/A.14 firmware version whereas the Reno7 Z 5G needs to be on the A.15 firmware version. As usual, the update will come in badges via OTA method. If you haven’t received the OTA update notification yet, you can manually check for it by navigating to [Settings] – [Software Updates] and pressing on Detect the ColorOS 12 version and update.

Oppo has also pointed out some things to keep in mind before updating the devices-

1. Please backup important data on the phone before updating to avoid data loss caused by incompatibility or other unforeseen circumstances.

2. After updating to the latest version, the operating system will do several actions to optimize your device automatically. It might lead to your device heating, lagging, and fast battery draining. We recommend you turn off the screen and charge your device for a whole night after its updated success. Or keep using the device and it will become normal within a few days.

3. Some third-party applications are not compatible with Android 12. Therefore, updating these applications might not be available or have technical issues including lagging and crashing down on your device.

Users should be on the lookout for a tonne of new improvements and changes after installing the ColorOS 12 upgrade. A new wallpaper-based theming system, Screen Translate, Canvas AOD, Android 12’s Privacy Dashboard, and privacy indicators are just a few of the innovations included in the upgrade.

Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 has been launched as the brand’s first-ever ThinkPad model with an AMD Ryzen 6000 processor. The ThinkPad Z13 will rival the Intel-option ThinkPad X1 series from 2011 onwards. The new ThinkPad Z series is a collaboration between Lenovo and AMD to deliver AMD-only ThinkPads in the lineup. Intel however continues to co-develop laptops with Lenovo with the ThinkPad X1 Nano, as one of such models.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 is a compact laptop that reflects a different design from the X1 series. The company aims to attract new users to the ThinkPad laptops. It has a revised keyboard layout, different materials for the chassis, and a new haptic touchpad. The haptic touchpad is designed without dedicated buttons for the ThinkPad TrackPoint. The AMD Ryzen 6000 series CPU is present in the ThinkPad Z13. The base model will have the Ryzen 5 Pro 6650U and a recent benchmark review puts it slightly higher than the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10. The Z13 also outperformed the Apple MacBook Air M2 but was outshined by the Dell XPS 13 Plus.

The benchmark review results of the ThinkPad Z13 look promising. Several other tests on the laptop will surface subsequently as we draw close to the launch of the notebook. There are no official details yet about the potential launch date and full specs of the ThinkPad Z13.

Huawei S86 Pro smart screen with an 86-inch display launched in China

This week has seen Huawei release a raft of products with several innovative features. The Chinese tech powerhouse has added to its lineup of releases with the Huawei S86 Pro smart screen. The S86 Pro will run on Huawei’s HarmonyOS 3.0 and boasts some great features.

The S86 Pro is a gigantic 86-inch anti-glare smart screen with a 13,999-yuan (~$2,075) price tag. It is equipped with the Honghu image quality engine, Swift Clear and Smooth Technology, and others to yield a great viewing and listening experience. Two tweeters with patented speakers and four 10W units provide a strong audio output for the smart screen.

The Brilliant Brilliant Display Technology in the S86 Pro optimizes the DCI-P3 color gamut to improve the color display quality. It has a 120Hz display refresh rate, HDR Vivid, clear image processing, and dynamic contrast enhancement. The Huawei S86 Pro has a 1.6L sound cavity and a 75Hz low-frequency driver. The audio output can be enhanced with external 4 Sound X speakers connected wirelessly.

The S86 Pro is capable of delivering an immersive 5.1 distributed home theater experience. You can use either your smartphone or its touch remote to operate the Huawei smart screen S86 Pro. Global PC shipments lowest in Q2 2022 since Q2 2013

In a survey on worldwide PC shipments, Counterpoint, a global research firm, predicted a loss of 11.1 percent YoY to 71.2 million units in Q2 2022, the worst YoY drop since Q2 2013. Lenovo continued to dominate the worldwide PC market in Q2 2022 with a 24.4 percent share. Recall that for Q2 2022, IDC stated a YoY fall of 15.3 percent.

Global-PC-Shipments-decline-in-2022 — YoY PC shipment growth has been declining since the first quarter of 2021

The research company claims that lockdowns in Shanghai and Kunshan, which disrupted the supply chain for laptops and had an impact on significant laptop ODMs including Quanta, Compal, and Wistron, were mostly responsible for the decline. Important ODMs had YoY declines of 40% and 20% in April and May, respectively.

The manufacturing lines, according to Counterpoint, appear to have resumed regular operations and cleared order backlogs by mid-May. Additionally, a drop in demand and consumer spending has been attributed to regional wars and global inflation.

Q2, 2022 sales report:

Lenovo’s overall shipments decreased 12.7% year over year to 17.4 million units, mostly as a result of weak consumer demand, which was partly offset by modest commercial orders. HP was the worst hit among the leading brands in Q2 2022, with a YoY decline in shipments of 27%. Due to a product strategy that prioritizes business and premium customers, Dell’s YoY decline was only 5%.

Acer saw a 14.8 percent YoY shipment loss in Q2 2021 from a very high base, while Asus experienced a 7.7 percent YoY shipment decline as a result of its recent commercial market concentration. Apple’s Q2 shipments decreased by 20% year over year, mostly as a result of supply chain issues at Quanta’s Chinese manufacturing facilities.

As OEM stocks continue to build in the face of weak consumer demand, Counterpoint believes that these supply difficulties will be rectified in the second half of the year. Therefore, a little recovery could be expected, but the shipping reduction might persist.

After the launch of the Asus ROG Phone 6 series earlier this month, the brand has now launched the Asus Zenfone 9 in the global market. So, let’s check out what this phone has to offer.

Design & display

The Zenfone 9 appears to draw inspiration from the design language of Apple and Huawei smartphones. It has a metal frame and two giant circles on the rear panel housing the cameras. It has a flat back and edges, with the top of the smartphone housing a 3.5mm headphone jack, while the bottom has a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, a primary microphone hole, and a SIM card slot. On the right side, the smartphone has a volume rocker and a power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor.

Coming to the front, the device features a 5.9-inch SAMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. It has 445ppi pixel density, max brightness of 1100nits (800nits typical), HDR10+ support, 112 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and color accuracy of delta-E<1. The display panel has a punch hole in the top left corner for the front camera and is surrounded by thin bezels on two sides, with a noticeable chin and forehead.

Specs

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which is built on TSMC’s 4nm node, promising improved energy efficiency and performance compared to its predecessor. The chipset is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The device has an interesting touchpad around the power button of the device which can be used for various purposes including opening the notification drawer, app shortcuts, camera, and media controls. Additionally, a sensor on the back of the device lets users tap the rear to open the camera, flashlight, sound recorder, Google Assistant, and control media. The ZenUI on the Zenphone 9 has been customized for single-handed use with smart gestures for app drawer shortcuts, camera settings, and more.

Even with its compact form factor, the smartphone houses a 4,300mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. The company claims that the battery can be charged from zero to 50 percent in under 30 minutes. It also gets access to a pair of powerful stereo speakers that are claimed to be comparable to the latest flagship devices. Lastly, the Zenfone 9 comes with IP68 dust and water resistance.

Camera

As for optics, the Zenfone 9 has a dual camera setup on the back with a 50-megapixel IMX766 primary sensor with a 6-axis hybrid Gimbal stabilization and EIS.

The primary sensor is accompanied by a 2-megapixel Sony IMX363 ultra-wide sensor with 113 degrees field of view. The ultrawide camera also doubles as a macro camera. Up front, the smartphone comes with a 12-megapixel IMX663 selfie camera that has snappy autofocus. The main cam can record video at 8K 24fps with EIS and 4K at 60fps with EIS. The 12MP front-facing camera also has Dual PDAF so it can capture sharp selfies and 4K video at 30fps (or 1080p at 60fps).

Pricing & availability

Asus has revealed that the Zenfone 9 will have a starting price of €799 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. Pricing for other variants as well as the availability date of the smartphone in the global markets is still under wraps.

The smartphone will be available in four color variants – Black, White, Blue, and Red.

The Moto X30 Pro (Motorola Frontier, also known as the Moto Edge 30 Ultra for the international market) and the foldable Moto Razr 2022 will be unveiled during a Motorola event on August 2 in China. Prior to that, the business posted a teaser on Weibo that shows the Moto X30 Pro’s design and black color choice.

The 200MP camera on this Motorola phone will make it the first smartphone in the world to have a triple rear camera setup: 200MP primary, 50MP secondary, and 12MP third. Earlier, the company’s general manager Chen Jin revealed a sample image from the 200MP camera on the Moto X30 Pro and verified that a 1/1.22-inch sensor was there.

The Motorola logo is located on the curved back panel of the Moto X30 Pro, which sports a triple rear camera arrangement, an LED flash, and a square camera island. It has a curved display with a selfie camera in the center of the front. On the right side, next to the volume rocker, is a power button.

The 6.73-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display on the Moto X30 Pro offers a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 125W charging capabilities and is controlled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It has 256GB of storage, and 12GB of RAM, and launches MyUX based on Android 12 right out of the box.

Price and availability

The Moto X30 Pro is available in Black and is estimated to cost roughly EUR 899. (Approx. Rs 71,500).

Ahead of the scheduled unveiling of the OnePlus 10T on August 3, more details of the smartphone have been released. The OnePlus 10T will come with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The RAM capacity of the new device is an improvement from previous OnePlus devices.

OnePlus says the 10T brings effortless multitasking to the fore as users can juggle up to 35 apps without drawbacks. The 10T is a flagship offering that will come with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Such capability from a smartphone is indeed impressive. However, the 10T needs to be put through stress testing to ascertain the claims of the company. There are still lots of details still lacking for the OnePlus 10T. The detailed specs sheet will put its RAM capacity and chipset’s power in greater perspective.

We already know that the 10T will have a 120Hz display refresh rate, a punch hole at the center, and a 360-degree antenna architecture. It will have a 50MP primary rear camera together with an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro. As the August 3 release date draws closer, we expect to see more details about the OnePlus 10T including pricing and global availability.

Traditionally, OnePlus will likely name the 10T model for the Chinese market differently from the global version. This could be the OnePlus Ace Pro which will also launch on August 3.

Samsung teases upcoming Galaxy Z foldables with an official trailer

Samsung has been hyping its cutting-edge foldable phone series’ upcoming smartphones. Unofficial leaks and authorized teasers alike flooded the media in July with information regarding Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung has now released its newest, even lengthier official trailer for Galaxy Unpacked, which will take place before the South Korean tech giant unveils the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 on August 10.

This 45-second commercial, like the one we saw yesterday, plays on the slogan “flex is better than flat,” indicating that a foldable smartphone would be preferable to a drab old glass-sandwich model. The video supports the overall trend of design that we’ve seen in leaks, with these next foldables mainly mimicking the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3.

The Flip 4 will likely be available in four pastel colors: blue, black, beige, and lavender. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 will likely share the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ CPU at their core. While leaking renders indicate a larger cover display, a larger battery would also be a nice feature.

There is always a cost associated with change, and this year, it is believed that Samsung would raise its prices. Even so, there will undoubtedly be some alluring deals, reductions for trade-in vehicles, and extras to help make the purchase worthwhile, such as the $200 reservation credit that is now accessible. The foldables will likely be the main draw during Unpacked, but Samsung is also anticipated to present the Galaxy Watch 5 and the most recent version of the Galaxy Buds Pro.

Samsung is planning to launch a new lower mid-range 5G smartphone in the global market called the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G. So far, the device has made an appearance on FCC, BIS, and Geekbench databases, hinting at an imminent launch.

Now, a new Gizpie report has emerged revealing the European pricing of this device. According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G will have a price tag of around €300 in Europe. This pricing is for the 4GB + 64GB model. It will be available in White, Black, and Light Blue colors.

Comparing it with its predecessor, the Galaxy A23 5G will be €70 pricier than the Galaxy A22 5G of last year which debuted with a €230 price tag.

So far, leaks have mentioned that the Galaxy A23 5G will have a 6.6-inch PLS LCD panel that has a 90Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution.

The device is all but confirmed to house a Snapdragon 695 chipset under the hood, paired with 4GB of RAM and Android 12 with OneUI 4.1 on top. It is expected to arrive with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging.

As for optics, the device will likely have a 50-megapixel SK Hynix primary camera with OIS support. It could be accompanied by a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens and a pair of 2-megapixel lenses. Other than that, we can expect a single speaker setup, a USB-C type charging port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Xiaomi introduced a new design language with the release of MIUI 12. The company did not make any major changes to the design with the subsequent releases like MIUI 12.5, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, and MIUI 13. But the upcoming MIUI 14 will finally bring major changes to the user interface, as per a report.

A report by Xiaomiui details the design language of MIUI 14. The report relies on the pre-release beta version of MIUI system apps. For the unaware, Xiaomi introduces new features and changes initially via beta versions of MIUI system applications and weekly MIUI Beta releases.

The MIUI 14 design language will have a bold font and will look more modern with card-based UI. The frequently used apps that are getting a design overhaul are Gallery, Clock, and App Vault.

Further, the design of widget picker, launcher settings menu, APK installer, and permission dialog box will be also tweaked. Apart from looks, MIUI 14 will also bring certain new features.

MIUI 14 will have support for bubble notifications, however, it could be limited to tablets and foldables. The next iteration of MIUI will also bring support for Qualcomm LE Audio, Anti Fraud Protection, and text recognition as well as ‘On this day’ features in the Gallery app.

Starting with MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi allows users to uninstall a wide range of system applications. With MIUI 14, users will be also able to uninstall the Clock app.

OnePlus Ace Pro is set to launch in China on August 3rd. It will debut as the OnePlus 10T in the global markets. Apart from the different monikers, the upcoming flagship will likely pack the same specifications. The brand has been revealing key features of the smartphone on its official website leading up to the launch event.

In the latest development, the OnePlus Ace Pro will debut as the industry-first phone with an eight-channel vapour chamber. The heat sink adopts an eight-channel full-through design and the area of VC is as high as 5177mm. It is said to make the heat diffusion rate faster and the heat dissipation effect more uniform to achieve twice the thermal conductivity of an ordinary vapour chamber. This will eliminate heating problems during long gaming sessions, serve freezes in summer, and video recording.

Apart from the heat dissipation system, the OnePlus Ace Pro will retain the same design as the OnePlus 10 Pro. It is confirmed to be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The upcoming offering will pack 16GB LPDDR5 RAM making it the first device from the brand to come with the memory capacity. It will come with a 120Hz display and triple rear cameras.

The OnePlus Ace Pro is tipped to be backed by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 150W charging. It will be offered in various RAM and storage configurations. The device is expected to ship with Android 12 OS out of the box. It will reportedly come with 50MP + 8MP + 2MP cameras.

Tecno Spark 9T has debuted in India. It had launched in Nigeria last month. However, the Indian variant comes with a few different specifications. The latest offering is the second Spark 9 series phone in the country after the regular variant that debuted earlier this month.

The Tecno Spark 9T comes with a 6.6-inch display bearing an FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The back panel sports a horizontal camera module and vertical stripes below it.

The Tecno Spark 9T features a triple rear camera. The setup comprises a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP portrait unit, and an AI lens. There is an 8MP front-facing selfie camera.

Internally the Tecno Spark 9T is equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G35 processor. The chipset is paired with 4GB RAM along with 3GB virtual memory. The device packs 64GB onboard storage. The smartphone will draw its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging. The Tecno Spark 9T runs on HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11.

Back in March 2021, Xiaomi debuted its first foldable smartphone dubbed the Mi Mix Fold. The company is gearing up to launch its successor called the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.

So far, the device has made an appearance on the TENAA database and has also been subject to many leaks regarding its specs and design. Now, tipster Abhishek Yadav has revealed the launch timeline of the foldable device.

According to the tipster, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will be launching in August 2022. If this leak turns out to be accurate, then we will likely start seeing the Mix Fold 2 teasers soon. Xiaomi is also rumored to unveil the MIUI 14 ROM based on Android 13 on August 16th, so we could see the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 launching on that day.

According to reports so far, the Mix Fold 2 will come with an 8.1-inch internal display. This will be an LTPO OLED panel with 2K resolution and with variable 120Hz refresh rate. The aspect ratio of the panel is rumored to be 21:9, which means that the Mix Fold 2 could be shorter in height and wider compared to its predecessor.

While there had been rumors that hinted at Samsung seemingly dropping its Exynos chips for its next gen flagship Galaxy S23 series, Qualcomm has basically confirmed this news in a recent conference.

The chipmaking giant basically confirmed the rumors during the Q&A session with analysts after it shred its quarterly financial report. When asked about the renewal of chip supply deal with Samsung, Qualcomm’s CEO stated that the chips are already being supplied to the South Korean tech giant. He further CEO Cristiano Amon further added that “And what I can say at this point is we were 75% on Galaxy S22 before the agreement. You should be thinking about we’re going to be much better than that on Galaxy S23 and beyond.”

Notably, this chip deal is a 7 year extension and will also include processors that are outside of Galaxy smartphones like “Galaxy books, Windows PCs, Galaxy tablets, future extended reality devices and other devices.” Amon said that this is “a very significant agreement, very excited and really the companies are much closer together.” In other words, its a multiyear agreement signed by both parties and we can also expect it to include 6G components as well in the future.

Apart from this, the previous rumors had hinted at the Exynos 2230 5G modem under performing compared to Snapdragon X70 modem is one of reasons why Samsung chose to sign an exclusivity deal with Qualcomm. The latter’s flagship chipsets will also be based on the advanced 4nm process from TSMC, which should also deliver improved energy consumption and better performance than any other chip currently in the market.

We have recently covered a number of reports regarding the Samsung Galaxy A04s. Now, the latest news is regarding the leaked live images of the device, which offers us a closer look at its design.

The live images were shared by 91Mobiles, revealing the full design of the smartphone. Looking at these images, we can make out the camera cutout as well as the ports as well. The report adds that the South Korean tech giant’s new Galaxy A04s model will carry the model number SM-A047. We have already reported on the upcoming budget smartphone beginning production in India.

The rear panel will be made out of plastic but with textured patterns. Its power button will be housed on the right while the front packs a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. Other features include, a triple camera setup on the back paired with an LED flash, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type C port for charging and data transfer, as well as bottom firing speakers.

From what we already know about the device, we can expect the Galaxy A04s to be equipped with an Exynos 850 SoC. This chipset will be paired with 3GB of RAM and the handset will run on Android 12 OS. The front will likely sport an LCD panel owing to its budget category and it is rumored to support just 15W fast charging as well.
