Design

The Realme X7 Pro Ultra not only wins this design comparison, but it is the best Realme phone when it comes to aesthetics. It is the only smartphone released by this brand to sport a curved edge-to-edge display. Further, it is thinner and lighter than the Realme GT and the GT Neo. On the other hand, Realme GT 5G comes in a special leather version with a very original design. Even the Realme GT Neo has an interesting design, especially the Final Fantasy color variant. But the Realme X7 Pro Ultra is the most beautiful one.

Display

There are no huge differences between the displays of these three phones. The Realme GT 5G and the Realme GT Neo offer exactly the same panel: a Super AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.43 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Realme X7 Pro Ultra is slightly inferior because it has a 90 Hz refresh rate, but it still offers a Super AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution and very high brightness. The diagonal in this case is 6.55 inches, but with curved edges.

Hardware/Software

If you need the most powerful handset, go for the Realme GT 5G without thinking twice. It has the best chipset in the Android market: the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform released by Qualcomm. The SoC is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. You can get up to 12/256 GB with Realme GT Neo as well, but the processor is weaker: we are talking about the Dimensity 1200 by MediaTek, still a flagship processor but less powerful than Snapdragon 888. The Realme X7 Pro Ultra takes the last position with its Dimensity 1000+ chipset. All the phones run Android 11 out of the box.

Camera

The rear camera setup is exactly the same on all of these devices and it is midrange-class. It includes a 64 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2 MP macro camera. There is only a difference: the Realme X7 Pro Ultra has a better 32 MP selfie camera, while Realme GT and GT Neo pack a 16 MP front camera.

Battery

Realme GT, GT Neo, and X7 Pro Ultra pack the same dual-cell 4500 mAh battery, but the Realme GT 5G has a processor built with a better production process, so it has lower energy consumption.

Realme GT 5G vs Realme GT Neo vs Realme X7 Pro Ultra: Price

Realme GT 5G starts from about €424/$510 in China, Realme GT Neo costs about €260/$312 in its base variant, and Realme X7 Pro Ultra starts from €310/$373. The Realme GT 5G is the most advanced device of this comparison, the Realme GT Neo provides the highest value for money, and the Realme X7 Pro Ultra offers the best design and front camera.

OPPO Reno3 5G starts getting ColorOS 11 (Android 11) update

OPPO has been updating its older devices with ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 lately. The latest ones to get it were devices like the OPPO A91, Reno2 Z, Reno3 A. Now, the company has started rolling out the update to the OPPO Reno3 5G.

The OPPO Reno3 5G sold via SoftBank in Japan is getting a new OTA update courtesy of the Piunikaweb report. As per the company’s update page, the device has started getting the update with build number A001OP_11_C.13.

This update brings the latest Android 11 to the Reno3 5G device in Japan. This makes the device eligible for getting the update elsewhere. This should also bump up the ColorOS to 11.

If you recall, the OPPO Reno3 5G debuted with ColorOS 7 with Android 10 out of the box and hence, the Android 11 should be the first major Android upgrade for the device. The Android 11 brings features like one-time permissions, app permissions auto reset, chat bubbles and if you want to know more, you can read our coverage.

The ColorOS 11, on the other hand, itself brings a lot of features with it. We have UI customizations, OPPO Relax 2.0, FlexDrop, and more. This stable update comes three months after the commencement of ColorOS 11 Beta in China.

Anyway, if you are someone living in Japan, you can check for the OTA update manually. To do that, go to Settings->Software Update. OPPO recently shared the update rollout plan for April 2021.

Accordingly, it has commenced the Beta program for  OPPO Reno Z, OPPO A73 5G, and OPPO A5 2020, and OPPO A9 2020. We can expect more devices to join the list very soon.
