DxOMark review shows the iPhone 12 Pro camera is on par with the Mi 10 Pro’s

Expert in audiovisuals and images, DXOMark has just released its iPhone 12 Pro camera review, together with its verdict. The new model offers some improvements, performance-wise, over the iPhone 11 Pro, released in 2019. Overall, this performance review resulted in a 4 point improvement of the 12 Pro over the 11 Pro.

The overall score of the test was 128 points, thus ranking the new model fourth in overall rankings, on par with Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Pro and a place behind Huawei’s P40 Pro.

In the performance test of the sensors, all three sensors output 12MP shots. The smartphone has a main 26mm-equivalent lens with aperture and OIS, supported by a 13mm-equivalent ultrawide lens that comes with F/2.4 aperture, and a 52mm telephoto module with F/2.0 aperture and OIS. An important addition to the iPhone 12 Pro is the LiDAR sensor which is deployed for accurate depth sensing.iPhone 12 Pro

The 12 Pro performed substantially well across all the levels. DxO highlighted its consistent autofocus performance, perfect colours and detail preservation as the strong selling points. Details in indoor shots were rendered excellently and the exposure tests also came out nicely on all grounds for the model.

The results from the performance tests on nighttime also revealed a solid footing for the model. However, for the nighttime shots, the noise was visible and detail was slightly affected. On the aspect of the dynamic range, the model scored low, while the telephoto sensor was not up to speed when greater zooming was required for difficult tasks. The ultra wide-angle performance was satisfactory, although a little more still could be done to put it at par with other leading lights in the industry. iPhone 12 Pro

Visuals provided by video recording showed great performance for the model, with excellent results in autofocus, exposure and colour accuracy. The video tests also established excellent stabilization and sufficient detail preservation even in extreme lighting conditions, and the wide dynamic range contributed positively to the overall points garnered by the 12 Pro.

Apple will reportedly launch the AirPods 3 and mini LED iPad by Q2 2021

A leading Apple analyst of longstanding, Ming Chi-Kuo predicts that Apple’s revenue is expected to double (100% rise)  year-on-year in 2021 due mainly to a change in the iPhone 13’s battery components.

The research report released by the analyst (via) states that Taiwan Career Technology will be rejoining the fray as a key supplier for virtually all Apple’s products beginning from next year, 2021. This includes iPhone 13 projected to come on stream in the second half of 2021, the new AirPods with an expected release by the second quarter of 2021, and a new mini LED iPad (with an innovative and new display) expected to berth within the first half of the new year as well. The iPhone 12’s batteries currently combine soft and hard boards in production. However,  the iPhone 13 is predicted to utilize only soft board technology. Soft board batteries come with fewer layers than hardboard batteries. This innovation in the battery design of the iPhone will result in better optimization of internal space due to its smaller-sized battery and an overall reduction in the cost of production.

The iPhones models released this year have slightly smaller batteries than the iPhone 11 series released in 2019. Given the added power demands of the fifth-generation (5G) modems in all the models in the series, coupled with the larger screen of the iPhone 12 Pro, the current iPhone’s performance has not been stellar in terms of endurance. Apple has been searching for ways to extend battery life while making iPhones sleeker.iPhone 12

In terms of battery supplies, Taiwan Career Technology is expected to have between 40%-50% of battery orders for the iPhone 13 and 13 mini next year. A couple of other suppliers, Unimicron and Unitech, .are also expected to have a little chunk of the battery supply market.

From the Kuo report, the new Apple AirPods 3 will have a similar design with the current AirPods Pro. Taiwan Career Technology is expected to also be the main supplier of many components in the product. These include the soft boards in the AirPods and the accompanying charging cases, as well as optical and acoustic component soft boards for the mini LED iPads.

We hold our breaths while awaiting the release of these products in H1, 2021.

Upcoming MediaTek MT6893 6nm chipset benchmarked, key specs revealed

Earlier this week, MediaTek teased the arrival of a new 6nm chipset. The Taiwan-based company revealed that it is a premium platform that features Cortex-A78 cores that work at 3.0GHz. The company is yet to confirm its final product name and other details. Today, a reliable tipster from China shared the specs of an unannounced MT6893 chipset. The same SoC has also appeared at the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Probably, it could be the same chip that MediaTek is planning to launch soon.

The leak reveals that the MediaTek MT6893 is an octa-core processor that includes a single Cortex-A78 core working at 2.8GHz, a triple Cortex-A78 core ticking at 2.6GHz, and a quad Cortex-A55 core working at 2.0GHz. The SoC is equipped with a Mali-G77 MC9 CPU for handling graphics. These specs suggest that the MT6893 will offer better performance than the existing Dimensity 1000+ chipset.

The tipster claimed that the frequency of the MT6893 is the same as the Exynos 1080 that went official earlier this week. As mentioned above, MediaTek’s upcoming premium chipset can clock up to 3.0GHz. So, there could be two versions of the chipset or its frequency could be increased to 3.0GHz at launch.

The MT6893 chipset’s Geekbench listing reveals that it has scored 4108 in the single-core test and 11,204 in the multi-core test. The listing seems to belong to a testing device that is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and Android 11 OS. The base frequency of the SoC is mentioned as 2.0GHz.

The MediaTek MT6893 is expected to go official before the end of this year. The Taiwanese company is also rumored to be working on another chipset that has a model number MT6891. It is likely that both chipsets may go official together in the coming weeks.

In related news, MediaTek recently announced the Dimensity 700 mid-range chipset. Alongside it, the company also unleashed the 7nm MT8192 and 6nm MT8195 chipsets for forthcoming Chromebook with high-end specs.

Sony’s latest PS5 hit by a bug that causes games to get stuck at ‘Queued for download’

The newly released gaming console by Sony, PlayStation 5 has been hit by a bug that prevents a smooth download of games and apps. This download glitch is reflected in the prompt “Queued for Download” or error state whenever a user wants to make a download. For now, the only temporary solution is to reset the console to factory settings. PlayStation 5 FAQ

The glitch has been experienced by several users of the console, and it is reported that it occurs when the console is set for its first download. It is reported that there is either an error in the download or the game or app being chosen by the user for download will show the message: Queued for Download. Both notifications give a prompt to check the Downloads menu, which remains empty.

As a fallout of this download glitch, the console becomes annoyingly stuck and temporarily demobilized with respect to the download. A check on the PS5 library will show that the user owns the game/app while the PS5 Store still says the user is yet to purchase the app/game.

Some of the popular games affected by these download glitches are Godfall, Spider-Man, Demon’s Souls, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (the earlier PS4 version could be downloaded without any hitches) and the Disney+ app, among others.

From the reports thus far, the download glitches only affected games and apps that were specific to the PS5.

Sony has not released any statement yet on the issue. But Activision publisher of Call of Duty recommends a factory reset for any user who encounters this bug. This solved the problem for many of the users. Of course, undertaking a factory reset wipes the console clean, meaning one has to download his games afresh, as well as begin playing from scratch. However, for now, this seems the only way out of the problem.

OnePlus Nord N10 vs Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite vs Samsung Galaxy A51 5G: Specs Comparison

OnePlus is not all about flagships anymore. This year, the Chinese giant released three affordable phones from the brand new Nord series: we are talking about the OnePlus Nord, the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and the OnePlus Nord N100. After comparing the vanilla Nord with several handsets, it is the turn of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G: one of the most affordable 5G mid-rangers. And we could not avoid comparing it with other 5G mid-rangers released in the last period. We believe the best ones for such a comparison are the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite and the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G. Let’s discover who is better.

Design

The design of these phones is all but ugly and outdated. They are beautiful devices, but not as premium as flagships. I do not like the big and rectangle-shaped camera module of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite placed in the center. The Samsung Galaxy A51 5G looks more elegant with its centrally-placed punch-hole display, its less invasive camera module, and its sturdy aluminum frame, despite it lacks the glass back of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite. The Samsung Galaxy A51 5G has a cleaner back than both its rivals. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is entirely made of polycarbonate with the exception of the front panel, and it has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner: definitely not the best solution.

Display

My favorite display and the best one for most of the users out there belongs to the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G since it sports a Super AMOLED panel showing more brilliant colors and deeper blacks. Further, it has an in-display fingerprint reader. But despite all these qualities, someone (especially gamers) may prefer the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite due to its high 120 Hz refresh rate and the HDR10 certification, no matter if it is an IPS panel. The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite also offers a wider diagonal. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is inferior to both with its average IPS 90 Hz display.

Hardware/Software

On the paper, the best hardware department belongs to the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G, despite it is not powered by a Snapdragon chipset. The Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is fueled by the Exynos 980 mobile platform paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and UFS 2.1 internal storage. With the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite which takes the second place, you get a Snapdragon 750G SoC paired with a max of 6 GB of RAM. You get just 6 GB of RAM with the OnePlus Nord N10 5G as well, but the chipset is the Snapdragon 690 5G. These handsets run Android 10 out of the box, but we already know that OnePlus Nord N10 5G will get just one major update.

Camera

If we talk about the rear cameras, the OnePlus Nord N10 5G is a more interesting camera phone, at least on paper. It has a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, a 5 MP depth sensor, and a 2 MP dedicated macro camera. But the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G actually comes with a better front camera with its 32 MP resolution. Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite is not a great camera phone, at least if we compare it to the other handsets of this comparison. It has a pretty nice main sensor, but the camera department is not as stunning as the OnePlus Nord N10 5G.

Battery

The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite sports the biggest battery and the fastest charging technology. But in several scenarios, the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G can reach a slightly longer battery life because its components are more efficient, including its AMOLED display with standard refresh rate and smaller diagonal.

Price

Thanks to online street prices, you can find all of these devices for less than €300/$300 in the global market. While we would discard the OnePlus Nord N10 5G due to its inferior display and hardware, it is a hard fight between Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite and Samsung Galaxy A51 5G. The former offers an AMOLED display and amazing hardware, while the latter has stereo speakers, 120 Hz, and a big battery with very fast charging. Maybe I would go for the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G.

Future Pixel devices would be devoid of unlimited Google Photos backup

Google recently announced that it will terminate unlimited ‘High-quality‘ backup on Google Photos starting June 1, 2021. While the existing Pixel devices are exempt from this change, new reports suggest that future Pixel devices won’t be able to escape it.

Google Photos new icon

As quoted by Android Authority(source 1, 2), Google has confirmed to Android Police and Android Central that Future Google Pixel smartphones won’t have Free Google Photos backup. In fact, it won’t even get the unlimited ‘high-quality’ option that current pixels(till Pixel 5) are going to get. This totally negates the point of People who basically prefer to buy them for unlimited backup.

Instead, as reported earlier, the company has started emphasizing more on its Paid Cloud Storage, Google One. If you notice at the end of the blog post about Google Photos, it has mentioned Google One subscriptions. Accordingly, it costs $99.99(USA)/₹6,500(India) a year or $9.99/₹650 a month, and includes VPN service for Android as well(2TB Plan).

That said, this confirmation basically means that if you are someone who is planning to buy future pixel devices(after Google Pixel 5), you need to start saving for cloud storage. In case you run out of the free 15GB, Google will constantly alert you. And entice you to get the extra storage. Do note that, if you leave the completed storage unattended for 24 months, Google might delete some content by itself.

Besides, If you track Google’s approach over the years, you can see a trend here. The first Pixel introduced unlimited “original-quality” backup to Google Photos. However, after Pixel 3a, and subsequently 4, the tagline changed to “high-quality” images. Ironically, the same company, which used “unlimited backup” as a marketing tagline earlier, now says that the free 15GB it offers is enough to store three years of memories.

That said, we do understand Google’s concern about maintaining a sustainable App experience in the future. And catering to the insane demand for cloud storage every day. However, it needs to find a way to lure future Pixel buyers by giving plans similar to “three months of Google One(100GB)” with Pixel 5.

TikTok India Head spills confidence about the comeback in a letter to his employees

After PUBG, TikTok could be coming back to India. In a letter to employees, Nikhil Gandhi, TikTok India’s Head says that he is optimistic about a “positive outcome”.

TikTok App

As HT Tech(via Gadgets360) says, Nikhil Gandhi has written a letter to his employees via email. In that, he assures them that the company is giving its best to resume operations in India. Further, he adds that the company is committed to complying with local laws which include data privacy and security requirements.

As per his statement, the company has not only clarified the concerns to the Government but is also willing to cooperate more in the future. He says that the company would remain dedicated to back its content creators and wouldn’t leave them out to dry. Looks like the company is optimistic about starting operations in the country soon.

For the unaware, the Indian Govt. banned Tiktok, a popular short video platform App, including 58 other Apps in June. However, the App’s parent company ByteDance Ltd., is hopeful for a comeback. It has about 2,000 employees in India to manage TikTok and Helo operations.

Following the Indian ban, a series of reactions emerged elsewhere leading to further bans in countries like the USA, Pakistan. It also had to walk out of Hong Kong after new security laws by the Mainland Chinese Government. Coming back, the letter should kindle confidence in the minds of fans, as well as its employees.

Although the company is fairly silent, it seems to be doing the groundwork correctly to prove that the App is not only the best but secure enough. Besides, the company is reportedly keeping its employee force intact by encouraging them with salary bonuses. And conducting an “annual performance review cycle”, in addition to improving their skills.

Unlike the situation in the USA, we aren’t exactly sure when and how exactly is TikTok making a comeback. Nevertheless, let’s just hope that the company satisfies the local regulations whilst making a strong comeback to its favorite market.

Apple iPhone 12 Mini teardown video details the internals

We already got a sneak peek of the iPhone 12 Pro Max and we now introduce the smaller iPhone 12 mini, as both phones make inroads into the market for a share of consumers’ demand. A Chinese blogger who managed to get his hands on a unit of the iPhone 12 Mini, dismantled the device and shared his experience of what he found inside the mini on his blog.iPhone 12 Mini

The teardown exercise began with the removal of the screws holding the device at the bottom. Thereafter, the screen was carefully extracted from the panel. Deploying finesse in his tool handling skills and concentration, the blogger navigated the maze of glue and elements to provide a bird’s eye view of the internal components of the device. The 12 mini is fitted with a 2,227mAh battery, which could be a potential drawback of the model, as the battery may be far behind the other models in the 12-series, as reflected by reviews so far.

Other important components of the iPhone 12 mini were also shown from the teardown exercise. It has an L-shaped motherboard with the SIM slot attached. The dual camera modules reveal the main 12MP camera comes with OIS, which is absent in the 12MP ultrawide camera.

The smartphone, as its name implies, is a pocket-sized device that would serve the needs of a segment of the market. Even with its size, the screen is a 5.4-inch Super XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2340x1080pixel. It has display characteristics of 476 ppi and up to 1200 nits of brightness, at par with the other models in the 12-series.iPhone 12 Mini

The teardown also revealed that the iPhone 12 mini comes with the same chipset as the iPhone 12. Similarly, there are no differences in the camera system, wireless charging capability, IP68 rating and colour options between the mini and its bigger counterpart.

The iPhone 12 mini is available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options. Check out the teardown video from below (source).

Nokia 2.4 tipped to launch in India by November-end

HMD Global unveiled Nokia 2.4 alongside Nokia 3.4 in late September for the European market. Now, more than a month later, the former device is tipped to launch in India at the end of November.

Nokia 2.4 featured

The Nokia 2.4 is a budget smartphone from the house of HMD Global. It is the successor to last year’s Nokia 2.3. The device made its global debut in Europe and now, according to the sources of MySmartPrice, this handset will be released in India by November-end.

Talking about specs, the Nokia 2.4 is a modest smartphone powered by MediaTek helio P22 chipset paired with 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. The highlight of this phone is its large 6.5-inch HD+ LCD panel with 21:9 aspect ratio and dew-drop notch.

The device’s body is made of polycarbonate and comes in three unique finishes called Charcoal, Dusk, and Fjord. On the back, it houses a 13MP (wide) + 2MP (depth) vertically aligned dual-camera setup along with an LED flash and a fingerprint sensor below it.

Whereas, on the front, the phone sports a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls. As for software, it runs Android 10 and is eligible for Android 11 update and maybe even Android 12 as it is part of Android One program.

Last but not least, the Nokia 2.4 comes with a microSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, single-band WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, dedicated Google Assistant key, and a 4,500mAh battery that charges via MicroUSB port.

Older Google Pixels are getting revamped Camera UI

Google is known to introduce a new version of Google Camera with the launch of every Pixel device. Likewise, it launched the Google Camera 8.0 with new UI buttons and features alongside the Pixel 5. Now, it looks like the company is pushing a new update of Google Camera 8.1 to older Pixel devices as well.

A Twitter user Kelvin Peralta(via Android Authority)says that the new update came with Play Store Version 8.1.008.341125824. Accordingly, he has shared a screenshot of the Google Camera 8.1 UI on his Pixel 4 XL. It shows a new ‘Cinematic Pan’ mode for Video. This is already present on the Camera 8.0 version on Google Pixel 5.

For the unware, Cinematic Pan is helpful in the stabilization of video while panning(swivel horizontally) for shots. Besides, on examining the APK version, 9to5Google’s team found that the latest Camera 8.1 is compatible with older pixels dating back to Pixel 2/2XL. That’s a great sign considering Google is restricting sideload of Camera Apps from Camera 8.0. Also, this is evident from another user who claims that he got the update on his Pixel 2 XL.

Further, Kelvin says that the new Play Store version jumped quite a bit from 7.5.108.332953030. It’s possible that Google decided to revamp the App directly with a new version. However, we aren’t sure if all the other features of Camera 8.0 like Night Sight portrait quick zoom and quick access toggle in Video are coming to Pixel 4 XL and other devices.

That said, the new Google Camera 8.1 App also doesn’t seem to support sideloading. And apparently, an error relating to verification pops up while trying to do it. Sideloading is basically downloading the APK from the other sources and installing it manually.

However, a user has replied on the thread saying that he was able to find a workaround for it. He says by uninstalling the Play Services update, and re-installing the APK after signing up for Play Services Beta seems to work. But we aren’t sure how well this method will work for older devices. Hence, we would suggest you wait for Google to push it from its side as it doesn’t seem that far now.

Galaxy A12 spotted on Geekbench with MediaTek helio P35, 3GB RAM & Android 10

In late August, a report revealed Samsung to be working on Galaxy A12 budget smartphone with model number SM-A125F. This handset is said to arrive in 32GB and 64GB storage variants. Now, two and a half months later, this device gets spotted on Geekbench revealing its chipset, RAM, and software.

Samsung Galaxy A11 Featured
Samsung Galaxy A11

Samsung trademarked Galaxy A12 branding along with other Ax2 names in late 2019 ahead of the launch of Galaxy Ax1 generation of devices. Now, almost a year later, this device is finally about to launch.

Ahead of it, the phone has visited Geekbench benchmarking platform exposing some of its specs. According to the listing (via 91Mobiles), the forthcoming Galaxy A12 will be powered by MediaTek helio P35 chipset paired with 3GB RAM. For the unaware, its predecessor, the Galaxy A11 features Qualcomm Snapdragon 450.

As for software, it will run Android 10 operating even though Android 11 is already out. But since it is a budget smartphone, we can give it a pass. But it should get the update to the latest Android version after launch.

Apart from the above-mentioned parameters, nothing else is known about the upcoming Galaxy A12, except for microSD card support and colors – Black, White, Red & Blue.

Mozilla releases a list of popular gadgets with “Creepy” privacy rating

Gifting a loved one a gadget is a well-established tradition reflecting a token of our love. But times are indeed changing. These days it can be fraught with many previously unforeseen pitfalls as you may end up gifting your loved one a fitness tracker that can also track and record mood shifts, or a seemingly harmless doorbell that can also monitor police activity. Privacy watchdog, Mozilla has come out with a useful list of well-known gadgets with ratings on just how creepy they are.

While internet rights proponents continue to project “Privacy not included” mantra, this year 2020 has yielded a whole lot of quite creepy devices, which on their face value, seems to be wonderful gadgets worthy of being gifted to a loved one. Given the upsurge of “smart” speakers, security cameras, doorbells, and several other devices, caution and due diligence is needed before settling for a gift gadget.

It is suggested that Amazon is on the wrong end of this creepy spectrum, as virtually everything by company, with the exception of Kindle, sends huge amounts of data to Amazon, by design. However, Mozilla is of the view that Amazon has not earned its stripes and hence the trust to acquire such privacy data. Mozilla also placed Facebook on the wrong end of the creepy spectrum for a similar reason.

Devices that got creepy ratings are diverse. For example, a smart coffee maker and Moleskine smart notebook got unfavourable ratings because critical assurances about data protection and security were absent, which is unacceptable from any company that collects such information. This kind of behaviour – being silent on assurances on data security is prevalent with many smart gadgets. Indeed they may not be inherently creepy, but the company that produces these gadgets has the capacity to make them creepy at any time.

On the good end of the creepy spectrum is Withings (formerly Nokia Health). Withings got points for its range of smart devices with sufficiently acceptable privacy policies and data security. Some of the devices that got top marks were Withings’ Non-Ring smart doorbell and Garmin’s smartwatches.

These rankings by Mozilla (via) are informal, and could also be subjective. However they are based on the potential for abuse or breach of your data, and it does not necessarily imply that a device that is not “creepy” would keep your data perfectly safe or private. If you choose to buy any of these gadgets, it is advised to immediately scrutinize the settings and preferences and disable anything that seems invasive or creepy. This guides against putting your important privacy data in the open, because once your data is out there, it is almost impossible to retrieve it without damage.

realme X7 series confirmed to launch in India in 2021

Chinese brand realme launched India’s first 5G smartphone in the form of realme X50 Pro in the first quarter of 2020. Also, this handset happens to be the only 5G-enabled device from the brand in the country ever after months. But now, the company’s Indian CEO has confirmed to release more 5G smartphones in 2021.

Realme X7 official renders 5

Last week, a popular Indian tech influencer claimed that realme may debut its X7 series of 5G smartphones in India in December. Then, earlier this week, Anku Jain, the Managing Director (MD) of MediaTek India hinted at the launch of these devices.

Now, Madhav Sheth, the CEO of realme India himself has confirmed that the realme X7 series will launch in 2021. Also, he revealed the brand’s plan to ‘democratize 5G technology in 2021’. That means realme will be launching more 5G smartphones next year in India, instead of only one handset like it did this year.

Anyway, users of these phones will not be able to use 5G as there’s no 5G network in India. Above all, the government is yet to auction spectrum for the fifth-generation wireless network.

So one might be wondering why realme is bringing 5G handsets to India. The answer is simple: the brand wants to be a forerunner by readying the market even before 5G arrives as India is one of the three largest smartphone markets in the world.

Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro
Realme X7 (left) and Realme X7 Pro (right)

Another reason is that almost all Chinese brands have been only launching 5G smartphones in their home market since the beginning of 2020. This trend is expected to get stronger in the coming quarters. Hence, it does not make sense for the companies to invest in R&D for 4G phones.

OnePlus Nord 2 is codenamed ‘Denniz’ and is reportedly in the works

The news was out this week that premium quality tech brand OnePlus is developing a fourth consumer-friendly smartphone called the OnePlus Nord SE. Subsequent events, however, point to the release of a fifth model soon. The OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to be out by the first quarter of 2021.

OnePlus Nord
OnePlus Nord in Gray and Cyan

Smartphone buff and tipster Max Jambor, with a reputation for posting sometimes undecipherable and prophetic tweets on smartphone brands, just tweeted on the codename ‘Denniz.’

While Jambor did not specifically link OnePlus to the Denniz codename in the tweet, in subsequent communication with Phonearena, he clarified that ‘Denniz’ is the name OnePlus may have chosen for the second-generation smartphone from its stable.

For now, information is scanty on the features and specifications of this new model. However, possible upgrades may include an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 700-series chipset, an OnePlus 8T-like camera module with more powerful sensors, and possibly a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display to replace the existing 90Hz display.

The OnePlus Nord 2 is projected to be released in 2021 as a replacement for the original model, launched in July 2020. However, considering the early development milestones that may have been reached, an early announcement could be in the offing.

It is also speculated that the price of this new offering could be in-between that of the OnePlus 9 and the upcoming OnePlus Nord SE.
