It’s quite surprising to see Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie distribution. Today, folks over at Sammobile has spotted the Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition at WiFi-Alliance running Android 9.0 Pie. As per the source, a total of seven Galaxy devices have been spotted running the Android 9.0 Pie. The list includes all the flagships of the Korean giant launched in over past few years.
The listings have appeared at WiFi Alliance on November 12, 2018. So, it seems either Samsung is testing the new builds or have successfully tested as they are again certifying the devices from WiFi Alliance. Well, whatever the reason is for again listing on WiFi Alliance, it has given a chance of joy for the users of these devices.
The list of the devices that have been spotted at the WiFi Alliance is:
Samsung Galaxy S9
Samsung Galaxy S9+
Samsung Galaxy S8
Samsung Galaxy S8+
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition
Samsung Galaxy Note 8
Samsung Galaxy Note 9
We hope all the Note 7 FE users are aware of the circumstances about how it evolved out of two recalls in 2016 following several fire incidents. It is a boon for those Note 7 FE users as they will get another chance to endeavor the latest Android system. It carries same specs as like of the Galaxy Note 7 except the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, which took place instead of a Snapdragon 820. Even, a 3500 mAh battery was replaced with the 3200 mAh battery.
Talking about Galaxy S9 and S9+, then the Korean giant is going to roll out Android 9.0 Pie beta in the next couple of weeks. Units in countries such as the US, Germany, and Spain will be the first ones to taste Android 9.0 Pie. The final version might be pushed out in January, next year as like of Galaxy Note 9.
Ultimately, the new listing at WiFi Alliance is hinting that Samsung is nearing the rollout of beta tests on various of its flagship smartphones. In the upcoming few days or weeks, you can expect a beta or stable Android 9.0 Pie update on the devices mentioned above.
Lighting not only improves the artistic appeal of a living space but also enhances its ambiance if done correctly. Lighting appliances add style to the interior decor by illuminating a room and creates a safe and relaxed environment.

Huawei is currently the second largest smartphone brand in the world and it is aiming to dethrone Samsung to grab the number one spot. In an interview with Android Pit, Walter Ji who is the President of Huawei’s Consumer Business has revealed the company’s plans for 2019.
Walter Ji has revealed that Huawei will be focusing on its flagship devices in 2019 and it the company is aiming to launch its first foldable phone with 5G support in the first half of the coming year. The Huawei P20 Pro phone that was released this year is the world’s first smartphone to feature triple rear cameras. In 2019, Huawei will be launching a smartphone with four rear cameras. There is no confirmation on whether it will be available on the Huawei P30 Pro smartphone. Walter Ji has claimed that the company is working on bringing 10x optical zoom support on a smartphone.
Ji is of the view that the 5G will considerably change the smartphone usage as high speed data will allow users to avail content directly from the cloud without the need of downloading. Since 5G won’t be available everywhere in 2019, AI cannot be outsourced to the cloud. Hence, the company is parallelly developing on-device AI through Kirin processor’s NPU unit and cloud AI to make it available to the user at any time. In 2019, AI will play key role in improving photography experience and battery performance on Huawei devices.
Huawei will not be focusing on entry-level segment in 2019. Also, the Chinese firm won’t be launching Android One phones which means that all the Huawei phones coming in 2019 will not deliver stock Android experience.
To become the number one smartphone brand, Huawei is planning to expand its business in Europe. It is aiming to open around ten to twenty large flagship stores in Europe. Apart from mobile devices and wearables, Huawei will be also focusing on PC segment in the coming year.
Do you think Huawei will become the number one smartphone brand soon? Share us your views by posting your comments below.

Recently, a Nokia phone with model number TA-1136 was spotted at Bluetooth SIG. Since it carries support for Bluetooth 5.0, it was speculated that it could be the international version of the Nokia X7 smartphone. The TA-1136 model has also received approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S. through which some of its key specs have revealed. The specs of the TA-1136 that have surfaced through its FCC listings reveal that it could be the upcoming Nokia 2.1 Plus smartphone.
The FCC documents reveal that the Nokia TA-1136 has 1 GB of RAM and it includes an internal storage of 16 GB. The FCC listings also reveal that it is electronically same as the Nokia 2.1 variant that has a model number of TA-1084. The Nokia 2.1 that was announced in May this year has 8 GB of ROM. Hence, the TA-1136 that includes double the storage of Nokia 2.1 may hit the market with Nokia2.1 Plus moniker.
As far as specs are concerned, the FCC documents do not contain much information on it. The only additional details that have been found in the FCC listing of the TA-1136 is that it carries support for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity. So, there is no dual-band 5GHz Wi-Fi support on the device. HMD Global will be disabling some of the network bands on the device because of which it won’t be available in the U.S.
The Nokia 2.1 runs on Android Go version of Android 8.1 Oreo OS. It features a 5.5-inch display that carries support for HD resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels. The modest Snapdragon 425 chipset that includes 1.4 GHz quad-core processor is the driving force of the smartphone.
The handset is fitted with a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel and a rear shooter of 8-megapixel. Apart from 8 GB of internal storage, the device offers additional space through microSD card slot. It is packed with a 4,000mAh capacity battery.
Known primarily for making high-end smartphones, Xiaomi also manufacturers a slew of other awe-inspiring products such as e-bikes, robot vacuum cleaners and lots more.

To put it simply, the Audio Adapter HD adds an audio jack to the phone. A feature believed to be essential but which is missing from the phone. However, the Audio Adapter HD does more than just add an audio jack to your phone.
The adapter has a “high-resolution ESS Sabre DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) with hardware MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) rendering for high-res audio on the PH-1“. This means that audio sounds exactly the way it was recorded with no loss of quality whatsoever. Essential says it is the first DAC to have this feature.
The adapter which is built of titanium just like the frame of the phone supports 24-bit, 96kHz and MQA rendering up to 32-bit, 384kHZ. Essential says it also has an audiophile-grade amp for audiophile-grade headphones. The Audio Adapter HD has a multi-color LED that indicates if you are playing master quality, non-MQA, or standard content.

The Audio Adapter HD has an IP55 rating, measures 29 x 30 x 11.5 mm and weighs 15.5 grams. It draws power from the phone and since it doesn’t connect to the Type-C port, you can charge your phone while using it. Xiaomi has got its fans covered in almost all product categories including home items like sofa, bed, washing machine and others usually released under the crowdfunding platform. The company has now launched the Yang Zi leather sofa set under the crowdfunding platform. This is no doubt a China-exclusive product but it underscores the company’s penchant for quality, beautifully-designed and classy products.
The Yang Zi Leather Sofa is an award-winning product as the design has clinched both the iF and Good Design awards. On May 31 when Xiaomi announced the Mi Band 3 alongside the Mi 8, the event was full of surprises. First was the Mi 8 Explorer edition with a cool translucent rear panel. The company also announced an NFC version of the Mi Band 3 which can power cardless payments on compatible platforms. It took a long while after its launch for the Mi Band 3 NFC version could become available to buy but it is presently in use. Xiaomi has now announced a new update for the NFC version.
The new update brings two new features, one of which is support for Chang’An card. The card is a universal electronic toll collection system in use in the city of is Xi’an and can be used to pay for various services in the city including utility bills. The second feature is the ability to add a blank NFC card. This would allow the card to be used by a third-party elsewhere.
Apart from these new features, the Mi Band 3 NFC version can be used for contactless payments using Mi Pay in China. Apart from Mi-Pay, the version can be used for bus card and subway ticket payment. The bus card feature will be enabled for use in 167 cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Tianjin, and several others. You also get water resistance, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, steps counter, sedentary reminder, call and message notification. The device also comes with weather forecast feature and alarm clock.
Vivo is definitely a midrange machine in this period. Right after launching the Y95 in the Philippines, it announced the new Vivo Z1 Lite which is a sort of cheaper variant of the V9 for the Chinese market. Design
Vivo Z1 Lite beats almost the whole concurrency with its wonderful design. It has a display with very narrow bezels and a minimal notch, as well as a reflective glass back which is also available in a very elegant gradient hue (Aurora Blue). The second place goes to Honor 8C, while Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is definitely less beautiful with its full metal unibody design.
Display
Honor 8C loses the display comparison as its resolution is only HD, while Vivo Z1 Lite wins again for having a Full HD+ resolution, a larger diagonal and narrower bezels. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro has a smaller panel which is more suitable for one-handed use. And it features a Full HD+ resolution as well.
Specs & Software
Huawei Honor 8C has the most powerful and recent SoC, so it should be the best one in terms of performance and efficiency, especially if we consider that it has to manage a display with a lower resolution. We are talking about the new Snapdragon 632 chipset which is a toned down version of the Snapdragon 636 found on devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. However, note that Vivo Z1 Lite comes with max 32 GB of internal storage, while Huawei Honor 8C and Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro have 64 GB variants. All of these devices have a customized Android version: Funtouch OS for the Z1, EMUI for Honor 8C and MIUI for Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro. But the latter has an international version called Mi A2 Lite with Android One.
Camera
The most convincing rear camera is the dual setup of the Honor 8C thanks to a brighter aperture which should allow capturing more light. On the other hand, Vivo Z1 Lite is a more interesting smartphone for selfies thanks to its 16 MP front camera which also supports important AI-based features. Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro has a below-average dual camera which is just sufficient for the price range, and its front camera did not convince us as well.
Battery
The battery is the strongest point of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro. It features a huge 4000 mAh unit paired with one of the most efficient chipsets in the market: the Snapdragon 625. This battery allows achieving a very long battery life: it can last up to two days on a single charge even with a stressed use. But Huawei Honor 8C has a 4000 mAh as well, and it also features a display with a low resolution besides a very efficient SoC. So it can last a bit more in most of the scenarios. Vivo Z1 Lite has a way smaller battery which does not allow it to take part in this fight.
Price
Vivo Z1 Lite just debuted in China with a price tag of €140/$160, Huawei Honor 8C is sold at about €170/$191 and Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro ranges from €160/$180 to €200/$225 depending on the channel. Even though it has a worse display, I think Honor 8C is currently the phone with the best value for money due to its good camera department, balanced specs, and very long battery life. But there are very marginal differences between these devices, so, whichever you choose, you will make a good choice.
Samsung will unveil its next flagship phones, the Galaxy S10 series in less than five months. And as the date draws closer, so also do the leaks about the devices increase. Fresh details about the Galaxy S10 have surfaced and they reveal some key specs of the phone.
The details were shared on Twitter by Evan Blass (@evleaks) and they cover the display, cameras, and even the phone’s user interface.
The Galaxy S10 will have a hole in its display for the selfie camera. In Evan’s words, it features a “Punch hole” style selfie camera cutout. Going by this, we are pretty sure the phone will make use of the Infinity O display unveiled at the developer conference last week.
Few preliminary Galaxy S10 details:
– "Punch hole" style selfie cam cutout (sounds like Infinity-O display). – Ultrasonic, in-display FPS – Three rear cameras (standard/wide/tele) – One UI over Android Pie
The hole in the display isn’t the only thing you should look forward to. Evan also said the Galaxy S10 will sport an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. We can all agree Samsung is late to the party but better late than never, right? Galaxy S8/S8+/Note8 users who plan to upgrade next year can rest assured that the fingerprint scanner is no longer in an awkward position.
Another big info revealed by Evan Blass is related to the camera. The Galaxy S10 will have three cameras on the rear just like the Galaxy A7 (2018) however, the sensors will be different. Unlike the Galaxy A7 which has a wide + ultrawide + depth sensor arrangement, the S10 will have a standard + wide + telephoto setup. This is the same arrangement Huawei adopted for the P20 Pro.
The major aim of Xiaomi‘s smart home brand is to create a connected home where all the gadgets interact and can be controlled from a central hub. The company’s product catalogue already includes several smart home gadgets and each day, more gets added, some under the crowdfunding platform. The latest is the Tinymu smart toilet seat cover with artificial intelligence and Xiaomi’s XiaoAI voice assistance.
This isn’t the first smart toilet seat cover that Xiaomi is launching. It is actually the third of such products. There is the Tinymu smart cover with a lesser 1,199 yuan price tag and a Tinymu smart toilet cover lite priced at 799 yuan. This new version is obviously an upgraded version of the first model with the stand out feature being the artificial intelligence feature as well as the voice assistant. Unfortunately, XiaoAI assistant is still adapted for Chinese speakers only and is yet to get support for English language or any other language. So that function will only be available in Chinese. The voice assistance feature lets users control the gadget using voice prompts to activate certain functions like flushing, switch on the seat heater etc. The smart toilet seat can also be connected to the MIJIA app which will let users control the app. The device also supports wristband user identification for Mi Band series users. Thus, it actively adjusts to your personalized settings (washing position, water temperature, water flow intensity, etc.) without having to adjust the settings repeatedly.
In terms of design, the Tinymu smart toilet seat has an ergonomic 3D curved seat design which is used to make the sitting posture more comfortable. For those who spend so much time on the toilet seat, it will beep when it is seated for 30 minutes. In addition, the seat ring has 3 speeds that can be adjusted to prevent low-temperature burning. The operator panel has a simple interface and has Braille prompts for visually challenged users. In addition, the ceramic heater comes with a dual heating module which is used to instantly heat the cold water to a comfortable temperature, adjust the position of the 11-step nozzle, and cooperate with the reciprocating cleaning mode to expand the clear range and clean more thoroughly. The seat surface comes with imported polyethylene ultrafiltration membrane filter with an effective inhibition rate of 99.9% against E. coli and also solve the risk of contact cross infection. There is an imported deodorant fan which immediately absorbs the unpleasant smell after the user stands up.
The Tinymu Smart Toilet seat cover AI version is priced at 1299 yuan and is presently available under crowdfunding. It is expected to start shipping on December 26.
The Honor 10 Lite is scheduled for a November 21 release and will bring the total number of Honor 10 phones to three ( including the Honor 10, Honor 10 GT). Ahead of its release, the device has been spotted on TENAA (images only). Another leak has also surfaced that reveals there will be a special edition called the Honor 10 Lite Supreme.
[envira-gallery id=”222503″]
The TENAA listings are for three different variants with model numbers HRY-AL00a, HRY-AL00, and HRY-TL00. All three have the same design save for their colors. The AL00a and TL00 models are black while the AL00 version has a chrome red finish.
[envira-gallery id=”222500″]
The Honor Lite will have dual rear cameras arranged vertically and with a separate housing. Below the sensors is a LED flash and in the middle of the phone sits a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The power button and the volume rocker are on the right side of the phone.
[envira-gallery id=”222502″]
Leaked press images have also surfaced of a special edition variant of the Honor 10 Lite which will launch as the Honor 10 Lite Supreme. It turns out that Honor is partnering with American skateboarding and clothing brand Supreme.
It’s no secret that LG’s smartphone division has been struggling for quite a few years now. Despite toying with new ideas and excellent offerings like the LG G7 ThinQ, and even the LG V30, the arch-rival of Samsung has failed to make its mark in the mobile market. Now, rumours are that the Korean smartphone maker might fuse its two flagship series – the G series and the V – into one. Echoes of these rumours were heard earlier in the year as well but now there seems to be some evidence to back it up.
As per a report by LetsGoDigital, five V series trademarks ranging from V50 to V90 were unearthed from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office as the company has sought approval of these monikers. The LG V90 moniker, in particular, was also trademarked in Mexico in July. Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean that LG will be combining the two flagship ranges but the sheer amount of trademarks hint that it is a possibility. The other possibility is that LG continues its way with the current lineup. And the way in which the company has been churning out V series variants, it’s only a matter of time before it requires these trademarks.
Of course, combining the G and V series makes more sense since there isn’t much of a differentiating factor between the two and merging them would help sales figures. For now, this is all speculation and there are no concrete details as to what the troubled smartphone giant has in store for the future of its flagship devices. The company’s latest flagship device is the LG V40 ThinQ rocking five cameras.
The year is almost at an end which means the leak taps will soon be turned on in full force ahead of CES 2019 and MWC 2019. ASUS seems to have a number of products in development and details of some of them have leaked online.
The leaks come from Roland Quandt and it includes upcoming phones and a Chrome OS tablet. According to him, ASUS will soon launch a new Zenfone phone with model number ZB634KL which will have a triple camera setup on the rear.
ASUS ZenFone ZB634KL should launch "SOON" ™. Comes with triple cam setup on rear.
Russian tech blog, Mobiletelefon, said the phone is definitely the successor to the Zenfone Max Pro (M1) based on the first two alphabets of the model number (ZB) which is the same as that of the Max Pro (ZB601KL). The site adds that the figure“63” in the model number means it will have a 6.3-inch screen while the alphabets “K” and “L” indicate a Snapdragon processor and 4G LTE respectively. As it stands, the ASUS ZB634KL should launch as the Zenfone Max Pro (M2).
And the last one: "it should launch "SOON" alongside with ZB631KL & ZB633KL, aka Zenfone Max Pro (M2) and Zenfone Max (M2). Still no signs of ZB632KL.
But that isn’t the only Max phone in development. There is also the ASUS ZB632KL which has a triple camera setup too as well as the ZB631KL and ZB633KL. The ZB633KL is presumed to be the Zenfone Max (M2).
The ASUS ZB634KL is believed to be the successor to the Zenfone Max Pro (M1)
Apart from the phones, ASUS is also working on a Chrome OS tablet and we are not surprised. After the launch of the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 and the Pixel Slate, we know it is only a matter of time before other manufacturers jump on the train. Also, seeing as Android tablets sales keep plummetting every year, Chrome OS may be the way to go.
Don't be surprised when ASUS launches what I think is its first Chrome OS tablet ~10inch screen. Could be one of the devices we get to see at #CES2019.
Chrome OS brings a number of features that are of benefits to both the manufacturer and the user. First, the OS is the same on all devices irrespective of the manufacturer. There are no custom skins like you have on Android phones, so the UI is consistent.

As the 11.11 Singles’s Day sale is over, now its time for companies to calculate the profits out of total sales. Well, as from initial findings it has been made clear that Apple iPhone was mostly sold at Singles’ Day sale. As according to the report, Alibaba has made sales worth $31 billion in a single day, most of the sales were led by Chinese firms like Huawei, Xiaomi, and others. Though, as per the new in-depth report, it is found that Apple led most of the sales in the smartphones category this year.
Actual number and facts are not present but it is confirmed that Apple’s iPhones were among the top smartphones which gathered a huge number of sales. Apple’s competitor, Samsung stood on 8th place in the number of sales, while Huawei managed to stand 2nd which is followed by Xiaomi at 3rd spot. Interestingly, Xiaomi gained $575 million sales in a single day, roughly converting to 3 billion yuan.
Unlike Apple, Xiaomi managed to rake up sales in the budget smartphone category. Even Xiaomi’s home products catered to its historical sales at this year’s Singles day event.
On the other hand, Samsung is struggling to find some good place in the Chinese market. The Korean giant is meddling with a continuous decline in China. Recently, a new report spilled some beans on the 1% market share of Samsung in China. It has considerably dipped from top most selling smartphone maker to the bottom. We think it has happened due to the competitive domestic players which are offering similar devices at much fewer prices.
It is a good news for Apple, as the Cupertino giant was seen struggling in making profits in Q3, 2018 around the Globe. We hope this would gradually help Apple to maintain good profit records.
Well, did you managed to buy a new Apple iPhone at Singles Day sale?

In April this year, Xiaomi had launched the Mi 8 flagship phone. It is likely that the Chinese manufacturer may announce the Mi 9 phone with topnotch specs by the same time in the coming year. Well-known tipster and designer Benjamin Geskin has shared a render of the next year’s flagship phone from the company along with its probable specifications.
The render of the Xiaomi Mi 9 shared by Geskin shows that it will be sporting a smaller notch than the recently released Xiaomi’s notched smartphones. The leakster has speculated that the Mi 9 could be equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen that will be equipped with an under-display fingerprint reader.
The back panel of the phone is fitted with a vertical triple camera setup. An LED flash is placed between the first two camera sensors. It may feature 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 as the primary sensor of the triple camera unit. Related rumors have claimed that the Mi 9 could be coming with 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 16-megapixel triple camera system.
The smartphone is rumored to be fueled by the upcoming Snapdragon 8150 chipset and 6 GB / 8 GB RAM. The highest configuration edition of the smartphone may feature 10 GB of RAM. It could be featuring a 3,700mAh battery with Quick Charge 5.0 support. The glass rear of the phone will allow it to support wireless charging. Lastly, the tipster claims that the Mi 9 may go official as a 5G smartphone. The leak does not contain any information on the pricing of the smartphone.
Before launching the Xiaomi Mi 9, the Chinese manufacturer is expected to announce the 5G edition of the Mi MIX 3. Xiaomi has already confirmed that it will be launching the Mi MIX 3 5G version in China by the end of Q1 2019. Probably this phone may carry improved specs compared to the Mi MIX 3 that was announced recently.
