Samsung finally seems to be ready to launch its first-ever tri-fold smartphone. According to a new report from South Korea, this long-awaited device could launch as soon as Q3 2025. This timeframe fits perfectly with Samsung’s usual release cycle for foldables, which means the tri-fold could launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
If this report holds true, Samsung is officially stepping into the tri-fold game to compete with Huawei’s Mate XT.
According to the report, Samsung’s tri-fold will unfold into a massive 9.9″ to 10″ screen, meaning it will offer a tablet-like functionality that fits in your pocket. What’s cool is that the device is expected to have a unique folding mechanism that protects the display when it’s folded—something Huawei’s Mate XT doesn’t do.
Although, I have to admit I’m a bit concerned about the weight and bulk of Samsung’s tri-fold. It took Samsung several of generations to figure out how to slim the foldable down, which they have partially achieved with the South Korea exclusive Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.
There’s no word on the adoption of the Si/C battery tech for the upcoming Galaxy foldables, so it will be difficult to maintain a slim form factor similar to the one from Huawei without sacrificing the battery capacity. A total of four foldable devices are expected from Samsung
Production is set to kick off in Q2 2025, and Samsung is reportedly limiting the first run to just 200,000 units. That’s not a lot, so if you’re already intrigued, you might want to start saving up now.

According to Weibing, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will make its debut shortly after the Chinese Spring Festival, which begins at the end of January. He confirmed that the smartphone would be available for global sale simultaneously with its launch in China. While he didn’t disclose the exact launch date, his statements hint at the possibility of the 15 Ultra being showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, an event scheduled for late February. Unfortunately, he did not reveal anything about the 15 Ultra’s specifications.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will retain the signature circular camera module seen in its predecessor. A periscope telephoto lens is cleverly integrated into the upper-right corner of the module, accompanied by three additional lenses arranged below. The smartphone will feature a 2K micro-curved display with ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, offering a visually immersive and secure experience.
At its core, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will house the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for seamless performance. It is expected to be priced under $500, which makes it a direct competitor to the upper mid-range Android phones. According to Bloomberg, the iPhone SE 4 could support Apple Intelligence, a premium feature currently exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 16 series.

So the chipset will yet again be one of the main upgrades in the iPhone SE 4. The new chip is rumored to be paired with 8GB RAM, a major upgrade over the iPhone SE (2022).
What else to expect from the iPhone SE 4?

It is likely that Apple will skip a few cutting-edge AI features to make the more expensive models stand out. But it’s still expected to drive people from the Android ecosystem to Apple’s, especially considering the rumored sub-$500 price tag.

On the front, the phone is expected to offer a notch that makes it look similar to the iPhone 14. But let’s be honest: do you really expect Dynamic Island from Apple within the sub-$500 price bracket? If so, then you’ll have to look for an Android alternative.
Asus appears to be expanding its ROG Phone 9 series with a new variant, the ROG Phone 9 FE, potentially a more affordable “Fan Edition.” Certifications in Malaysia (SIRIM) and Thailand (NBTC) reveal the model number “ASUS_AI2401_N,” confirming its existence and possible launch in these regions soon. Potential Specifications
While official details remain scarce, the ROG Phone 9 FE may feature similar to the ROG Phone 8 features as the ROG Phone 8, due to the similarities in their model numbers (ROG Phone 8 has AI2501C model number). With that in mind, we can expect the ROG Phone 9 FE to arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, rather than the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip which powers the rest of the ROG Phone 9 lineup. This suggests the FE variant will have slightly reduced performance to offer a more budget-friendly price point.

Asus is likely to retain signature ROG Phone features in the FE model, such as the AirTrigger button, AeroActive cooling accessories, and advanced heat dissipation systems. It will be interesting to see if the device ends up getting the Anime vision display on the back or not.
