Pixel 9 series’ exclusive camera features Coming to Older Pixels

Google‘s flagship smartphones typically introduce exclusive camera features, and this year is no exception. However, these features often make their way to older Pixel devices through software updates. According to a report from Android Authority, several exclusive features of the Google Pixel 9 series will soon be available on older Pixels including the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, and Pixel 8.

Pixel 9’s Reimagine and Auto Frame feature could be rolled out to those devices

In collaboration with Android Authority, Assemble Debug discovered evidence in the Google Photos app indicating that the Reimagine and Auto Frame features will be rolled out to the older Pixel models. Notably, it remains unclear whether the more affordable A-series Pixels will receive these updates or not.

For those unfamiliar, Reimagine allows users to modify textures, colors, or materials in photos. For example, Google AI can change the appearance of elements like trees or skies. Meanwhile, Auto Frame uses AI to automatically suggest improved photo composition by analyzing image content.

Currently, Google Photos has three versions with varying configurations. The basic version is available on all Android devices, while the other two are exclusive to Pixel devices. One caters to Pixels launched between 2021 and 2023 (Pixel 6 to Pixel 8), and the other serves the Pixel 9 series launched in 2024.

The Google Photos app on Pixel 9 series devices includes code related to the Reimagine and Auto Frame features. According to Assemble Debug, these features have now appeared in the latest Google Photos app version (6.99) for Pixel models launched between 2021 and 2023. This suggests that Google is planning to roll out these camera and editing features to older Pixels soon.

Unfortunately, the relevant code strings are not yet present in the Google Photos app for non-Pixel devices, which suggests that other Android devices won’t receive these updates anytime soon.

Realme Pad 2 Lite vs Redmi Pad SE: Which Budget Tablet is Better?

Earlier today (13th September 2024), Realme unveiled a brand new budget tablet in India. The Realme Pad 2 Lite dropped with a tall screen with an affordable price tag. But how does it compare to Xiaomi’s Redmi Pad SE? So let’s find out which one’s better.

Realme Pad 2 Lite vs Redmi Pad SE
Realme Pad 2 Lite vs Redmi Pad SE

1. Realme Pad 2 Lite vs Redmi Pad SE: Design & Display

Despite both tablets being budget friendly offerings, the two models have a premium design. The Realme Pad 2 Lite arrives with a vegan leather finish, which isn’t too common in the tablet segment. On the other hand, the Redmi Pad SE offers an aluminum back and aluminum frames. Since design is subjective, the better pick would be based on personal preference.

Moving to the front, the Redmi Pad SE sports a tall 11-inch LCD panel with a FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Meanwhile, the Realme Pad 2 Lite sports a 10.95-inch display, which offers 2K resolution and a 90Jz refresh rate. It also has a peak brightness of 450 nits. So the Pad 2 Lite undoubtedly has a better screen as it offers a higher resolution. On such tall displays, resolution is quite important.

2. Specifications

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Pad SE with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 SoC, while Realme went with MediaTek. The Pad 2 Lite is equipped with the Helio G99 SoC. In terms of overall performance, the Helio G99 is faster than the SD680. But users shouldn’t see a massive difference in day to day use. The Redmi Pad SE also offers up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Realme also offers 8GB of RAM on its higher configuration, but maxes out at 256GB for storage.

Realme’s offering has a microSD card slot for up to 1TB of storage expansion. A massive 8,300mAh battery pack powers the Realme Pad 2 Lite, which supports 15W wired fast charging. This is slightly bigger than Redmi Pad SE’s 8,000mAh cell and standard 10W standard charging. Realme’s new tablet runs on the Android 14 OS out of the box, but the Pad SE features Android 13 OS.

For optics, the Redmi Pad SE has an 8-megapixel rear facing camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. Realme Pad 2 Lite features a similar 8-megapixel sensor on the rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both models house a quad stereo speaker setup.

3. Pricing and Verdict

Looking at the pricing, there is a noticeable difference between the budget tablets. The Redmi Pad SE starts from 12,999 INR, while the Realme Pad 2 Lite costs 14,999 INR. If you’re on a tight budget, the Redmi Pad SE is definitely a good pick. But the newer OS, slightly better performance, and higher resolution display makes the Realme Pad SE a better option overall.

TECNO Phantom V Fold 2 Review: The Best Choice For Your First Foldable!

It is an exciting year for foldables, isn’t it? And now we have the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 here, it is the second generation in this lineup, and you will be surprised by how great-looking this phone is, and the powerful performance it has. Let’s check them out together in this review.

Design

So first of all, we have to talk about the brilliant design of this phone. Tecno works with LOEWE this time, and LOEWE is really good at designing and making luxurious stuff, and this Rippling Blue colorway I have in my hand is another masterpiece. Unlike some other foldables that are too sophisticated, this design is very refreshing, and when you look closely at the vegan leather texture, it really feels like watching the water flowing.

Unlike the more rounded off frames and outer screen, the camera module however, has this squared island, and the edges are smoothened. One thing to mention here though, every part on the surface is symmetrical, like the antennas, the speakers and Mics, the wordings. Isn’t it satisfying? So overall, this phone looks nice and unique, if you are tired of the average-looking smartphone, and you want to try something vibrant, this is the one you should get.

Build Quality

Right now, people always talk about the thickness and the hinges of the foldables, so how about those on this phone? At a glance, this phone is not particularly thin, but still be able to keep a relatively slim body, when folded, the phone remains completely shut, and there is no gap in between. If you look from the side, the mellow curve is more appealing, and it also creates a more secure hold. When unfolded, it still shows a very thin profile, and again, since the corners are more gentle, it provides a comfortable feel on both hands.

The hinge is still very smooth, you can easily open the phone and then make it stand at almost any angle, but not at the last bit. But still, you can do those typical foldable phone stuff, with a good hovering angle. When it’s unfolded, the hinge remains flat, and so is the inner screen, the crease is barely noticeable.

Screen

Like its predecessor, there is also a 3D half-curved outer screen there, and it’s at the side where the buttons are, so if you tend to use the phone with your right hand, the gesture control will favor you more. It is a 6.42” AMOLED screen, 21:9 ratio, it supports 120Hz refresh rate, the maximum brightness is 1600 nits, and it has 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, so it is already a flagship level screen by all means. Now the inner screen is a 7.85” large one, with almost the same specs as the outer screen.

Of course you can have that typical foldable phone screen experience here, like browsing the internet and your favorite social media, watching a movie with a larger screen. If you are looking for your first foldable, this could be your choice.

User Experience

When we talk about the user experience, I really want to get into this pen first. You see, this pen comes in a dark color and a rubber case for it, convenient.

Once it’s connected to the phone by Bluetooth, there will be a menu button floating at either side of the screen, and when the pen is close to it, it will hover to let you pick a specific feature. Whether you want to take a quick note, or you want to take a screenshot then put some words on it. And you can circle on any word on the screen, then have a translation right away, this can be very useful when you try to read some articles. Lastly, you can also circle and cut a desired picture on the screen. One of the buttons can be used as the remote for taking pictures, and if you want to do things quicker, they can also be used to do all the things we mentioned, with a long press to activate them. The other button is dedicated for AI features.

The pen really does not have any latency when writing and drawing, and it is pressure-sensitive, so you can really do fine drawing in the notepad app. The gesture control is also very smooth on the pen. So I must say this pen really boosts creativity.

As usual, some other productivity features are also available here, such as the split screen, it claims that the top 1000 apps are supported for the split screen mode and multi-windows mode, and changing the ratio is very easy, 16:9 or 4:3. There are still the dock bar at the bottom and the quick window at the side, so things you want to do are just within your reach.

In terms of AI features, Tecno has some interesting approaches. There are the AI eraser, AI photo editing. And AI can help you translate a phone call in real time, summarize a call, etc. Also the only feature Tecno has, the Universal Tone, it can accurately capture different skin tones with AI, so in diverse cultural areas, this is very precious.

Cameras

Like the Fold 1, the camera system consists of a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2x telephoto. The good news is that the pixel density of the ultra-wide-angle camera has been upgraded to 50MP. The photos it takes are great most of the time. The color style tends to be highly saturated, and the HDR strength is very strong. All three cameras can capture all the details of the object in sufficient light. There is no excessive sharpening algorithm, which is the type I appreciate.

The night scene performance is also excellent, especially in the Super Night Mode, which provides you with an option different from the Auto mode. Night scene photos taken in Auto mode will have a stronger HDR effect. The dark part of the photos taken in Super Night Mode will be darker, and the advantage is that this can better reflect the atmosphere of the night. If I have to pick a few problems, the first one must be that the 2x telephoto does not have OIS. It does increase the probability of blurring your photos in low light, but I generally don’t use telephoto to shoot in a very dark environment, so it’s not a big problem for me.

Performance

So the V fold 2 has the Dimensity 9000+ 5G chip, 12GB+512GB. It is a good chip, and for daily multi-tasking, it is more than capable of running everything buttery smooth, when we tested it in Genshin Impact, I would say it can handle the game pretty well, and you have a larger field view, the phone still gets a little bit warm, but it is already among the best in this market.

Other than the chip, it comes with a 5750mAh battery, 70W fast charger, and 15W wireless charge, it takes about 40mins to fully charge this battery.

Verdict

Alright, this is the review of the Phantom V Fold 2, it is a really good choice for people who are looking for their first foldable. Not only because it has this LOEWE co-branded design, but also for what you would get as the whole package. Everything is designed for productivity and convenience, with the help of the pen, all the tasks become easy and smooth. Currently we still don’t know about the price, but based on the previous gen, I think it still can be very friendly. So if you are interested in this one, head to the link down below for more info. This is Will from Gizmochina, see you next time!

Xiaomi Pad 7, Pad 7 Pro screen size revealed; the company is sticking with LCD panels

Xiaomi is expected to launch the Pad 7 series of flagship tablets soon. The device recently received 3C certification in China, confirming its charging capabilities. The standard Pad 7 will support 45W charging, while the Pad 7 Pro will feature 67W charging.

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has now revealed the screen size of these upcoming tablets. Both the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro are said to feature an 11.16-inch LCD screen.

This is only slightly larger than the 11-inch screen on the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. However, besides all the rumors, it’s disappointing that Xiaomi still isn’t upgrading to OLED panels this year.

Moreover, according to previous leaks, both tablets will be powered by high-performance Qualcomm processors. The Xiaomi Pad 7 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, while the Pad 7 Pro will likely come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The Pad 7 series will run on HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, and is expected to pack a 10,000mAh battery.

It is also likely that the brand sticks to a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. It is unclear if Xiaomi will offer 5G/cellular connectivity on these tablets. That said, you will possibly get WiFi 7 support, and a USB Type C 3.2 port is also expected to be present for fast data transfers.

Additionally, the Pad 7 series tablets are likely to be compatible with the Xiaomi SU7 car. This functionality includes rear-seat control and entertainment options, such as adjusting the passenger seat, air conditioning, and navigating routes, making it an advanced tool for in-car use.

Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi 15 series in the fourth week of October in China, and the Pad 7 series, along with other ecosystem products, may debut alongside the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro.

OnePlus 13: What’s Coming in the Next-Gen Flagship Phone

With Qualcomm gearing up to launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, OnePlus is expected to be the first brand to launch a flagship smartphone with its high-end chipset. The device in question is the OnePlus 13, which has recently surfaced in various rumors and reports. So here’s a comprehensive preview of what’s coming in the new premium phone.

1. OnePlus 13: Design & Display

Oppo Find X8 Ultra, Pro, OnePlus 13 display design
OnePlus 13 Display

While we still don’t have an official look at the OnePlus 13, it will likely feature a premium design like its predecessor. To recall, the OnePlus 12 launched with a Gorilla Glass back on the rear and an aluminum frame. So we can expect a similar design to the OnePlus 13. The rear should also pack a large circular camera island on the back. Similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus 13 would likely feature an IP rating for water and dust resistance (possibly IP69/69 rating).

On the front, OnePlus is reportedly supplying the BOE X2 displays. The screen will have a micro-curvature design on all four sides. In other words, the display will blend the advantages of flat and curved displays. The OnePlus 13 is expected to sport a tall 6.8-inch 8T LPTO OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution (3160 x 1440 pixels). There will likely be an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display.

2. Specifications

OnePlus 12
OnePlus 12

Under the hood, the upcoming flagship phone is confirmed to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. The OnePlus 13 recently surfaced on the GeekBench platform, achieving 3,236 and 10,049 points in the single core and multi core tests respectively. This processor is paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. On GeekBench, the device was listed with 16GB of RAM.

OnePlus 13 is expected to run on the Android 15 OS based ColorOS 15 out of the box. While the OnePlus 12 packs a sizeable 5,400mAh battery pack, the next-gen flagship is rumored to feature a massive 6,000mAh cell. This is a pretty big battery and the OnePlus 13 could also support 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The premium phone is believed to feature the O916T haptic motor, which is the same vibrator motor found in the OnePlus 12.

3. Camera

OnePlus is expected to pack a 50-megapixel LYT808 primary camera on the back. This sensor may be coupled with a 50-megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter that offers 3x optical zoom and higher hybrid zoom. For selfies and video calls, rumors hint at a 32-megapixel shooter on the front. Going by the current trend, the brand might employ more AI powered features in the camera app.

4. Launch Date

Qualcomm is set to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset during the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2024. This event will take place between 21st October to 23rd October 2024 in Maui, Hawaii. OnePlus is rumored to also take the stage during this major conference to unveil its next gen flagship phone. So the OnePlus 13 announcement might be next month, with sales kicking off soon after.

Meizu has a “star-track” design phone in works

Meizu seems to be gearing up to launch a new affordable smartphone in its home country China. The usually reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station (DCS), has revealed the device on Weibo.

The tipster refers to the phone as the Meizu “Lucky 08” and has also shared images showing it in two color options: Black and White. But what’s really unique about this guy is its camera design.

Unlike the ubiquitous rectangular camera humps dominating the market, the Lucky 08 features a distinctive design with one camera seemingly orbiting the other, set against an interesting radiating background. DCS calls it a star-track design.

While details on the camera specifications remain under wraps, the leaks suggest the Lucky 08 is said to have a sizable 6,000mAh battery. Additionally, the phone is expected to retain the Flyme AIOS features found on Meizu’s flagship devices.

However, being a budget device, it will likely show some compromises. The tipster suggests the Lucky 08 will feature a plastic frame with flat edges. The phone, however, will still have narrow and symmetrical bezels on the front.

Meizu-Lucky-08-Design-2

There’s no official word on when or where Meizu will launch the smartphone. But with live photos already circulating, a September or October release seems likely.

It’s surprising that Meizu is continuing with smartphone launches even after announcing it was exiting the market earlier this year. Since the announcement, the company has already released at least five phones, if not more.

Meizu is also expected to launch the M20, its first M-series phone in five years. It seems the company is reviving its old lineup rather than leaving the smartphone market. So, what was all the fuss about earlier this year?

Realme unveils budget-friendly Pad 2 Lite in India

Realme today announced a new budget tablet in India, the Pad 2 Lite. Unveiled alongside the Realme P2 Pro 5G smartphone, the tablet focuses on delivering the essentials for a competitive price point. Let’s go through its details here.

Under the hood, the Pad 2 Lite runs on the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, a familiar choice in the budget segment. It’s paired with an ARM Mali GPU for graphics.

The tablet’s camera setup is also quite modest. It features an 8MP sensor on the rear and a 5MP front-facing camera. While not ideal for photography enthusiasts, it should suffice for basic video calls and document scanning.

Here’s a first look at Samsung’s Galaxy S25: Next-Gen Flagship Phone’s Full Design Revealed

We finally have a proper look at Samsung‘s next-gen flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25. The device is the brand’s upcoming flagship model, which will likely launch at the start of next year. The full design of the smartphone is revealed in these new renders. So let’s check it out.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Renders

Samsung Galaxy S25

The renders were shared via AndroidHeadlines and OnLeaks. Looking at the images, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 isn’t bringing any major redesign over its predecessor. The rear and sides still appear to be flat with the back featuring a vertically stacked triple camera setup. However, the cameras can be seen with textured rings around them. Meanwhile, the front retains a flat display with a punch hole cutout with slim bezels that might be uniform throughout.

While the screen size isn’t confirmed, it appears to be similar to the Galaxy S24’s 6.2-inch panel. The report adds that the new Galaxy S25 measures 146.9 x 70.4 x 7.2mm, which makes it smaller and around 0.4mm thinner than the Galaxy S24. So it might weigh the same if not lighter than last year’s flagship. Based on what we know so far, Samsung may launch the Galaxy S25 with an Exynos and Snapdragon chipset like last year. However, rumors have hinted at Snapdragon being the sole chipset on the 2025 Galaxy flagship.

Samsung Galaxy S25

The S25 could also pack 12GB of RAM, getting a 4GB bump over the S24. It is unlikely that this model will get any notable upgrade, so it could retain the 50MP primary camera on the rear and a 12MP selfie shooter on the front. Samsung is expected to pack this model with a 4,000mAh battery pack once again, which would likely support 25W wired fast charging. We can expect it to run on the Android 15 OS based One UI 7 custom skin out of the box.

Realme P2 Pro 5G With 120Hz Curved Display, 80W Charging Launched In India

Realme launched a new smartphone and a tablet today in India. The former is the latest offering in the brand’s P-series. It is dubbed the Realme P2 Pro 5G. The device seems to be the successor to the P1 Pro that debuted earlier in April this year. This is because it packs upgraded specifications. Read on to know what the Realme P2 Pro 5G offers out of the box.

Realme P2 Pro 5G specs

Realme P2 Pro 5G

The Realme P2 Pro 5G comes with a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display. It features an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and support for Pro-XDR. The smartphone is said to be durable with Gorilla Glass and a strong middle frame. It is claimed to survive drops up to 1.65m. Design-wise, the Realme P2 Pro 5G flaunts a slim profile with a middle frame and squircle camera island accentuated by Gold colors.

In terms of imaging, the Realme P2 Pro’s dual camera setup comprises the 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor with OIS support and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 32MP snapper on the front.

Honor’s latest mid-range phone is launching next week in India

Honor today confirmed the upcoming launch of the Honor 200 Lite smartphone in India. It’s scheduled for release in the country on September 19th but has already been launched in the European market in April.

The company also teased some of the features along with the announcement. Let’s go through it.

Honor 200 Lite Specifications

The phone will have a triple-camera setup on the rear boasting a 108MP main sensor with an f/1.75 aperture, an ultrawide with an f/2.2 aperture, and a macro with an f/2.4 aperture. Although the company has not specified, the latter two are 5MP and 2MP sensors.

Honor says the phone is “specialized in portraits” and can handle “1x Environmental Portrait, 2x Atmospheric Portrait, and 3x Close-up Portrait” scenarios.

For selfies, the phone gets a 50MP front camera. This camera also has AI Wide-angle Selfie functionality that automatically adjusts to a 90° field of view to ensure everyone gets included in group selfies. Additionally, a Selfie Light is included for well-lit front-facing photos even in low-light situations.

Beyond the cameras, Honor touts the phone’s sleek and durable design. The Honor 200 Lite measures a mere 6.78mm in thickness and weighs just 166g.

The company claims the phone is built to withstand everyday wear and tear, earning an SGS 5-star Drop Resistance certification for added peace of mind.

Honor is mum on the rest of the details, but the phone is powered by a Dimensity 6080 chip and runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android. It is fueled via a 4500mAh battery with support for 35W charging.

Xiaomi confirms September 26 launch for 14T series, renders leak details

Xiaomi has officially announced the global launch date for its upcoming 14T smartphone series. The Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro are scheduled to be unveiled on September 26, continuing the company’s focus on powerful mid-range devices with premium camera experiences.

This launch confirms Xiaomi’s ongoing partnership with Leica, following the successful collaboration on the Xiaomi 13T series. Both the 14T and 14T Pro will boast co-engineered Leica lenses and color science.

Xiaomi 14T Series launch confirmed

Xiaomi’s press release specifically mentions “cinematic artistry and humanistic photography” hinting at new Leica color profiles for the phone.

Xiaomi 14T / 14T Pro renders leak

Adding fuel to the pre-launch hype, full renders of both smartphones have leaked online. These images showcase the Xiaomi 14T in four color options, while the 14T Pro appears in three.

As expected, we can also spot the Leica branding emblazoned on the rectangular camera module. Both models will feature a triple-camera setup with a dedicated LED flash. Notably absent is a periscope zoom lens, but that’s usual for Xiaomi T-series.

The leaked renders reveal a curved back panel on the standard 14T, contrasting with the straighter design of the 14T Pro. Both phones maintain the flat-edged chassis design, though.

Further details gleaned from the leaks suggest a 6.67-inch “1.5K” AMOLED display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and 4,000 nits peak brightness for the 14T.

The phones are expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity chipsets — the 14T will use the Dimensity 8300-Ultra and the 14T Pro will leverage the top-of-the-line Dimensity 9300+.

Both models are rumored to boast a generous 12GB of RAM, with the 14T offering 256GB of storage and the 14T Pro doubling that capacity to 512GB.

The camera systems will include a 50MP main sensor on both phones. It will be joined by a 50MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultrawide sensor, with a 32MP selfie camera will complete the package. Both phones are expected to boast IP68 water and dust resistance.

While official pricing is yet to be confirmed, rumors suggest a €649 starting price for the Xiaomi 14T and a €899 price tag for the 14T Pro.

New CUKTECH Power Banks Quick Review: Built-in-Cabled one, or CUKTECH 15 Budget Version – Take Your Pick

CUKTECH CP 253L (PB200N) and 15 SE (PB200N)– The two power banks are our main protagonists from the brand CUKTECH in this review. I would like to thank CUKTECH, as soon as new models were coming out, we were lucky enough to get them for testing and hands-on, which are good. The brand didn’t ask for anything. So you guys can rest assured that the team won’t favor them.

Back to the two power banks, they look familiar with some existing models. But there’s no doubt that both of them have done a great job of optimizing for various usage scenarios. Besides unboxing them, we will also test their actual output power and compatibility along the way. This will also serve as a reference for you to buy. So, let’s start with the big one, which is also the one you might be most interested in.

CUKTECH CP 253L (PB200N)

I don’t know if you guys have ever had this experience: going out for a trip, the power bank is in your backpack, but the charging cable is still lying in your bed. So this design of the CUKTECH CP 253L (PB200N) puts an end to this situation. Because of this USB-C cable, it is definitely the most special existence among all CUKTECH power banks. This built-in cable greatly improves utility while adding little to no burden or waste.

It has a battery capacity of 20,000mAh, maximum output power of 55W, and input power of 40W. There is also a Seven-segment display on the side. Apart from this cable, there is also a Type-C port and a USB-A port. Because the maximum output power of the USB-A port is only 33W, the Type-C port and built-in cable share the same outputs and protocols. So we only need to test the actual output power of this cable to know how powerful it is.

Since this is a test of the CUKTECH power bank, it’s definitely going to use Xiaomi’s devices – the best-accompanied devices. The Xiaomi 14 Pro supports up to 45W charging, which allows the power bank to deliver its full output. After peaking for a short period, its output can be stabilized at over 40W until being fully charged.

In daily use, another premium phone the Vivo X100 Pro, is a great example of a charging-compatible phone. It’s possible to achieve the maximum power that can be delivered to a non-Xiaomi device when using PPS protocols. For the full-charging test, it even surprisingly sticks at over 40W fast output.

As for the iPhone…since many people are using it, we have to test it as well. As expected, it’s also able to activate the full potential of the iPhone 15 Pro – keep 20-25W output for the whole test.

CUKTECH 15 SE (PB200)

Is the CUKTECH 15 SE (PB200) very similar to the CUKTECH 15 power bank? Yes, it is the little brother of CUKTECH 15, and it is a budget/essential version. It still has the same battery capacity of 20,000mAh and a Seven-segment display on the side.

There are still 2*USB-C ports and 1*USB-A port, but the max total output power has been cut from 150W to 85W, and the size has been changed a little bit as well. It got slimmer, so the grip and storage is better than the CUKTECH 15. Specifically, the USB-C1 supports up to 67W output, while for C2 and USB-A ports, the max figures would be 33W.

The 65W output via USB-C1 theoritically is enough to power up the laptop. So, we tested its actual output power when charging the MacBook Pro by the way. As the image shows below, the efficiency with the MacBook Pro was almost reaching its limits and running pretty stable here.

Summarize

I’m glad there are companies like CUKTECH that can make high-power banks in various lines to fit different scenarios and price levels. The specified lineups of new products are highly competitive and widely compatible in the marketplace. CUKTECH balanced portability, high power, and price to make these two products for different target groups. Because of CUKTECH, Xiaomi phone users are one of the luckiest user groups in the world, as they do not need to pay much budget to get excellent power accessories almost the same as the officials’. Even if you are not a Xiaomi user, it has the best compatibility and the most stable performance with all kinds of devices from different brands.

After charger, Apple removes USB-C cable from the box

Following their decision to exclude power adapters from iPhone boxes a few years ago, Apple is taking a further step towards its minimal packaging approach with the new AirPods 4.

The recently announced AirPods 4 wireless earbuds, available in both standard and noise-canceling variants, will ship without a USB-C charging cable in the box.

The information is confirmed on Apple’s official AirPods comparison webpage, which lists “USB-C Charge Cable sold separately” for the AirPods 4 models.

Apple has just completed the switch to USB-C across its devices, and it’s already dropping the supporting cable. Sure, some users might already have a USB-C cable (or ten) lying around.

But what about those upgrading from older devices or new users entering the Apple ecosystem? For them, it means an extra purchase just to get their AirPods charged up and ready to go.

Now, Apple might argue that they’re being environmentally conscious by reducing packaging waste. That’s a fair point, and it’s certainly a trend we can all get behind. But is removing a single cable the most impactful step they could take? Certainly not.

AirPods 4 USB-C Cable Sold Separately

Next up could be the iPhone. The iPhone 16 still ships with a USB-C cable for now, but who knows? At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple also removes the charging case for earphones next.

Apple AirPods 4 Specifications

Despite the lack of a cable, the AirPods 4 themselves boast a range of features. The design stays true to the previous models with a semi-in-ear stem and silicone tips, but Apple claims it offers a more universal fit.

Both versions are IPX4 water-resistant and retain the tap control functionality. Users can now add a head nod for “yes” and a head shake for “no” to manage Siri and calls.

The audio experience receives an upgrade with Personalized Spatial Audio featuring head tracking, promising an immersive listening experience.

The standard AirPods 4 lack ANC, while the premium option integrates the noise cancellation technology previously exclusive to AirPods Pro. Both models offer a “Conversational Mode” to reduce volume while talking, with the ANC version adding Transparency Mode and Adaptive Audio for further user control.

The H2 chip powers both AirPods 4 models, aiming to improve battery life, personalize audio, and facilitate faster pairing. In terms of battery life, Apple claims 30 hours total with the wireless charging compatible case, and 6.5 hours of playback on the earbuds themselves.
