Xiaomi 14T series camera features leaked

Preparations for the Xiaomi 14T series are complete and Xiaomi is expected to launch the new 14T series in the near future. Even if we have limited information about smartphones, new specifications about the devices continue to leak every day. XiaomiTime team has leaked the camera specifications of the Xiaomi 14T series.

The Xiaomi 14T Pro will use the same Omnivision OV50H sensor as the Xiaomi 14. This is a significant improvement compared to the Chinese version of the device, the Redmi K70 Ultra. Because the Redmi K70 Ultra had the Sony IMX906 sensor. Xiaomi is putting a lot of emphasis on the T-series to be sold in the global market and that’s why it’s making some changes at the camera point.

Xiaomi 14T series leaked camera specs

This information is taken from Xiaomi HyperOS, therefore it’s reliable. The Xiaomi 14T series will feature a triple rear camera. The top-of-the-line Xiaomi 14T Pro will come with the Omnivision OV50H camera sensor. This sensor is also found in the Xiaomi 14 model. Xiaomi 14T Pro’s Chinese variant, the Redmi K70 Ultra, was introduced with the IMX906 sensor. This change helps the Xiaomi 14T Pro to take better photos and videos.

Also, the Xiaomi 14T Pro will come with a telephoto camera different from the Chinese version. The Ultra Wide Angle camera of the device is quite different from the Chinese version. The Xiaomi 14T Pro has 50MP Samsung SK5JN1 Telephoto and 13MP Omnivision OV13BUltra Wide Angle sensors. This camera setup shows that the devices were definitely developed in collaboration with Leica.

The Xiaomi 14T has similar camera specifications. Here the only difference is the IMX906 sensor, which is a downgrade compared to the 14T Pro. This camera sensor is also used in the Chinese variant of the Xiaomi 14T Pro. Meanwhile, there are no changes in the telephoto and ultra-wide angle. As for the front camera, we expect both devices to use the Samsung S5KKD1 sensor. XiaomiTime has analyzed this information in depth and you can trust it.

Xiaomi 14T Pro is expected to come with Dimensity 9300+ processor. The regular model Xiaomi 14T is expected to have Dimensity 8300 Ultra. The new 14T series is rumored to be introduced in August with the MIX Flip. However, it should be said that the launch date has not been officially confirmed.

Chromecast with Google TV successor leaks in official render with a new design

Google‘s foray into the streaming device market has been a journey of form factors. From the short-lived Nexus Q sphere to the ubiquitous Chromecast dongle, the company hasn’t shied away from experimentation. Now, it seems Google is ready to shed the dongle life with its upcoming offering, the Google TV Streamer.

Leaked by 9to5Google, the Google TV Streamer has a different design from the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) released in 2020. This new device ditches the dongle format for a more traditional set-top box design.

Visually, the Google TV Streamer takes the form of a large, white pill. Unlike the Chromecast, it’s not designed to be plugged directly into your TV’s HDMI port. Instead, it sits on a table like any other streaming device.

The design features a tilting top section and the back of the device houses two cables, but the specific ports they connect to aren’t shown in the image.

The remote also has some notable changes. It retains a similar layout to the Chromecast with Google TV remote, but it’s now longer to accommodate additional buttons.

You get the circular navigation pad and center button in a familiar layout, but there are now dedicated back and home buttons, with the latter being accented in a grey shade.

A notable change is the replacement of the Google Assistant button with a microphone button. The volume control buttons have also been moved from the side to the front, next to a dedicated mute button.

For convenience, there are quick launch buttons for YouTube and Netflix. The bottom row includes the power button and a customizable Magic button, first seen on Walmart’s Onn Google TV 4K Pro Streaming Device.

Although details on the internal hardware are scarce, the Google TV Streamer is expected to support 4K streaming and run the latest version of Android TV, currently Android TV 14. Google is expected to launch the streaming device at the Made by Google event on August 13th.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim and Tab S10 series to launch at a third Samsung event this year

Samsung typically follows a predictable release schedule every year. Its flagship Galaxy S series launches in the first quarter, followed by a second Unpacked event in the third quarter to unveil the latest foldable models.

We’ve seen a similar launch pattern in 2024 so far. But a new leak suggests Samsung might break the tradition with a possible third event later this year.

Tipster Ice Universe, known for accurate tech leaks, hinted on Weibo about a possible October press conference for Samsung. According to the insider, the event will focus on the launch of the Galaxy Tab S10 series (including the Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra) and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim or the China-exclusive Galaxy W25.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim has been a topic of discussion for some time. As implied by the name, it’s expected to feature a thinner design than the standard Z Fold 6, making it more pocket-friendly.

But to achieve a slimmer form factor, Samsung may need to forgo S-pen compatibility, according to reports. The foldable will likely retain the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor from the new Galaxy Z Fold 6.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is rumored to launch in only a few markets. Ice Universe’s leak suggests it will be released in Korea, while the Chinese market will see it as the Galaxy W25.

The most concrete possibility might be the long-awaited Galaxy Tab S10 series. Rumors about these flagship tablets have been circulating for months now.

The series is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, moving away from Qualcomm’s flagship chip that the company has used for previous Galaxy Tab S series tablets.

It’s important to remain cautious as these are just speculations based on a single leak. Samsung has yet to confirm any details about an October event. However, Ice Universe’s track record lends credibility to this possibility. We’ll keep a close eye on further developments and update this story as more information becomes available.

Minisforum MS-A1 mini PC with up to AMD Ryzen 9000 series, OCULink port, & 96GB of memory launched

The Minisforum MS-A1 mini PC is the latest product unveiled. The MS-A1 has support for up to the AMD Ryzen 9000 series and up to 96GB of storage. The official launch of the Minisforum MS-A1 is coming on the heels of the earlier unveiling of the AMD-based mini PC. The MS-A1 differs from the Intel-based MS-01 as it supports socketed desktop CPUs and an OCULink connection for eGPU functionality.

Minisforum MS A1

The older Minisforum MS-01 is equipped with Intel’s H-series laptop CPUs but the AMD Ryzen 9000 series on the MS-A1 supports desktop-class CPUs. The models include the Ryzen 7 8700G and the Ryzen 5 8600G Phoenix APUs. The AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPUs on the new mini PC will require a BIOS update, according to Minisforum. The maximum TDP of the Ryzen APUs is 65W but when the dual-CCD variants (Ryzen 9 7900X or Ryzen 9 7950X) CPUs will support up to a maximum of 100W TDP. It is noted that this is significantly lower than the officially specified TDPs for those SoCs. Hence, the performance of the CPUs may be lower than what is specified.

The supported AMD Ryzen APUs for the MS-A1 offer sufficiently powerful RDNA 3-based integrated graphics although there is no support for internal discrete GPUs. The GPUs available are the Radeon 780M and Radeon 760M for less intensive graphical tasks. However, if you are interested in heavy-duty graphical operations, external graphics will be required. The MS-A1 has an OCULink port that enables seamless eGPU connection with transfer speeds up to 8Gbps. The OCULink port is significantly faster than the Thunderbolt 4 which peaks at 5Gbps.

Minisforum MS A1

The Minisforum MS-A1 has four M.2 2280 memory slots (up to 96GB) and offers a rich collection of ports. It has two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, an HDMI 2.1 connection, and one DP 2.0 port. It is also equipped with two USB 2.1 and one Type-C port, as well as an audio jack. The MS-A1 however lacks 10G Ethernet connectivity as only a single 2.5G Ethernet port is available.

Pricing & Availability

The barebones version of the Minisforum MS-A1 mini PC is priced at $259. The 32GB+1TB Ryzen 7 8700G version is retailed at $729. Minisforum is offering an introductory discount for the MS-A1 that’s up to $180 currently. More details about the MS-A1 mini PC can be obtained from the Minisforum website.

Huawei Mate 70 series launch delayed until late Q4 due to HarmonyOS NEXT and Kirin chipset challenges

At the HDC 2024 conference, Huawei announced that the Mate 70 series smartphones would be released in the fourth quarter of this year. However, a new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station suggests a potential delay pushing the launch window back to the middle or late fourth quarter, possibly December or later.

This reported delay seems to hinge on the slow adaptation of the new HarmonyOS NEXT operating system and the integration of the latest Kirin 5G SoC.

HarmonyOS NEXT, the official successor to HarmonyOS, was a major highlight of HDC 2024. Its rollout on the Mate 70 series would mark the first official consumer adoption of the new OS. However, ensuring a smooth transition from the current HarmonyOS iteration to NEXT appears to be taking longer than expected.

The new Kirin chip, on the other hand, reportedly uses a new platform and boasts improved technology that may require additional development time for seamless integration with the phone’s hardware.

Additionally, the tipster revealed that the phones will feature a 1.5K LTPO display, an Omnivision OV50K main camera with an ultra-large variable aperture, and an ultra-large silicon battery possibly using silicon negative electrode technology for improved efficiency. For security, Huawei may emphasize 3D face scanning.

Other specs, according to previous reports, include a 3D spatial zoom feature in the cameras and satellite communication support for emergencies.

While the official launch date remains unconfirmed, this delay could give Huawei valuable time to refine the integration of both the new Kirin chipset and HarmonyOS NEXT. This could ultimately result in a more polished user experience upon release, though it means fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the latest Mate iteration.
