Lenovo has officially launched its new flagship gaming laptop the Y9000K 2023. The device comes with top-of-the-line specifications, including an Intel i9-13980HX processor and an Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU, along with an integrated liquid cooling system. Lenovo has announced the Xiaoxin Air 14 2023 laptop with a lightweight design, a 2.8K screen, and a 120Hz display refresh rate. The new Lenovo laptop is thin and weighs just about 1.34kg. It has a thickness between 14.9 to 15.9 mm and has the Intel Evo platform certification. The 14-inch screen of the Xiaoxin Air 14 2023 offers a resolution of 2880 x 1800p and up to 400 nits of brightness.

The Lenovo Xiaoxin Air 14 comes with excellent display features and supports full DC dimming. It is equipped with the Intel Core i5-1240P processor with 12 cores and 16 threads. The 12th-gen Core i5 has a maximum turbo frequency of 4.4GHz, with 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage. The laptop has a 1080p camera and supports both facial recognition-based unlocking and system-level beauty. Lenovo, at CES 2022, released a new iteration of its ThinkBook series of laptops with the latest 12th Gen Intel processors. While pre-order dates hadn’t been announced then, the company has now finally revealed them.

Lenovo says that pre-sale will commence later this month (via IT Home). The series comprises ThinkBook 14 G4+ and ThinkBook 16 G4+ notebooks, both of which will be equipped with Intel Alder Lake-H45 CPUs, up to RTX 2050 graphics cards, and 16GB of LPDDR5 memory.

The ThinkBook 14+ is approximately 15.9 mm thick, weighs 1.4 kg, and features a 14-inch 16:10 IPS display with up to 2.8K (2880×1800) 90Hz options. The ThinkBook 16+ features a larger 16-inch 16:10 IPS display and offers a display with specs reaching up to 2.5K (2560×1600) 120Hz. Both laptops are equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 interface, USB-A/C ports, and an HDMI port.

Options of 46.5 Whr and 62 Whr battery capacities are offered for the ThinkBook 14+ while the ThinkBook 16+ gets 57 Whr and 71 Whr configs.

At CES, Lenovo announced that the ThinkBook 14 G4+ will start at $839 while the Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G4+ will start at $859, and that both will be sold starting April.

According to a report by ITHome, Lenovo has officially teased the Legion Y9000P laptop which is expected to officially be launched at CES 2022.

The teaser reveals that the upcoming Lenovo Legion Y9000P gaming laptop will have a rectangular design with 90-degree edges. The device appears to have a moderate thickness when it comes to gaming laptops and features a backlit keyboard.

Coming to the hardware of this design, the unveil dropped information about the device’s screen, which is a QHD+ panel with a 92.3% screen-to-body ratio, 165Hz refresh rate, and 3ms response time. It is capable of brightness up to 500 nits, 100% sRGB color gamut, and 10bit color depth. The screen has also passed HDR400 certification, Rheinland anti-blue light certification, and supports Dolby Vision.

Although the company has not revealed information on the display type of the Legion Y9000P, with the 3ms response time, it is like an IPS panel. However, rumors also suggest that it might house a high-spec mini LED screen.

The device is expected to come with high-performance latest-gen Intel and AMD CPUs accompanied with a high-end Nvidia RTX series GPU, possibly an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080.

Separately, Lenovo also teased the upcoming Legion Y700 Gaming tablet which has been revealed to feature an 8.8-inch 2560 × 1600p display. The device is revealed to have a 120Hz refresh rate screen with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and supporting 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

According to @林林-一枝小白兔, Product Director at Lenovo, the company is facing an issue with supply as newer wireless network cards are out of stock. Just earlier this week, the known PC brand released a number of new products, including notebooks, tablets, and even peripheral accessories. Now, the company’s executive said that the shortage of networking-related components may lead to some models being downgraded to Wi-Fi 5 standards.

Although, the Product Director also added that the products that use the smaller network cards are limited to only certain models and that the company will notify its customers in advance if it downgrades as a last resort. For those unaware, the world is currently facing a major shortage of semiconductors at the moment. This has impacted various industries including, smartphones, home appliances, automobiles, and even the PC market as well.

This coupled with the world’s largest contract chipmaker, TSMC, facing water and power cuts has caused issues with chip production. This further adds to the problem of semiconductor shortage that has even spread to the field of wireless network cards as well. Lenovo‘s laptop business has unarguably been very successful, more than the smartphone arm. That is because of the world-class design, strong build quality, solid security and extensive manageability options that are available on its wide range of laptops. Lenovo’s laptop business was only second to HP but a recent report by IDC for the third quarter of the year (3Q18) shows that the Chinese manufacturer shipped a total of nearly 67.4 million units of traditional PCs (desktop, notebook, and workstation).

Despite the shipment marking a decline of 0.9% in year-on-year terms, Lenovo still goes ahead of its fierce rival Hewlett Packard (HP). Lenovo recently entered into a joint venture with Fujitsu and this is the second quarter of the partnership. The addition of Fujitsu volume helped to push the vendor to the top spot with 24% of the global market share. The company also saw a marked improvement in its North American business in the wake of a revamped channel strategy and more stable management.

Its part, HP grew a modest 0.3% year on year but still reached its tenth consecutive quarter of year-on-year growth and slightly outgrew its market share from a year ago. It faced a tough quarter in the U.S. as well as Latin America. Dell Inc. tied with Lenovo in terms of year-on-year growth at 5.8% and further expanded its market share versus a year ago. A strong showing in desktop volume overall and a great EMEA quarter were the driving forces behind its results.

As the one of biggest laptop manufacturer, Lenovo is now introducing their new ThinkPad Edge laptop wich powered by AMD Kabini processor. This laptop is the new refresh for Lenovo ThinkPad Edge lineup on the market.

The new series is the ThinkPad Edge E145, but those laptop isn’t exactly a new arrival. This powered by AMD Kabini E1-2500.

AMD E1-2500 is a dual-core processor with 1.4 GHz clock-speed and an integrated Radeon HD 8240 graphics adapter with 128 Stream processors and a 400 MHz frequency of its own.

Not exactly a very powerful platform, but better than others we’ve seen, and the GPU definitely surpasses Intel’s alternatives.

The laptop has measures just 11.6 inches in screen diagonal and has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels (HD). No point in including a strong APU and GPU when the LCD can’t even display Full HD images.

The ThinkPad Edge E145 packs with 4 GB of DDr3 RAM (random access memory), as well as an HDD (hard disk drive) of 500 GB and wireless support (WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0). Needless to say, USB 3.0 is available as well (a pair of ports are present on the sides).
