Now, GameSir has announced that macOS support is on the way, bringing that same idea to MacBook, iMac, Mac Mini and Mac Studio users. Once the Mac version arrives, it should allow users to run Windows and Steam games natively on macOS, effectively letting your Mac act like a gaming PC, without the need to install Windows or use complicated emulators.

New Features On the Way

The official announcement and teaser posters shared so far show that GameHub for Mac will include several customization options tailored to gaming. This marked a big step beyond casual ported titles. So here are some key features on the platform:

Alienware has started selling the updated Area-51 desktop gaming PC powered by AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors. The system was first announced at CES in early January, and several configurations are now available through Dell’s official online store.

The base configuration starts at $3,349 after discounts. It includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, 32GB of DDR5 memory, and a 1TB solid-state drive. At the high end, Alienware offers a fully loaded version priced at $7,599. This configuration features the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090, and up to 8TB of SSD storage.

Alienware Area-51 features

The case has a volume of 80.5 liters and uses a positive-pressure airflow design. Fans pull air into the system, while heat exits through passive rear vents. Alienware claims this layout runs 13 percent cooler, 45 percent quieter, and delivers 25 percent more airflow. It also claims up to 50 percent more processing power compared to systems from five years ago.

Several Dell PCs are facing critical issues after attempting to install Microsoft’s December cumulative update KB5072033 for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2. The problems include failed installations, frequent system freezes, and a non-functional Start Menu.

The update, released on December 9, has been failing to install on many Dell desktops and laptops. Users report that the progress bar halts mid-way and returns error code 0x800f0983. A system administrator confirmed that a large number of new Dell systems under his management encountered the same issue. He attempted multiple troubleshooting methods, including System File Checker, Deployment Image Servicing and Management, and reinstalling Windows. None of these fixed the problem.

The situation is worse on Dell Pro Max 16250 devices. Several users reported that these systems freeze after installing the update. Initial speculation pointed to Intel Arc graphics drivers. Further investigation by users revealed that a BIOS setting caused the issue. They found that disabling the “Enable adaptive c-States for discrete graphics” option under Advanced Setup > Performance in the BIOS stopped the system crashes.

Another reported issue affects the Start Menu. On some systems running Windows 11 24H2, the Start Menu fails to open after installing KB5072033. One affected user suspects that the problem may be connected to a previously identified bug from update KB5072911, which affected File Explorer and other XAML-based apps on enterprise devices.

Microsoft has not released an official fix or statement addressing these problems. For now, Dell users are advised to delay the KB5072033 update or manually adjust BIOS settings if they face system freezes. The update continues to raise concerns across Windows forums, especially among enterprise administrators managing large fleets of Dell hardware.

HP has launched its latest Star Desk AI desktop PC in China. The new model features Intel’s latest Core Ultra 200 series processors and targets both home and office users. It combines a clean aesthetic with upgraded internals, aiming to meet the needs of professionals who value performance and design.

HP Star Desk AI PC Specifications

The desktop uses a 16-liter chassis with a wood-textured front panel and curved edges. HP includes a wireless keyboard and mouse in the box, allowing users to get started without additional accessories. The design leans toward minimalism, with a focus on clean lines and a professional look that fits modern work environments.

HP equips the system with the new Intel Core Ultra 5 225 or Ultra 7 265 processors. The CPUs feature a hybrid architecture with performance and efficiency cores, and both models integrate Intel’s NPU for AI workloads. This marks the first time Intel’s neural processing unit is available on a desktop PC. The system uses the Intel B860 chipset and supports future upgrades, including discrete GPUs through an 8-pin connector.

The base model comes with 16GB of DDR5-5600 ECC RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. It offers upgrade options with support for up to 32GB memory and additional 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDD slots for expanded storage.

The system uses a centrifugal-style fan to direct airflow over critical components such as the CPU and SSD, with active SSD cooling to ensure sustained performance. It includes either a 280W or 400W 80 Plus Platinum power supply, both rated for up to 92% efficiency. HP has also included dual 8-pin connectors to support future GPU upgrades, including models like the RTX 5060.

In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and multiple USB ports. The front panel features a USB-C port with 10Gbps transfer speed. The rear I/O includes USB-A ports, HDMI, and DisplayPort 1.4a. The DP output supports 8K resolution and daisy-chaining for multi-monitor setups. The system also supports 5.1 channel audio.

The desktop comes pre-installed with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office Home. HP offers up to five years of on-site warranty, including parts and labor, for registered users. The desktop also carries EPEAT Climate+ Gold and Energy Star certifications.

The Ultra 5 225 with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD is priced at 4,599 yuan ($635). The version with 32GB RAM and a 400W power supply costs 5,399 yuan ($745). The Ultra 7 265 with 32GB RAM is listed at 6,599 yuan ($910).

India’s digital hardware market is showing a clear shift in momentum. According to Canalys’ Q1 2025 data, tablet shipments in the country fell sharply by 24% year-over-year to just 1 million units. In contrast, personal computer shipments (excluding tablets) climbed 13% to reach 3.3 million units, driven by strong demand for notebooks.

Samsung Faces Decline, Apple Gains Ground

Samsung, long the top tablet vendor in India, experienced a steep 33.4% drop in shipments, falling from 464,000 units in Q1 2024 to 309,000 in Q1 2025. Its market share slipped from 34.4% to 29.8%. Acer suffered an even more severe 67.2% decline due to delays in government and education sector orders.

Apple, however, recorded significant growth. iPad shipments in India rose 26.8% year-over-year, increasing its market share from 9.5% to 15.8%. Lenovo also performed well with a 16.1% growth, followed by Xiaomi, which saw a 12.6% rise. These gains were likely fueled by strong consumer interest, improved retail presence, and targeted online marketing across metro and tier-two cities.

Notebook Segment Sees Strong AI-Driven Growth

Notebook shipments in India grew 21% year-over-year in Q1 2025, reaching 2.4 million units. AI-capable laptops saw 253% growth, albeit from a small base, while premium laptops priced above $1,000 surged 49%. The data suggests that both consumers and enterprises are now prioritizing higher performance and AI-readiness.

HP led the overall PC market with nearly 29% share. Lenovo followed closely, posting a 34.8% year-over-year growth in shipments. Apple also saw notable gains in the PC category, with Mac shipments rising 73%, helped by its expanding offline retail network and rising appeal among premium users.

Despite the ongoing weakness in the tablet segment, Canalys forecasts 6% growth for India’s overall PC market in 2025, with an even stronger rebound expected in 2026. AI adoption and rising demand from non-metro cities are expected to be key growth drivers.

As India’s hardware market continues to evolve, the divide between PCs and tablets is becoming more pronounced. PC makers are capitalizing on AI and premiumization, while tablet brands face mounting pressure to innovate or risk losing relevance in a fast-changing landscape.

Lenovo has launched two new variants of its Xiaoxin personal business desktop, targeting home and office users who need a compact and capable PC. The new models are powered by AMD’s Ryzen 7 H 255 processor and are available with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.

Lenovo Xiaoxin Desktop PC Specifications

The Ryzen 7 H 255 is a mobile-class processor based on the 4nm Zen 4 architecture. It features 8 cores and 16 threads and comes with integrated Radeon 780M graphics based on the RDNA 3 architecture. Lenovo has positioned this desktop for users who want strong CPU and GPU performance without relying on a discrete graphics card.

The top-end configuration includes 32GB of dual-channel DDR5-5200MHz RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. Lenovo also sells a 16GB RAM version with the same storage. Both models support future upgrades thanks to two memory slots and dual PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD slots. The system also includes a reserved bay for adding a 3.5-inch mechanical hard drive.

Lenovo has designed the Xiaoxin desktop with an 8.2-liter chassis that features a matte finish and subtle stripe accents. The redesigned cooling system uses a hidden grille layout, and Lenovo claims it can operate as quietly as 20.3dB(A) under light use.

Coming to the pricing, the 32GB RAM variant is priced at 3699 yuan (approximately $510), while the 16GB model is available for 2999 yuan (around $415).

PC and tablet shipments in mainland China saw moderate growth in the first quarter of 2025, according to new data from Canalys. The report shows that PC shipments (excluding tablets) reached 8.9 million units in the mainland. It’s a 12% growth year-over-year. 

Meanwhile, the tablet shipments climbed to 8.7 million units, which is a 19% increase over the same period last year.

According to the report, the Chinese government’s subsidy program appears to be doing most of the heavy lifting. The incentives have been pushing consumers to upgrade older devices, especially notebooks, which saw a 20% jump compared to Q1 2024.

However, not all segments are sharing in the optimism. The commercial PC market showed less momentum. Canalys’ report shows purchases from large enterprises remained flat, while the SMB (small and medium-sized business) sector did show some signs of recovery after nearly three years of decline, growing 2% over the year.

Lenovo secures the top spot

Among PC vendors, Lenovo maintained its lead with 2.63 million units shipped and a 30% market share. However, this is still a 3% decline compared to Q1 2024. Huawei followed with 1.04 million units (12% share), posting 8% growth. 

iSoftStone, another Chinese company that also manufactures and sells PCs, shipped 890,000 units in Q1, 2025. It’s a massive 111% increment year-over-year, bringing its market share to 10%. 

Apple and HP rounded out the top five, with Apple growing 43% to 680,000 units (8% share), while HP declined 7% to 640,000 units (7% share).

In the tablet segment, Huawei led with 2.3 million units shipped (26% market share), closely followed by Apple with 2.1 million units (24%). Xiaomi reported the highest year-over-year growth at 57%, shipping 1.4 million units. Honor and Lenovo trailed, with Honor up 41% to 900,000 units, and Lenovo falling 23% to 500,000 units.

Looking ahead, Canalys forecasts a flat PC market for the rest of 2025, with slight 6% growth expected in 2026. The tablet market is projected to expand 5% this year, followed by an 8% contraction next year.

The second model has the same processor but upgrades to an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB GPU and a 1TB SSD, priced at 8,999 yuan ($1,238). The top model includes a Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, RTX 5060 Ti 8GB GPU, 32GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD, priced at 9,999 yuan ($1,375).

The Core Ultra 9 275HX features 24 cores and 24 threads, including 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores. It has a turbo boost of up to 5.4GHz and supports AI acceleration with 36 TOPS. It also supports ray tracing and AV1 codec.

The RTX 5060 Ti is a dual-fan custom GPU with 4608 CUDA cores and 8GB GDDR7 memory on a 128-bit interface. It has AI performance of 759 TOPS and supports DLSS 4.

ASUS is selling a new small gaming PC, the TUF Gaming T500, starting at $1,299. It looks like a typical gaming PC from the outside, but what’s inside is different.

The top model uses an Intel Core i7-13620H laptop chip instead of a regular desktop CPU. This CPU has six fast cores (up to 4.9GHz) and four efficient cores, so it can still run modern games. However, it’s soldered to a special motherboard, meaning you can’t upgrade it later. The RAM is also the type used in laptops (SO-DIMM), which also limits upgrades. Even the CPU cooler is custom-made and would need a new motherboard if you wanted to change it.

The good news is that the graphics card is a standard desktop part. You can choose up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of memory. It supports newer technologies like DLSS 4. Other specs include up to 64GB of fast DDR5 RAM (SO-DIMM), up to 2TB of fast SSD storage, and a good 500W power supply. It has fast WiFi 6, a regular Ethernet port, and front ports: two fast USB-A ports, one USB-C port, and a headphone/microphone jack. On the back, there are two standard USB ports, two HDMI ports (one older, one newer), a DisplayPort, three audio jacks for surround sound, and a network port.

Desktop and laptop sales in North America rose sharply in Q1 2025 as buyers moved quickly to avoid possible price hikes tied to U.S. trade tariffs. According to IDC, personal computing sales through distributors reached $4.07 billion, marking a 27.8 percent year-over-year increase. This pushed total IT distribution revenue to $19.9 billion for the quarter, up 7.6 percent from the same time last year.

Desktops saw the highest growth at 35.3 percent. Notebooks rose 26.9 percent, while workstations jumped 49.3 percent. Detachable tablets were the only segment to decline, falling 5.4 percent.

IDC said the surge was mainly driven by uncertainty around U.S. tariff policy. Commercial buyers accelerated orders to avoid expected cost increases. In April, the U.S. announced new tariffs on Chinese goods, including tech products, with rates exceeding 100 percent in some cases. A 90-day enforcement delay has not eased concerns, prompting early purchases across the channel.

Other categories showed smaller changes. Software, which is not impacted by tariffs, grew 13.2 percent year-over-year to $4.5 billion. Key drivers were storage, security, and system infrastructure software, which made up more than half of total software revenue. Network infrastructure was up 1 percent, while AV and services posted small year-over-year declines.

IDC’s chart shows a clear rise in personal computing revenue compared to previous quarters. The spike stands out across all product groups and reflects how policy uncertainty influenced buying behavior.

Analysts expect this trend to be short-term. Sales may decline in the second half of 2025 as early stockpiling slows and tariff enforcement begins.

The higher RAM capacity helps creative professionals to run design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, and others. Meanwhile, regular users can open more tabs in a browser, have more apps open, and just have a smoother experience overall.

Better for Gamers and Content Creators

Gaming and content creators are two audiences that particularly require higher RAM. Games are becoming increasingly complex, with rich graphics and larger world maps which require more memory. With 16GB RAM, laptops can manage these demands, leading to smoother gameplay and less frame-dropping.

Sony has just made a massive announcement, which will bring one of its beloved console exclusive title to the PC. Ghost of Tsushima will finally be playable outside of the PlayStation as of this summer. So here are all the details.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut drops for PC on May 16

The company confirmed in a blogpost that the Ghost of Tsushima will be ported to PC by Nixxes, which is a studio owned by Sony. This announcement also revealed that the Director’s Cut of the game will be releasing for PCs on 16th May 2024. For those unaware, Ghost of Tsushima is a action-adventure experience that has players take the role of Jin Sakai, who is a samurai that is fighting to protect the Tsushima island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan.

This title was originally released back in 2020 and was a PlayStation exclusive till today. The announcement from Sony adds that the PC port will bring not just the campaign, but also the Iki Island expansion. In other words, the DLC that offers a new location, characters, and enemies is also making its way to PCs this summer. The multiplayer Legend mode is also in the works, and the Kurosawa Mode for a black and white film grain effect inspired by legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa will also be bundled at launch.

As of right now, Ghost of Tsushima is already up for pre-orders on Epic Game Store and Steam Store. It has a price tag of 3,999 INR (roughly 48 US Dollars). Early buyers will also get their hands on a bunch of early in-game items as well. This includes New Game+ Horse travel companion, Traveler’s Attire, and Broken Armor dyes from Baku’s shop. Users can expect a straightforward migration process, with the ability to select the destination path for the migrated files on the new computer. By default, files will be transferred to their original paths to maintain familiarity and ease of access.

The tool supports the migration of a wide range of data types, including files, applications (with support for major browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, as well as QQ and WeChat), and some system settings. However, it is important to note that migration is not supported for directories such as Program Files, system directories, system management partitions, virtual memory files, and shortcut files.

For optimal performance, Xiaomi advises users to minimize the presence of other working wireless devices in the vicinity, place the two computers close to each other, and close other running applications during the migration process. If users encounter difficulties in connecting the old and new devices, restarting the devices or the Wi-Fi connection is recommended.

In the event of a failed migration, the tool provides detailed feedback, allowing users to identify and address issues related to file access restrictions, application download requirements, or incompatible system settings.

Colorful has recently launched its new G-ONE Plus all-in-one PC, a significant upgrade from its predecessor that featured a 12th generation Intel Core and RTX 3060 configuration.

Colorful G-ONE Plus PC Key Features:

The new model boasts an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor with 8 cores and 16 threads, capable of reaching a boost frequency of 4.9GHz. This processor is paired with the RX 6850M XT graphics card, a mobile GPU based on AMD’s RDNA2 architecture and 12GB of GDDR6 memory. The RX 6850M XT is comparable to the desktop RX 6750 XT in performance.

The G-ONE Plus features a 27-inch 4K display, which covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut and has a 60Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it features a dual-fan cooling system, a pop-up webcam, built-in stereo speakers, and a base that supports 15W wireless charging.

Colorful primarily known for its GeForce graphics cards in China, has made a notable shift by embracing almost all-AMD hardware in this new system. The G-ONE Plus offers different GPU settings – Quiet, Balance, Gaming, and Beast – with the highest setting allowing a total graphics power of 165W.

This all-in-one PC also has a unique ice sealing cooling system, esports-grade cooling, and noise reduction technology. It supports PCIe 4.0 and features Ray Tracing performance. Interestingly, the model is also equipped with rear RGB lighting effects and offers a dynamic, high-end design.

The PC comes pre-installed with Windows 11 and offers a variety of ports for connectivity, including Type-C, USB 3.2, DP 1.4, HDMI 2.0, and RJ45. In terms of warranty, the host components (including screen, motherboard, CPU, graphics card, and SSD storage) come with a 24-month warranty, while other components have a 12-month warranty.

Colorful says that the G-ONE Plus is a “90% new” product, implying it may have minor external damage. It comes with a 7-day return policy but lacks support for unconditional returns or exchanges.

Pricing and Availability

The AIO is available in three variants: 16GB + 1TB for 5899 yuan ($831), 32GB + 1TB for 5999 yuan ($845), and 64GB + 1TB for 7499 yuan ($1,057).

As of now, the G-ONE Plus is available only in the Chinese JD platform, with no news about a global launch. This new product seems to target both gaming enthusiasts and corporate users looking for a powerful yet compact system.

ASRock has introduced a new mini PC called the DeskMini B760 in Japan, priced at 34,980 Japanese yen ($233). In China, ASRock has partnered with Jiangsu Topfeel Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. to release a domestic model called the DeskMic, which is priced at 1,489 yuan ($203).

ASRock DeskMic B760 Key Features:

The DeskMic B760’s chassis combines a luxurious all-aluminum alloy material with precision CNC machining and a sandblasting plus anodizing process. It features a dual-slide design for easy assembly and disassembly.

The device is powered by ASRock’s latest B760-STX motherboard. This motherboard is compatible with Intel’s 12th to 14th-generation Core processors with up to i9-13900 and offers two DDR4 memory slots up to 64GB and two M.2 SSD slots.

Notably, one M.2 slot is compliant with the PCIe 5.0 standard, while the other supports the PCIe 4.0 standard. The motherboard also supports Wi-Fi 6 and a 120W power supply.

In terms of cooling, the DeskMic B760 incorporates a desktop-level cooling platform, ensuring efficient temperature control. This system includes two cooling fans, a CPU cooler with a 52mm height restriction, and passive chassis cooling methods.

In a recent announcement at the 2023 Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii, Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon X Elite processor, aiming at the ultra-thin laptop segment. This new chipset is poised to compete with Apple’s M-series, Intel Core, and AMD Ryzen, with Qualcomm highlighting its advantages in performance and energy efficiency. At the summit, the company also announced their latest flagship mobile chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Snapdragon X Elite Laptops Expected to Hit the Market in Mid-2024

The first wave of laptops powered by the Snapdragon X Elite is set to hit the market in mid-2024. Nine major PC manufacturers will integrate this chip into their products, including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Honor, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, Samsung, and Xiaomi. Qualcomm’s supply chain for these laptops will be supported by manufacturing partners Compal, Quanta, Wistron, and Inventec, with display panels sourced from AU Optronics and BOE.

While Qualcomm showcased prototypes at the summit, detailed benchmark scores remain undisclosed. However, the chipset’s specifications are notable:

CPU: Qualcomm’s Oryon CPU with 64-bit architecture has 12 cores, clocking up to 3.8 GHz with boosts up to 4.3 GHz.

GPU: The Adreno GPU supports DX12 and delivers 4.6 TFLOPs.

Memory: It utilizes LPDDR5x with a speed of 8533 MT/s, supporting up to 64GB and 136 GB/s bandwidth across 8 channels.

Amid some previous leaks, a new report by Windows Report revealed the full specifications of Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset. Bundling the custom Oryon cores, the new chipset aims to offer 2x improved CPU and GPU performance than the present x86 processors.

Snapdragon X Elite Features

With the focus on generative AI, the new Snapdragon X Elite will bundle Hexagon NPU which offers 45 trillion operations per second – TOPS. It is a 55% improved performance than the predecessor Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 SoC. Thanks to the Snapdragon Oryon CPU, that makes it is more power efficient, powerful, and productive with its generative AI models.

Qualcomm is expected to announce the new chipset at the Snapdragon Summit 2023. Based on 4nm architecture, the processor bundles 12 high-performance cores clocked at 3.8GHz and a dual-core boost of 4.3GHz. It bundles Qualcomm Adreno GPU with 4.6 TFLOPs and DX12 API support. Its LPDDR5x RAM offers 42MB of total cache and 136 GB/s memory bandwidth for its capacity to support 64 GB memory. Considering the competition, the chipset would offer 50% better performance.

Snapdragon X Elite Specifications

In connectivity, the new chip integrates support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, which is a considerable development over its predecessor that lends support for up to WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Interestingly, the Video Processing Unit now supports AV11 encoding and decoding.

Qualcomm’s new processor will offer better power efficiency with similar performance. Like its predecessor, Snapdragon 8cx Gen3, the Snapdragon X Elite will have DirectX 12 support and better computational features than the Xbox Series S, which houses AMD RDNA2 architecture. Today I got my hands on the latest mini PC from GEEKOM – the mini IT13. This is the first mini PC powered by the latest INTEL 13th CORE processor we’ve ever reviewed. And luckily I got the highest version. The tiny box down below is a monster PC with an i9-13900h CPU, 32g RAM, and 2TB SSD. It might be also the most powerful mini PC that you can find on the market. After having it for tests and daily uses, I would say that this little bomb is truly impressive. So I can’t wait to introduce it to you guys.

Unboxing

In terms of packaging, the mini IT13 is packaged in a compact color box. Open it and I can see the mini-PC, and underneath it are some accessories, including a 120w power adapter that supports wide-range inputs, a HDMI cable, a User Manual, and a VESA Mount. The VESA Mount can secure the unit to the back of most monitors, collecting and hiding the cables in a good way. So by far, GEEKOM has done a really good job with all the accessories.

Design

The mini IT13 is made of metal in most of the body, everything I can touch is made of metal, but it only weighs 652g, which is much lighter than most laptops, So it’s pretty easy to carry on the go.

And it’s so compact that it even fits in my satchel well! The mini IT13 has the Geekom logo on the top, and there are two air inlets on both the left and right. The right metal grills have an SD card slot. The main IO panels are on the front and back; there are two 10Gbps USB ports on the front as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. And on the back there are 2*hdmi2.0 ports, a USB2.0, another 10Gbps USB-A type, as well as 2 special type-C ports, also called USB-4.0, supporting up to 40Gbps. They are particularly powerful for supporting connecting graphic card docks.

In terms of network support, the mini IT13 comes with an AX211 WiFi kit and a LAN port that supports a wired network of up to 2.5Gbps. With all these interfaces, you can have quite a lot of possibilities with the mini IT13.

Internal Structure

One of the things I like about the internal structure of the mini PC is that, it supports multiple storage options. The 2TB variant comes with a 2280 NVME SSD, and you can add an extra 2242 SATA SSD or a 2.5″ SSD on your own to expand the total storage. It’s also worth noting that the mini IT13 has an exclusive cooling structure for the hard drives. good job! GEEKOM.

Considering the compact size of the mini IT13, I would say that its expandability and connectivity are perfect, and the high-speed interface can also significantly improve efficiency when used with the i9-13900h.

If you look closely, the mini IT13 has a metal frame that completely surrounds the board, so even if you shake the PC violently, it won’t rattle, that means I can put the mini IT13 in my backpack and take it on the go without worrying about anything.

Performance

The mini IT13 is powered by a 14 Cores 20 Threads i9-13900h processor, that’s pretty insane for a mini PC. Thanks to the Raptor Lake-H series’s great power efficiency and the 14 cores, the latest i9-H CPU achieves a multi-core performance of 7881 in the CPUZ test, which is 7% ahead of the desktop i9-10900k with the same 20 Threads. Performance is 7% ahead, the highlight is single-core performance. Compared to the i9-10900k, the i9-13900h in the mini PC is 25% ahead.

Well In the Cinebunch R23 test, the mini IT13 scores 11,800 in multi-core performance, which is more than enough to handle most complex tasks.

I’m actually more concerned about the power consumption and temperature than its performance. In the CPU stress test, the mini IT13’s i9-13900h power consumption reached 60w in the first second, and then the power consumption stayed at 35w. And after a 10-minute CPU stress test, the power consumption stably remained at 35w.

and the CPU package temperature stayed close to 80°C. The CPU’s p-core was running at 3.3ghz and the e-core was running at 2.5 GHz, while the surface temperature of the mini IT13 was only 40°C.

The thermal performance of the mini IT13 is truly excellent, considering the i9-13900h has a very powerful performance at 35w output. Of course, if you are a geek user, you can also try to unlock the power limits to get a higher CPU performance. It’s also worth mentioning that the noise control of the mini IT13 is very good, you can barely hear the noise during daily use. You do hear the fan noise when doing complex tasks, but to my surprise, the noise of the mini IT13 is different from the harsh centrifugal fan on a laptop, it is more similar to a 12cm fan on a PC. So, there’s nothing for me to complain about here.

About the GPU, it’s our old friend – the 96EU INTEL Xe GPU. In the gaming test, I first tested the GPU in Counter-Strike 2, with the screen set to 1080p low setting, it ran at 80-110 fps, and I did complete a couple of headshots during the game, which was pretty good.

In Genshin Impact at 1080p low setting, we tested in the Fontaine area, the frame rate was around 50fps and the gaming experience was relatively smooth. Overall, thanks to the mini IT13’s dual-channel 3200MHz RAM, the GPU performs quite well, and the mini IT13 has very good temperature control when gaming. No kidding, the mini IT13 can be your gaming PC if you play games that don’t require super high graphics.

Another thing that interests me is the 2TB SSD. The mini IT13 uses a Lexar MN7A1 PCIE4 SSD. There are no details of the specific SSD variant, but most likely this is an OEM product that is not for the retail market.

In the actual test, the performance of this hard disk is very good, it has very fast read and write speed, which fits well with our imagination about PCIE 4.0 SSD. I also tried some extreme tests, in the 1000GB of large file reading, it still kept 2700MB/S in the whole test. Personally, I’m very satisfied with the SSD offered by the mini IT13 at this price.

User Experience

The mini IT13 does have a very good user experience, the i9-13900H is even more powerful than the big PC I’m using, when running complex tasks, this CPU does bring higher efficiency. It also has a reasonable combination of parts and components: The chip brings powerful performance, while the 32G dual-channel memory offers great support for multitasking, and the 2TB SSD has enough space to store the data generated by CPU computing. Meanwhile, there are 2 extra storage expansion ports, and high-speed ports make mini IT13 a good enough replacement for a traditional PC. And if you really need extra graphic performance, the USB-4 can also add those graphic card docks in, no matter for gaming or AI-tasking.
