The POCO F3 GT is also receiving the MIUI 14 update in the country.

The latest Android 13-based MIUI 14 update for the Redmi Note 10 comes with the build number V14.0.1.0.SKGINXM. As for the POCO F3 GT, the build number is V14.0.1.0.TKJINXM. The MIUI 14 update is based on the Android 13 operating system and includes several new features such as conversation bubbles for messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram, one-time permissions to control app access to your device’s microphone or camera, media controls that allow you to quickly switch between audio sources, enhanced dark mode with dynamic wallpapers, and much more.

The addition of an AI-based memory management system, which is intended to optimise the device’s RAM utilisation and guarantee that apps and processes operate without interruption, is one of the most noticeable new features in MIUI 14. This ought to lead to quicker app switching and improved performance in general. A new weather app, an improved camera app, and a redesigned power consumption monitor are just a few of the updates and new features that MIUI 14 offers in addition to these adjustments. Xiaomi has been delivering MIUI 13 update for eligible devices since January. The latest smartphones to receive the fresh version of the company’s mobile software are POCO F3 GT and Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G. The former is a gaming handset, while the latter is a lifestyle phone.

The POCO F3 GT and Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G are sold in India as rebranded Redmi K40 Gaming Edition and Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. The original versions got access to the MIUI 13 update a while back.

Apart from bringing new MIUI features, the latest system update for smartphones also bumps up the Android version to Android 12. This means they are getting their first major MIUI and Android updates together. Additionally, the fresh software update comes with only February 2022 security patches though it’s already mid-March.

MIUI 13 was announced for India earlier this month as a minor update over MIUI 12.5, bringing along a number of under-the-hood improvements and some new wallpapers. While the event had revealed the first wave of Xiaomi and Redmi devices set to receive the update, POCO devices had been given a miss. POCO is, after all, an “independent” brand. But that has changed with yesterday’s POCO M4 Pro 5G launch event.

A few seconds of said launch were dedicated to MIUI 13 for POCO devices, with the official claiming that the update stays just as clean but becomes faster and more efficient than ever before. Along with this, the first batch of POCO phones set to receive MIUI 13 was also announced:

• POCO X3 Pro
• POCO F3 GT

Exact dates weren’t revealed but it was stated that the aforementioned models will get the MIUI 13 in the coming weeks.

But these devices are only a part of a lengthier list that also includes a bunch of older devices. While POCO is yet to announce an official update timeline for all of the MIUI 13-eligible devices, Xiaomiui has curated an unofficial list which we have given below.

It’s a known fact that POCO smartphones run MIUI like Xiaomi (formerly Mi) and Redmi-branded devices. Hence, POCO recruits MIUI testers for its handsets from time to time. The brand has now opened registrations for the recruitment of a fresh batch of testers.

According to an official announcement post on POCO Community, the brand is looking for testers interested in trying out MIUI Stable ROM. These users will be the first to use stable builds before they are rolled out to the general public.

They will be responsible for providing feedback on new software builds. They are expected to point out bugs and offer suggestions. They should be aware of the issues while using beta software and are recommended to have the ability to recover phones in case of any failure.

Most importantly, POCO is only accepting applicants who are at least 18 years of old. This means curious teenagers cannot enroll in the program.

A couple of weeks ago, Xiaomi-backed POCO launched its new POCO F3 GT smartphone which is a gaming edition of the POCO F3 and comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor.

However, some users are facing heating issues on the POCO F3 GT smartphone. The device gets a bit warmer than usual during regular usage and but quickly heats up when gaming. Not everyone seems to be having this problem. For some, the device gets too hot to use while for others, it just gets warm.

After getting complaints from users, the company has acknowledged the heating issues on the smartphone with the latest edition of the MIUI Bug Report For Poco Devices. It says that POCO F3 GT faces heating issues on MIUI 12.5.4.0.RKJINXM and will be addressed with an upcoming “temperature control strategy update”.

Currently, the company has not revealed any timeline for rolling out a fix for the heating issues but it’s likely that the update will be rolled out in a few weeks. Do note that this is just speculation and there’s no guarantee when the update will be released.

The smartphone features a 6.67-inch OLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, 500nits brightness, 10bit colors, and has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.

In the camera department, there’s a 64-megapixel main camera with an f/1.65 aperture, an 8-megapixel superwide lens with a 120-degree FOV, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the front side, the phone features a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 and comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device runs on MIUI 12.5 flavored Android 11 and packs a 5,065mAh battery with 67W fast charging, Quick Charge 3.0, and USB PD 3.0.

The Realme GT carries a €399/$470 starting price tag in the global market. The POCO F3 GT is not sold globally and it launched just in India with a starting price of about €310/$365 at the actual change. Overall, the Realme GT offers a superior hardware department and a better design, but the POCO F3 GT has a bigger battery, a better display, and a physical trigger which are very useful for gamers. While POCO launched POCO F2 Pro (rebranded Redmi K30) and POCO F3 (rebranded Redmi K40) in global markets, these POCO phones were not available in India. Today, the company announced the POCO F3 GT smartphone in India as the first F-series phone after the POCO F1. As expected, it is a rebadged edition of China’s Redmi K40 Gaming Edition that was announced a couple of months back in China. Nevertheless, it packs some enticing such as a 120Hz AMOLED panel, Dimensity 1200 chip, 64-megapixel triple cameras, RGB lighting, and gaming buttons.

POCO F3 GT specifications and features

The POCO F3 GT has a 6.67-inch OLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, 500nits brightness, 10bit colors, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. For security, the device features a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

POCO India has just shared a new teaser on its official Twitter handle. In this tweet, the company targetted the mobile gaming audience, highlighting the 480Hz high touch sampling rate of its upcoming smartphone, the F3 GT.

The Chinese smartphone maker even shared the benefits of having high touch sampling rate in this tweet. stating that it offers gamers a smoother and more accurate response. This, in turn, translates to a better gameplay experience during intense fights that could mean the difference between winning and losing, especially in a first person shooter game. The company adds that its 480Hz touch sampling rate is the fastest in the industry and offers a major step up from the general 180Hz touch sampling rates.

The display of the POCO F3 GT also offers a 120Hz refresh rate as well, along with a 10 bit AMOLED panel that supports HDR10+. POCO has confirmed to launch its next device called POCO F3 GT in India on July 23. It’s already known that this upcoming smartphone is nothing but a rebadged Redmi K40 Gaming. Ahead of its official announcement, the handset’s price has been tipped online.

According to a source of Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata), the upcoming POCO F3 GT will retail for the following price tags in India.

• POCO F3 GT
  • 8GB + 128GB – ₹28,999 or ₹29,999
  • 12GB + 256GB – ₹31,999 or ₹32,999

The leakster asks to consider this information with a pinch of salt. Hence, the price of the POCO F3 GT could be either costlier or maybe even cheaper than the above-listed ones.

Since the POCO F3 GT is said to be a rebranded Redmi K40 Gaming, we can expect it to come with features like a 6.67-inch FHD+ 10-bit OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, VC LiquidCool technology + white graphene, and dual magnetic pop-up gaming triggers.

Other features include a 64MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) triple camera setup, 16MP punch-hole selfie camera, dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5,065mAh battery, 67W fast charging, and MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.

The POCO F3 GT will be unveiled on July 23 at 12 PM in India. Just like other POCO smartphones, it will be sold exclusively on Flipkart.

The Poco F3 GT smartphone is all set to launch on July 23 in India. Ahead of its launch, Flipkart – an Indian shopping portal, created a microsite of the gaming smartphone revealing key specs and design.

It is already known that the Poco F3 GT is nothing but a rebranded Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. Adding to it, the phone’s landing page on Flipkart confirmed some more details.

Starting with the design, the Poco F3 GT seems to come with a 120Hz punch-hole display with thin bezels. Apart from the volume rocker and the power button, the phone has shoulder trigger buttons on the sides.

The smartphone will come with 3 levels of bevels and a series 7000 Aluminium Alloy frame. Similar to the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, the F3 GT has stripes on the back(Slipstream design) which aggressively utters the gaming look of the phone. The landing page suggests that the device has a 22-Step engraved back panel and a fairly thin form factor of 8.3mm.

Surprisingly, the Flipkart landing page reveals only one color variant of the phone, Gunmetal Silver. But, it is expected to launch in more colors including Lunar Silver, Carbon Black, Predator Black, and Greyish Silver. As for the audio, the device has Dolby Atmos support with Hi-Res sound.

Other than this, the Poco F3 GT is expected to come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. It will house a 5,000mAh battery and support 67W fast charging technology.

In terms of pricing, the smartphone was recently touted to come at around ₹30,000(~$402) and will compete with the likes of OnePlus’ Nord 2 which is slated to launch a day before the Poco F3 GT’s launch.

Prior to the official launch of the POCO F3 GT in India, a company executive has revealed the pricing of the device. The device is the second F series model arriving in India from the company and will launch around the 400 US Dollars mark.

Previously, the Chinese smartphone maker had stated that the handset will launch sometime in the third quarter of this year. And now, Anuj Sharma, the Country Director of POCO India officially revealed to India Today that the device will launch in the region sometime later this month. The executive revealed that the original launch window was set between August and September 2021 but the device is confirmed to arrive on July 23, earlier than its initial plans.

The senior official also revealed information regarding the F3 GT’s pricing to India Today. It will launch later this month for a price of around 30,000 INR (roughly about 402 US Dollars). In other words, we can expect multiple variants arriving either under or above the 30,000 INR mark. Although, Anuj confirmed that the upcoming device’s top end variant will be priced under 35,000 INR (roughly 470 US Dollars), making it competitive in the segment that it is targeting.

Notably, its 23rd July 2021 launch date is also close with the OnePlus Nord 2 announcement, which the company had recently trolled as well. Both smartphones feature the same MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. POCO also confirmed certain other specs for the upcoming smartphone, this includes an AMOLED display that supports HDR10+ and 120Hz refresh rate. It will also arrive in two color variants, namely Gunmetal Silver and Predator Black, and offer Dual Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Anuj added that “The smartphone market has changed a lot in last three years. We could have done a simple F1 successor which means cut out everything else and give performance. But, in the mid-premium segment users are not happy with one aspect. Things like the build quality, glass back are all expensive. This would make the Poco F3 GT a lot more expensive than Poco F1 but at the price, will be unlike any other phone.”

POCO has started teasing the POCO F3 GT in India. Last week, it revealed that it has a 7000-series aluminum alloy frame flanked between glass on the front and rear sides. Now, the company has teased the color variants of the smartphone.

Earlier today, POCO India provided options like Lunar Silver, Greyish Silver, Gunmetal Silver, Carbon Black, Predator Black, Astral Black, Asteroid Black, Predator Black, Shiny Silver, Lake Blue Silver, Darksky Black, or Midnight Black, and asked users to screenshot the names of the two color variants. Later, it confirmed that the POCO F3 GT will be available in two colors as Gunmetal Silver and Predator Black.

Multiple reports have revealed that the POCO F3 GT will be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which debuted in China a few months back. Like the K40 Gaming is also available in black and gray colors. The F3 GT’s glass back has an anti-fingerprint and anti-reflection matte finish. The company also revealed last week that it will be equipped with gaming trigger buttons.

POCO F3 GT specifications (Rumored)

The POCO F3 GT is expected to arrive with a 6.67-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a 16-megapixel front, and a 64-megapixel triple camera unit. The handset will offer other specs like Dimensity 1200 chip, up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,065mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Speculations are rife that the F3 GT will be made official by early August in India.

While Poco is teasing the Poco F3 GT aggressively on Twitter, the launch of the device still remains unknown. Recently, the company took to Twitter trolling OnePlus’ Nord 2 smartphone, which is scheduled to launch this month in India. Today, Poco has teased about the upcoming F3 GT’s built and craftsmanship moving us closer to the Indian launch.

According to the tweet from Poco India, the Poco F3 GT will feature an Aerospace-Grade Aluminium Alloy Frame. It is said to have three levels of bevels – a radical bevel on one side, a concave bevel at the top, and a square bevel on the other side.

The attached screenshot in the tweet is said to be taken on the Poco F3 GT. It is the post on the Mi community about the Poco F3 GT’s built that confirms the device uses a series 7000 aluminium alloy frame and has a glass sandwich design.

The post enticed the Mi community about the upcoming Poco F3 GT and the tease-saga seems to continue till we receive an actual launch date.

For those who are unaware, the Poco F3 GT is touted to be the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition for the Indian market. The smartphone is expected to come with game-centric features like mechanical shoulder buttons and an in-built cooling system.

The smartphone will come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The phone is expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz high refresh rate. It is said to house a 5,065mAh battery and support for 67W fast charging.

At the moment, the Chinese smartphone maker is also seeking to launch its new POCO F3 GT in the Indian market as well. And now, it has taken a dig at OnePlus, hinting that the F3 GT will be better than the Nord 2. In the tweet, the company stated that the F3 GT is “not your N-ordinary phone.” This is a clear hint at the Nord 2, while it also used the promotional ad from OnePlus that said “pretty much everything you could ask for” and turned it into “pretty much everything you could ask for and more.”

In other words, the POCO is clearly set to take on the OnePlus Nord 2 in the Indian market, which arrives as no surprise considering both smartphones sport the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. So, we can also expect that the devices will compete in a similar price point and segment in the region. Talking about the specs of both handsets, the F3 GT is the rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition that launched in China and features a 120Hz refresh rate on an AMOLED panel, along with a 64 megapixel triple camera lens and 67W fast charging.

On the other hand, OnePlus has only confirmed that the Nord 2 will arrives with Dimensity 1200 SoC. Although, recent reports have suggested that the device will sport a FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and a 50 megapixel triple camera module on the rear. Furthermore, it is expected to be powered by a large 4,500mAh battery pack and could support either 30W or 65W fast charging as well.

In May, POCO confirmed that the POCO F3 GT will be launching in Q3 2021 in India. This phone is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition that debuted a few months back in China. A new report by 91mobiles has revealed that the launch timeframe of POCO F3 GT.

The publication has learned that the POCO F3 GT launch event will be held in the first ten days of August. Hence, there is a possibility that the company may start teasing the arrival of the F3 GT in the next few weeks in India.

The POCO F3 GT is likely to feature the same specs that are available on the gaming-focused Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. It is unclear whether it will have the RGB lighting and gaming trigger shoulder buttons that are available on the Redmi phone.

POCO F3 GT specifications (expected)

The POCO F3 GT will come with a 6.67-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate display with a punch-hole design. The Dimensity 1200 chip will power the F3 GT with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will feature a 5,065mAh battery that supports 67W rapid charging.

It may feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera system. It’s the start of the second half of this year, and we have some exciting launches in the pipeline. We have launches expected from the budget segment like the OnePlus Nord 2 and even from the flagship segment like the Huawei P50. There are also some camera and gaming-centric phones like the Realme GT 5G Master Edition and the POCO F3 GT. That said, buyers will get a variety of options to choose from in different price segments this month. 

Let’s have a look at the full list of the phones launching in July 2021

OnePlus Nord 2 

The OnePlus Nord 2 will be the successor to the original Nord that launched back in August 2020. With the successive launch of the original, the company is all set to once again offer a OnePlus experience on a budget. 

So far, we’ve seen that the phone will flaunt a similar design and form factor to that of the original OnePlus Nord. The smartphone should sport a 6.43-inch punch-hole AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. 

In-display fingerprint scanner, 50MP triple rear cameras, and MediaTek Dimensity 1200 will be some highlights of the Nord 2. The phone should also pack a 4,500mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T. Finally, it is expected to come with Oxygen OS based on Android 12 out of the box. 

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Series 

The popular entry-level segment is all set to get a bunch of Redmi 10 devices. Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi Note 10 phones in major markets, and with the upcoming launch of Redmi 10 phones, buyers will be getting some variety to choose from. 

Just like last year, the Redmi 10 series will get a couple of versions. We can expect a vanilla Redmi 10, a Redmi 10A, and some other versions depending on the market. The specs for the series are still under wraps but as the series was teased recently, we can expect the phones to debut in the mid-end of July. 

Huawei Nova 8i (Update: Launched)

Huawei Nova 8i is on the leak spree for a while. Recently, the company confirmed that the phone will make its first appearance on July 7 in Malaysia. One of the major highlights of the phone will be the eye-catching camera island. 

Apart from it, the smartphone will sport a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen, Snapdragon 662 processor, and a whopping 66W fast charging support. Huawei has already teased its fast charging speeds showcasing that the phone can go from 0% to 100% in just 38 minutes. 

It is worth noting that the phone will launch with the EMUI 11 operating system on top of the old Android 10. Rumors reveal that the phone will get the HarmonyOS update in the future. 

Vivo S10 

The Vivo S10 had made rounds on various certifications hinting for a launch closer than expected. The phone will succeed the Vivo S9 that launched earlier this year in China. The phone was recently spotted on Geekbench with MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. 

It is said to come with 12GB of RAM and a battery with 44W fast charging support. As per its leaked specs sheet, the phone will be good at capturing pictures, thanks to its 108MP rear triple cameras and the 44MP selfie camera. Just like Huawei’s Nova 8i, the Vivo S10 will also boast fast charging support that will juice up the entire device in 38 minutes. 

With more certifications on the way, we can expect the device to hit the floors this month. 

Samsung Galaxy F22 

In between these Chinese giants, we have Samsung, touted to unveil a mid-range phone dubbed Galaxy F22. The Samsung Galaxy F22 has been officially scheduled to launch on July 6 in the Indian market. Fans can expect a Made in India 4G handset with crazy battery life. 

The Galaxy F22 will feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. One bummer would be the rumored HD+ screen on the device. Other specs of the phone are quite impressive, a 6,000mAh battery, 48MP quadruple cameras, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. 

Poco F3 GT

Xiaomi’s Poco is likely to launch the F3 GT in the Indian market. For those who are unaware, the phone has already made it to the Chinese market but the Indian launch has been delayed since last month. This month, Poco could bring it to the Indian market in the mid-range segment. 

Some of the specs of the gaming smartphone are a Dimensity 1200 5G chipset, 5,065mAh battery, and dedicated trigger buttons. The smartphone also has a 64MP triple rear camera and a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display. For all the gamers in India, this could be one of the gadgets you should be waiting for. 

Realme X9/ Realme GT 5G Master Edition 

Realme will launch a successor to the Realme X7 smartphone this month. Although an exact launch date is unknown, the leaks point out a July launch. The Chinese phone maker could launch a camera-centric phone in China dubbed Realme GT 5G Master Edition. 

The specs for the Realme X9 series are scarce but what we know is that it will be offering a flagship-like premium experience in the mid-range segment. The X9 could also be joined by a sibling dubbed Realme X9 Pro. The vanilla Realme X9 is tipped to offer Snapdragon 778G and the Realme X9 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC. 

On the other hand, the Realme GT 5G Master Edition will sport 108MP triple rear cameras, a 6.5-inch screen, a 4,500mAh battery, and support for 65W rapid charging. Recently, there were talks that Realme is working with Kodak in co-producing a camera-centric device. Rumors are rife that the GT 5G master edition could be the one with Kodak powered camera. 

Huawei P50 Series 

Huawei P50 series is one the most anticipated flagship series launching this month. According to sources, the series will include a vanilla Huawei P50, a P50 Pro, and a P50 Pro+ smartphone.

Interestingly, the trio will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset but not the usual 5G version. It is said that Huawei only has the consent to use 4G-enabled Qualcomm processors. The Chinese variants will be powered by the in-house Kirin 9000 SoC.

A new Xiaomi phone with an M2104K10I model number in the database of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The POCO F3 GT has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 OS.

The handset has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Its rear camera setup features a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Dimensity 1200 chip powers the POCO F3 GT with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The phone comes with up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is backed by a 5,065Ah battery that carries support for 67W rapid charging. Rumors are rife that the POCO F3 GT could be priced between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 in India.

Earlier this month, we had reported on the POCO X3 GT bagging the FCC certification. Now, the upcoming smartphone has also been spotted on the Malaysian SIRIM certification, while POCO F3 GT has also received the TUV Rheinland certification as well.

Talking about the X3 GT first, the device is expected to be the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G that has just been spotted clearing the SIRIM certification. This certification revealed the device’s model number and also confirmed its name as the POCO X3 GT. As per this listing (Via MySmartPrice), the smartphone carried the model number 21061110AG, which is in line with the FCC certification we had covered before.

On the other hand, the F3 GT, which is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition, was also spotted receiving TUV Rheinland certification. The certification reveals that the model number for the M2012K10C/ M2012K10I. Notably, the “I” in the model number could be a reference to the Indian variant. The listing was spotted by known tipster Mukul Sharma who shared the information along with a screenshot on Twitter.

Furthermore, the company has yet to official reveal any finer details regarding these handsets. The teaser ends by saying that the note ‘Q3 coming soon.” This indicates that the POCO F3 GT may break cover in July. It appears that the smartphone could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which was announced in China last month.

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is the first gaming-centric smartphone from Redmi. It comes with RGB lighting around the rear cameras, and it has mechanical pop-up gaming shoulder buttons. There is a possibility that the POCO F3 GT may include the same specs as K40 Gaming, but it may flaunt a different design.

POCO India Country Director Anuj Sharma revealed to India Today that the phone could be priced around 350 euros to 400 euros. Hence, there is a possibility that the phone may cost between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 in India.

The Redmi K40 Gaming edition is expected to launch as the POCO F3 GT in India. Probably, it will launch alongside the POCO M3 Pro 5G, which is also rumored to be in the works for India. While POCO is yet to confirm the existence of these devices, an online retailer has listed the POCO F3 GT with entire specifications and pricing.

The POCO F3 GT’s listing at WelEletronics shows that it is priced at $1,299 (~Rs 95,000). The smartphone is expected to arrive in India with a pricing of around Rs 25,000 (~$341). Hence, it appears that the handset is listed with incorrect pricing. Past reports have revealed that it could be rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming, which was announced recently in China.

As far as specs are concerned, the POCO F3 GT is listed with the same specs as the Redmi K40 Gaming model. It has a 6.67-inch OLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Dimensity 1200 chipset is present under the hood of the device with 6 GB of RAM.

The listing further states that the POCO F3 GT has a 128 GB UFS 3.1 storage and a microSD card slot for additional storage. The 5,065mAh battery of the F3 GT supports 67W fast charging. The POCO F3 GT has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is unclear whether the device will feature gaming trigger buttons like the Redmi K40 Gaming. It may come with a front-facing camera of 16-megapixel and its rear camera setup may include a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

In China, the Redmi K40 Gaming is selling with a starting price of 1,999 Yuan (~$312; ~Rs 23,000). Readers are advised to digest the e-commerce listing of the POCO F3 GT with a pinch of salt as its authenticity could not be approved.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi announced the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition with Dimensity 1200 chipset earlier this week. It is believed that the model number of this device M2104K10C. Fresh information reveals that its Indian variant with model number M2104K10I may debut in India with POCO F3 GT.

Past reports have claimed that Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition (M2014K10C) is codenamed as Ares. The tipster revealed that the Indian edition of this device has “ares in” codename and it might carry the POCO F3 GT moniker. Previously, this model number was spotted at India’s IMEI database as a POCO branded device.

It is not clear when POCO will be announcing the POCO F3 GT in India. Some parts of India have extended the COVID lockdown until May 15 because of which brands are now postponing their forthcoming launch events. Realme was supposed to announce the Realme X7 Max 5G on May 4 through a mega launch event, but its arrival has been postponed indefinitely. Hence, it is likely that the POCO F3 GT may debut in India after May 15 or if the lockdown continues, it may even arrive In June. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know about its arrival.
