Early Access programs by realme are intended to filter out bugs that may have gone overlooked during the internal testing process. As such, builds rolled out through it are not expected to be rock-stable and may be rough around the edges.

We promise this is the last comparison, but we had to compare the Redmi Note 11T 5G with the best device from Realme sold with a similar price: the Realme 8s 5G. The differences between these two phones are just marginal, that is why a lot of people will be confused and unsure about which one to choose. This comparison between their specifications will hopefully shed some light on this and help you understand which phone offers the highest value for money.

Design

My favorite design of this comparison belongs to the Realme 8s 5G because its camera module has a more minimal look. The cameras are placed in a 2×2 matrix and the phone is slightly lighter than Redmi Note 11T 5G. It even offers a more compact size because its display is slightly smaller but still wide enough for everyone. But you should consider that the Redmi Note 11T 5G offers two important advantages in terms of build quality: the first is the IP53 certification (which makes it dust resistant and splash resistant) and the second is the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the front glass. Both the phones are made of polycarbonate just like most of the other budget phones.

Display

The displays of Redmi Note 11T 5G and Realme 8s 5G can be considered at the same level. They are average IPS panels with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate. As mentioned above, the Redmi Note 11T 5G adds the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, while the Realme 8s 5G has a smaller diagonal (6.5 inches vs 6.6 inches). Redmi Note 11T 5G has stereo speakers as well, while the Realme 8s 5G has a mono speaker: that is the reason why the former is a better phone for multimedia. Both come with a side-mounted fingerprint reader for authentication.

Hardware/Software

The hardware departments of the highest-end configurations of these phones are the same with the exception of the internal storage. The handsets are powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset running at 2.4 GHz and built at 6 nm, paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of native storage. But the Redmi Note 11T 5G offers faster UFS 2.2 storage, while Realme 8s 5G comes with UFS 2.1. The performance level is very similar and the differences mostly depend on the software optimization. The phones run Android 11 out of the box and customized user interfaces: MIUI and Realme UI, respectively.

Camera

The Realme 8s 5G has a more interesting main camera: a 64 MP sensor that is able to capture a very high level of detail in good light conditions. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 11T 5G features an 8 MP ultrawide sensor (besides the 50 MP main camera) which is not present on the Realme 8s 5G. The Realme budget phone only offers two secondary sensors with 2 MP resolutions which are considered pretty useless. But the selfie camera of the Realme 8s 5G is actually more valid.

Battery

There are no differences in terms of battery capacity and fast charging: Redmi Note 11T 5G and Realme 8s 5G are both equipped with 5000 mAh batteries and they support 33W fast charging. The battery life provided by these devices is similar because they have similar components, so it is a draw from the battery point of view.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T 5G vs Realme 8s 5G: Price

In the Indian market, the Redmi Note 11T 5G carries a starting price of Rs. 17,999 (about $239), that is the same starting price you can find for the Realme 8s 5G. These devices have very similar specs sheets and it is very hard to pick a winner. While the Redmi has faster internal storage, the Realme 8s 5G seems to offer a slightly more interesting camera department (but not for everyone as it lacks an ultrawide sensor). Which one would you pick?

Regardless of whichever phone, the series packs a 6.7-inch OLED panel and comes with a high refresh rate display. The Edge 20 has the Snapdragon 778G SoC, whereas the Edge 20 Pro is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 870 chipset. On the other hand, the Edge 20 Lite has the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC.
Rumors have it that it will feature a 64MP primary lens at the rear and a 16MP single camera lens at the front. We can expect other sensors to be an ultra-wide lens, and macro or depth units.

Additionally, the phone has a Realme branding at the bottom and flaunts a purple shade. Unfortunately, the renders didn’t give the front exposure of the smartphone but we do get to see the sides. The smartphone seems to have a side-facing fingerprint scanner at the right and a SIM tray at the left.

It has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a speaker grille at the bottom. And, the secondary microphone is present at the top.

Realme 8s Specifications(Expected)

Apart front this, it is touted to come with a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. We can expect an FHD+ panel with thin bezels. As said above, the phone will boast a 64MP quad-camera system and a single 16MP selfie shooter.

At the helm, it is expected to come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset paired with 6GB, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB, 256GB of internal storage. Just like other newly launched BBK phones, the Realme 8s is said to have virtual RAM support of up to 5GB. For software, it will boot on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. It will be backed up by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Now, the Chinese smartphone giant is touted to launch two more 8-series phones in the country dubbed Realme 8i and Realme 8s. Today, a popular tipster Mukul Sharma tipped the arrival of these phones.

The tipster stated, “8, 8i, 8s”, hinting at the upcoming Realme 8-series phones. While the Realme 8 is already available, the Realme 8i and 8s are the phones expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

Adding to this leak, a previous TENAA certification about a Realme phone with model number RMX2205 surfaced online. Since the device is still unknown, it is believed to be either the Realme 8i or Realme 8s smartphone.

Moreover, a publication claimed that the Realme 8i passed a Columbian certification but it has the model number RMX3151. The same device also visited other certifications including TKDN, IMEI, and EEC hinting that its launch is in the pipeline.

Regarding the specs, the RMX2205 appeared on TENAA earlier. It seems to have a raging design with its ‘DARE TO LEAP’ branding at the back. The smartphone is expected to be a 5G handset with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display. It is said to be a dual-SIM phone with a 4,400mAh battery.

On the other hand, the RMX3151 phone’s listings didn’t reveal anything other than its presence.

With multiple certifications incoming, the launch of both of these phones seems to be in the pipeline. We can expect the company to break the silence soon.
