Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 13 5G back in January 2024. Upon its launch, the company stated that the Redmi Note 13 5G is the slimmest Redmi Note ever with a thickness of 7.6 mm. Redmi Note 13 5G is equipped with a 6.67-inch FHD+ pOLED (1080×2400) ultra-narrow bezel. The company has managed to keep a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio on the new Redmi Note 13 5G, making it one of the slimmest in the segment. Apart from that, the phone also supports a 120Hz refresh rate for a superior scrolling experience, and games support higher refresh rates. The phone also supports 1000nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Display Protection.

Talking about performance, the Redmi Note 13 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor, which is 6 nm in size and supports 5G. The Octa-core chipset goes up to 2.4GHz. The phones support up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage with Android 13 out of the box.

The three phones are the same as the ones sold in China. However, the vanilla model is slightly different as it comes with a better camera system than its Chinese counterpart.

Redmi Note 13 5G global variant gets three rear cameras instead of two

Earlier today, we reported on the renders of the Redmi Note 13 series global variant. Five devices are expected, out of which three of them will be 5G-enabled, while the remaining two will be limited to 4G connectivity.

The 5G models are the same as the ones sold in China. However, the renders suggest that the vanilla Redmi Note 13 5G will be slightly different. Let’s go through what it is.

The renders of the Redmi Note 13 5G global variant reveal that it will have three rear cameras instead of two like the Chinese variant. The same happened for the Redmi Note 12 5G as well.

The images suggest that the international model will retain the primary 108MP main sensor. But unfortunately, it does not hint anything about the remaining two sensors. For the unaware, the Chinese version comes with a 2MP depth sensor just like its predecessor.

For the global markets, Xiaomi replaced the 2MP depth sensor on the Redmi Note 12 5G with a 2MP macro snapper and included an additional 8MP ultrawide unit. Perhaps, the same could happen for the international variant of Redmi Note 13 5G as well.

Other than the rear cameras, the handset will likely retain all the features of its Chinese counterpart.

The series is expected to feature the same specifications as the variant that launched in China a few weeks ago. However, ahead of its official launch, the Redmi Note 13 Series’ sale pages go live on Amazon and Flipkart in India.

The listing confirms that the new Redmi Note 13 5G Series will retail both via major e-retailers in India – Amazon and Flipkart. The Redmi Note 13 series recently made its debut in China with three models: the Redmi Note 13 5G, the Note 13 Pro, and the Note 13 Pro+. We know that the Note 13 5G is headed to global markets as it was recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards website. That being said, the Chinese variant of the smartphone has emerged on Geekbench revealing its performance.

The Red Note 13 5G, specifically the Chinese variant with model number 2312DRAABC, recently showed up on Geekbench, giving us a glimpse of its performance. This phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chip. The benchmark test tells us that it has two performance cores running at 2.40 GHz for heavy tasks, and six other cores running at 2.00 GHz for everyday stuff. This particular version of the phone has 8GB of RAM.

Redmi Note 13 Pro series to feature 1.5K display comparable to flagships

Redmi has confirmed that the Note 13 series will be announced in September, and it has now been revealed that both the Pro series (Note 13 Pro / 13 Pro Plus) devices will feature a second-generation 1.5K high-gloss eye protection display.

The new screen is said to use the latest flagship luminescent materials, with a peak brightness of 1800nits, support for 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and high-brightness DC dimming for eye protection.

Additionally, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has received triple TUV Rheinland eye protection certification, which is a testament to its ability to reduce eye strain and fatigue.

Redmi has already shared posters of both smartphones, giving us a good idea about how they look. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a curved screen, while the Pro has a flat one. Both phones are likely to have AMOLED displays with in-screen fingerprint sensors.

The Pro+ model also comes with a leather back with raised camera rings, while the Pro has a glass back with a raised camera island. Both the 13 Pro duo will feature a 200MP main camera, but only the Pro+ will get optical image stabilization (OIS).

In October 2022, Redmi announced the RedmI Note 12 series in China. Hence, initial reports claimed that the Note 13 series would break cover in the same month this year. However, when the Redmi Note 13 series models appeared in TENAA’s database earlier this month, rumors started swirling that they may debut this month in China. Earlier this week, the brand confirmed that the Note 13 series would be announced in September. And now, it has been revealed that as many as three Note 13 models will be unveiled at 7 pm (local time) on Sept. 21 in China.

Redmi Note 13 Pro, Note 13 Pro+ design revealed

The above poster gives a look at two models: the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G on the left and the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G on the right. The Pro+ edition has a curved-edge screen, whereas the Pro model has a flat display. Both devices seem to have an AMOLED display integrated with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

The Note 13 Pro+ has a leather back with protruding camera rings, while the Note 13 Pro seems to be equipped with a glass back with a raised camera island. Rumors are rife that Redmi will unveil the Redmi Note 13 series in October of this year in China. A couple of model numbers, such as 2312DRAABC, 2312CRAD3C, 2312DRA50C, and 23090RA98C, that reportedly belong to the Note 13 lineup have already surfaced on Chinese certification platforms. A new report courtesy of XIaomiui has revealed that the lineup will include as many as five models. It has also shared key details about these devices.

Redmi Note 13 4G

The Redmi Note 13 is said to arrive in two variants: the Note 13 4G and the Note 13 4G NFC. The former has the “Sapphire” codename and N7 model number, whereas the NFC variant has the “Sapphiren” codename and N7N model number. The device will come equipped with a Snapdragon chip. While it will not launch in India, it is expected to be released in regions like Turkey, Indonesia, and Europe.

Redmi Note 13 5G

The Redmi Note 13 5G has a “gold” codename and “N17” model number. It will feature a MediaTek processor, and its camera setup will include a main snapper, an ultra-wide lens, and a macro camera. The report states that the Note 13 5G has three different variants featuring different primary cameras, such as 50-megapixel, 64-megapixel, and 108-megapixel.

A Poco variant of the device is also in the works. It has the “goldp” codename and is said to have a 64-megapixel primary camera.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G with “Zircon” codename and “N16U” codename is expected to feature a MediaTek chip. The Note 13 Pro+ 5G is likely to be similar to the Note 13 Pro, but specific details regarding its specs are not available.

Redmi Note 13 Turbo

Codenamed “Garnet,” the Redmi Note 13 Turbo is expected to sport a camera setup similar to the Note 13 Pro 5G. However, it will be equipped with a Snapdragon chip, and the device will be released in multiple markets. There is no information about the model number of the device. The entire lineup is expected to come preloaded with the MIUI 14-based Android 13.
