The 5,000mAh battery is fairly standard in 2026, but combined with a modest chipset and HD+ display, it should translate into dependable endurance. Charging is capped at 18W over USB-C 2.0 — not particularly fast by 2026 standards, but acceptable for a budget device.

Some of the smaller inclusions stand out more than the headline specs. The 3.5mm headphone jack remains. It might look like a small detail, but it saves buyers from needing to purchase expensive Bluetooth earphones — something that matters at this price point. Stereo speakers are included as well, along with Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-SIM 4G connectivity. None of these are flashy on paper, yet together they reinforce the phone’s “keep it simple” positioning.

The Luma comes in Titanium and Blue finishes, weighing about 198 grams and measuring 8.65mm thick. It ships with Android 15 out of the box, though long-term software support details haven’t been highlighted yet.

HMD Watch X1

The Watch X1 sits at the higher end of the pair. It features a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 × 466 and a peak brightness of 600 nits. 

The watch carries an IP68 rating as ingress protection and can last about five days on a single charge. 

Health and wellness feature includes heart rate and blood oxygen sensors, along with sleep tracking and more than 700 sports modes. There are also basic health reminders, such as alerts for long periods of inactivity and water-drinking reminders.

The Watch X1 comes in Gray Green, Black, Gray Metallic, and Silver Leather colors.

HMD Watch P1

The Watch P1 takes a more budget-oriented approach. It comes with a larger 1.83-inch rectangular LCD display, though with a lower resolution of 284 × 240 and a maximum brightness of 550 nits. 

Its IP67 rating means it’s protected against dust and some water exposure, but it’s not suitable for swimming. The battery life is rated at up to four days, slightly less than the Watch X1, and it still includes 700 sports modes and sleep monitoring. Color options include Black and Silver.

There are clear limitations, though. Neither smartwatch supports GPS or NFC, which means activities can’t be tracked independently outdoors, and contactless payments are off the table. Many features will rely heavily on being connected to a smartphone.

HMD has not yet announced pricing or release timelines for either model.

The leak comes from a known HMD tipster on X who goes by the name HMD_MEME’S, who shared both the specifications and images of the upcoming speaker.

According to the information, the HMD Boom E1 uses a 4-ohm horn paired with a 52mm driver. It is capable of delivering a maximum output of 5W. That’s modest power by today’s standards, but fairly typical for compact speakers.

One notable feature is its IPX7 waterproof rating, so the speaker should be good to survive splashes, rain, and even brief submersion in water. This makes it suitable for outdoor use, whether that’s at the beach, near a pool, or during a short hike. 

Connectivity options appear simple but practical, with Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless audio and an AUX line-in for wired playback. There’s also a built-in microphone, which could allow the speaker to double as a basic speakerphone.

Moreover, the Boom E1 is said to pack an 800mAh battery and charges via a USB Type-C port. 

The leaked images show a fully blue, circular design. The front is covered by a fabric mesh, while the top carries the “HMD” logo. We can also spot physical controls — including power, volume up and down, and play buttons — on the bottom. There’s also a lanyard on the side to add a bit of portability.

Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on pricing or launch timing. Based on specs, the HMD Boom E1 looks like a no-frills speaker aimed at the budget segment.

A new leak from X user @smashx_60 claims HMD is working on its first computer, a 2-in-1 Chromebook called the HMD (Chrome)Book CS-1 Flip — or just HMD Book CS-1 Flip for short. The “Flip” name points to a 360-degree hinge and touchscreen, similar to the familiar ASUS Chromebook Flip lineup and other convertible machines.

Over the last couple of years, HMD has expanded from basic feature phones into Android tablets and a growing accessories business. But laptops? That’s a first for the Finnish company. Technically, we’ve seen “Nokia” laptops before, like the PureBook models, though those were built by a now-shuttered licensing partner and not by HMD itself. This time, the company finally appears ready to put its own brand into the PC space.

Specs are still mostly a mystery, but the leak suggests the CS-1 Flip will use an Intel processor — interesting since many entry-level Chromebooks rely on ARM-based chips like MediaTek’s Kompanio line.

What we don’t know: the display size, exact Intel chip, RAM and storage configurations, price, or who HMD is targeting with this machine. And once it does launch, it’ll be stepping straight into a very competitive corner of the market currently dominated by Acer, Asus, Lenovo, and Samsung.

HMD Founder and CEO Jean-François Baril said the Terra M and Ivalo XE strengthen the company’s plan to build secure, resilient and sovereign mobility solutions for mission-critical use.

The phone is built to withstand harsh conditions. It is designed to meet MIL-STD-810H requirements and carries IP68 and IP69K ratings. It can handle drops of up to 1.8 metres. Connectivity support includes 4G, VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, hotspot mode, NFC, dual SIM and eSIM. The Terra M is powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCM2290 chipset and will receive five years of quarterly security updates from its global launch date. Its battery performance offers up to 10 days of standby time with optimised power management.

HMD is also releasing mission-ready accessories. These include a stackable charging cradle that connects up to 10 devices and a rugged belt clip holster for quick access during field work or shift operations.

The HMD Terra M will be available through HMD Secure and selected partners in Q1 2026.

HMD Global, the Finnish company best known for manufacturing and distributing Nokia phones, has quietly launched a new smartphone, but not under its own name. The new M-Kopa X30 comes through a collaboration with the Kenyan fintech company M-Kopa.

HMD and M-Kopa have been working together to make smartphones more affordable in African markets through M-Kopa’s “pay-as-you-go” financing model. 

HMD provides the hardware and software expertise, while M-Kopa handles distribution and flexible payment plans, so that more people can get access to modern smartphones without upfront costs.

M-Kopa X30 Specifications

Under the hood, the M-Kopa X30 packs a Unisoc T615 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It runs on Android 15 with HMD’s own AI enhancements sprinkled in. The phone has a 6.72-inch Full HD+ display (2400×1080) with the standard 60Hz refresh rate.

As for the cameras, the X30 features a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a surprisingly high-resolution 50-megapixel selfie camera on the front. 

The camera has a few AI tricks up its sleeve, like AI Remix Shots, which automatically picks the best expressions in group photos, and gesture selfies, allowing users to snap a shot just by blinking or flashing a peace sign.

Powering all of this is a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support, though only a 10W charger comes in the box. The phone also includes a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IP52 rating for protection against splashes and dust.

HMD’s next modular smartphone might be right around the corner. According to a leak shared by HMD Meme on X, the upcoming HMD Fusion 2 will bring notable upgrades to both its display and processor, while keeping the modular concept that made the original Fusion stand out.

The new model reportedly moves to a 6.58-inch Full HD+ display with a smoother 120Hz refresh rate, a nice step up from the Fusion’s 6.56-inch HD+ 90Hz panel. 

Under the hood, HMD is said to be swapping out the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4.

On the camera side, HMD seems to be taking a sensible approach. The Fusion 2 will keep its 108MP main sensor, but the 2MP secondary lens is reportedly being replaced with a much more useful 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Other features of the phone could include IP65 water and dust resistance, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and, thankfully, a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Smart Outfits Gen 2

But what makes the Fusion series special isn’t the specs, it’s the modular “Smart Outfits.” The smartphone is likely to feature two-way magnetic pins on the back that let users attach different cases for different use cases.

Speaking of which, HMD is reportedly expanding this lineup with the new Smart Outfits Gen 2, said to include a Wireless Charge Outfit, Gaming Outfit, Camera Grip Outfit, Speaker Outfit, and even a Smart Projector Outfit. There’s also a Casual Outfit with a Kickstand, a Rugged Outfit, and a Flashy Outfit for users who want a touch of style.

HMD also lets users 3D print their own custom designs using the open-source Fusion Development Toolkit, which was introduced for the first-gen Fusion. It’s likely the same support will continue with the Fusion 2.

HMD launched the Pulse Pro back in April last year and is now working on its successor, the Pulse 2 Pro. A new leak has revealed key specifications of the phone, including its battery and chipset, along with a render that shows an interesting redesign — the camera module appears inspired by Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup.

To be fair, the alleged Pulse 2 Pro’s camera assembly blends elements from both the standard iPhone 17 and the Pro models. The dual-camera setup rests inside a raised pill-shaped area, while that assembly itself sits within a raised squircle-shaped section — a design reminiscent of the iPhone 17 Pro models. Interestingly, the camera bump appears noticeably higher than that of the original Pulse Pro.

As for specifications, there are a few upgrades. According to the leak, the IPS LCD display now measures 6.7 inches, up from the predecessor’s 6.65 inches. The new panel also steps up to an FHD+ resolution from HD+ and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, compared to 90Hz previously. Collectively, this should translate to a significant improvement in the multimedia experience.

Under the hood, the Unisoc T606 from the Pulse Pro is reportedly being replaced by the Unisoc T615. This lines up with an earlier leak that mentioned the Unisoc T7250, which is essentially a rebadged version of the T615. However, the new processor is still based on a 12nm process like the T606 and doesn’t support 5G connectivity, so users hoping for 5G will have to look elsewhere.

Other upgrades include a slightly better ingress protection rating (IP54, up from IP52), along with dual speakers, two microphones, “custom buttons,” and an NFC coil. The phone is said to come in three color options: Glacier Green, Midnight Black, and Twilight Purple. Unfortunately, the tipster didn’t reveal a launch timeframe.

HMD Touch 4G Specs

From the leaked images, the Touch 4G looks oddly familiar. Maybe it’s just me, but I find the design eerily similar to the Nokia Lumia 1020, only in a smaller, more minimal form.

It has a familiar rounded corners and a circular camera housing on the back that encloses both the sensor and LED flash. Up front, you get thick bezels that feel straight out of the early 2010s. The phone will come in blue and black shades at the very least. 

According to the leak, the Touch 4G will feature a 3.2-inch display, with a touch-sensitive home button sitting below it. There’s also a headphone jack on the top and dual-SIM support. 

The box contents have also surfaced online, showing a charger, data cable, protective case, and the usual paperwork. Nothing out of the ordinary.

As for pricing, in a now-deleted X post, the tipster claimed the Touch 4G will launch in India for Rs 4,999. There’s no word yet on RAM or storage variants, but at that price point, it’s clearly aimed at entry-level users.

Late last month, we got the news that HMD Global has extended its licensing deal with Nokia. And now, the first result of that renewed partnership might be around the corner, in the form of a new rugged keypad phone.

According to a reliable HMD and Nokia tipster on X, the company is working on a second-generation Nokia 800 Tough. The original model debuted back in 2019 and, as the name suggests, it was built with durability in mind. 

Minimal changes on the cards

Its successor is reportedly on the way after six long years, though the changes it may bring appear to be minimal. The leak suggests that the new version will swap the aging microUSB port for USB-C and run KaiOS 3.1 instead of KaiOS 2.5.2.

The tipster also shared a render of the upcoming phone, and it looks almost identical to its predecessor. The back has a single rear camera flanked by an LED flash on one side and a speaker grille on the other.

Given the device’s lineage, it’s also safe to expect IP68 water and dust resistance along with MIL-STD-810G durability certification, just like the first-gen model.

For reference, the original Nokia 800 Tough featured a 2.4-inch TFT display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 205 chipset, 512MB of RAM, and a 2MP rear camera. It also included Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a 2,100mAh battery.

If this leak holds up, the Nokia 800 Tough (2nd Gen) looks more like a light refresh than a full redesign. 

There’s no word yet on pricing or availability, but given that the 2019 model launched at €110, it wouldn’t be surprising if the new one lands in a similar range.

Now, a new report by PTI reveals that Nokia has agreed to extend its licensing deal with HMD Global for several more years. While HMD Global will not be selling Nokia-branded smartphones, it will continue offering Nokia feature phones. Sources familiar with the matter said the extension will take the arrangement beyond the original expiry date of 2026. Both companies have not commented publicly on the development.

India remains the biggest market for Nokia feature phones

According to the report, HMD Global produces Nokia feature phones in India and China, with India serving as the largest market. The country not only absorbs the highest demand but also acts as an export hub for Nokia-branded devices.

Market data from IDC shows HMD dominates India’s feature phone landscape, with a 22.4 percent share by volume and about 30.7 percent by value. Shipments of feature phones in the country reached nearly 54 million units in 2024, underscoring the scale of demand that sustains Nokia’s presence.

For Nokia, extending the agreement secures its brand relevance in a segment it once defined worldwide. For HMD, the continued access to Nokia branding strengthens its presence in rural and urban markets where the name still resonates deeply.

Sources added that HMD’s future strategy involves expanding into HMD-branded smartphones, tablets, and potential collaborations with other companies, reducing its reliance on Nokia while continuing to build on the heritage of the brand. The extension effectively allows both companies to maintain operational stability in a market that remains central to global feature phone sales.

In a recent tweet, the company confirmed the launch date for the upcoming HMD Vibe 5G. It will make its official debut later this week, on 11th September 2025. A short video trailer was also shared on X (formerly Twitter), which confirmed its name and showcased its design. Looking at this device, we can see a familiar design, which is quite similar to its predecessor, the HMD Vibe.

To recall, the company announced the HMD Vibe with Snapdragon 680, which only supports 4G networking. So the new model is an upgraded refresh with 5G connectivity. While the brand has yet to confirm key details like the specs, we can assume the processor is getting an upgrade. Apart from this, the video teaser showed the HMD Vibe 5G with a dual camera setup on the rear housed in a rectangular camera module, which confirms its 50MP AI camera setup.

Notably, this module also appears to house an LED flash and two illuminated lines. It is unclear if they are purely for aesthetics or LED lights like Nothing’s Glyph interface. Based on what we know so far, the device is already listed on HMD India’s official website. The last notable detail teased in the video was its pricing. This model will debut for under Rs 10,000, but an actual figure is still at large and will be revealed in two days.

The Pulse 2 Pro is expected to feature a 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. For comparison, the original Pulse Pro had a smaller 6.65-inch HD+ panel capped at 90Hz.

Under the hood, HMD is moving from the Unisoc T606 to the Unisoc T7250. Despite the name change, the new chipset does not bring a major leap in raw power.

The phone retains a 5,000mAh battery with 20W charging, plus extras like IP54 splash resistance, NFC, and wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi.

It even extends to content taken from livestreams. Back in 2024, HMD and Xplora announced their partnership to work on addiction free smartphones.

This time around, HMD worked with SafeToNet for this feature, which can keep children safer online with OS level parental controls and AI powered blocking tech. The HMD Fuse sports a 6.56-inch display with an HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 600 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

A sizeable 5,000mAh battery pack powers HMD Fuse, which supports 33W wired fast charging. For photography, the rear has a 108MP dual camera setup, while the front houses a 50MP selfie shooter with autofocus. Other notable features include Android 15 OS, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side mounted fingerprint scanner, and an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. HMD just announced the HarmBlock+ in the UK exclusively with Vodafone for £33 a month.

HMD Global is preparing a refresh of its entry-level phones, but the upcoming HMD Vibe2 may raise eyebrows for the wrong reasons. Listings spotted on e-commerce sites and the EPREL database reveal the phone’s specs — and they suggest a downgrade compared to the original HMD Vibe.

Vibe2 specs and changes

The Vibe2 is powered by the Unisoc T606 4G, paired with a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD (90Hz), 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging, and 256GB storage with microSD support. It runs Android 15 and includes a 50MP main camera, two token 0.08MP auxiliary sensors, and a 5MP selfie camera. Unlike its predecessor, which had a punch-hole display, the Vibe2 moves back to a water-drop notch design.

On paper, performance also takes a hit: the Unisoc T606 trails the Snapdragon 680 used in the first Vibe across Geekbench, 3DMark, and AnTuTu benchmarks. Check the benchmark scores below.

Other features reportedly include IP52 splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is expected to sell in Australia for AUD 288 (~$187), with colors in Light Titanium and Dark Grey. The EPREL database also points to three additional models — the HMD Fuse, Pulse2, and Pulse2 Pro.

The Vibe2 may be pitched as an affordable 4G phone, but the cuts in performance and design make it look more like “one step forward, three steps back.” Buyers may find better value in rivals, or even the original Vibe if it’s still available.

The Digital Detox feature was first seen in the HMD Skyline series and can be activated from a home-screen widget, letting users set limits on how often certain apps can be opened.

The Pulse 2 series runs on the Unisoc T610 and features HD+ LCD displays across all models. The Pulse 2 and 2+ models feature 90Hz refresh rates, while the Pro version steps up to 120Hz. Camera hardware includes a 50MP main sensor (with a basic 0.8MP auxiliary lens) and 8MP front camera on the regular models, with the Pro offering a 50MP + 2MP rear setup and a 50MP selfie camera.

The phones keep the flat-frame design from the first Pulse series. Pricing is expected to stay in the same range, with the original Pulse starting at around $150 and the Pulse Pro (8GB+256GB) currently retailing for $179 on Amazon US. All models are expected to ship with Android 15 and an IP54 rating for splash resistance.

HMD appears to be gearing up for a wave of new budget smartphones. While the Pulse 2 series is reportedly in the works, a fresh leak from trusted HMD tipster HMD MEME’S points to two more devices on the horizon. Codenamed “MAHUZE” and “ACCORD,” the phones are expected to launch as the HMD Bold and HMD Crest 2, respectively.

Both are powered by a Unisoc chipset

Let’s start with the more powerful of the two. The HMD Crest 2 (or ACCORD internally) will be powered by the Unisoc T8300 5G chipset. That’s an octa-core processor built on TSMC’s 6nm process, featuring a 2+6 core setup. 

The prime is two Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz, while the SoC has six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz for efficiency. 

In performance tests, the HMD Crest 2 scored 743 on Geekbench’s single-core benchmark and 2285 in multi-core, decent numbers for a budget 5G phone. It’s expected to come with 4GB, 6GB, or even 8GB of RAM, depending on the configuration.

On the other side is the HMD Bold. It is rumored to be powered by Unisoc T7250, an entry-level chipset that still brings respectable specs. It features two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6GHz, manufactured on TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process. The Bold is expected to come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.

There is no official word yet on the release date or pricing, but if the leak from HMD MEME’S is anything to go by, these phones could land soon. We will keep you in the loop if we get any new details about them.

HMD seems to be expanding its lineup with three new phones under the Pulse 2 name: the Pulse 2, Pulse 2 Plus, and Pulse 2 Pro. According to a new leak, the trio will ship with Android 15 out of the box and target the budget segment, featuring modest hardware, Unisoc chipsets, and up to 50MP cameras.

Let’s start with the base model. The HMD Pulse 2 reportedly features a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. 

Powering the phone could be a Unisoc T7200 chip paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. The camera setup is said to include a 13MP main sensor paired with a depth sensor on the back, and an 8MP selfie camera.

The Pulse 2 Plus will retain the same display and Unisoc T7200 chip, but upgrade the main rear camera to 50MP, which should enhance detail in photos (assuming the sensor and software perform well). Memory options expand to 6GB, and storage remains the same: 64GB or 128GB.

Pulse 2 Pro might come with better cameras, but still an LCD panel

At the top of the line is the HMD Pulse 2 Pro, which gets a few more meaningful upgrades. It swaps in a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a smoother 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the newer Unisoc T7250 SoC. 

The rear camera setup adds a macro sensor alongside the 50MP main shooter and a depth sensor, while the front gets an unexpected 50MP camera. You also get more RAM (6GB or 8GB), up to 256GB of storage, and 20W fast charging support.

As mentioned earlier, all three phones will ship with Android 15. No word yet on pricing or release dates, but if the specs hold up, HMD might have a few compelling low-cost Android options on the way.
