Motorola‘s Edge 50 Pro, initially introduced in India, is now available for global markets. The smartphone has yet to make its debut in North America, but it’s already on sale in the UK and the Eurozone.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro boasts a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. This device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. The global variant of the Edge 50 Pro skips the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage option available in India, instead offering a single configuration of 12 GB RAM and 512 GB of storage.

The phone features a triple-camera setup on the rear, comprising a 50MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom and 50x hybrid zoom. The front-facing camera is a 50MP sensor for high-quality selfies.

Running Android 14 out of the box, the Edge 50 Pro is equipped with a 4500mAh battery that supports 125W fast charging. The phone also offers 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging capabilities. Additionally, it is water and dust-resistant with an IP68 rating.

Pricing & availability

The smartphone is offered in three colors: Black Beauty, Luxe Lavender, and Moonlight Pearl. In the UK, it’s priced at £599.99, and €699 in the Eurozone. Motorola has also announced plans to bring the Edge 50 Pro to Asia, Latin America, and Oceania. European and UK buyers will receive the recently launched Moto Buds Plus earbuds with their purchase.

To recall, the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 2000nits. Powered by the Dimensity 7050 chip, it comes with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for smooth performance. It packs a 5000mAh battery and 67W fast charging support.

On the front, the device features a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The phone runs on Realme UI 5-based Android 14.

In February, HMD confirmed that it would announce HMD-branded smartphones in the coming months. It appears that the HMD Pulse could be one of the first HMD phones to hit the market. A new report by MySmartPrice in partnership with popular tipster OnLeaks has leaked the images and key specifications of the HMD Pulse. Here is a look at what to expect from the phone.

HMD Pulse design

The leaked renders of the HMD Pulse show that it has a punch-hole screen on the front. The back panel of the phone has a simple look with a black-colored dual-camera module at the top-left corner and the HMD branding in the centre. The images show that the device will be available in three shades, such as black, blue, and pink.

The report revealed that the HMD Pulse will feature a 6.56-inch IPS LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution. The Unisoc T606 chipset will power the device. It will arrive in 4 GB and 8 GB RAM variants.

The HMD Pulse will ship with the Android 14 OS preinstalled. While it will pack a 5,000mAh battery, there is no information about its charging capabilities.

It is speculated that the HMD Pulse will be joined by two other models, such as the Pulse+ and the Pulse Pro. The details of these variants are not available yet. Motorola has officially launched the Edge 50 Ultra, the latest addition to its flagship smartphone lineup, offering powerful specs and unique design features to the global market.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra: Design & display

Design-wise, the phone looks quite similar to the recently launched Edge 50 Pro with a square camera island housing three camera lenses. The smartphone will be available in three finishes: Forest Grey and Peach Fuzz, which are vegan leather options, and Nordic Wood, which features a back made of actual wood with subtle wood fragrance infused into it. All three options come with a Sandblasted aluminum frame.

The Edge 50 Ultra features a 6.7-inch LTPS pOLED display with a resolution of 2,712 x 1,220 pixels and a 144 Hz refresh rate, paired with a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. The screen’s 20:9 aspect ratio, combined with HDR10+ support and a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and has received Pantone validation. The display also houses an in-built fingerprint sensor for security and is protected by 3D Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with anti-fingerprint coating.

Performance

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The front camera boasts a 50MP sensor with autofocus and an f/1.9 lens. All cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps, with slow-motion modes available at 1080p (120fps on the front, up to 960fps on the back).

The camera system offers a bunch of shooting modes such as Portrait, Macro, Long Exposure, Timelapse, Dual Capture, Ultra-Res, Night Vision, Tilt-Shift, Pro, Spot Color, and Scan (powered by Adobe Scan), alongside 360° Panorama. The OnePlus 11R was announced last year. It was released in two colour options. The same year in October, the brand announced a Solar Red color variant of the device. It was only limited to the highest 18GB + 512GB configuration. Now, the OnePlus 11R‘s base 8GB + 128GB RAM and storage variant will also be available in a Solar Red hue.

The Solar Red colour on the OnePlus 11R gives the phone a dual-tone look. This is because the half-pill-shaped camera island has a Black shade whereas the rest of the panel has a Red hue. The back panel features a vegan textured leather giving a premium feel. OnePlus says that Solar Red seamlessly blends form and function.

This Solar Red option will be offered on the 8GB + 128GB variant of the OnePlus 11R. It is already listed on the Amazon website. Only the phone’s pricing remains a mystery which shall be revealed on April 18. OneCarr, ICICI, and HDFC Bank cardholders will be eligible for up to Rs 1,250 instant discount.

The regular colour options of the OnePlus 11R is priced at Rs 39,999. We expect the Solar Red variant to also cost the same. It’s worth noting that the OnePlus 12R debuted globally two months ago. Hence, it doesn’t make sense to go for an older model i.e. the OnePlus 11R. The device has a 120Hz AMOLED display, a triple rear camera headlined by 50MP main sensor, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood, and a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 100W charging.

The Redmi Pad Pro is the latest and the most powerful Redmi-branded tablet to date. It is currently limited to China but is expected to be released globally in the coming weeks.

1. A display like no other

The Redmi Pad Pro has the largest and most capable display on a tablet in its segment. It is built around a 12.1-inch LCD panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

This screen offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, 249 PPI, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports up to 600 nits peak brightness level and can play Dolby Vision content.

It has multiple TÜV Rheinland certifications for eye protection, thanks to DC dimming, hardware-level blue light filter, and ambient color temperature.

A new gaming console from Sony is reportedly in the works. The PlayStation 5 Pro is the rumored model, which was recently sighted in a fresh report. The latest leak hints that the upcoming console could be a powerhouse in gaming, bringing in major upgrades in ray tracing and GPU performance. So here are all the details.

Sony PS5 Pro may get major upgrades in hardware

The news arrives from TheVerge who shared the “Trinity” codename of the upcoming Sony PS5 Pro. The report cites sources who claimed that Sony has begun asking developers to make their games compatible with the PS5 Pro. Leaked documents that the Trinity is a “high-end version” of the PlayStation 5. So this means that it’s a more powerful console compared to the PS5 Slim, which only offers a redesigned body.

It is unknown whether the brand might continue to sell the standard PS5 after the PS5 Pro drops. But based on what we know so far, the Pro model will offer a more powerful GPU and a marginally faster CPU mode. Thanks to upgrades in hardware, Sony could offer a 45 percent bump in performance over the base PS5. The document added that the gaming console will be capable of a “more powerful ray tracing architecture” as well.

Reportedly, the Ray Tracing on the PS5 Pro maybe three times faster than the base PS5. These improvements should include memory as well. The PS5 offers 448GB/s memory speeds, which could see a bump by up to 28 percent with 576GB/s. It seems like the brand has even started sending out PS5 Pro test kits to developers to make games that take advantage of the new more powerful console. Unfortunately, it is still unclear when Sony will unveil the PS5 Pro, so stick around for more updates.
