NVIDIA introduces Cloud G-SYNC technology that enhances cloud gaming experience

NVIDIA has unveiled its Cloud G-SYNC technology, which is aimed at enhancing the game streaming experience for users of GeForce NOW. Exclusive to GeForce NOW RTX 4080 SuperPOD instances under the Ultimate subscription tier, Cloud G-SYNC synchronizes display refresh rates with cloud gaming streams, minimizing screen tearing and stuttering for smoother gameplay. This feature also incorporates Reflex technology to reduce latency in cloud gaming.

Specific requirements for compatibility and usage

To utilize Cloud G-SYNC, users must have display equipment with a refresh rate higher than 60Hz and support for variable refresh rate (VRR) technology, such as Nvidia G-SYNC, AMD FreeSync, or Apple’s ProMotion. Notably, Cloud G-SYNC is only available through native GeForce NOW applications and does not extend to browser, mobile, or TV clients.

For Windows systems, a minimum requirement of NVIDIA Turing architecture graphics cards (GTX 16 or RTX 20 series) is necessary, excluding support for Intel or AMD GPUs. Additionally, the macOS version of the application supports all Apple Silicon models and select Intel-based Mac models, including specific MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, and Mac Pro configurations.

It’s essential to ensure that systems equipped with GeForce have at least the R545 driver version to support Cloud G-SYNC. However, NVIDIA clarifies that under Windows, multiple monitors are not supported with this feature. Alongside the introduction of Cloud G-SYNC, NVIDIA has also launched the GeForce NOW cloud game day pass, offering Priority and Ultimate versions priced at $3.99 and $7.99, respectively. These passes provide 6 or 8 hours of gaming at the corresponding level, catering to users who temporarily step away from their computers or wish to explore cloud gaming options.

As per a leaked promo poster shared by Mukul, the iQOO Z9 will come in two storage options: 8GB/128GB for Rs.17,999 and 8GB/256GB for Rs.19,999. These prices likely include a Rs. 2,000 discount which will be available to ICICI and HDFC bank customers. So the actual retail price will likely be Rs. 19,999 and 21,999. The smartphone will be available for early access on March 13 at 12 PM, with the official sale commencing on March 14 at 12 PM.

iQOO Z9 5G specs:

The iQOO Z9 5G is made with performance in mind, featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC for smooth gaming. It will feature an AMOLED display with 1800 nits peak brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display will also have a 300Hz touch sampling rate and a 1200Hz instant touch sampling rate offering snappy controls and touch response.

The camera setup will includes a Sony IMX882 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for clear, stable shots. The phone will have a 5000 mAh battery supports up to 5.9 hours of gaming or 17.4 hours of video playback. It could also feature 44W fast charging support. The smartphone will be available in two colors: Brushed Green and Graphene Blue. More details are expected to be revealed as we get closer to the launch, so stay tuned.

Samsung continues its rollout of the One UI 6.0 update, based on Android 14, with the popular Galaxy A72 now joining the list of supported devices.

While many Samsung users are now expecting the newer One UI 6.1, there are still some devices awaiting the One UI 6 update, including the Galaxy A72, which has just begun receiving the Android 14 update.

The update has officially gone live in select Middle Eastern and European countries, with India also on the list.

If you own a Galaxy A72 in these regions, be on the lookout for the update with the firmware version A725FXXU6EXB3, which also includes the January 2024 security patch.

Alternatively, if you prefer a manual update using a Windows PC, you can download the necessary firmware from Samsung’s official archive.

Android 14 marks the final major OS update for the Galaxy A72. However, Samsung may release One UI 6.1 before the device reaches the end of its support period.

What to Expect with One UI 6.0

One UI 6 introduces several noticeable changes. The Quick Panel has been redesigned for easier access to frequently used settings, while a new font refreshes the overall visual experience. Music lovers can enjoy a new media player widget for a lock screen and notification control.

To recall, the Nokia G42 was first announced in India back in September 2023 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Soon after its release, a new 8GB + 256GB variant in a fresh Pink color option also went on sale. Now, the 4GB + 128GB option has also been released in the region in three color variants. This includes the So Pink, So Purple, and So Gray versions.

Oppo is apparently working on a new Reno series smartphone model. The new Reno 11A was recently spotted in a certification platform, which hints that the device’s launch could be right around the corner. So here are all the details.

Oppo Reno 11A visits Bluetooth SIG

The Chinese brand’s Reno 11A was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification. It appeared on the database carrying the CPH2603 model number. To recall, this is the same model number as the Reno 11F, which launched back in February 2024. Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal any finer details regarding the Reno 11A, but confirms the support for Bluetooth 5.2 standard.

The Bluetooth SIG certification also hints that this might be a model that could launch in Japan soon. If this is true, then it is likely a rebranded Reno 11F for Japan. Based on what we know so far, the Reno 11F sports a tall 6.7-inch OLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The front packs a 32-megapixel selfie shooter, while the rear features a 64-megapixel triple camera setup. Under the hood, it is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC that is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

As per leaks, the Zenfone 11 Ultra will resemble the ROG Phone 8 series. It will be available in five colors, such as Eternal Black, Skyline Blue, Misty Gray, Verdure Green, and Desert Sienna.

The handset will come with a 6.78-inch FHD+ 144Hz LTPO AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with support for 65W wired as well as 15W wireless charging standards.

Google‘s relentless pace of software updates continues! Hot on the heels of this week’s Pixel Feature Drop, the company has already launched Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2 for eligible Pixel devices (Pixel 5a and newer).

The newest beta should squash several bugs from last month’s release, but early reports suggest it comes with a major caveat.

Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2 addresses some frustrating hiccups from the initial QPR3 beta. This includes device crashes during specific events like app updates or switching users, displays failing to wake after a reboot, always-on display malfunctions, and the disappearance of battery status information. Additionally, backup and restore processes should now function as intended.

These are the bug fixes in the Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2 update:

– Fixed an issue that sometimes caused a device to crash or restart unexpectedly.
– Fixed an issue that sometimes caused a device to crash or restart unexpectedly while updating apps after the device was flashed.
– Fixed issues that caused a device to display a blank, black screen after booting from flash.
– Fixed an issue that caused a device to crash and display a blank, black screen after switching to a secondary user.
– Fixed issues when always-on display mode was enabled that interfered with the “Double tap to wake” gesture and prevented the device from unlocking if the user tried to use their fingerprint to unlock the device.
– Fixed an issue that sometimes caused battery information to not display correctly in the system settings, status bar, and on the lock screen.
– Fixed issues that prevented device-to-device transfers and backup and restore from working.

Android 14 QPR 3 Beta 2 is bricking Pixel phones

Unfortunately, it looks like these fixes come with a serious risk. Multiple sources, including 9to5Google, have reported that sideloading Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2 can soft-brick Pixel devices, meaning they cannot fully boot.

Even Google’s upcoming flagship, the Pixel 8 Pro, and the foldable Pixel Fold aren’t immune to this issue.

While the temptation to get those bug fixes immediately might be strong, it’s better to hold off on sideloading for now.

The OTA (over-the-air) update appears to work without encountering the bricking issue. If you absolutely must sideload, AndroidPolice’s report suggests that users should make sure the ‘OEM Unlock’ option is enabled in the device’s developer settings as a precaution.

But for now, it seems best to avoid sideloading, particularly if you rely on your Pixel phone as your primary device.

The South Korean tech giant’s upcoming tablet surfaced in two different variants on UAE’s TDRA certification platform. Looking at the online database, we can see that the LTE and WiFi only models were certified. This includes the SM-P625 and the SM-P620 model numbers. Just this week, these model numbers were also seen in other certifications as well.

The two variants visited the Bluetooth SIG certification, revealing support for Bluetooth 5.3 standards. Similarly, the FCC and UL certification listed the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 with a large 6,840mAh battery pack that supports 15W wired fast charging. Earlier today (8th March 2024), the renders and specifications of this tablet was also revealed in a Winfuture report.

Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 sports a tall 10.4-inch LCD panel that offers FHD+ resolution. The front also houses a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, while the rear packs an 8-megapixel camera. Samsung’s 2024 edition of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will reportedly be equipped with the Exynos 1280 SoC that might be paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Huawei Band 9 gets TDRA certification, hinting imminent launch

Huawei is gearing up to launch its new fitness tracker, the Band 9, globally, and signs point to its arrival soon. Following its recent listing on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification, Band 9 has now received certification from the UAE’s TDRA as well.

The band is listed on the TDRA’s database with model number KIM-B19, the same as the one listed on the SIRIM database. However, apart from its presence on the certification site, which suggests a UAE launch is likely, no further details about the tracker have been revealed by the listing.

While the certification doesn’t provide specifics about its features or specifications, the Band 9 is expected to build upon the success of its predecessor, the Band 8, which was released last year.

To quickly recap, the Band 8 features a sizable 1.47-inch AMOLED display, offering a great visual experience for a budget-friendly tracker. It includes Huawei’s TruSleep 3.0 technology for accurate sleep monitoring and personalized sleep guidance.

Moreover, the Band 8 is equipped with TruSeen 5.0 heart rate monitoring, providing users with a 7-day resting heart rate graph for valuable insights into their heart health.

According to the Geekbench entry, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) will run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset. For those who might not know, this chipset is essentially a rebranded version of the Dimesnity 930 processor found in its predecessor, the G Power 5G (2023).

The Samsung Galaxy A55 was just spotted in a European telecom operator‘s platform, which hinted at an imminent European launch. Now, an e-retailer sighting has revealed the pricing of the Galaxy A55 as well as the Galaxy A35. So here are all the details.

It was was listed in a Lemon, Lilac, Ice Blue, and Navy Blue color options with a starting price tag of 479 Euros for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The higher end 8GB + 256GB configuration costs 529 Euros. Similarly, the Galaxy A35 model also arrives in these identical colors as well as storage options. It has a starting price tag of 379 Euros for the 8GB + 128GB version, and goes up to 449 Euros for the 8GB + 256GB variant.

Sony, the Japanese tech giant, could be planning a major shift in its smartphone strategy. Multiple reports from Chinese media sources indicate the company might be considering an exit from the competitive Chinese smartphone market.

According to a report by mydrivers, Sony won’t release its next Xperia smartphone in China, and its mobile division might completely pull out of the mainland China market.

The exact reason for this move isn’t clear yet, but it could be because Sony’s smartphones have struggled to gain much market share in China.

Sony’s journey in China’s smartphone market began with its acquisition of Ericsson’s stake over a decade ago. While it was initially successful, Sony has had a hard time keeping up with the competition. As a result, Sony now holds only a small portion of the Chinese smartphone market.

While disappointing, a withdrawal from China would not end Sony’s presence within the mobile industry. Sony’s expertise in smartphone camera sensors space will still keep it a major player in the market.

However, do note that Sony has yet to officially confirm or deny the reports. Until then, any changes regarding the availability of Sony phones in China remain speculative.

Upcoming Sony Xperia smartphones

As for upcoming Sony Xperia smartphones, there are rumors about the Xperia 1 VI and 5 VI.

A previous report suggests that Sony is planning to include the world’s first in-camera digital signature technology in its next-generation Xperia phones.

This feature would let users digitally sign photos right into the camera, ensuring their authenticity and preventing tampering.

Another report from January gave possible camera specs for the Xperia 1 VI, mentioning 48MP sensors for all three lenses.

Qualcomm is expected to unveil a new flagship-grade chip bearing the SM8635 model number this month. The rumor mill is tentatively calling the chip the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. In December 2023, iQOO announced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered iQOO Neo 9 and the Neo 9 Pro with the Dimensity 9300 chip in China. The predecessor Neo 8 series included two models, such as the Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro. However, the Neo 7 series, which was released in 2022, featured the Neo 7 equipped with the Dimensity 9000+, the Neo 7 Racing Edition with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and the Neo 7 SE with the Dimensity 8200.

On the back, the device will have a dual-camera system headlined by a 50-megapixel camera, and it will lack a plastic bracket. Likely, some of its specifications could be identical to those of the iQOO Neo 9.

The tipster has previously claimed that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered will offer 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device will be equipped with a plastic frame and pack a large battery with 120W fast charging. As far as the launch is concerned, the device is expected to break cover in April in the home market. It is unclear whether the device will be released on the global market.

Poco F6 Pro spotted on NBTC certification, launch may be imminent

Poco is building momentum in 2024 with the recent release of the Poco X6 and X6 Pro smartphones. Now, signs point towards an upcoming addition to the company’s lineup with the Poco F6 series.

The Poco F6 Pro, with model number 23113RKC6G, has been certified by Thailand’s NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission). This certification typically indicates an approaching launch date.

So when might it hit the market? Well, considering that the Poco F5 smartphone was released last May, we can expect a similar timeframe for the F6 Pro. Moreover, devices that receive NBTC certification typically hit the shelves within 1-2 months.

For instance, both the Poco X6 Pro and X6 received NBTC certification in November and December respectively, and were officially launched in January. Following this pattern, it’s reasonable to expect the Poco F6 Pro to make its debut in April or May of 2024.

Poco F6 Pro Specifications (Rumored)

Interestingly, speculation suggests the Poco F6 Pro might be a rebranded Chinese Redmi K70. That is because the K70’s model number — 23113RKC6C — is very similar to the F6 Pro.

If the rebranding theory holds true, the Poco F6 Pro will have a 6.65-inch OLED display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device could be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
