POCO to launch the most affordable 5G phone ever in India soon: Exec

POCO is apparently working on a new budget smartphone model for the Indian market. But this isn’t just any phone with a light price tag, the company’s India head has hinted that this device will arrive as the most affordable 5G smartphone ever in the region.

Most Affordable 5G Phone from POCO

POCO M6 5G
POCO C65

The news arrives from Himanshu Tandon, who is the head of POCO’s Indian arm. He recently shared a teaser that confirmed the “POCO X Airtel” partnership, which is coming soon. when another user on X (formerly Twitter) asked whether this is a new POCO Neo series or F6 series device, Tandon replied that it is not an Airtel version of an existing model. Rather, he stated that it will be the most affordable 5G phone to launch in India.

To recall, the Chinese brand had previously relaunched the POCO C51 model in a partnership with Airtel. This collaboration brought exclusive Airtel benefits, like special affordable plans for those that buy that model. But since this isn’t a simple rerelease, we have no idea which smartphone will carry the crown for the most affordable 5G phone.

Unfortunately, this is all the information we have at the moment. This new POCO device will likely be teased or spotted in leaks ahead of its release, so stay tuned for more as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this matter.

Samsung Galaxy M15 5G Google Play Console listing confirms MediaTek processor

Samsung is gearing up to expand its budget-friendly Galaxy M series with the upcoming Galaxy M15 5G. The device has been spotted on the Google Play Console, revealing some key specifications and hinting at an imminent launch.

Samsung Galaxy M15 5G Google Play Console listing

According to the listing on the Play Console database, the smartphone will be equipped with a MediaTek MT6835V/ZA processor featuring two Cortex-A76 performance cores, six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, and a Mali G57 GPU.

The chipset’s specifications closely resemble those of the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, which we have already seen in action in Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy A15 5G. So we can expect both devices to perform similarly in everyday tasks.

Additionally, the smartphone will come with 4GB of RAM and will run on Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI interface. The display is listed as a 6.5-inch Full HD+ panel, likely a Super AMOLED screen offering a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.

Apart from these details, the Play Console listing doesn’t reveal much else about the device. However, it recently obtained Safety Korea certification, confirming the presence of a substantial 5880mAh (possibly marketed as 6000mAh) battery with 25W fast charging support.

Renderings of the device surfaced earlier this month, showcasing a typical Samsung design featuring a teardrop notch for the front camera and offering three color options. Furthermore, the device has acquired necessary certifications like FCC and BIS, indicating an imminent launch in various markets.

The Galaxy M15 5G’s specs we’ve seen so far are similar to those of the Galaxy A15 5G and the Galaxy F15 5G. This aligns with Samsung’s usual strategy for its budget-friendly devices, where we often see similarities among models.

Therefore, one can expect little variation between these three devices.  If you’re interested in learning more about the Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy F15 5G, you can find further details here:

OnePlus Nord 4 tipped to launch soon, here’s what to expect

In January, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R flagship phones for the global market. It appears that the brand will shift its focus to launching Nord-branded affordable phones on the market. As per an X post by reliable leaker Max Jambor, the OnePlus Nord 4 will be the next smartphone from the brand.

OnePlus Nord 4 coming soon

While Jambor claimed that the Nord 4 is codenamed “Audi,” he did not reveal anything about its specifications. Although he mentioned the device’s moniker, some reports suggest that it could be named the OnePlus Nord 5, as certain Chinese brands tend to skip the number 4 due to it being considered a bad omen in some countries.

Rumors are rife that OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus Ace 3V smartphone in the Chinese market. Speculated to launch this month, it could be the first smartphone to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset.

To recall, the OnePlus Nord 3 that debuted last year was a tweaked version of the Ace 2V, which remained exclusive to the Chinese market. Hence, it is likely that the Nord 4 could be based on the Ace 3V. Like the predecessor model, the Ace 3V may remain confined to the Chinese market.

According to reports, the OnePlus Ace 3V will have an OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is said to pack a 5,500mAh battery and support 100W fast charging.

The Ace 3V will run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14 and come with up to 16 GB of RAM in China. It is said to have a plastic frame and a glass back. The other details of the Ace 3V are under wraps. Shown above is a schematic that reportedly showcases the design of the Ace 3V / Nord 4. As mentioned above, the upcoming Nord 4 may pack the same above-mentioned specs.

Xiaomi’s Upcoming Redmi K80 Series Smartphones will Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Gen 4 CPUs, Leak States

A leak from blogger @Digital Chat Station, shared on IT Home on March 6th, has shed some light on Xiaomi‘s upcoming Redmi K80 series smartphones. While official details remain under wraps, the leak offers hints about what to expect from the next generation of these popular devices.

The information hints towards a late 2024 release for these devices

The leak suggests that Xiaomi is currently developing two new iterations within the K series: the Redmi K80 and the Redmi K80 Pro. While a specific launch date isn’t mentioned, the information points towards a late 2024 release, potentially aligning with the availability of the next-generation Snapdragon processors.

Redmi K70

A significant shift in processing power is hinted at, with the leak suggesting a move away from the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the Redmi K70. Instead, Xiaomi might equip the K80 series with either the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or even the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, depending on their availability by the end of the year.

The leak also highlights Xiaomi’s focus on two key areas: battery life and design. The rumor mill churns with the possibility of “ultra-large-capacity high-density silicon anode batteries,” suggesting an improvement over the Redmi K70’s 5000mAh capacity. Design-wise, the K80 series is expected to retain the familiar elements of the K70, including a 2K screen, a metal middle frame, and a glass body.

It’s crucial to remember that this information is based on a leak and not official confirmation from Xiaomi. While it provides a glimpse into the potential direction Xiaomi might be taking with the K80 series, official details regarding specifications, features, and release dates could differ.

Xiaomi 14T Pro surfaces online, could launch with Dimensity 9300

Guess what? There’s exciting news about the Xiaomi 14T Pro – its important features have been leaked! Some might think it’s too soon, especially with the recent launch of the 13T Pro. But surprise, surprise, Xiaomi is already working on the 14T series, and there’s a twist – it seems like the 14T Pro could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K70 Ultra.

Xiaomi 14T Pro is coming

Let’s talk about the leaked specs for the Xiaomi 14T Pro. Xiaomi 13T series didn’t quite match up to the Xiaomi 12T series in certain areas. People missed the vibrant screen and fast charging support in the 12T series. The only standout feature, according to some, was the improved camera. But now, Xiaomi is cooking up something new with 14T series, and it looks like big launches are on the horizon, expected in August and September.

GSMChina now offers some interesting information. The interesting part – the Xiaomi 14T Pro has made an appearance on the IMEI database with model numbers “2407FPN8EG” for the global version and “2407FPN8ER” for the Japanese version. This means the smartphone is set to launch in various regions, including Japan. There’s also a different model number for the Chinese version, “2407FRK8EC” which is associated with the Redmi K70 Ultra. While there might be a few differences in features, both models are likely to be quite similar.

Xiaomi 14T Pro has the codename “rothko” and interestingly, so does the Redmi K70 Ultra. Xiaomi often gives its Redmi K series codenames inspired by painters and this time, it’s Mark Rothko, a famous US painter known for his “color field painting” or “late pictorial abstraction.”

While we don’t know all the details about the Xiaomi 14T Pro yet, what we do know is that it will boast a powerful MediaTek processor, possibly the Dimensity 9300 SOC. Expect some improvements in the camera and other areas. The Redmi K70 Ultra is set to be officially unveiled in August, and shortly after that, we can look forward to the announcement of the 14T series. Exciting times ahead!

Samsung Galaxy A55’s Spec Sheet & Official Images Revealed by Belgian Telecom Company

A Belgian telecom company has accidentally revealed the full specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A55, scheduled for an official unveiling on March 11th. This leak, which includes spec details and official images, confirms earlier rumors and gives us a clear picture of what to expect from the new phone. Let’s have a look!

The leak confirms most previous rumors surrounding the Galaxy A55

The A55 will be powered by the Exynos 1480 SoC, a capable processor for everyday use and multimedia. While the leak confirms 6GB of RAM, previous reports suggested potential variants with up to 12GB for smoother multitasking. Storage starts at 128GB, but a microSD card slot allows for expansion up to 1TB, providing ample space for data.

Samsung Galaxy A55

The display takes a step up from the A54, offering a larger 6.6-inch OLED panel for vibrant visuals and wide viewing angles. A centered punch-hole houses the selfie camera, maintaining a clean aesthetic.

The camera setup remains unchanged from the A54, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens, catering to various photography needs. The front-facing camera boasts 32MP for selfies and video calls.

The A55 retains the reliable 5,000 mAh battery from previous A-series phones, ensuring long battery life. Software takes a leap forward, ditching Android 13 for the latest Android 14, offering access to new features and potentially longer software support from Samsung.

While the leak reveals most details, pricing remains unknown. We expect Samsung to unveil official pricing during the March 11th event, allowing potential buyers to make informed decisions. This leak, however, provides valuable information for those interested in the A55’s capabilities and whether it aligns with their needs and budget.
